This place is great. Adding new adventures all the time.

It's the zoo. If you can plan your trip for a day there won't be many other visitors.

The zoo is well maintained & beautiful. The staff is great & very helpful to answer all questions. I highly recommend that you go. Just a great experience.

Had a very good experience with my family, we spent about 4 hours going around. Very entertaining place for kids with a variety of animals.

One of my favorite places to visit ever since I was a kid. Good at all times of the year!

The Bronx Zoo is awesome, and well worth whatever the entrance fee was. Even though it was for kids, the petting/feeding zoo was probably my favourite part -- the Zebu cow was adorable.

A must see. It's reputation for displaying animals in their environments is well earned. You can get up close and personal with many different animals such as river otters, a giant anteater named "Velcro", an aardvark, snow leopards, gorillas, bears, rodents/small mammals, snakes/other reptiles, fruit bats and an almost infinite number of different birds and fish. There truly is something for everyone of any age. The sheer number of animals, exhibits and attractions/rides is impossible to explore in one day, but that's a good thing. There is a central eating area as well as plenty of stands scattered throughout the zoo for snacks. The children's zoo is large and permits kids to feed and otherwise interact with animals. After the zoo, a meal at one of the many Italian restaurants on Arthur Avenue is only a few blocks away.

Its a perfect attraction to visit on a quiet day. Take a stroll and enjoy the displays for all the exhibits. Avoid wednesday if you want a calmer more peacefull experience. But for the budget wednesday is for donations.

I really enjoyed the zoo. The staff were very nice. And it s a great place to just spend time with your family . So if you like nature you will love the bronx zoo.

Loved it. Wait times were fair, but food highly overpriced. Definitely worth seeing if on a short trip through New York.

It's a nice place for the kids to have an adventure

its a GREAT experience, to see different animals n birds, that you dont get to see in the street because of their inhabitalism. or just the world uses them as arts to show to the people from different rase.

Freat place for Italian items. One of the laat few places that cater to the Irish and Italian

We been in the Bronx Zoo couple times and my kids love it. I will recomend you bring water and snacks, there are expensive, more if you have a big family as us.

So many animals all displayed in natural settings. it's a huge place and will take more than a day to see everything.

I had not been to the Bronx zoo for about 8 years and I have to say wow..spectacular in every way..my granddaughter and I had such a wonderful time it s so beautiful and so many different kinds of animals,reptiles,insects,birds..it s so worth it in every way..it s a beautiful place to enjoy on your own or with the family or friends..

I love this zoo have been going here for over 40 years unfortunately the prices have become too much especially for parking ,I can no longer afford to go.

Hands down the best zoo on the East coast! No question...its massive. So, wear your trainers and get trekking. Dont forget to bring a sizable snack or two. There's loads to see. Cheers all!

A beautiful zoo but the crowds are quite intense
most days with good weather. Sometimes
the line to enter the parking lot itself is hours long.

Perfect place for kids. Good place for spring to fall. Winter season may not be a good time to visit. Not worth to pay that much to see a lot less animals.

The zoo was a lot bigger than I thought and we did lots of walking. We were there at 10:00 when they opened and left at 5:00 when they closed. There was lots of places to eat and shop. You could bring your own food and drink for a picnic, they have lots of picnic tables as well. Lots of animals everywhere. A must see place for the whole family. Wear good walking shoes and have a camera for those great memories.

Was surprised so many animals were not out, but other than that it was great. Parking was full in all lots, kinda sucked but what do you expect

Love the Bronx Zoo. Largest, most divese zoo in tri-state area. Membership is well worth it.

Always a great place to go. Buy a membership it pays for itself after the second visit.

Came for boo at the zoo, got bitten by an alpaca in the petting zoo. Looked back to see if there was a do not pet sign and was showing my alpaca bite off to my family when an employee attacked me with IS THERE A PROBLEM HERE i replied i got bit by an alpaca. She continued to yell in my face that it was my fault and showed zero care that they clearly have an agressive animal. Sad, they don t care about the mental needs of their animal prisoners they let tundra die a brutal death alone after pacing back and forth suffering for years alpacas are very gentle animals i didn t aggravate this animal i simply was standing near by. Time to up the standards and give the animals proper space and stimulation so they stop going zoo crazy.

It was great to visit the actual place after seeing two seasons of "The Zoo" on cable TV. A variety of different species. At times we were a little lost; I think the park maps could be better and the signage clearer. Everyone who works there was friendly and helpful.

This place has lots and lots of animals 4,000 this place is awesome is one of my favorite zoos in the world they have very cool exhibits like jungle world and Congo gorilla forest and the wild Asia monorail but really everything was so so cool the animals were so cool and awesome this zoo is huge and has tons of animals like so much I cannot even explain it there were a ton! There were so much animals this place is awesome and cool and filled with animals I love this zoo

Great old zoo right in the middle of NYC. Awesome exhibits and a wide range of animals, activities, and events.

Worst experience of my life. Drove 5 hours did a lot of walking saw a hole lot of nothing .all the places to eat were closed except for one .ant nothin like the tv show makes it out to be.

Don't go in winter months! Very cool zoo, very expansive. But half the exhibits are closed for the winter so even though the weather was nice, we missed out on a lot.

They left the polar bears out on a hot day with no ice and it got sick and yellow my niece even knows the whole story and she s only 3 I do not recommend this zoo because they abused all the animals I also saw a bird with no feathers and cuts and bruises the only thing good is the workers and how clean

Such a great place to come with your friends or family. Really recommend it

I love the Bronx Zoo there was a lot to see it was very interesting and I would recommend taking your kids there grandkids nieces nephews it's a good fun day

I absolutely loved it! I'm so happy for how the animals are being treated but I feel like the seals should have a few extra feet

I dint feel anything special about this zoo. Its a good place to visit with a good company.. And better not to visit during long weekends..Zoo will be really crowded.

Great fun with our 2.5 year old. Plenty to see. If you're a family going more than twice per year get the membership.

We are members and even if I never went again I would keep my membership up. My family loves the zoo, the animals and the staff. So much to do and see every visit.

This is my third time visiting this zoo, I love it! it was not crowded, hand sanitizer everywhere, even odyssey was wearing mask and keeping the distance. animals were so happy! unbelievable! I usually don't like this type of places because of the animals conditions, but this time was really good! very nice experience!

Went on the perfect day, inside enclosures were open animals were super active and everyone was obeying the mask policies. Great day at the zoo!

One of the great zoo our country has to offer. Enjoyed it as child and enjoy bringing my children now. The animals look well taken care of. The bird exhibit was amazing the reptiles and monkeys are cool. I love to see the giraffes and lions.

Fun, great to entertain a whole family or group of friends.

I moved back from California and couldn't wait to go to Bronx zoo again. Well my heart sank. It was so expensive to get in and then there is a charge for other areas in the park. They fenced off the baboons and now you can't see them at all for free. Wow! This is outrageous. I won't go back and will never recommend it to anyone again.

When paid for, the Bronx zoo is a very enriching experience.

Quite a few animals get quite the extra space making them more active within their cages and better for visitors to spectate. Jurrasic ride's atomatons look great even if they can't have any locomotion. But I bet they would even better during or after rain. So perhaps a jelly like substance could be added to them?

Reminds me of online freemium games. Admission on Wednesdays is free (the line is a 20min wait) but many of the attractions are only open to paid members unless you pay $6 for each one. However, I did have a great time with my friend and his family as we still saw reptiles, monkeys, giraffes, ostriches, and several other species. I just wish we could have seen the tigers without paying...

I love it we had fun and learn at the same time,the place is clean and well organised.Its a good experience for all ages....

I love the zoo, been visiting since I was a child. I need to read the visitor info better next time. I did not know you had to pay for the "full" experience. (To see everything) we saw what we could and left, until next time when we will be better prepared and see all of what the zoo has to offer. Very clean property. The restrooms are eco-friendly. Wonderful, helpful staff and friends of the zoo volunteers. Still such a beautiful place.

So much to see. Can't do it in one day. Get map online and plan what animals you really want to see before hand. Some cool natural habitats that put you right in the animal's back yard. Kids and adults loved this trip.

Great place for the entire family. Had an amazing visit. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, and if on a budget, bring your own snacks.

Returning as an adult with my own kid has been an amazing experience. Great variety of animals to view that overall appear and seem well cared for. Lots of different places to eat and drink (but can be pricey, which is why I did 4 stars). They have tons of gift shops, many bathrooms and great experiences. We go every year and they usually have something new. The dinosaur safari was great for my toddler obsessed with dinosaurs. You do have to pay for parking, so be prepared for that, plus park entry. Overall though pretty great days worth of stuff to do (plan a FULL day to see and do it all).

Great place to have a walk, take beautiful pictures, and /or just spend some time out of the city views.

awesome big zoo, made a video (youtube me), lots of animals, different environments(outdoor, indoor/tropical etc), was lucky to see the last NYC Polar Bear: Tundra was 26. Also saw Tiger, ducks, lizards, birds, sea lions & many more, definitely a must visit

Local, great for the kids, clean environment. It s great to have some green landscape in the bronx.

Had a great time with my daughter and really enjoyed her self. Now we go every 2weeks

We went on the Treetops Adventure -- Zipline & Ropes Course. We spent 3 hours and it was really worth it. We were so wiped out afterwards, but it was so much fun.

The Bronx zoo was great my grandson had a great time the dinosaur safari is a must see. I want to go back because theirs a few exhibits I didn't get to see, and also new ones their working on. all in all it was a great experience.

i went to a school trip there but it hot but idc i had fun

As always, it's fun for my 2 year old to come to try he Bronx zoo. We just recently went to the holiday lights display, he was so amazed. The smores station was the coolest thing for me & him...lol. I appreciate the creativity and thought that goes into these holiday events. It's the only reason I come back to see if they can out do the year before. Of course it also gives my son some time to run off his energy.

My 3 year old loved our visit. We would have to do 2 or 3 trips just to see everything. The full experience pass is worth it.

My experience of the Bronx Zoo was fantastic. My family had so much fun seeing the animals and the dinosaur safari.

Lots of walking up and down a lil hilly, but was nice and clean. The employees all seemed friendly and helpful.

It's always nice to visit on a free Wednesday and listen to all the extra commentary around, or go during a paid day and have large parts of the zoo to oneself.

Very nice place! Must seen - Children Zoo, Asian Loop, Asian Jungle, African Zone, Jurasic Jorney.

It's great experience to spend the time with nature. It is really well maintained and well designed zoo. Though it is Very difficult to see complete zoo in just one visit, we were able to see some part of it. Specially mono train view i liked most. It was a great fun, watching sea horses. Birds are living in their natural way.

Didn't get to see anything other than birds and we got there at 11. They keep the big animals in the back

Love this zoo. Been going since I was a baby. Peacocks walking around with you, friendly staff, good food, and great ticket packages online for your trip there.

It's cold outside and cause of that we can't see some animals.

Great place to go on a nice day but pack a lunch $$$

Love this place, always amazing things seen & memories made. Cannot beat the membership prices for everything included.
