Not impressed with the service when i went there. No one at reception and 2 staff chatting to each other without acknowledging we were even there.
Similar experience with the ford dealership in newmarket.
Disappointing as our previos experience, incuding the purchase of our last car, had been excellent.
Walked out and went to a few other dealership. Subaru, toyota and nissan all of which displayed far more interest in customer service and will probably supply our next vehicle as a result.

Doggy place you should avoid. They showed you a good condition car when inspecting and test driving but gave you a different condition car with different parts when picking up the car.
Nice guys, good people skills, easy to talk to. Very happy with the service provided, most of my purchase was done via phone and email ,they had the car I wanted so travelled 5hours to buy.
Went in to buy a car. There was paperwork that apparently proved work had been done to the car. Salesman didn t want to bother previous owner because he had cancer. Why wasn t this info with the books? Decided I wanted car, told them so. Later in day saw Advertisement disappear and thought it was because I was buying, only to find out they had sold car from under me. Turned out to be a godsend as I got the same car, in pristine condition $2000 cheaper. Made derogatory comments to me about upping my budget and putting financial pressure on husband. I was paying for the car, I also own 2 properties.
Anthony was an absolute legend helping me with the purchase of my ranger. Friendly, to the point and no pushy tactics at all. Donna was great organising the rims and tint getting everything done well and in a short time. Highly recommend the team! Cheers guys
I would rate this business minus 5 star if google gave me such option. Was refused and told they were not a Ford dealer when I rang and asked if I could get my recalled Ford Kuga( bought in Sydney) checked and serviced here. They gave me another ford dealers number to ring which is far away from where I live. Avoid this business!!!!!
Taking delivery of our new car we could ask for better service. Holly.Selina and Paul had everything down to a fine art. Delivery was on time and Holly took the time to explain the items I wanted to know more about
I Bought my car from Byrne ford Kedron. They offered me capped price servicing. After my service they told me i have to replace 6 parts in my car and gave me a quote for $ 2000. I went to another place to get a second opinion. They looked at every part you told me to replace and showed me and explained every thing in great detail and non of those parts needed replacing and those parts were in excellent condition except rear break pads and it only costs me $245. I'm extremely disappointing with your service and would not recommend any one to go there again.
Fantastic service and unbelievable price: When we were looking for a new car, a family member recommended Byrne Ford. We were so glad we did. From the start the staff were so helpful and eager to please, and we are stoked with our new Ranger. We were extremely happy with the price and finance rate. Massive thank you to Justin, Brett, Ben and staff.
UPDATE: WOW I love my Ford Ranger! It is such a great vehicle. We've had it for almost 6 weeks now and are almost at 3000kms, and what a pleasurable 3000kms they were. I can't stop smiling when I think of the fun we've already had, and the adventures we have planned in the future
Car was delivered with aftermarket suspension And the steering wheel was crooked.
Took it back to get fixed was told that I need to return it back to stock for them to fix??? Basically told people don't lift 4x4s and put on after market wheels and tyres.
Since have offered to pay for wheel alignment anywhere I choose. Makes it hard considering I use the car for work.
Sales staff are pretty good and professional.
Service staff are not well educated. Also lack basic customer service and people skills.
Also delivered with no weather shields. Give me a refund! Why would it be ok to take money for them but not put them on?
Spend $60k on a car with a crooked steering wheel. Then to be told to sort it out yourself.
Probably better dealerships out there but these guys don't realise this is giving ford a bad name. I'd bleed blue. Only ever owned fords. Dare say I won't after this one.
Car was serviced and ready to go on time. Helpful qualified staff to meet you in the morning to make sure there's any technical issues you may have are fixed. Definitely one of the better dealer service departments I have been to over the years.
Wonderful experience purchasing a used car after my Ford Falcon was dubiously written off by the insurance company. I wandered into Byrne Ford Used Cars last weekend and yesterday I drove out in my new Ford Focus. The team were professional, friendly, genuine and knowledgable, especially Anthony. We would thoroughly recommended purchasing a used car here. Well done.
Brett Murray, Martin, Holly and the whole team are to be commended on their attention to detail and authentic, down to earth approach with customer service always at the forefront. Wouldn t do business with another dealer
Bought a fantastic, good priced second hand car. Was promised a tank full of fuel, did not get. Emailed about it several times, never a response. So, I voided their site warranty, bit the bullet and serviced the car elsewhere. Also, the used car manager asked me how I got the cash to pay for the whole car upfront, which I found very intrusive.
Buying my new VF wagon and trading in my old car was so easy. The guys were a pleasure to deal with and very helpful and informative along the way. Next car purchase I'll be going to them first.
I could not be more disappointed!!! This will be a long read but hopefully it will allow you to go to a dealer who will give you a good experience and service because this is not the company to deal with if you want that. I purchased a used vehicle from the $30+k Finance was approved on a Monday, was told vehicle would be ready when they received the funds in there account. Miday Friday I phoned to see if they had received the funds, to be told they would check and get back to me. 3pm I get a call from the salesman to say they had the funds, but the vehicle wasn't ready for collection because it still needed to be detailed and the detailers were about to finish for the day, they had a week from when finance was approved and it wasn't ready? I said okay I'll pick it up Saturday afternoon, no the detailers don't work Saturdays, I said I'd pick it up Monday at 1pm, yes it will be ready. 1pm Monday I get there to take delivery, they are still detailing it. Next day I realised the rear right indicator wasn't working, thought I had blown a globe, but no there was no bulb in it at all. Then I also found over the next couple of days that the window washers were blocked, the wiper blades were that hard they wouldn't wipe the rain from the screen, how did this vehicle get a safety certificate, pretty obvious because they tick boxes and don't do the checks. On top of this I realised that it was only a couple of thousand k's from needing to be serviced which would be a further $300 cost under there fixed price servicing to maintain the warranty. The vehicle is under a fully maintained lease through salary sacrifice which covers all the running costs of the vehicle. I went to book it in with there service department to be told they wouldn't do that I'd have to pay it and be reimbursed, it would take a phone call to the third party to receive a credit card payment over the phone, the young girl in the office was very nice but said she didn't think they would do that but she would ask the manager and ring back, I explained that if they weren't prepared to do that I would have the service done elsewhere. She phoned back to say that the manager had said they wouldn't do that and if I took it elsewhere for service I would breach the warranty ( which I doubt very much if it is worth the paper it's written on) Which I believe is untrue, hopefully I will not need to test it out and the vehicle will not have any warranty issues. I will never deal with this company again. They don't deserve to be in business and the only reason they are as far as I can see is by being shonky and ripping people off, it is certainly not because of good costumer service. Sorry it was long winded but I hope it saves you from having the same experience as me and that your experience is a pleasurable one with a different dealer. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review so please heed my warning STAY WELL CLEAR
Do not trust 3 YEAR USED CAR WARRANTY as it should go to rubbish bin! Dodgy and untrustworthy dealers. Do not waste your hard earned money to these people! You will soon find out why many of the customers are so upset if you ignore this..
Pretty poor generally. We bought a Ford here in 2010 and while they didn't take advantage of my wife (who sorted out the car purchase while I was away), they certainly took advantage of her inexperience and made sure she didn't get a better deal than they did. So, in fairness I was likely going in with the wrong mentality, but after going in to check out the ST get told by a lady "we only have the RS"... And that was it. No "we can get one in", or "but the RS could be a consideration", just a nope then move on. It was a bit of a surprise considering we had been to a few dealerships of all brands the past week and they were all pretty great with the "helpful but not overbearing" service. Byrne have gobe way too far down the "not overbearing" route to the point they aren't even helpful. Would have been interested to see if I got treated differently in negotiations than my wife did.
Peter, Brett and David were all professional and helpful while purchasing my Fiesta ST. Absolutely no pressure to buy, they did a great deal on car and finance. Got the accessories I wanted asap ready for delivery. Thank you for being a person and not a salesman.
Couldn t fault my dealings with Byrne Ford kedron starting with Brett and his team all the way through the process from when I made enquiries . Genuine and efficient and Brett always goes the extra mile. Sending colleagues and mates Byrne Fords way
We would like to thank Paul Lewis for his excellent service with the purchase of our new Ford Ranger and all the extra accessories that Paul arranged on our behalf. The accessories that we required were difficult to arrange and Paul went to a lot of trouble to sort any issues for us. We would recommend Paul to anyone wanting to purchase a new Ford. Thankyou Paul. Chris & Shauna Fitzpatrick
Made promises they didnt keep. Raised issue but they never bothered to call me back. Wont be going back or recommending to any one. Use cation when buying a used car.
Sent my Ford to fix a sagging front door but job wasn't properly done the first time; so i brought my car in for a second visit. Got charged ridiculous price for both times and was later told they couldn't fix my problem.
Fantastic Customer Service, Communication was outstanding and just all round great environment to be around. The team at Byrne Ford went over and beyond and I honestly can t thank them enough. Thank you for my new Ranger
I rang up to see if they were able to put holes in to my new number plates and they wanted to charge me $160 to inspect to car and said that they might not be able to do it.That is bad service not knowing if you can do something and try and try to charge $160. I found Manny's Mechanical Repairs which looked at the car and fitted the number plates for free.
Went to this dealer when looking to buy my new car, walked around the lot and looked in some cars then hung around a bit more. Didn't get spoken to once, saw a salesperson standing inside looking at me but didn't bother to come and chat. Went and bought a new car with extras elsewhere
I hope that the big car companies read these reviews and take note. There is nothing particularly wrong with the products that these car companies engineer and produce. A recurring theme is the lack of support and interest from the companies and their dealer and service network. They don't seam to be interested in standing behind the products or taking any responsibility for them when they go wrong. This is quite simply appalling no matter what business you are in.
My daughter & I attended the Ford dealership at Kedron to purchase her first ever new car. Sad to say it was less than impressive and was a deal-breaker for us. No-one knew we were coming (even though after their frantic look back through their dealership 'diary' the arrangements she had made during the week prior were discovered). We were passed through the hands of three people as we were hot-potatoed as to who should take us for a test-drive. The employee who did take us allowed us a 5-min drive around the block and when asked if we could test-drive on a faster road due to my daughter's work requirements and hence her need to purchase a car that handled the highway well, we were told 'No, I don't have time for that'. Upon arrival back at the dealership we were dismissed (a term not used lightly), with no offer of further information, no offer to answer any queries and no interest shown in our potential purchase. Not even a price provided. My daughter was serious about buying that car. It was a top-contender in her choices but neither she nor I were going to 'beg' to be shown more. Nor did it build trust in us to trust them with the sale nor care for us as new owners. We purchased elsewhere. As a first time car buyer my daughter was parting with over $30000 of her hard-saved cash. All she wanted was good service.
We had a really great experience buying a used car from Byrne Ford in the top yard. Nelson and Paul were so helpful and welcoming (which was not our experience at all car yards). They knew we were looking at many other cars but never made us feel like we were wasting their time or that they shouldn't bother with us. They were straight up when discussing the car and finance. They didn't treat us like idiots by trying to smoke and mirror figures. In the end we got a great car from them for a price we're really happy with. They were all lovely from start to finish.
Do not make mistakes to buy from them. Make sure you read reviews of people you are buying from. You will be sorry if you ignore this warning. I would give -5 stars!
Picked up my new car today and have been so impressed with how helpful the team there were through the whole process. Anthony was knowledgeable without being pushy or doing the hard sell which in my books made all the difference! Beautiful car, great service...one happy customer right here!
Im in the market for a new car after having my mitsubishi for 14 years. Was checking out cars in kedron and think I should probably stick to a mitsubishi. Check the photos out......
Poor service not helpful at all, asked if there was any utes under $30 000 got told there wasnt any. Next minute saw about 6 pricing from $24000 - $29000
Had an awesome experience today with an instant offer! They kept their word and it was extremely quick, professional and I will be going back once I'm in the market for a new vehicle. Thanks for all your help Declan E.C
While we didn't buy a car here, we would have bought one due to the great service we received from the get go. So many car yards take you for granted but not this one. Maby next time guys.
Bought a new Ford Focus Titanium in December 2014. Have already had 2 clutches replaced and the car has only done 24,000km.
Ford Australia and this dealership in particular the Sales Manager Brett have not been helpful what so ever. They were quick to take my money, however when i had issues with the car they dont want to know about it. I have given up on them and will never buy a Ford again. I have traded in this shitbox of a car and purchasd a new Mazda.
I will keep telling people not to buy Ford and the issues i had with them and to avoid this dealer.
Despite large sign out the front of the establishment clearly displaying the words PARTS & SERVICES. Upon entry I'm informed, you are in the wrong place we don't sell spare parts.
I purchased a Fridge From Brett the sales manager at Byrne ford from the dealer ship on Gympie road. He stated the fridge was in perfect working order. On getting the fridge home and finding it did not work i then contacted Brett, who stated it was working and that it must of been damaged in transit. A repair man came out at the cost of $190.00 to find the fault. the motor had blown some time ago and melted the internal paneling which would cost more than the value of the fridge. Bretts reply was gumtree does not enforce refunds for dodgey products. Since brett sold the item from his place of work it is only fair that a review is posted here. Just think how he will screw you over on a vehicle purchase when he screws a young couple over a with a new born over a cheap fridge.
Bought a new lemon from Byrne ford, no help, bad luck they said and I've got to pay for the parts but no labour, the parts were twice as much as repco!
We scheduled a service that they said would take 1,5 hours to complete. Sure, I can take some hours off work for that, no problem. When getting to Byrne at 9, they said it would take at least until 1... (OK, we saw how 1,5 would have been really fast, so we could live with this)
We decided to do some shopping because going to work for 4 hours is just no use. After one hour we received a call, they needed to do some service work and it would take until 2. This would have meant that I would have gone home to get some work done, but now we where at a shopping center without a car and no means of getting there. Finally, at 4.30 we have our car back, 6 hours later than proposed (which would have been no problem at all if they would have been realistic about it from the start).
And then I haven't even started about the 2000 dollar repairs on a car that we bought from them only half a year ago... Now "suddenly" all parts needed replacing...
Be wary of the service department. They will incorrectly diagnose to their benefit. I took my vehicle here that had a faulty thermostat. They diagnosed as faulty thermostat and cooling fan to the tune of $1300 for a $200 job. Tried to remedy the situation with the service manager who wouldn't take responsibility for the mistake or offer any decent customer service for the incurred costs/inconvenience.
STAY AWAY! Problems from day 1 and all they did was snake their way out and give me a thorough run-around until the warranty period was over. Can't return phone calls + have complete disrespect for the customer, who SHOULD be their priority. Would rate negative stars, if possible. Have consequently had FAR more help from Downtown Toyota in Morningside who have gotten things in order with my dodgy car and been extremely considerate AS A DEALER SHOULD BE.
Went in weeks ago to enquire about a Mustang and received near to bo assistance, was promised a call back regarding the same but god knows when that will happen! Too bad, that businesses cry about not getting revenue in this hard times and when they do, they don t care..!!
Anthony was very helpful showing us through some cars. He was patient dealing with our indecisiveness and gave valid advice. Once we purchased the Kia he made the process easy for us and made sure there was no bit of information that we were not aware of. Good attention to detail and customer service. Thanks Anthony we love our car.
Had my 40K service in early September. Asked especially to check the brakes. Was told there was at least another 20k left on them.
Imagine my surprise that after 11 weeks, and may be 1500ks I now need new rear breaks and discs. If the pads had of been replaced at the service - I would not now have the extra expense of new Discs
When I called the service dept - did not even get an apology.........
Won't do your log book even when you ask. it takes 5 times going in to the sevice department to do so and nothing is covered under warranty don't waste money and they copy and paste the recommendation can't give a proper quote on a job they will be happy to take your money to rip you off
I very much have to eat my words after my dealings with Byrne Ford and instant offer process through carsales.com.au.
I had completed an instant offer process previously with another car. The first time I tried with a different organisation it wasn t a very good process when they inspected the car. With another organisation using RedBook to inspect the car it was seamless. So this time I requested a RedBook inspector to complete the inspection. It wasn t possible which made be very sceptical.
However I have to very much eat humble pie and say that the process was very much seamless. My wife took the car to be inspected and the next day the transaction was complete true to their word. Thanks very much.
My partner and I went to the used car section of this dealership a month ago now in the hunt for a Ford Focus Titanium. We were immediately greeted by Peter who handled all our questions and helped us with a deposit on the car while we organised finance. The manager, and Peter were extremely incredible in all aspects of the process. From negotiations in price to the heck of a time we had trying to organise. We weren t the easiest of clients as had changed throughout the process for finance but both Peter and the manager were so forthcoming and patient throughout it. I can t thank you guys enough for the experience we had. We are so grateful for everything you did for us and I am so in love with my new car. Would recommend this dealership and Peter any day!
Bought a used outlander 5 years ago and that was some stress-free experience with a quality vehicle (thank you Josh). Fast forward to today bought another demo ford escape, it's amazing how these guys manage to keep their fussfree business style over the years. Peter was great to deal with and even managed to get us drive away with the new car on the same day.
I have nothing bad to say about these guys and girls. The sales people were amazing and helped me with so much. Gave me an amazing deal on a Wildtrak. No bulls*it between either parties. I was upfront about what I wanted and they helped every step of the way.
A lot of the poor reviews are from people who would 1 star the pope if he was 5 mins late.
If you're looking for a car hit up Anthony, he will look after you.
Contacted Bryce Ford Kedron regarding my recalled Takata airbag & a private quote for repairs an major service, spoke with the manager who was a legend and said they d pick the car up from my house in two days etc so I took the day off so I could meet them with my keys. Called up on the day at around 10am just to check when they d be coming around, spoke with Bec who said they d be leaving the place at 12pm - thanked her for the info and waited. It s now 3:40PM and no ones arrived, I called the dealership and spoke with Bec and explained that no none had attended yet and she placed me on hold. Came back 1 minute later and tells me no one could make it out today, asked why nobody had called me and she asked why I couldn t just bring the car in? - I thought I had already arranged for someone to come collect it? Confused and dazzled, just ended up cancelling it after she said someone would come around tomorrow and collect but couldn t guarantee
Thanks for the offer but why arranged to pick my car up for me to have to call in the afternoon to he told not happening - if I just got a call that would had been great - I could had gone to work
Avoid Byrne Ford - they don't care about their customers at all! Spent a bundle on a car and there was a problem- central locking was not operating properly. Phoned the salesman about it the first week and he did what I might expect- He lied. After escalating complaint all the way to the Big boss nothing happened. Had to involve Office of Fair Trading to get it rectified. Took over 2 months! Take your hard earned dollars elsewhere.
I bought a used Ford Mondeo 2012 with the dual clutch transmission. Absolutely horrible. Unfortunately I did not test drive before I bought it. Shortly after, I tried to exchange for another used car at the same dealer. Yes, but I would lose $7000+ on my now so called "trade in". Stay away from this dealership and all DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSIONS.
This business does not maintain the vehicles in their lot. I bought a vehicle off them that had not been serviced in over 18 months even though it had a 12 month minimum service period. Yet they expect you to maintain it to keep a warranty? Do not buy a car off this business as they do not maintain their vehicles.
Walked around the New Cars yard was interest purchasing top range model but none of the sales people bothered to come out help me. Used car sale guy saw me walking out and apologized about nobody helping me tried to call them on the phone but couldn't get a hold of anyone.
I am surprised to hear of any bad reviews from Byrne Ford. Admittedly, buying your first or second car can seem daunting, but I cannot recommend Anthony from Byrne enough. Anthony helped me personally from the time I walked on to the Lot, to the time I drove away; he is honest, friendly and goes above and beyond for EVERY customer that he meets. Can't recommend Byrne, and Anthony, enough.
Don't hold your breath waiting for a call back from the finance guys in half an hour, it takes 24. And by the time they call you, the car you were interested in is gone.
Brought a car from them and was told that the car had not been in an accident. 6 months later the rear panel paint had faded and was told that it had been in accident. Cost me $1100 to repair. I found them rude and unprofessional. It was first time buying a car and feel like they took advantage of me.
Notice my previous review has been removed. Ill repeat it for you. Wouldn't buy a car from this mob again, not ever. Lied about the service history of the car, lied about tinting it and providing the paint protection that we paid extra for and when I rang to complain I was told "well you'd be an idiot" when I said I believed them when they said it was done. The manager was meant to call me back but after several attempts to get in contact with him when he failed to call it was clear he was never going to take my calls.
Should have read the review before I dealt with them. Got my ford wildtrak 3 months back, only problems and nothing good. Spent 45k cash and was laughed by the used car manager that I got no money left to buy their useless extended warranty. What a joke to deal with.
As I am constantly working , it was my bad luck to trust the salesperson without looking at the car. The car was obviously been hail damaged and now the Powertrain indicator light was on. Made a complaint two days ago and was promised the so called manager would ring but NO.
Notice a few problems with the car within a few days but was asked to drive it back. Wasted my time for at least two times and they just lied there was nothing wrong with the car.
Trust me , do not buy from them. They are big bully and one day I hope their business will be closed as you can see how many bad reviews are there. Stay away people and don t be like me. Bloody useless and a shame to ford
Very poor after sales service, purchased a second hand car from them with issues from day one. Take your hard earned money elsewhere. The only thing equally disappointing as buying a car from them is i cant rate any lower than 1 star.
I travelled from Victoria to purchase a used 2016 Black edition SV6 due to reasonable price compared to private sellers and other car yards. When I arrived Scott the salesman and Nelson the Used Car manager could not have been more helpful. The car was as described and their attitudes were that they could not do enough to help us. I pointed out the poor reviews on this site but they certainly went out their way to ensue everything went smoothly even things outside of their control e.g. window tinting. Thanks Scott for your professional and caring attitude and Nelson for ensuring nothing we asked was to much to achieve and making our purchase easy. Now back in Victoria and extremely happy with the car and our purchase.
