This is clearly the best restaurant on the river in san Antonio!! Phenomenal service every time. Prime rib and cabernet was off the chain. Sea cakes are crazy good. This is an amazing place to eat!!! The view is awesome eating outside.

Great food, wonderful service and a wonderful ambiance. If I get to go back and enjoy more time there I will edit the review to include more. Was at a work conference and went for lunch so we didn't get a ton of time there or to enjoy some of their very intriguing fare. A little bit on the pricier side for somethings but you can also find more affordable items on the menu. The portobello tostada was wonderful and my coworker had the burger and loved it. Looking forward to coming back with my husband and trying more soon.

Nothing better than a real place with trained staff to lead you through an actual culinary experience. Skip the order takers and come here. Ask for pairings, don't worry you are ordering a managerie of things. Prices are very fair for the delivery. A hidden gem on the river walk. Get the escargot at Zinc, if you don't like it there, you don't like escargot. Ask for Sara either place.

Food was good experience was so so. Tables and seating are cramped with limited room for both servers and customers to move about. Birds and fruit flies were in the air and on the patio. Ordered a type of red fish and my colleague a flank steak. Fish was delightful. Tried the flank steak and it was a bit bland pertaining to the overall seasoning and flavor profile. Would consider going back but only sitting inside.

At first sight Boudros seemed like a nice and happening little place. The first guy that greeted us was nice enough. Told us it'd be a 30 min wait for an outside table, didn't mention there's a different list for riverside seating. When we came back, there was a different guy working as host who not only had NO people skills he seemed to go an extra distance to be a complete jackass. We watched a couple show up and get seated Outside in front of us and nearly had a group of five sat at the only remaining outside table except we stepped up and pointed out that we were next in line. The prickly pear margarita sounds like a great novel idea but it's terrible, forgo the novelty and have a real one. While the guac was great, the guy who made it through juice all over us in the process and was oblivious to his lack of aim with the ingredients. He also tossed things in with no care for our preference; I've watched guac made at other tables, they ask how much of each thing you'd like to have. Lastly, he barely had the avocado chopped up and ran off. Our table was checked very infrequently thereafter

Dining on the San Antonio River. The food here is delicious but pricey but worth it. Great ambiance, good location for people watching. The tableside Guacamole is a very good start
On the lunch menu is a Ribeye sandwich with fiery fries, yum.
Their Hurricane drink is better than Pat O'Brien's.

Great spot for lunch or dinner. We had an amazing waiter who made the evening even more delightful. The drinks and wine are really well done. They make fresh guacamole at the table. The sauce in the shrimp and grits is absolutely worth More

Well first we waited 5 minutes to be seated and I had a reservation, it was crowded and packed inside. We couldn't hear each other talk either. We definitely didn't get our money's worth, the food was ok but for the price it was very disappointing. To top it off the waiter was literally forcing me to give him the best tip possible when he told me "Here you give me the 25% tip". Which made me laugh so I just signed and gave him nothing. We will definitely not be going back.

As we were walking on the Riverwalk on a weekend evening we decided to stop in for an early dinner at Boudro's. We were quickly seated at a small table on the patio where we were promptly greeted by our server. For our appetizer we had the Faux Gras, chicken liver pate, which we normally enjoy. However, this pate had such a strong flavor due to improper preparation that it was nearly inedible. After we were finished with our disappointing appetizer, it began to rain. As other tables were promptly moved to drier locations, our server was nowhere to be found. She then reappeared and stated that they were "looking into moving us to another location." After ten minutes, the rain stopped, and we had still not been moved to another location.
The Grilled Prime Rib, which I ordered medium, came out with most of the steak well-done. If we had not been waiting for nearly 40 minutes, and had we not spent part of that time being rained on, I wouldn't have hesitated to send it back. Overall, I found the quality of both the service and food to be severely lacking.

Food was ok generally but the made-at-the-table guacamole was outstanding as always. if it's cold you would be smart to request indoor seating when you make your reservations. It's no fun to sit out in the freezing cold by the river.

We really enjoyed Boudros on the Riverwalk. I don't know if they're a chain or not, but when you're surrounded by tourist chains that dominate the Riverwalk (Rainforest, Dick's, Chili's, Hooters, etc), its a nice respite. The guac was some of the best we've ever had. The ponchos ate a nice touch for colder evenings...kids and adults really appreciated that on a 50 degree day.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! From the service to the food. My companion and I ordered tableside guacamole that was prepared tableside and was absolutely delicious! Our waiter, Roger, was hilarious, knowledgeable, and infectiously delightful! I ordered the Blackened Gulf Fish that was accommodated to be dairy free (per my request) and it was superb! My friend ordered the Gulf Shrimp and he devoured every piece. The Peach Margarita was delicious with a chile rim and I ordered a medium-bodied Cab that made my taste buds go berserk. All in all we had an amazing afternoon!

Perfect belated Birthday celebration. Thankfully we had reservations but were still surprised they were able to seat us so promptly. Food perfectly prepared, wine great and the waiter went out of his way to make it a very special evening. My favorite restaurant on the Riverwalk certainly did not disappoint even on a busy holiday friday night.

I'm not from the area so it may just be that I'm not accustomed to local taste, but the food was just ok. I guess that's what I get for ordering"chicken fried ribeye". Not sure what I was thinking. But the service was great so I guess I can't complain too much.

Not impressed at all. Bad lighting, couldn't even read the menu...had to pull out my cell phone to see the menu. Bad table, sat in a traffic area; narrow space. Food was mediocre....way overpriced! Not going back.

Excellent margaritas! Made reservations for a special dinner in celebration of graduation. The server was attentive to our large group and our table was ready right on time. The food was good- lots of steak options.

Good food. Extremely Busy & Crowded.

I've been to Boudro's a number of times. I've always enjoyed their steaks and especially the Guac! It's best to call ahead for reservations a day or two before your visit - this'll ensure you jump to the head of the line when you arrive. This place gets extremely busy!!

I rated my experience 4 stars this time around. This was because the hostess sent us inside to wait by the bar and then completely forgot about us (20+ min wasted time). Also, the steak I ordered was overcooked and I had to send it back (it pains me to return food to the kitchen). The 2nd steak was great. Our waiter, Stacey was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We were very happy with his service - he did a great job.

I'll be back.

We always make it a point to stop in at Boudro's when visiting the River Walk. The wait staff are always wonderful, and can help guide you to some excellent menu options. You must try the guac, which is made at the table and some of the best you will try. A lovely place to dine for appetizers and drinks or a full meal.

Always have had great food here and well mixed drinks. Table-side Gauc for two is great. Prickly pear cactus margarita is a standard drink for them, tasty, but a but sweet for me, but they can mix a decent gin martini too. Whether seated inside or out, the place offers a pleasant atmosphere. Well worth the money for good, consistent Yes-Mex food on the river walk.

Celebrated our anniversary here, top notch in every way. The food was delicious, our server, John, was very knowledgeable about the menu and the cocktails. We even got a free desert! Go, you won't be disappointed!!!

The food was awesome and the service was good but it is way too tight of a space to eat comfortably. The noise level in there was also uncomfortably high due to the number of people in such a small space. It was too hot even just sitting in there. I felt like I was crammed against my table and had to dodge elbows from passers by.

The location of the restaurant is very nice if you want to dine on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. The restaurant stays relatively busy and is a popular location for special dining outs, with locals and tourists alike. I went there with my girlfriend and it did not take us long to be seated. We opted to dine inside as dining outdoors on the Riverwalk has a tendency to invite our local pigeons and rodents. The wait staff is attentive and the price is in line with what you would expect to pay at a tourist eatery (which is pricey). I ordered the Cajun blackened steak and my girlfriend ordered enchiladas. Where we were seated allowed me a direct view into the kitchen. I witnessed employees that were not chefs using their bare hands to prepare the nacho appetizers. I noticed employees were not wearing hair nets. One employee wiped his hand across his brow and went back to preparing the nachos. The floor was covered in crumbs and was in need of sweeping. After observing this for roughly 15 minutes, our food arrived. My steak was tasty and met my expectations. It was well-seasoned and was a good portion for the price. My girlfriend initially enjoyed her enchiladas until she pulled a long hair from INSIDE her enchilada. Needless to say, she did not finish the plate and we were compensated for her meal as it was written off. The tastes were good but I suspect there is a problem with their sanitation.

Traveling from Las Cruces , NM. Came here for graduation night and will definitely not be the last time. Michael was awesome with his service. Traveling from out of town, he was patient with us while we looked over the menu what seemed to be forever. He gave us all the time we needed and answered all questioned we had. The food was spectacular. One of us had the quail , another the sausage & duck gumbo, the last one had salmon. It was all perfectly cooked.Incredible taste. Menu is acceptable as far as pricing is concerned. Michael definitely had an impact on this review. His customer service is great. Thanks Michael!

We had a great time. It was very crowded and we had 6 people for a table of 4. Having said all that, they did us a favor since we had no reservations. All the food was excellant. So very good. I had the Trout and it was great. One had the steak and he is picky and said it was great.

Outstanding!!!Had shrimp and grits wife got the salmon. Also had the guacamole spread as an appetizer. Best meal I had in San Antonio. Service was terrific. Don't understand how people can not give this not 5 stars. They have to be jealous competitors.
