BrownHaven was really great for planning. They made house building easy .Subrina was the best!

John Allen and Brown Haven Builders built our home. We have had one problem after another and we actually had to go and sit on the Brown Haven office for John to even talk to us. We had called repeatedly and he would NOT return our calls. Brown Haven forgot to put a support under our house and the floor started sagging. After three plus attempts of a fix, it is as probably as good as it will get. Then we found out that in the process, the insulation was not replaced properly and the plastic barrier that they promised us was going to be replaced, was never done. Every time we had something on the punch list (2 pages) worked on, we normally had something worse happen. We have had to take it upon ourselves to fix things since they don t seem to care. Currently we have contacted Brown Haven and have yet to see anyone! My advice use any one else but Brown Haven.

Subsequent to many years of careful research and conversations with various contractors in the North Georgia Region my husband and I decided to contract with Brown Haven Builders for our second home in Young Harris, Georgia.Our experience with this company can be described by satisfaction and confidence in the final product as well as the process during construction and personal selection stages.We were advised that whether we were in Florida or Georgia that the process would be free from stress and we can say this was the case.We were part of everything in connection with the process and our satisfaction was clearly a priority with this Builder.We have owed our new home for approximately 14 months and remain satisfied with the product and the builder.My husband and I would urge any potential home building clients to not over look Brown Haven as a potential choice.

What first attracted us to Brown Haven Builders was their wide and varied selection of house plans. Their website gave us a good idea of their process.
Going through the selection process was easy. They have a wide selection of options on everything including cabinets, lighting, flooring, countertops, siding, roofing and other items. We used the services of the Brown Haven staff designer who assisted us with selections and made good suggestions. We were well pleased with her help.
The contract process was very easy. When we could not get to the office to go over the contract changes in person, we were able to use GoTo Meeting and complete the process online.
The building process went smoothly. The project manager/builder for our house sent regular updates by text including photos. He was quick to respond to questions or concerns. Having built several homes before this one, we found this to be a pleasant experience.
We have and do recommend Brown Have to anyone building a new home and are well satisfied with our home.

Subrina has been extremely professional and a pleasure to work with She always has a smile and a laugh. Brown Haven has continued to make contact with us through the building experience and have been responsive to all of our needs. I've been through 4 building processes and by far this has been the best experience.

Tracy has always been a great help and quick to get the info we need even though it's been about three years since we had our custom home built by them. We LOVE our house and the only problem of major importance was the HVAC which was a problem w the install by Tri state...and Tri state owner was being an ahole about the issue so Brown Haven put me in touch w the fellow that actually did the work who went out in his own and he was great...I believe that he is Appalachian air now.

My husband and I chose Brown Haven in Hiawassee after visiting or touring other homesites under construction and meeting with other builders in the area. We told Subrina what we wanted and she worked with us to create the floor plan that best worked for us. We went to the showroom in Ellijay to select the colors and fixtures for our home from a wide variety of materials and finishes. All of the office personnel were committed to a timeline and we were given a booklet containing information we could utilize throughout the entire process. The road and site clearing began the last of January and we are very close to a move in date. Steve, our project manager, has been responsive and personable and we could not have asked for a better person to oversee the process. The organizational, communication, and business skills of all we interacted with was impressive. We highly recommend Brown Haven Homes to anyone who wishes to build in North Georgia or Western North Carolina.

I have been in contact with this company person Lia for about two months trying to get one of their contractors out to a mountain lot to see what type of cabin can they build on this particular lot, before we placed our offer under contract. The slope is extremely steep and we wanted some advice before we made our offer on the lot to see if it can be built on and what type of house would work best. After two months of basically run around and e-mails, she told me I had to come to their office in Hiawasse and basically give them a deposit before they could see us any further. Which is totally absurd! why would we want to give this company money, without seeing the lot with one of the builders. Unless you are willing to hand over money to them don't even bother calling this office.

From the sales experience through selections and building processes, Brownhaven made building our custom dream home a great experience. They educated us on the various products and updated us weekly during the construction phase. We are now in the warrantee phase and I am pleased with their responsiveness. Compared to our prior homes, Brownhaven provides a superior product with tons of patience and a smile on their face(s). Thank you Brownhaven!

This is a quick note to anyone that is thinking of building around the Georgia/North Carolina area. My wife and I have spent many summers on Lake Chatuge and finally made the decision to have a getaway house built on the lake. Not being from the area, we were somewhat in the dark as to choosing a quality builder at a reasonable price. I hold a high-ranking position at work where providing customer service at its finest is a must. This is what we would expect, but far too often have not received. We had looked at several different builders that seemed to all be very similar on the outside, but when taking a much closure look, indeed were different. Unfortunately, our lives did not allow us the leisure of remaining in the area while the build was taking place. Therefore, it was a must that we hired a reputable builder that we could trust. We must say that this has been the best build of any we have ever done, and the quality of work completed was nothing but outstanding. Through every phase of the build, all of Brown Havens staff displayed the upmost of professionalism and provided the pinnacle of service. As with any build, there will always be little things that need to be rectified. In our case, these were the smallest of items that were corrected immediately. We have experienced zero hassle with any parties involved. Our foreman, Damon has been fantastic, giving us weekly updates on the progress of the build. The company utilizes software that allows you to view the latest accomplishments from week to week. The budget was accurate to the penny, and we have received everything that was promised. We have close friends that have experienced terrible builds with other contractors and we feel fortunate that we have had such a pleasant experience with ours. Please take this review from us as a sincere honest assessment of the quality of Brown Haven Homes as a company. We would highly recommend them to anyone who is inquiring into a builder.
