I went there and I have a service dog. The male waiter there isolated me and my grandparents and told us that we had to "stay out side". I found this very disrespectful and got up and left. So, if you have a service dog I would not suggest this place.

The wait can be long--even with reservation. But it's worth the wait. The wait staff is the best and good with special requests. Shrimp and grits are the best thing here. Quail is also excellent. Come on down and my daughter says "you'll have a blast!"

Wonderful service and terrific food. Our waiter caught some hidden dairy in my order which I always appreciate (since I really prefer not to get sick). The guacamole for two was fun to watch being made and tasty to boot!

The table side guacamole is WHY I go here. The menu has a more exotic and gourmet fare than typical restaurants on the Riverwalk and it is a cozy little spot. Great for date nights. A few things are a little pricy.

This is closed. I couldn t tell from the talking to the restaurant next door if it s temporary or permanent, but the building looks torn up inside. Unfortunately, the website for Boudro s gives no hint that it s not open.

Absolutely amazing dinner. Sat outside and it was chilly but they had warm comfy ponchos and toasty heaters. Excellent service. My entree was superb. I had the Duck trio and it was delicious. My husband unfortunately didn't like his steak. He said it was tough. My sister- in-law loved her fish and the appetizers were awesome. We had the oysters and scallops. Highly recommend for a special experience. Be prepared to spend some money but well worth it.

Good selection of wine.
Following the proper protocol when serving wines to your restaurant's guests is central to enhancing their overall dining experience and can also help your establishment sell more wine. Your staff will also seem more professional, which can help you gain return customers and improve your reputation as a business who knows their wines.
When pouring wine, servers should wrap the bottle in a clean linen napkin to protect it from the warmth of their hands. This isn't essential for serving red wines that aren't chilled, but your guests will probably appreciate the extra effort you're putting forth to ensure the perfect serving conditions for their wine.

My husband and I had the best time at this restaurant. It was our first time to the Riverwalk and every employee made us feel special and asked what they could do for us. We did the dinner cruise and it was incredible. Great food, amazing service. Jessica was our waitress and did a great job. We will be back.

Love the food and drink here. The staff is very nice. Even when I asked for my drinks to be prepared in a certain way they were accommodating. Going to the Riverwalk, be sure to stop here.

Had dinner here on Christmas Day without reservation. Host told us we have to wait for an hour. So 3 of us walk around the river to kill time. 30 minutes in the walk, we walk back to the restaurant and they happen to have table open for 3 of us on the outside which is great. We ordered the fried oyster for appetizer that is really good. I ordered the flank steak which cook to order, and I love it. My mum ordered the duck three ways, they were out of egg roll that come with the meal, so we have it substituted with French fries, my mum told me the duck was a little burn to her, and my sis ordered the fish with herb, comes out a little fishy. Overall we enjoy our dinner because we got great customer service even though they were really busy on the Christmas night.

Every time I've gone to Boudro's I always leave happy! From their Shrimp and Grits to their salmon....love it all. The atmosphere is loud but fun.

It's always crazy-busy, make reservations. Beautiful on the river walk, not to be missed!!!

Busy Thursday night, the hostess took our details and sent us to the bar/restaurant next door Rio Rio (also an excellent option for drinks) and to come back in a half hour. Came back in 25 minutes and we were in and they crushed. All bases were covered and the experience exceeded expectations. Well done team Boudro!

We stopped by while walking the Riverwalk - we didn t have reservations, but we re seated immediately because it was early. If you re eating here during dinner rush, reservations are highly suggested. We were seated on the patio under the heaters with blankets...very cozy in the cool March evening. We had two house margaritas, the guacamole for two and the Texas Tapas , a mixed plate of sausage, chicken, veggies and corn cake. The guacamole was freshly made at the table and was everything I'd hoped it would be! The tapas were good, but not fantastic. Overall a good experience.

Good food and location. Waited ~1hr for a table on a weeknight but they gave me a time to come back, so we were able to walk around and come back about the time our table was ready. Table service was a little stuffy but the bartender was great. The food was good but this should likely be marked as $$$ instead of $$ as most entrees are mid to high $20s.

Upon entering the decor is very nice and they have indoor or outside option .I wanted to try one of their frozen prickly pear margaritas and it was awesome . Very hard decision for dinner as everything in menu looked great but went with the wood grilled grouper and garlic mashed potatoes and seasoned veggies . Everyone at our table agreed that it was phenomenal ! The best drink and dinner that I've had in a while . We returned the very next day for lunch ... Enough said .

Definitely set a reservation! That being said, OMG. We came here for mine and my husbands 5 year Anniversary dinner, and we were not disappointed. We actually dined on their river barge on the rio. It was pricy, but fair for the atmosphere, service, and the quality of food. We had a blast- and it was so romantic!! So glad we chose to eat here our first night in San Antonio.

A table near the river, a heater over the table, a serape draped over the legs, a prickly pear margarita, prime rib/crusted fish, and the evening holiday lighting of the river. Hard to find anything better on the riverwalk.

Guacamole was yummy, but a very small portion for $11. Quail was also good, but not as amazing as I was told. The sides - veggies, potatoes, etc sere very bland and not cooked well... overall an above average meal, but not for prices charged.
The ambiance was nice on the river... VERY crowded and lots of people walking by. Not a quiet night out spot!
I probably won't be going back, but it was an alright dinner.

Food and service was excellent. Our waiter was Raul and he did a great job suggesting items on the menu. Very friendly, easy to communicate with, and funny. I had the shrimp and grits, my wife had blackened prime steak and both were phenomenal. Highly recommended!

The guacamole was excellent. The food was great. The staff was fun and attentive. Really enjoyed dining outside on the riverwalk. Would recommend. We didn't have the steaks, but the shrimp and crab enchiladas were very good. We went on 7/3/12.

My favorite place on the Riverwalk! Maybe even the whole city... Perfect place for a date night or just some great food. Be ready to pay a little more per plate, but also be prepared to experience some amazing tastes and flavors. I've been here just a handful of times and this place never disappoints.
The fish is always flakey and beautiful. The steak has always been above par and the atmosphere + people watching just makes this place so unique and wonderful. I'd recommend this place to anyone visiting San Antonio or living here looking for a nice dining experience that you can take slow and not feel rushed.
Tip: make a reservation at least day in advance to get seating inside or be prepared to sit outside in the Texas humidity. Still worth it!

I must say that Boudro's is my personal favorite on the Riverwalk. The food is delicious and fresh. The atmosphere is intimate, even on the patio seating. Great people watching, while waiting for your meal. Try the tableside fresh served guacamole. Worth a repeat visit.

Get the guacamole, that was the best part of the restaurant, it was recommended and an excellent recommendation at that. They make it in front of you and it was delicious and fun to watch. If I were to go back I'd just order guac.

Otherwise, we wanted to sit outside but the shade coverage is poor, so inside we went. Then, despite us being one of maybe three groups seated, no one came to us for even a drink order for at least 10 minutes. The food (other than the guacamole) was okay, but not worth the price, but then again, high prices need to be expected along the river walk so perhaps that makes up for it.
Ambiance was interesting, feels almost fancy on the inside but with "antique" styled mirrors on the walls, definitely an interesting vibe.

Stopped in for lunch by "accident" ....and came back on purpose for dinner and brought friends! Best Guacamole I have EVER had and am so excited they shard the recipe online. The center cut tenderloin was fantastic!

I really didn't enjoy my meal. The food was expensive by normal standards. (average for the Riverwalk). The service was just OK. My waiter confused me with someone else at my table multiple times, which would usually not be a big deal except that I have (and told him) severe food allergies.

Filet and lobster were delicious and fresh, same with all the grilled vegetables. Cocktail shrimp was presented okay but still partially frozen. Nice location on the riverwalk slightly too cold outside but perfect under heater.
