Wonderful zoo. It's a great place to spend the day with family and friends. Not only do you get to see the animals you also get to learn about them and what you can do to help save them.

I really enjoyed Bronx Zoo, it's large, many animals to see. However, I did go on a Wednesday because its free admission and NEVER again. It was so crowded that we could barely see any animals because piles of people are propped in front. Line to the ladies bathroom was ridiculously long too. My suggestion is to NOT to go on a Wednesday.

One of best Zoo in NY. We reached bit late but still covered almost. Bengal express train is good , you can see Lion, Rhino, peacocks, elephant etc. 4D theatre is also good. It closes bit early 5.30, should be open till 7 pm during summer. Overall very good experience with kids.

As expensive as this place can be, I still love it. If you go on a Wednesday, it's definitely worth getting a Total Experience Ticket to go see all the different Special Attractions. Jungle World, The Wild Asia Monorail, and the Children's Zoo are my favorites. You will have an experience you can't have anywhere else in the world. <3

The best Zoo! Kids or grown, go there as long as it is sill summer in NYC.
I think that this is the coolest Zoo i have ever been in. And let me tell you something, i have seen few. When my sister and my nephew came to visit, they asked to go to the Bronx Zoo. I first said no, since i though it will be boring. But i must say: It has been no less than amazing! The animals are being take care of very well, and it was a beautiful sunny day. I really recommend it.

I got there at 10:20 on a Sunday morning shortly after they opened. They have a parking lot but I personally think it s insane to pay $17 for parking when you could possibly find street parking. So that s what I did, made a u-turn and found street parking a block away.

It s recommended purchasing your ticket prior to showing up.

The zoo was clean and easy to navigate however a lot of the animals weren t out because it was a cold 35 degree morning.

They are many food options and a couple spots for a beer inside the zoo however they were all closed.

Overall it was a good experience and after 4 1/2 hours I left with still about a 1/3 of the zoo left unexplored.

We LOVE the Bronx Zoo but don t ever ever EVER go there on Free Wednesday, during spring vacation, on the first really nice day...UNLESS you want to also experience the press of a rush hour nyc sidewalk almost continually during your visit, and mile-long lines EVERYWHERE (including the Women s bathrooms!)...it is a ZOO (& we very shamefacedly recommend using the men s rooms those lines were SO awful!) Otherwise, all things considered, in our humble estimation, it still exceeds the San Diego Zoo in beauty and remains our favorite zoo in all of the USA...

Great zoo, bigger than most. You most likely won't be able to see everything in one day but the visit is well worth it. I spent about 5 hours and felt like I got my money's worth; take the monorail ride if possible. Really neat feature that is included in the full price of admission along with other perks. Oldest zoo in the United States and it's one of the greatest. Family friendly and wheelchair accessible.

Visited the Bronx Zoo for Holiday Lights. What a beautiful and well planned holiday activity for the family. The zoo at night decorated with Christmas lights and music is such a wonderful experience! Don't miss a ride on the carousel and the ice sculptures. Of course, have a drink at Africa Village. Become a zoo member and enjoy this world class zoo all year!

Such a diverse mix of animals from all over the world! I could hardly believe we were in the city; staff is so friendly and cordial, it makes you feel at ease to know the animals are taken care of nice, kind folk.

Great experience. Most indoor and outdoor exhibits opened up and are great. I visited Bronx zoo first time and kids loved it. The Crane plaza serves variety of food and inexpensive compared to some of the other places I have been. so don t waste your time to pack meals.

Get an annual family membership, and you then get free parking and unlimited admission all year long. ROI in barely under two visit so it's a steal. You also get 10 percent off all purchases including food and souvenirs. This is a HUGE Zoo. Lots of great attraction, including a 4D theater, monorail ride all around the zoo (spring and summer mostly), children Zoo (huge section), butterfly garden, mouse house, and many others. Seagulls, brown bear, polar bear, Tigers and Baboons are all part of this excellent Zoo. Note that this doesn't beat the San Diego Zoo or the Singapore Zoo, but it's top notch nevertheless.

Very expansive zoo, one of the largest in the country. The zoo very cool exhibits, some of my favorites being the 4D theater as well as the Congo. The only downside is the signage, the zoo has plenty of signs intended to help visitors self-navigate, however, some of the signs are a little confusing. Thankfully, employees are stationed everywhere and are available to answer questions.

Pro: Wednesdays admittance is free, good animal exhibition, this zoo is really huge but very good organized
Con: during the summer is the high season and on Wednesdays are not enough parking space available.

Amazing place huge one, clean. Liked the fact that they simulated the natural environment of each animal they have. Ok Wednesday s it s free to walk around and has a special deal for activities. A must see when visiting New York.

Loved it. Lots of animals to see. I didn't get to see the tigers and the gorillas. They were hiding. My most favorite animal was the sea lions. They were very energetic and making lots of noise.

The experience is amazing there's no crowds like before so you can enjoy the zoo much better. The employees are very consistent with cleaning high touch areas and there are many hand sanitizing stations throughout the zoo. Many exhibits are closed which is a bummer but still an overall great experience. Will definitely go again before my membership expires.
