It was Amazing. I get to see a whole lot of amazing and talented animals. I would go there all the time if I could.

Must make reservations. And only way to reserve for free Wednesday visit is Monday's at 5pm.
We Had the greatest time In comfort. Their cleanliness was very on point they wipe every thing after we use it train... carousel... theres markings to direct and try to control social distancing
And best of all they had antibacterial everywhere especially exiting every exhibition. Bathroom was also pretty clean.
Most importantly my sons agenda of seeing flamingos, giraffes, elephants, zebra and rhinoceros was accomplished.
My 4 year old can't thank me enough.
And I appreciate the bronx zoo for their strong efforts of keeping everyone safe.

Loved everything! a lot of walking though so be prepared. I was a little disappointed I went on a Monday & a few exhibits weren t open & some animals were inside. Wish they would ve told us that at the gate wasted extra money for no reason. Food is very expensive, BESIDES THAT- it was an amazing experience way better petting zoo. A wider variety of animals all together better than the queens zoo by 1,000!!

It the perfect zoo to see nature at its best. The Dinosaur trail is amazing.

Its always a pleasure to visit, it feels as if you're out of the city when walking through the zoo.

Tips

Go one Wednesday when it's free.

Arrive early because this place gets super crowded!

Be prepared to walk because this place is huge!

Be prepared to spend most of your day here because there's a lot of great stuff to see! My favorites were the seals and the lemurs.

Don't let the the map confuse you. It doesn't have north at the top, which totally threw me off. Just ask for help because everyone was friendly!

I definitely want to go back with more time so I can see everything!

Haven't been here in awhile. Looks so far like a good experience. People here are very nice and helpful. Having a good time.

Is good for the kids...I like the train that show you everything. Customer service is Just nice.

I love this zoo. There is so much to see! It is clean. The congo is my favorite exhibit. You must have the full zoo experience pass. Great for families, great for kids.

Huge zoo. Great animal displays. The kid area was nice too. Gift shops were not too pricey. Will definitely return.

I didn't go through the entire place because I had a flight to catch but the exhibits I did went ( birds, tiger, red panda, deer, and lion) was very informative. Very kid friendly and most people was in their Halloween costume enjoying their day. Impressed by how there's no glass in some bird displays. The train that goes around the zoo is free if you show them your pass.

Zoos normally freak me out but this is so big and beautiful you feel like you are a guest in the animals world!

It gets two stars for having friendly staff out front to answer questions. Never made it inside because of the three hour waiting line to get in on a day when it s supposed to be FREE to get in. They still make you go to the ticket booth to get tickets. When you waste peoples time it is NOT FREE. Obviously, the Bronx Zoo needs to reevaluate how they let people in on the free days.

Beautiful place which such interesting animals. The animals habitat are beautiful and we'll maintained.

Amazing for kids and adults tons of fun experiences

Great place for families, friends, and your significant other! So many animals to see and easy to get to. Just a bus ride away from Flushing brings you there. With the new ID NYC card, I was able to get a free membership for a year! Definitely worth it since it also includes admission to most of the other zoos in the other boroughs.

Free on Wednesdays, donation optional (please give something) ... get there early... pay $15 for the "total experience" and enjoy all the COOL exhibits... my girls did the Carousel twice, the monorail, the butterfly trail, the congo Gorilla forest, Jungle world, and the canopy paths through the trees (COMPLETELY AWESOME)... Each experience would have been $6/person... I saved $60... pack a lunch, you can live w/our $10 burgers and $9 chicken fingers... comfortable shoes, water, and sunblock is a must... oh yeah, all the traditional exhibits are still really cool as well...enjoy!!

Love the Bronx Zoo and its many events offered throughout the year.

I really liked the zoo but definatly DO NOT go in winter. what a fail

This visit was my first visit to a zoo and I am happy I went somewhere that animals feel like they are home. For those who have children it could be a one day adventureous ,educational trip. Don't forget strollers for your kids, otherwise they can't enjoy much. I really enjoyed Madagascar part. Remember animals are asleep at noon especially lion, bears and snow leopard so try to be there sooner. Additionally it is free on Wednesdays.

Very clean grounds. Wish I saw more animals but they were tired. A must do.

Its a great place for kids as well as adults. Wish they have easy signs for walking. It takes vast amount of walking to cover the areas. The restaurants/cafe's are super expensive. A regular cone Ice cream cost $4.99? Seriously ?

Wednesday's are free so of course it's going to be crowded. The petting zoo is interactive and fun for all ages. The monorail is a relaxing break to sit and travel over a portion of the "Asia" section. Don't forget to check out the Butterfly Garden.

If anybody want to visit bronx zoo Wednesday is better to go. Because that day u can only look around free but u won't able to get ride like dinosaur tour, Asian train ride. But if u want to pay for those ride Wednesday is better from other days, only this day they give u discounts. It's good for children. Here u can see any kind of animal.

The Bronx zoo is one of the best zoos in the country. There is no admission charge on Wednesday. There are rides throughout the zoo and a petting zoo. It is huge and you could spend several days here. Have fun.

Animal exhibits are great! The map isn't the easiest to follow and took us a while to figure it out direction. Strollers can be rented which is great. The food selection is pretty bad but it seems like people can take their own. They also serve beer which is nice. Riding camels was the highlight and reasonably priced! It's a very short lol but perfect for smaller children.

Absolutely loved it! It's so large, you really need 2 days to see everything in it's full experience! I went during the colder months so not everything was out and I still wasn't able to see all the animals. You can tell they love and care for the animals, as well as the guest. I would suggest bringing a lunch as the prices are a bit steep, and aren't very filling- they did allow me to bring chips in so I would double check to see if the rules have changed!

Free on Wednesdays. But spend some money buying snacks & beverages. You'll Love The Bronx Zoo.

I remember going as a kid and it was great but it's just to much now, the lines are way too long and I on saw 1 animal the whole time being there

My son LOVES this place! We enjoy it so much everytime we visit. The staff is always helpful. We'll be going back for Boo at the Zoo 2018!

Excellent place to visit! It s so big you don t even realize it s crowded. My little nephews loved the Dinosaur Safari. Besides the difficulties entering the zoo by car it s a fantastic zoo. Thank you for raising animal awareness! I also love your tv show!

My daughter had a significant nose bleed and all staff on the attraction we were on, and the nurse on hand (6/5 2:05pm) were helpful, supportive, and wonderful in assisting my daughter and I. The monorail was a lovely tour.

Very large zoo. Rarely crowded depending on when you go. Lots of animals and beautiful pathways.

I've been going to the zoo since I was a little girl , the exhibits haven't changed in 20+years . My favorite exhibit is the World of Birds .

Gorillas, owls, avary, seals, rhino, massive boas, bears, and so much more. I love visiting with friends or by myself with a camera to take time and focus on capturing the wild.

Beautiful park to take the kids, they let you walk with beers, and there is a kids petting zoo as well. Fun day with the kids.

The high star reviews musthave gotten really lucky, because this place is a complete joke. The zoo is huge and could be great, but every time ive gone not even half the animals were in there habitats...rip off.

Love the zoo! Indoor exhibits closed due to social distancing. People good with wearing masks. Great time!

Bronx Zoo is always awesome specially with company, they have a wide variety of show during the day. It's a awesome place if you like to walk it's so big. Also if you end up by Fordham Rd, The Botanical Garden is next door and you can tell by the fragrance of the flowers.

Best zoo in nyc. Not as big as some of the other world class zoos but overall very nice.

I loved the Bronx zoo! I went with my best friend and her little sister here. We loved the zoo monorail! But the only thing that is negative about the Bronx zoo was that some exhibits were closed. But the Bronx zoo is a great place for children and adults of all ages!

Absolutely the BEST Zoo I've ever been to!!! The animal look healthy, well taken care of and happy. Considering is a Zoo it was super clean and the staff very helpful and friendly.

The zoo is very nice but I didn't find any toilet and suffered :(
