Nice variety of small hills, medium hills. and snowboarding areas as well. Slopes are frequently groomed and, considering the warm winter we've had, snow is often in decent condition. Recently, our Boy Scout council had an overnight lock-in at Buck Hill and the prices for the event were very reasonable (especially considering that we spent 8 hours there). My kids always enjoy going to Buck Hill.

Good local place to ski, and you can get a good deals on season tickets if you get them way ahead of time. The big drawback is that the hills are not long, and there can be backups at the chair lifts during peak days. Offers two chalets for dining or quick food.

Amazing place, it s amazing how they can fit everything you could possibly want in one small hill. They have a half pipe, 3 terrain parks, moggels, and plenty of room for racers. One thing I don t like is the attitude racers and race coach s treat us park skiers, they re always very rude and act like they own the hill and we re just juvenile people.

Decent place for boarding with-in the city.

Decent place for boarding with-in the city.
A lot of unattended kids. This can make it a little annoying plus people like to just sit at the top of the park and jump area.

Had not skied here in 30 years. This place has grown. While the ski hills are substantially the same, the lifts are now excellent. The base area bars, food and service are much improved.

If you live in the south metro and want a quick trip, this is the best place short of an hours drive.

Very quaint, very convenient, and fun place to ski! Not a lot of runs, but nice to have something pretty close to home. Somewhat expensive, but properly priced to ensure its not too crowded. The ski rental for my kids were in decent shape, and hills were well groomed.

The restaurant is fairly small, a bit overpriced, but is a fun atmosphere. The food is not bad compared to the usual ski chalet restaurant.

I do NOT recommend Buck Hill for snow tubing. Don't waste your money coming here. You only get a two-hour limit, but most of your time will be spent waiting in line. We paid for the two hours, but we left after an hour because we only got to go tubing twice for the hour that we were there. And we came on Christmas Day, so it wasn't nearly as busy as a regular day. The reason the lines went so slow was because people kept taking pictures up on the hill and instead of the staff making sure the lines flowed smoothly, they allowed people to keep stopping to take photos on their phones before they went down the hill. If you're going to put a time limit on your customers, then you need to make sure that your lines are flowing efficiently to maximize our time. If the staff made sure to keep the lines flowing smoothly, we could've probably gotten to go down the hill at least 5-6 times, if not more for the hour we were there. Don't waste your money coming here!

First time snow tubing and we loved it. It wasn't expensive either and when we needed to warm up they have a little bonfire going. Will certainly go again but can't wait to see what they offer in the summer.

Ok place that is closest hill near mpls. They hardly ever have all lifts running, which means 2+ hills are closed. Yet there all day price stays the same, and they do not tell you this through the phone. They are shady, not opening entire hills and lifts.
