So my last stop at a dealership def calls for a 5/5 review. I was about to scrap my 2013 Mazda 3 in a dumpster coz for last three years no one, I mean no one, was able to figure out why my dash lights up like a Christmas tree and I lose all power without rhyme or reason. Mechanics, electrical techs, no one. Then came Budds Mazda. If them finding a problem without throwing parts at it wasn't awesome enough as is, the customer service was on point. I was rear-ended - car was written off and needed to buy a car - quickly. I had not considered Mazda before and decided before i made a rush choice, i should investigate.
I was very disappointed in their sales tactics...i would really like to assume it was the sales rep i had...but management was just as bad.
Short Story: Upon being greeted and asked what else i was considering, that brand was bashed right away, again during the test drive, and further at the time of negotiation with a price way above what was discussed. I walked out frustrated. If you cannot sell your car based on its merit alone and by educating the consumer on "Why" you should buy your brand - you shouldn't be selling cars.....detail below.
I was greeted right after looking at the CX-5...they have done a good job with it and it looks great. I was asked what else i was considering and told him a CRV and Rogue...immediately the sales rep started telling me that the Nissan was not in the same class, and i shouldn't even consider it...it would rust out in 3-5 years (coming from a 9 year old Nissan without a spot of rust on it, i ignored him).
Proceeded to do the test drive, and it became clear the sales guy had a lot of experience, but was brand new to Mazda. Every question i had asked about the car (As i did not research it prior) he didn't know the answer to....which was fine - but disappointing. He brought up Nissan again, and started to speak about how really, it was just between Honda and Mazda...He asked what price i would be looking at i said less than 470 a month...he said that would be fine.
The irony is that everyone i have known to have a Mazda has complained about rust...
Back in the dealership and price came to 520 or something...i had said that wasn't what we spoke about - so we did the "i'll get the manager" dance. It should be noted this was my 5th dealership experience and the FIRST one that we did the manager dance.
He comes back, lowers the price to just over $500 - i was dissapointed, and then immediately followed was the manager and placed the Consumer Reports Magazine in front of me and stated again how poor Nissan was.
OK - fine....lets play this game. I said "ok, lets do this, lets compare one for one line by line between the Rogue and the CX-X with the "proof" that you are showing me my alternate choice is so poor". that didn't go well for them...what people don't look at is the consumer report for each model gives you "over all" for ALL years...so i went down to 2015 for both....the Nissan actually was rated higher in the individual sections...
It was shocking to me that this is how they approached me. Instead of talking to me about the features, safety, power, handling all the things that people LOVE about the CX-5, they decided it would be easier to just bash another brand. I walked out at this point, visibly upset...i felt taken advantage of and treated with little respect.
As i was leaving the sales guy came back out....i was blunt and upset...telling him that if that is how they choose to sell cars, i wanted nothing to do with it. I knew nothing about the car before and nor after because they didn't educate me.
The owner called me a few hours later to ask what happened...i told him....he said he was sorry "i took it that way"...but that the magazines are used for comparison purposes not for sales...i told him he may want to address this with his sales team. He was nice as was i, he was apologetic...but that left a nasty flavor in my mouth...
I ended up with the Rogue, and its been brilliant.
I'd like to think this was just my experience and this is not how they do business...the Owner seemed nice and honest...but i felt i should share.
My son and I had a fantastic experience at Budds' Mazda. We had the pleasure of meeting Moe and Matt. Words cannot express how helpful they are and how great they were at answering all our questions. Matt came along on our test drive and gave us a word of information about the car. Truly a great experience.
The dealer was very thorough in explaining the services and what s covered by the warranty. The shop is well kept with a good waiting area. Since I had to work, they offered me one of the empty offices for a couple of hours, so I didn t have to waste time commuting back and forth for the car pickup. I m pleased with the overall experience.
We have been impressed by this Dealership and have purchased 3 vehicles here. The service staff are top notch, far above other service advisers we've used at other Dealerships. Matt Wren, who sold us our most recent car, was quick, thorough and very organized. He has a good sense of humour and made sure that our experience was pleasant and efficient! A great experience!
I had my CX5 service appointment with Budds Mazda last Wednesday, Feb 20, 2019 and the whole experience was flawless. I called for an appointment the day before and got an availability for the next day. They provided service vehicle to bring me to work after I dropped off the car and they picked me up as well. They gave free car wash too after the service. Overall I would definitely recommend them for their excellent work.
Saw a car on a post I was interested in. Since I couldn't get to the dealership that day they asked me to put a deposit down but I was told that this deposit would NOT hold the car. Meaning, a deposit was useless. They said they would hold it and tag it for me... Car was sold the next day. Disappointed
I brought in my 2010 Mazda3 to get the Transmission Module Controller replaced and the entire process was excellent with great customer service, knowledgeable staff and overall a quick and fast process. Although the wrong part came in when it was ordered, through no fault of the dealership, they were able to get me a next day appointment to rectify the situation.
Will definitely bring in my Mazda again if required. Thanks for the great and honest service!

Recently purchased a used Mazda 3 from this location. Had a great experience, the staff was very inviting and friendly. In particular the Salesman Matt Wren, helped guide me through the used cars to find the ideal vehicle for me. Couldn't of asked for a better salesman. Id recommend this salesman and location to anybody.

Car shopping - Salesman was WAY too annoying... Agreed with everything I was saying to my wife... then starts gloating about Mazda being top in its class on safety. I said no it's not and he says it is. then I pop out my phone go to IIHS and show him its not. he said nothing after. Wife didn't like him either. Least fav salesman we visited.
Also no follow up to see if we were interested. Lack of care.
Brought my car in for a parking brake recall and touch screen not operating correctly. Fixed both my issues under warranty and even washed my car. Customer service here is amazing!. Thank you so much
Katie at the service desk is AMAZING. She is extremely helpful and always goes the extra mile to make sure your completely looked after and u sweat and what needs to be done with the car. I have now switched to only bringing my 2 Mazda s to Buddy s for servicing as a result. Would definitely recommend.
Been to the service center 3 times with my 93 mpv. The first time i took it there for service was to get my brakes replaced. The service was not cheap but it was done very well. The second time was because my car didn't start and they replaced the spark plugs and wires and did an oil change. Not cheap but done very well. These guys are great. Everything they have fixed has been fixed very well and very thoroughly. The last time I was there was at the end of November and I got an oil change. Very happy once again. I'm used to Avante Mazda in Richmond Hill. These guys are right up there with them in my books.
As always, Budds' Mazda provided excellent customer service. This is my third time purchasing a car with them, and there were no surprises. I would recommend Budds' Mazda to anyone looking to purchase a new or used car. You will not be disappointed.

Always such pleasant service! It s nice to know that I can take my car there to get serviced even though my car is not a Mazda and still receive the same customer service as any other Mazda customer! The service manager, Andrea is very knowledgeable and ensures everything is taken care of for me so I do not need to worry (like their shuttle service) and exterior car cleaned after service is completed. She is super friendly, always very helpful and explains what is being done to my car in detail. Overall would highly recommend Budds Mazda for anyone who needs their own car serviced.
I just wanted to take a moment to say how amazing the service it at Budds Mazda Oakville. The customer service there is exceptional!! I have been a long time Mazda customer and I highly recommend this dealership.
Sales person (George) and GM (Robert) promised to provide a vehicle to drive between when I had to return my leased vehicle and when they could locate and deliver my car, did not happen.
Car was delivered to me damaged, scratches on the horn pad, bubbling tint (had to reapply 2 times to get it right) and a weathered out "premium" leather steering wheel.
Pressured to rate the sale as 5 star.
Vehicle had visited Budds' nearly 10 times. The service staff damaged the car at least 3 times resulting in the horn pad having the be replaced again, steering wheel cowling and greased up finger prints on the headliner which were never correctly resolved (it was too difficult for them to do it properly).
I had attempted to be civil and cooperative with Budds' but became enraged with them when they began to mess up appointment times and gave away their courtesy vehicles to other people on top of persistently damaging my property.
As the GM never replied to any of my concerns or phone calls, I contacted the owner of the dealership. He suggested I go elsewhere if I was not happy. I was then banned from Budds' Mazda by Terry Budd. He had agreed to fix the rusting tailgate on my 8 month old car and arrange to have the Active Display replaced (which I had brought the car to them 4 days in a row to show them the problem as requested) before we parted ways. The tailgate was taken care of but not the Active display.
I had contacted Mazda Canada at this point, and they were the ones that told me that Budds' now refuses to service the car.
The Service Manager (Steve) informed me that they were afraid to work on my car and two people had been fired due to the damage they had done.
After an attempt to fix the headliner, and a requested follow up by the Service Manager in spite of my ban. I attempted to contact him, and did not get a response. I followed up 3 weeks later and received a message from him that it was his last day with the dealership.
I contacted Terry Budd who requested to meet with me. His demeanour was pompous and condescending asking if "This was my first car" and saying "Are you serious?" to my concerns. He went on to inform me that they had made less than $700 from the sale of my vehicle, as if this was something that I should be concerned about. He also discredited the former Service Manager stating that nobody had been fired and inferred that he had been over-dramatic. I steered the conversation away from this and we agreed to try to figure out why so many things were going wrong with my vehicle.
I returned to Budds' under the care of the new Service Manager, Gerry. I had an issue, which was intermittent but I had taken video. He identified the issue and agreed to have it taken care of. There were also issues with the car's software, which disabled some nav features.
Brought to the attention of the Service Advisor that the vehicle shakes at highway speeds. The note on my invoice and in e-mails from Gerry tell me "take it to the people who rotated your tires, it may need balancing".
I had agreed with the Service Advisor, Katie to have the tires balanced with Budds' at the same time as the software update became available. Gerry ignored this and his correspondence were rude.
I contacted Mazda Canada again, with no intention of discrediting Budds' as our relationship was fragile. I wanted to discuss why this vehicle in particular has so many issues when we have an identical vehicle with zero issues.
As I had posted in my Twitter account about my woes with my vehicle (no mention of Budds') and my frustration with how I was being handled, I learnt that Budds' monitored my Twitter account, in spite of not following them or being followed by them.
I was also told that I was hostile and threatening. I never threatened anyone and my hostility was due to their negligence. They request feedback.
Why are they watching my Twitter?
UPDATE: With Mr. Budds' reply, I have added photos to my review of "perceived" flaws which only pertain to commitments they had not fulfilled.
I ve had some paint issue with my car which required a dealer visit. Budd s Mazda was close to my work and I ve decided to give them a try.
I want to start by saying that I ve had an amazing customer experience at this dealership. Every service advisor I have dealt with has been courteous and professional but there is one name in particular that I would like to mention and that is the service manager, Jason Corrigan, who went the extra mile and put all his efforts in trying to convince Mazda that this is a manufacturing defect that has to be fixed under warranty. Although it was a very long road, Mazda finally proved that they stand behind their product and solved the issue to my satisfaction. Again, without Jason, this would not likely have been possible.
This is my 4th Mazda and although there were some hiccups with this vehicle, it s because Mazda s dedicated employees like Jason Corrigan that I am now strongly reconsidering this brand and looking forward for the new 2019 Mazda 3 for my next car purchase.
After months of deliberation and shopping around, my mom and I finally purchased my first car from Budds' Mazda. Salesman Matt Wren is the BOMB! He was as patient as can be as we came in frequently to talk about and test drive the same Mazda 3. He was extremely kind and helpful and overall a fun guy to be around! This is not my usual dealership, but Ganesh took care of my car troubles very well at a reasonable price.
My tire blew out on the highway. I decided to tow my car to this dealership as it was the closest. We arrived when service was already closed and I was told I would be called Tuesday morning. My tire blew just before a long weekend.
Ganesh called me 7:45 Tuesday morning, explained what he would step by step along the way. He did not make a decision for me. He also thought outside of the box to mitigate my expenses. In the end, it was less than his original quote.
My car was ready 75 minutes before I was ready to pick it up. I'm very happy with the service I received here and happy to have my car back.
Having the CX-9 regular maintenance done was a breeze. An oil change, fluids, brakes checked, some other odds and ends, all less than $350. Could I do it myself? Sure, but this saved me a LOT of time and headache, and honestly it probably wasn't that much more expensive to let them deal with it. And the process was really easy at Budds. I didn't feel pressured for anything more than I asked for, and they were FAST!!
Rahul Sidhu is a wonderful sales person, we recommend if you want to understand, learn more or just have a test drive - Rahul is your guy! Ask for Rahul and he will greet you with the warmest smile. Also, he is there with you at every stage. Rahul was there with his follow ups and knowledge about cars as well as the industry. Jason Rebelo has been a great help in getting me a great deal on my new 2015 Mazda3 demo car. He used to work for another dealerships, and he's been very honest when comparing Mazdas with other vehicles I considered. Him and his team have been professional and accommodating, they spent almost 3 hours speaking to us and explaining just about everything we asked for in detail. I am a first time car buyer, and have been to many dealers (both Mazda and otherwise) before coming to Budds, and I appreciate their level of patience and honesty with the purchase. 5/5 experience with the dealers, I would definitely recommend considering going to Budds' for future Mazda purchases.

I went in to Budds' to buy a Mazda 3. My stepdad and I dealt with Matt Wren, who did an exceptional job from start to finish. He was prepared, professional, honest, and fun to be around. He knew the car inside and out when we took it for a test drive, and was very proactive about the car's background. This was my first time buying a car from a dealership, and I've found that my prior beliefs about dealerships were way off. All of our questions were answered, whether it was asked of Matt, Budd, or any of the other staff. No pushy sales or squeezing in fees. Everyone is friendly and I always felt comfortable. The pre-owned Mazda 3 I bought drives perfectly and I couldn't be happier. 10/10. I'll be going back to Budds' for my next purchase. Thank you to all at Budd's.
I recently purchased a car at Budd's Mazda in Oakville. A nerve racking task for me to say the least. I'm a single Mum and had never been through the car buying or financing process. I knew exactly what I wanted though... a Mazda 3 Hatchback (gorgeous cars). Well I was very lucky to find myself being hand held throughout the whole process by a very nice product advisor called Mike Holguin.
Mike was very patient with me through several trips to the dealership (usually on my lunch) and he really helped me out.

Our first visit for an oil change for a 2016 CX-5. I asked about updating the infotainment system and it was completed along with the oil change. Luckily, I was still under my warranty. My home dealer, Mainway Mazda, never bothered to update the infotainment for free under warranty. The price for the oil change was also about 15% lower than our home dealer.
Very professional service from Sean Gooding. No pressure. Lot's of helpful information and suggestions. When Mazda Canada couldn't supply the car I had ordered, he found one through the dealership network.

The only negative was that the AutoTrader ad claimed the car had features that it didn't (seat heaters), disappointed but not a deal breaker. Greg
I've been struggling to keep the services of this dealership but today, I made the decision I'd never be back here. I booked an appointment a week prior to fix some Mazda recall problem. Staff confirmed on the phone that the part was available and the whole process will take about an hour. I show up on the agreed appointment time only to be told stories about the part not being available and the shuttle driver being too busy to go get the restock supply and it will take 3 hours to complete the service. Really?? The sense of disregard for client's time and inconveniences was just not even a thing for the staff attending to me today. This is my first ever negative review on a business, so that should say something about how patient I can typically be with service providers. With this one, I'm done!
Ok..... Jason responded to my concerns very effectively and took actions to address them satisfactorily. I really commend him and look forward to my next visit now Thank you!
I have recently bought a Mazda 3 from Budds Mazda, and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I stepped in the doors everyone made me feel comfortable and were very friendly. I started with Pablo (who was fantastic), but was then switched to Mike Holguin (which was seamless) Mike was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny! He did not mind taking me on 2 test drives and answering all my questions (being a new car buyer I had many) Mike was always available to answer questions via phone call, email even text! I cannot say enough about the experience I had, I will definitely be telling all my friends and family, and will be coming back to Mike to buy my next car.
It did not take me long to realize the approach used to sell cars at Budds Mazda is very different then the other dealerships I had gone to. They were kind, took time to get to know me and helped me through the entire process.

Had to replace the entire underseat mechanism just because 1 small part, the cable broke. It cost $1,700 with tax I believe, this included an oil change. Environmentally we should not have to throw this entire functioning piece away for 1 small cable. To me it's a money grab by the car industry as a whole. The cable broke because when adjusting my seat something jammed underneath like a water bottle, apparently this is common so be sure to clear under your seat so you can prevent paying this hefty bill. Budds Mazda however I am very pleased with. They are always kind and thorough and can always fit me into their schedule.

I have dealt with 4 different Mazda Dealership's for Service. This location has always done a great job with my car. I didn't even buy my car at this location. The location I bought my car has had horrid service. Budds' has always done great work, for me. As a dealership, though, they are on the pricier side. So keep that in mind.
