My experience came from a phone call. From someone who has been in the customer service industry for 20+ years, you should train your employees how to speak to people, and to not act like they are better than anyone else. Boujie

For the great reviews, I really expected more. Imagine someone who can't taste bitter made dishes. They might make their food really bitter because they couldn't tell. Well, this theoretical bitter blind person might just be the chef here. When I gave my feedback to the waitress that the food I had wasn't very good, she shrugged her shoulders and said, "Yeah, it's different."

Got a chance to try this place out during restaurant week and I was truly impressed by how great everything was! From the Wedge salad to the salted caramel brownie, every part of the course went together. Had a great waiter Carlos who took great care of us and really made the dinning experience worth going again!

Amazing meal! We went there our first night in San Antonio for dinner... and they set the bar high! Fabulous food and even better service. Their guacamole is make table side. It s fresh and delicious! Would definitely recommend.

Came here for the guacamole, prepared right at your table. Fresh, tasty, worth the trip alone. They put up their recipe on their website, and we've been making it ever since. Thanks Boudro's!

We were visiting from Fort Worth Texas and love Tex Mex which we expected it to be in San Antonio. I ordered something different. The sauted spinach mushroom and onion in a flour tortilla with cilantro cream sauce! No surprises and no taste. I regret not ordering at least a simple taco! I would have thought a surprising seasoning to take it to Tex Mex beyond much better what it tasted like. It was nothing mexican! It needs to be strapped from the menu. What fool convinced the owner/manager to put this on the menu?? The riverwalk restaurants where so much better even 10 years ago. Well stick to our long time favorite, la Margaritas!

On a warm and relaxing afternoon along the riverwalk, Boudro s makes an excellent margarita and table-side prepared guacamole. A bit hard to find as the sign is hidden, but just south of Rio Rio. Highly recommended.

Located on the River Walk. The food is good. It is always a nice treat to watch them make the guacamole table side. The Prickly Pear margarita is fantastic too. Expensive due to being in tourist zone but the food is pretty good. They usually have daily specials. They have some limited outdoor seating with heat lamps and ponchos to keep you warm. Nice ambiance and the staff is always friendly.

Went for lunch yesterday and it was delicious. The guacamole was pretty good and I don't even like guac. I got the blue crab tostada and it was delicious. The greens on the side were incredibly boring, but the tostada was great. There was a lot of crab in there, and the stuff mixed in didn't overpower the flavor of the crab. Really good stuff.

Went to this restaurant last year and food and service was fabulous so decided to go back and celebrate our wedding anniversary things could not have been different we were seated just round the corner of restaurant on a very small table the food was only just warm mashed potatoes were cold they were very busy and seemed more interested in getting as many people through the restaurant we were so disappointed and certainly will not be going back when there are much nicer restaurants close by

One of my personal favourite restaurants on the Riverwalk!
When sitting on the patio, there are enough fans with water spray keeping you cool in summer, and during winter they got ponchos and patio heaters. It s fun watching people whilst sipping from a glass of mojito or caipirinha. Food is fresh and tasty: less American style, more Mexican style though not real Mexican.

With all the "Top 10" lists they're on, we thought we should check this place out. I should've known by their unprofessional website that they were not the quality I'd expect for the prices they charge. Biggest complaint is that they tried to squeeze our group of 4 around a tiny table in an odd location, where my thin sister could not even fit between the table and the wall. I think it's normally a two-top pressed against a wall. When we tried to move the table so she could fit, the staff reprimanded us and pulled the table back to the wall. We had made a reservation weeks ahead of time, and show up to get shoved in a corner. We waited about 15 minutes to be moved to another table. At least room for us to sit around the table, but not space enough on the surface for our drinks and all the food we ordered. We had to move everything around on our table just to fit the plates. If the meal cost about 1/3 less, I think it'd be worth it. Service was adequate, food was fine, but you're paying for prime Riverwalk location and frankly, there are much better restaurants in the area for a fantastic meal. Will not go back, will not recommend.

We came for dessert late at night. We ended up with fabulous scallops, guacamole prepared right at our table, creme brulee and lime chess pie. Everything was wonderful, including the service!

Really nice restaurant with excellent ambiance. I ordered the guac for 2 and it was quite tasty. My fellow diners ordered a variety of duck, salad, chicken, etc. and found them all equally delightful. The only reason for the low star rating was our waiter. He was incredibly rude and not attentive. I was only 1/2 way done w my food when he took it away, not having asked if I was finished, wanting to box it up, etc. before we could say anything he had already out another dirty plate on top of my food so it was a lost cause. ):

We had a reservation and went an hour early to try and assure an outdoor riverside table. It worked! The Maitre D spoke four languages and everyone was super friendly. Waitress Erikka was very attentive and both the filet and prime rib were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The sauces were heavenly and we got 4-star treatment at 4-star prices ($150 for 2 included tip, alcohlic drinks, and dessert). And worth every penny.

The atmosphere and location is great. We came here because it was crowded and the reviews were good. I read a 2 star review this morning from two weeks that reminded me of our experience. We ordered the guacamole for two and the waiter did not want to be bothered. He was not happy and did not want to be there. The food was not very good either. Wife ordered grilled fish and it came out with brown gravy on it. My blackened fish was way over cooked. When we spend that kind of money on a meal the food and experience is expected to be at least very good. Hope this waiter can get his attitude adjusted. Won't be back .

We stumbled upon this amazing place and enjoyed the guacamole for 2 served by our wonderful Jessica. She helped us find a wine that suited our pleasures and we enjoyed a light lunch. This place is not a tourist trap. It s a big end, upscale menu but don t worry about being dressed up or finding something perfect for a moderate budget with exquisite service. My point is that it s very reasonable, beyond a tourist trap, and a well orchestrated experience!

We made reservations a month in advance, and I'm glad we did. People were being told the wait was up to 1.5 hours depending on party size. We sat outside beaide the river walk, and it was a perfect evening. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. The drinks are priced fair for it being downtown and the amount of alcohol the out in the drink.

Had a great lunch on the Dog friendly patio. Richard, the owner came by right after we were seated to say hello. He recommended the Duck Gumbo. We had the Duck Confit Spring Rolls, Duck Gumbo, Smoked Shrimp and Applewood Bacon Club, and the House Burger. Our food was great. The gumbo is the best I have had, besides Grandpa's. It was rich with a depth of flavor that other Gumbos lack. The burger was spot on with shoe string fries that were perfectly cooked. The Spring Rolls were slightly sweet with bright flavors. Our server, Patrick, was very attentive and even brought out dog water as part of the table service. We found out Patrick likes dogs. The prices are very reasonable. Great food, great prices. Richard and Patrick made our lunch a real pleasure. A definite recommend and a definite return trip when we are back in San Antonio.

I tried to make a reservation for my daughter s birthday but the guy answering the phone was rude and pompous. Apparently Boudro s has gotten a bit full of itself. The food is good but not that good. Being a bit nicer to repeat customers would serve them well. I visit San Antonio a lot and I won t be eating at Boudro s again.

Best food, best location, best waiter (Roger) We tried the tuna tartare tostada's, crab tostada and tableside guacamole with prickly pear margaritas, a Texas tea and a strawberry caipirinha. All fabulous. Highly recommend.

Everything was great! Ribeye and prime rib both cooked to perfection. Guac was great as well. Odds of getting waterfront seating go up after 8p. Definitely call and make a reservation or you'll likely be frustrated with the wait time.

I took my wife here for our 2-year anniversary. The staff guaranteed that we had riverside dining and prompt service. The steak and lobster were tender and juicy, no complaints. I would have no problem dining here again.

What a great place for a dinner date! Not a ton of seating but the service was impeccable and the food was delicious! It's right along the river and has such a great atmosphere. Try the guacamole! They make it right in front of you and it's fantastic!

I went there late in the afternoon, and was given an inside seat. I asked for a table on the riverside. I was told that they do not give those to single women. I would have left, if I had not already ordered. The food was not great, too . I guess Zagat needs to re- rate this place.
