The dementia care unit provided poor care. No activities in one unit. The activities person sat at a table and read magazines. The Administrator (who is not there anymore) was a liar and was very rude to everyone, staff and residents families. She was made aware of families concerns about their loved ones, but never did anything about it. The staff falsified records. Every time I asked a question, no matter how simple, the only answer I got was, I don t know. Nobody ever offered to find out. An aide admitted to a family member that she shoved the resident, but denied it when asked by the Administrator, so it was swept under the rug. No report or investigation. I do NOT recommend Dunlop House for dementia care!!
Worst place ever, I am a former employee. when I first got there it was awesome but then everything went down hill. This place is full of and I repeat full of OSHA violations! & when inspection time rolls around they tell us close the doors to the clients rooms so the person who is inspecting doesn't go in there and sees it's a mess. The other employees there have the worst attitudes towards the clients and to top it off they only have two CNAS on the floor to handle over 100 clients and if bells are not answered in under ten minutes no matter if you are with another client you get written up. Dunlop House is unprofessional and very understaffed. I DON'T recommend anyone to apply.
Honestly, it s the worst place ever. As a former employee the place is so unprofessional and understaffed. There were several days when I would come to work and would be the ONLY aide on the floor caring for over 100 residents with absolutely no help from the nurses or med techs. If call bells aren t answered in 10 mins we get written up but nobody knows the hard work that the aides do.They don t care about any of the employees at all & they are very disrespectful. I wish that things at dunlop was better but they have lost several great employees because of the unprofessionalism and the lack of staff.
It was a sincere pleasure of visiting this facility yesterday. Joanne the marketing assistant was amazing and was able to answer all of my questions with kindness and professionalism. The facility was very clean and residents were being engaged And seemed very happy. Within an hour of our tour we had already received a follow-up email thanking us for our visit and offering future services.
The Dunlop House is very understaffed. I always come to visit a family friend and it s never enough staff! Someone is always working by their selves from one shift to another with multiple residents wandering around in and out other residents rooms. You can never find the CNA and sometimes when you do find them they are on their phones. It s very unacceptable and sad that they never have a full staff and I have to worry if my family member and/or other residents are being fully taken care of!!
I been working at Dunlop House for 8years and I enjoying working at Dunlop House never had any problems I always say that Dunlop House is my second family away from home I just love to care for our residents love to put a smile on there faces .
