My 3 year old loved it! Bring a stroller for kids under 5.

I went during COVID, so I know things aren't normal. But man, still $17 for parking!? And most of the events were cancelled or closed. Employees there were very nice, for New York!

The Zoo is amazing. It's 256 acres and the largest in the city. Took the monorail around the zoo. The giraffes were beautiful. The staff friendly and knowledgeable. Got a tiger mask. Love it.

Awesome experience. Monorail was the final touch at the end of the day. Highly recommend going!!

Is always nice to see different spices of animal recommend for family, friends school etc.

Was nice with lots of shade the attractions were interesting, offering multiple angles to see different animals. It was very expensive to go on the weekend. The monorail was a fun attraction and work doing. Food and drinks were expensive

Worldwide animals, excellent experience, would love if it's bigger!

Absolutely amazing!! Came early right at opening, got in for free as an NYC college student, and there were no crowds until later in the day which were minimal at worst. There are a lot of open exhibits which really make you feel like you can be close to the animals. In addition, the fall foliage is AMAZING and makes for such a nice walk with friends.

Hey guys, so honestly i normally love the bronx zoo however yesterday i was extremely disappointed. The bronx zoo lost their contract for the 4d show so that is no longer there. The new exhibit the "dinosaur safari" had a 2 hour wait- and i was told thats the shortest wait time its been yet....and with a membership i still had to pay for it, but u dont find out u actually have to pay till you've waited over an hour on the line and by now your not getting off it. The exhibit itself, not worth the hype- sorry. Definitely going to skip it the next time we go.

Had a great time at the Bronx Zoo. Free on Wednesdays but doesn't mean it's all free. Parking is expensive and also the food OMG.

The grizzly bears are always entertaining to watch.

Wonderful, NEED comfortable shoes. Lots of walking.

Some of the attraction weren t even open and many of the animals were kept inside.also eat something. Before going inside the zoo,the prices in the zoo food courts are ridiculous and mad expensive. You can buy ten times more food outside.

I go every year with my son and it is always a great experience.

All the good animals you have to pay separately to see. Hardly any animals are actually visible. A lot of walking in between animals. Not kid friendly. Worst zoo yet we have been too.

Good place to take the kids. Don't go in the summer on free day. It is crazy on the free day. In my opinion this place prices for every thing is high.

Not bad for a zoo that's been around so long. Close to NY Botanical Garden. Get an ID NY to get a free yr membership.

Good experience for young kids to see different animals. Not much in the way of educational information at any exhibit outside of the standard signs. On hot summer days they need to do a better way to provide transit for families with elderly and carrying young kids. I have not been to this soon in more than a decade but can tell you it's standing compared to other nationally recognized have plummeted! Don't go out of your way to come here!

Bronx zoo is fun place, I've been there 2 time for the last 2 months.

Nice arranged tree lined passage. The different environment is well designed to show the flavor of different geological traits.

Such an amazing zoo! So much to see n do! Loved it n cant wait to go back!

Bronx zoo is great for all family from all over the you go and you, have to take pictures and just enjoy everything it's a big park.

Great place to bring kids. Well laid out. Lovely kiddie area, though there's an extra charge to enter it. Star deducted because of extra charge areas throughout the zoo.

Wide area. Good arrangements. If not free, at least reduce some charges as it is public amenity

I love the Bronx Zoo but the day we went it was SOOOO overcrowded we couldn't really enjoy it.

Beautuful escape from everyday life. Only problem is that it us expensive.

If you visit often, get a membership. Pays for itself by the third visit. The zoo is big and can find things to do year round.

Much to see and do. Nice variety of animals. We went thinking we'd be there 3 hours or so and we spent 5! Greenery needs to be trimmed though! I was ducking under branches and walking around plants growing out into the walkways.

If you want to adventure and explore your visit at the Zoo try the tree top adventure. You will love it.

The Zoo its great. Animals look healthy and active. You will enjoy the dinosaur area. You need more than 1 day to be able to see the hole zoo. Great for all ages.

The food here in the zoo it's very delicious and the best of all was the atention from the people who work here, they were very kind! Also a great variety of animals that was nice!

I went to this Zoo on a wednesday which is for free, I had to pay an extra $10 USD in order to get access to the full package. It's a good deal I had fun with my friends

I went with my church CBS the kids had a great time. Wednesdays is free so it was a madhouse but that didn't take away from the fun.

Kids love visiting the zoo. Especially after being introduce to the new zip lines added. We recently visited for boo at the zoo where they enjoyed a 30 min magic show and also participated in a mini costume parade, and a hat maze

Long walking distances between displays, many were closed, including a major Africa area. Seen better zoos, especially for the price

Although the experience was good, I only saw people walking around with soray bottles and clothes but not cleaning, most places were one way but noone inforced this, the indoor places were open and I enjoyed them however they were crowded and peoole.were rude and did not respect the distance .

It was good weather when I went on a Wednesday.. wasnt too crowded.. it was hugh have to go back another day to see the exhibits that I didnt not get to see..and it was free but being free comes with a price.. couldn't see the gorillas. Had to get ticket for those .. never the less I enjoyed viewing all the other animals e.g. snowy leopard, Tiger , lion, bison, giraffes. Nyala, Dahole, red panda, swans, peacocks, bears .. and many more..

Great place to be with family and friends is a wonderful adventure and learn more about the wild life.

This place is huge!!! Great zoo!! However you need to pay an addition fee for almost every experience

Haven't been to the zoo for about 14 years. Went with my boyfriend for my birthday and it was better than I remembered. I love zoos and I found that this one was very educational with issues that cause animal endangerment which I found very interesting for all ages. Animals all look happy and were healthy. New attractions were in the works. Cant wait to go back

The Animals are nice to look at and feeding the Animals was fun, when I was in Elementary School!
I went over here again with my Mom as an Adult & it was really fun.

Great zoo...nice tall trees providing cool shade so it is e.enjoyable even in this hot weather. Don't pass up the gorilla habitat...well worth extra bucks to enter.

Love this zoo. A bit disappointed with the Xmas lights exhibition.... The lantern area had a line so long we had to leave the line so the kiddos could use the bathroom and it contains more than half the lights from the whole place

It's really a large zoo. We had been there couple of times and it takes lot of time to cover the entire zoo. If it is one day visit, you need to go early to cover most of the places. Weekends it would be really crowded.

The Best Zoo I've ever been in. Hand's down.... I grew up a block for Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport, Connecticut. I even worked there for a short time. But walking into The Bronx Zoo is like walking into the big leagues ......

So much fun! My boyfriend and I went.. he was 30, I was 28. So much to do! They also sell beer, that s a huge plus.

I like it and my kids too.
But be careful if you are going with kids.. the place is so big to cover it all in one day.

The zoo was impressive. Well laid out with a large variety of animals. Gorilla exhibit was well laid out with lots of vantage points. We balked at the nonmember $40 admission fee but it was well worth it. Lots of extras were included like the monorail ride. Bring walking shoes but shuttles are available as well. Tons to see.

I love it it has so much to do it is fun and entertaining and if you get hungry there's a cafe

My favorite zoo. I make the 90 minute drive and it never disappoints. The zoo membership that I got earlier in the year has been my favorite purchase. My only complaint is that food is pricey especially when you are paying for a family (happens everywhere though). My family has made 5 or six trips and the kids always have fun.

Right now as of today 8/1 half of zoo is closed, all indoor animals is closed, no monkeys, no jungleWorld, no reptiles, etc

It might be fun for little kids if they've never seen animals before. It had its ups and downs. Main thing is, the animals were often so far away that I enjoy looking at the photos more than the live animals. Plus, too often, there's required extra payment to see certain animals.

During winter obviously one does not expect all animals to be in exhibit but some that will certainly can be, like a polar bear weren't. They should update such information on their website. Other than that it is a beautiful place with optimal conditions for its animals.

We had a wonderful time. Prepare for a workout, there is so much to see.

Great zoo! It's so big I don't think we got through a quarter of it. I was expecting the crowds in a Sunday to be unbearable, but they were rather lite. Make sure you see the Gorilla exhibit, that was the highlight of our visit.

Always amazing! And now they have added things to do like the trek across area, we love it! Members for 6 years!
