The steak is soft and juicy!
It tastes better than a high-end chain store that offers dry-aged beef. You can eat delicious meat for less than half the price of Fl and Mo. After a meal, we recommend taking a walk along the riverside!

Good food very tasty. Needs to be served hot. Waiter didn't ask how is your meal etc. I explained that it could be served hot. Restaurant is use to serving tourists so the comment wasn't taken to heart. Repeat business perhaps not a concern.

Great location on the riverwalk. Was a busy Friday night, I had a 45 minute wait so walked around and came back. Maitre d was attentive and got me seated when I returned. Tried the strawberry caipirinha's which were OK but I really enjoyed my seafood platter. Very tasty and the scallops were done perfectly ! Nice atmosphere outside, good for people watching.

My wife and I returned last week to Bourdo's on the River Walk and had a delightful experience. The service was friendly, professional and worthing of a vacation experience. Thank you Jessica, we can't wait to visit again on our next trip to San Antonio.

Jessica walked us through the menu, drink selections and we were grateful to take her suggestions. I got the chicken fried ribeye and soon discovered it must be their signature dish. (Knives not required). My wife order the daily steak special and declared it was the best steak she has ever had in her life. I tried it as well, and true, it was the best. The special also included a salad, all for $16.50.

And the best part, Bourdo's is extremely affordable and worth every penny, especially for lunch.

Yes, Bourdo's is the best restaurant on the River Walk.

My husband and I went here on a Thursday night Jan 3rd, 2019. We had a reservation and were quickly seated. We wanted a more intimate location and the hostess seated us towards the back of the restaurant which was quieter and more romantic for us. Our waiter (Cameron) was amazing. He greeted us and showed us a few drinks and appetizers we might like. To start with we had the jumbo shrimp cocktail and a cesar salad. Both were delicious. For our main entrees, we had the flank steak and grilled prime rib. Both were cooked just like we wanted and were amazing. Cameron checked us on just the right amount time and was very kind. We skipped dessert because we were full. I would highly recommend Boudro's!

Have eaten here twice now, initially at the recommendation of an industry colleague that lived in San Antonio a few years ago and knew I'd be traveling there soon. Fantastic restaurant. I prefer lunch over dinner just because I think the menu selections are more robust and more inventive. The lobster empanadas are a must try! Also, even if you don't typically go for mixed drinks (like me- a beer and margarita gal for the most part) - try the strawberry caipirinha. This is a strawberry Brazilian mojito - strong but refreshing and delicious - so much so that I'll be aiming to recreate these at home. The tableside guac is delish as well. Dinner was good, but not as impressive as lunch. Again, for me that is primarily the menu options but also the noise level. I'm not big on going hoarse trying to shout at the folks at my table for normal dinner conversation. Best meal I've had on the riverwalk hands down.

The food was excellent especially the guacamole. Our waiter Joey was so attentive and kind. I m so happy they re reopening and I love to support local business instead of big chains! Thanks guys for a lovely meal.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We were seated quickly and or server was very attentive and helpful in answering our questions about the menu despite the fact it was crazy busy. We sat outside and even with the tables in close proximity the atmosphere is very romantic.
Their guacamole is made table side and is incredible. The prickly pear margarita is one of the best margaritas I have ever had... my husband had their steak and lobster and couldn't stop raving about the flavor of the lobster. I had the duck 3 ways and all of it was so good!
If you are torn between restaurant choice STOP RIGHT NOW and go here!

Boudro's really impressed me, especially for being a restaurant located directly on the river walk. There are a lot of tourist trap places here, and a lot of mediocre food. Suffice to say, Boudro's stands out in a great way. My only real gripe with the restaurant was the upkeep on the restroom. There are A LOT of staff ( I visited at around 10:45 PM on a Saturday night) and yet there were paper towels all over the floor and the restroom in itself was just dirty. When you have a nice restaurant such as this every part of it is a direct reflection of what it represents. My server was excellent; extremely polite and prompt in getting coffee refills, asking me if I needed anything, etc. The coffee was very good, which it should be at this kind of restaurant. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which were full of flavor. The sauce had roasted peppers in it, as well as applewood smoked bacon and chorizo. The grits were perfectly cooked, as were the shrimp. Nothing was over-seasoned either, which I have noticed at multiple restaurants in the past. It was a great blending of flavors, I'll be sure to come back! Just clean the bathrooms next time please

The food is always excellent here; it tastes fresh and is full of flavor. There is a nice view here if you can score a table along the river walk. The service was very good as well. The prices are reasonable for what you are getting. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, too. This is a very good date night option.

First time I've ever liked guacamole and they make it fresh at your table. I had their filet with garlic mashed potatoes, it was incredible. Whatever sauce they used was delicious. We also had the pork tenderloin and their blackened rib, all of ot was amazing. I could eat there forever. It was pretty crowded, even on a Wednesday. We got bumped around a few times and had to move our table twice because we were elbow to elbow with our neighbors. But it was still great, everyone was nice and the food was fantastic.

I went there on February 10th, had no reservation, but was seated pretty quickly. The guacamole was ok, not as savoury as I thought It was going to be. I also got a sirloin with vegetables with a corn side, the beef was very good however the vegetables not so much. Not sure if I would recommend it for the good but definitely good location and nice atmosphere.

Despite its touristic clientele, the staff manages to maintain a higher quality performance than one would expect on the River Walk. Been there many times. Would not venture to this hotspot without a reservation and even with that you have to wait. Worth the wait though.

Had the Black Angus Loin End Cut Ribeye, worse tasting steak I've every had for the price. It was a thin cut steak, asked for med. rare and it came well done. Served with 4 very small rosemary potatoes comparable to a 1/4 of a Russet potato, and barely a hand full of mix vegetables. Can get a better Ribeye and sides at Longhorn Steakhouse .

Extremely disappointed with this place, I can't comment on the food because I never even got to try it. I called and made a reservation, arrived ten minutes before said reservation only to be told it was going to be around 20 minutes because it was sprinkling out and people wanted to sit inside, I was fine with this, until 30 minutes later when I was still waiting outside without anybody telling me what was going on with my table or talking to me at all, I literally had to go up to the hostess and ask and had to remind them that I had a reservation for them to tell me again it would be 20 minutes or so, after I already waited 30 minutes.

On top of this I will say the system this restaurant works is out of date and very hectic, I watched as every waitress and hostess would ask one man what was going on with tables and where to sit people franticly, like they had no idea where was open and what was going on. Also everything was written on paper, and not in an organized way at all, my date and I had to help find where my reservation was written down in their paper.

Eventually we got tired of waiting and went to saltgrass, we were seated as soon as we walked in and eating in no time. Basically if you're wanting to go here don't even try around dinner time

The tableside guacomole experience was so much fun , Our Wait staff were the best ! I've tried many different guac styles , but Theirs stands out !!! Fire roasted tomatoes were superb , adding compliment to the already outstanding quality and experience!!!

The seafood platter was great. Loads of different seafood. Why four stars? It's not as good value as some other places and not all of the seafood on the platter was cooked to ideal.
Still, it's a great place to take people on the river walk and it's very good.

Be warned: River level is somehow much warmer than street level and there is no breeze. Tempting as it was to sit outside (90 degree weather), wish we had sat inside instead.
Food is top-notch although it seems like they haven't changed their menu in 8 months or so.

Happy to go back any time.

Wonderful service.

Wonderful service.
The crab and shrimp enchiladas are to die for. Of course, you can't come here and NOT have the prickle pear margarita. Absolutely heavenly.

River walk is the place to hang out when you're in San Antonio, TX.

We brought 2 of our dogs on a road trip, and this restaurant have seating by the river walk that allows dogs. But they only have 4-5 tables that was alongside with the riverwalk and they usually is a high demand seating when everyone wants to be sitting by the river. So, if you're bringing dog, please be prepare to wait in line and wait for the seating.

They were thoughtful and put blankets in every outdoor seating. It was pretty chilly and windy during our time there. And those blankets keeps me warm.

Must try their avocado guacamole apptizer, they make it in front of you. They have server pushing a cart and make it fresh in front of you. It's impressive. And must ORDER their prickly pear margarita. They taste good, even on a cold weather, that drink is so presentable and taste good.

Do not drink their soup, I forgot what soup we ordered, some beef stew with different parts of the beef and rice, they were very very very salty. Not delicious at all. We ordered the most expensive steak they have in the menu, they were overcooked. We ordered medium, but they were pretty much done and meat was tough.

I only give their prickly pear margarita and their appetizer a 4.5 stars, with their ambience. But their other food weren't that good.

Great food with a view. Sometimes food along the riverwalk is more about the view then the quality of food but here I definitely enjoyed the offerings. From Guacamole made along side the table, to Texas Tapas (a perfectly portioned meat plate), to a shrimp sandwich you'll enjoy. Split checks for out of town business guests with ease.

Boudros was great! It was my first time there and I took advice from our server and got this (I don't remember what it was called) and it was amazing! I didn't get a picture of dessert but they we're all delicious. We got 1 of each for the table lol. Highly recommend but if you're planning on going on a weekend I do suggest you make a reservation.

A local treasure! The appetizer shrimp and table side guacamole were spot on. Their signature steak is a blackened prime rib, which was unique and delicious. There are many choices on the Riverwalk, but Boudro's consistently delivers and stands out!
