Wonderful! So many animals. ALL in beautiful, well kept habitats!
I haven t been in years and yet the visual of the poor, poor, polar bear still breaks my heart. I can t deny how sad that bear was, sleeping upon the fake rock with little to no water around it and literally no company, no greenery, no life. I am heartbroken and it s been nearly 3 years since I saw that bear. They will soon be an extinct species and that is the way the poor bear is treated, it s absolutely horrible.
Kids loved it. A few exhibits could use some upgrades
One of the greatest zoos around.
Be prepared. Lot to see and lot to walk.
Great place for young and old, very well take care, lots of fun, love it
The zoo was spectacular! Went while it was really cold outside so we were the only ones in the park and it was great.
Nice area for children and to spend time with family, the dinosaur safari was nice,my daughter had a lot of fun.
It was a beautiful day! Also a great deal of exercise, educational fun for all of us. And we know we're coming back again! Soon. Prices too high for just a bottle of water! Smh! I bring my own!
Its a run down smelly place the zoo is on the outside
They have a lot of animals there and food courts, it is a great place to bring your kids.
Nice zoo. But worth it with total experience ticket only
Winter light show summer days , wednesdays free or contribution day (many camps during summer though) but there is always something new to see and visit at the zoo! Never fails to amaze. TONS OF WALKING, SO WEAR COMFY SHOES!
Myself and family came for the first time today. We were very impressed with how friendly the employees were. The zoo was very clean. Happy we came on a weekday!
A beautiful zoo. All the exhibits are layed out with educational fun facts about the animals and conservation. The zoo is large so make sure you leave enough time to walk everywhere. There are a lot of trails which are beautiful to walk on a nice day but it might make you lost from the main path so make sure you are following your map. All animals get put up and the exhibits start to close 30 minutes before closing time so do not count on the time right before closing.
Be sure to check the feeding schedule and you can watch the gorillas, penguins and more at their most active. We purchased the cheaper admission and chose to pay the additional $5 for the gorilla habitat. Lots of things make the Bronx Zoo unique and the newborn gorillas were a big part of it. Be sure to plan for snacks and rest. It's a big zoo!
Nice place to visit and relax. Which has a long walking course to discover
As far as animals its great but you better ear an drink before you get there food is way to damn high $23 bucks for 2hots dogs with fries an $3.50 for a 12 ounce drink ridiculous smdh
Amazing place, but overwhelming. It gets really crowded at times.
I absolutely love this zoo. My baby had so much fun at the petting zoo area. A must go place !
Bronx Zoo is the best zoo I've ever been to.That includes San Diego Zoo.....There's the Bronx Zoo then every other Zoo.
You can't go wrong with this place. Grab few friends and have a blast exploring this huge zoo
Definitely love going to the Bronx Zoo who never go on Wednesdays that's why I'm a member
Dont know why they dont take the cool culture card anymore. That sucks.
We were there for the dinosaur safari. My 3.5 years dinosaur lower son loved it.
Totally worth it to go out into the zoo so cool and had a great time!
Wens days are free and the lines were five blocks long and no parking anywhere must go early! !!!!
Yes, Wednesday's are free, but to see something as basic as gorillas you have to pay 15 dollars for each person. Plus, sometimes you can't even see the animals because they have wondered somewhere out of sight. I do recommend saving about 100 dollars by going Wednesdays but still expect to spend that much.
covering the park takes a lot of walking, plan your visit, and be prepared for rip off prices and at food outlets. the monorail is cool,
The WCS is a wonderful organization established to protect wildlife, having housed and displayed animals now extinct in the wild this organization is dedicated to protecting wildlife. The Bronx Zoo is one of five venues in NYC area dedicated to edcuating the public and future generations about wild life.
The World Conservation Society has memberships that help support this and make it easy to educate your family and friends.
Nice place for kids ,have amazing animal shows and also large number of animal varieties available to ses
Lots to see. Be prepared to walk a lot but it is good for you.
GREAT TIME TO BE WITH THE KIDS ON A NICE DAY WEDNESDAY IS FREE KEEP IN MIN.
Good to go on Wednesday for cheaper tickets
Cool animals and friendly people
Was not overly impressed with the dinosaur Safari. I'm pretty sure it was exactly the same as the dino exhibit they had four years ago. Unimpressive overall.
Great for the kids! Don't go on a Wednesday, it is free admission and very crowded. Buy the annual pass, very worth it!
The Monorail is probably one of the best attractions. You get to see so many animals that you would normally not be able to see with GA. Also the pavilion with the cutest little monkeys and the crazy cool looking type of crocodile and the huge fish are super awesome to see. Only complaint is that they close way too early. Once it hit 5:00 is when it really started to cool down to where we could actually enjoy things and not feel uncomfortable from the heat but other than that it was a very fun experience!
Covid-19 friendly, organize & serious about making our guest feel welcome.
Loved it, we bought the membership which is sooooo worth it.
The Bronx Zoo is one of the best deals in the City! Though they try to sell you the complete experience package admission ticket for 37 dollars, regular general admission is only twenty bucks. A huge amount of all kinds of animals in a fairly naturalistic setting. Way too many things to adequately see in just one day, even without adding all the supplemental activities (and expenses!) Wednesdays are "Pay what you want" day, so even less expensive if you want.
Love this zoo, only downside is that if one purchases the most inexpensive admission ticket one does not get to see everything. In order to see all the exhibits, you have to purchase the Total Experience package, otherwise you'll end up paying $6 here and there to see the fee based exhibits. Arrive early to see all at zoo, if late you'll miss out since most animal exhibits start putting the animals away at 4:30 PM when zoo closes at 5 PM.
The Bronx Zoo was nice and clean it had those two respectable people there and the animals will old looking good and healthy it was a good experience
The bronx zoo is an exciting place to be, great for kids and for everyone's enjoyment.
Nice and big with fantastic attractions. Food was pretty average but what do you expect from a zoo. Wasn't busy during the winter but still was able to see all the animals
Really fun and educational place for adults and children
WAY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT IT IS. EVEN AT HALF PRICE IS TOO MUCH.
I haven't been here in many years and it has changed a lot, mostly for the better. I do miss the SkyRail, however.
It's a great place doing good work. Late in season the shuttle and monorail are closed, and cool weather will make some animals less active or not come out at all, but the indoor exhibits are very good.
I love the Bronx Zoo great animals great food just and amazing time, took the family just to have some out door fun.
All the animals were cool and I enjoyed bieng there everyone is nice
A great little sanctuary of nature nestled in the city prepare to walk a lot . It is spread out the exhibits are very good it can get quite busy
It's the summer it's Wednesday it's free and it's one of the best zoo's in the world !
The wife and kids had a blast ! Beautiful place
It is really good but some of the animals weren't out this month and the polar bear isn't there because it had gotten euthanized but overall it is really fun
Always seeing all the animals. Always a fun family adventure
Great zoo with lots to see. Watching the sea lions being fed was fun and interesting. There is a good mix of indoor and outdoor exhibits and many of the indoor exhibits allow strollers but some do require you to park outside. The carousel ride was fun for the kids too.
Also: They do allow outside food and there is plenty of chill spots for a picnic in case you don't want to spend more money on food.
Best zoo ever! Lots of exhibits. Staff is extremely helpful.
The Bronx Zoo is ideal for family to share time exploring some of the worlds most unique animals. The wildlife preservation makes this amazing experience possible for all of the public aside from making children happy.
I went on a FREE WEDNESDAY, general admission only. I paid additional so I could see Congo.
First, it was very easy to get there by subway. After getting off, it was only about a 10 minute walk and there were signs to the zoo.
It took me about 4 hours to see everything as the zoo was not crowded. I suggest going when kids are in school.
The staff there are super friendly and attentive. I even enjoyed their over priced food as it was part of the experience. You can bring your own food as they don't check your bags.
The only thing I was upset with, Tundra the polar bear passed away so I didn't get to see her. Other than that, what a way to enjoy a day with the family or friends.
Boogie down Bronx. The celebrity meet and greet was awesome!
Good size zoo but too many things were an extra charge.
Great place, but be prepared to walk a lot. It's huge!!
Don't go on a hot day. Free on Wednesday but you'll have to pay the parking.
Incredible experience fun for both the young and young at heart
The bird exibit was exquisite. They had many different selections and even had human sized birds. The rest of zoo was aight but let's be honest everybody goes just for the birds. The giraffes are also very cool and majestic however I wondered why they were in the bird exhibit.
A wonderful place where animals have much more space than in a normal zoo
It's one of the favorite place, my son likes to go. Parking is sometimes a pain and the line to get in is always long before noon. The zoo is very big and it's really hard to see all the animals and enjoy your time in one visit. If you have children, check the children petting zoo, so much fun. Food is a little expensive for what you get but i guess they need to make money too. Overall, we love going to the zoo .
Great family spot. A little on the expensive side. You are better off buying the annual membership if you have large family. The membership is also good at the Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo and NY Aquarium. Give you places to visit throughout.
Great place! Be sure to pick up a map and plan your visit as there is a lot to see.
It's fun for the whole family. There is alot of walking involved.
It is a bit expensive there but if you go there on a Wednesday, it's free. Bring your own food or you could buy there at a higher rate. The children enjoyed it. They even have a zoo quest and my boys made me walk around until they finish the quest. We had fun and plenty of photos. One thing, go early or the line will be long since it's free many people tend to go.
