Wonderful experience, very nice zoo with lot of facilities, its very difficult to write it as review. So I put it very simple its really superb. Its very difficult to cover everything in one day. They can think of increasing shuttle service pick up and drop locations, maps can be improved with distance between locations. Must visit place with kids.

The bronx zoo is an educational and fun place for the entire family to visit. Employees are very well trained both in park and animal knowledge. Definitely z place for the entire family to enjoy themselves. Accessible and caters to all.

Zoo visit was wonderful.

Zoo visit was wonderful.
Limits on the number of people allowed and requirement of reservations made the visit very pleasamt.
Staff was helpful and the animals were cooperative!
We saw the Madagascar, mouse house, giraffes, gorillas and the seals. Be aware that a number of exhibits are closed.
No paper maps available, but link to zoo site is provided.
Disinfection stations are copious and many paths are one way onlupook

The Bronx zoo has so many cool animals to see! Definitely worth going to. The animals you see here are different from the Central Park Zoo or Prospect Park Zoo. This place is huge so don t expect to see it all in one day. Start with the monorail and a tram
Ride around the property before you do anything else. The food court is open. The place is busier than I thought. So wear your masks for your safety and the animals.

This zoo definitely has a lot of animals to see. We went at 11am and left at 5p and still didnt get to see the whole zoo so we have to go another day.I wish there were shows of some sort to learn more about the animals. It would have been a great way to relax from all the walking and enjoy a show with the family. The tiger exhibit was also a hit sad along with the cheetah. There was only 1 of each.I was a little disappointed about the butterfly garden. My niece had been talking about butterflies for days and we finally got to go to the garden and literally only saw 2 butterflies flying around. It was such a let down and my niece looked so sad. For a place called butterfly garden there should have been a bunch.

Had a wonderful time. We were lucky to see the tigers, lions and bears out in the open. The ultimate experience tickets are a bit pricey.

Note, the 4d theater experience is horrible. Al the 3d glasses are scratched and the employees are rude.

The animals have very interesting reading. It.was crowded but at least everyone gets an opportunity to view whatever they wants to view. I like the fact that on a Wednesday it is free except for the amusements only a donation is needed for the care of the animals. Very good experience for the family alot of walking one will stay healthy.

CAUSE WHEN LEAVING I GOT STUCK TRYING TO LEAVE PARK THERE ARE "NO" WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY EXITS & THERE'S "NO" SIGN THAT SAY "PLEASE NOTIFY STAFFERS WHEN EXITING PARK IF YOU ARE IN WHEELCHAIR" & I ASKED IF IT'S OK FOR ME TO EXIT WITH MY SCOOTER IN THE SOUTHERN BLVD EXIT & 3 WORKERS SAID "YES" - THATS UNACCEPTABLE!

My favorite zoo! On Wednesday it is pay what you wish donation, so you only have to pay for parking. Get ready to walk alot, since the ground is not a flat surface, it is alot of walking up and down hills. From those handicap, use a scooter or wheelchair, they are limited with rentals, so do your best to bring your own.

One of the best zoological parks visited. All the staff are very organized, friendly and helpful. The new dinosaur safari is amazing with animatronics convincingly making you believe that the dinos are real. Great place for kids and the 'kid' in the adults!! Be sure to get the total experience ticket to not miss out on any attractions.

Large zoo with large amounts of fun and variety of animals!! It is hard not to come back and it's also hard to see everything in one visit! The exhibits are nicely done and very natural, especially in the Jungle World!

I'm third grader.I give five stars because there was a lot of fun activities and we saw a lot of my favorite animals. When it's lunch time, there is a lot delicious snacks like popcorn and I hope you enjoy!

Great experience and being in the Zoo felt I'm in the mountain or jungle not in the city. It's a whole different world once you go in. Staffs are helpful. And lots of great animal exhibit

It was a great experience for the entire family. Firstly it is one of the largest zoos I have seen. It takes an entire day to visit this place. It is located in a very well wooded area and makes you feel like you are on a real animal safari. Many of the spaces where the animals are kept are open and not in cages where it is possible. There is a good food court with several options. I will have to make a few more visits to cover the entire place. I will probably visit here many times even after I cover this place.

One of the most innovative zoos in the country or in the world. Haven t been there in several years but the last time I was there, I went to Congo Gorilla Forest exhibit which I hadn t seen before and the Madagascar exhibit and of course the Wild Asia monorail which is one of the zoo s most popular attractions.

Now this is a zoo! Way better than San Diego ,Henry Doorly ,Columbus etc those zoos all have something outdated or small on their grounds this one has 0. This zoo also has a just WOW collection. With tons of great exhibits that are all spacious and naturalistic. Only problem is the decreasing of exhibits like rare animal range, world of darkness, monkey house, the skyfari, Amazing amphibians, the blesbook and Arabian Oyrex exhibit to. Not to mention hippos Sumatran rhinos and, others. Still a great zoo that is the best in the world But, there needs to be a new exhibit added sooner or later because if this keeps repeating the zoo will go to rot.

It is always entertaining and fascinating to see animals in a zoo...especially in a good condition, as this zoo seems to be.The Bronx zoo can be overwhelming, unless you have the whole day, food, and the weather allows unrushed walks. We went there on a super hot summer free -admission Wednesday and the crowd and heat chased us out after 2 hours. Even animals were hiding from this commotion
So choose cool days and plan your route wisely and the Bronx zoo will be a great adventure. Giraffes rule!

The walkways in the zoo are well planned with plenty of shade available on them during hot sunny days.
The Congo exhibit is very popular. The gorrilas are always up for entertaining visitors.
The Asia monorail is another fabulous exhibit.

Very nice zoo you must go with Family, don't forget every Wednesday general entry is free. I will suggest to purchase shuttle pass so you can cover maximum zoo as zoo is spread across 250+ acres.

Great place, haven t been in years but still looks good. Went during the week bc of less people but still summer time they only had one or two places open for food and drinks and that was frustrating bc we had the free refill cup we got that day and unable to refill bc every stand was closed. Most animals were asleep tho :(

Great zoo. Nearest subway station needs an elevator or a ramp in a big way. 13 flights of stairs with a stroller (and no way to comment on the map item fir the station) is no fun. Crazy too that you have to venture here to activate the idnyc membership. Also a shame that is only good for the holder and no kids.

Been visiting this zoo since I was 5 years old. Kind of a trip taking my 7 year old daughter for the first time. Still a great place for kids, but be ready to shell out buku dollars. Cost $108 for me, my wife and my daughter just for the admission fee.

Very disappointed most animals were fakes like the alligators and snakes and in some spaces there were any type of animals. Also they advertise that on Wednesday's is free but still we're charging to be able see some real animals

It rarely gets any better than this. Carve out an entire day and take your time. If you don't see the animals on the first run, return later in the day and you'll probably spot them. Great number of diverse animals with lots to do and see. A must if you are in NYC.

First time at the Bronx Zoo was wonderful. There is so much to do. So many exhibits and animals to see. There's a kids area where they can let and feed animals, great walk through exhibits, plenty to see and do. It's overall so large, which makes for a lot of walking but also keeps it from feeling overly busy even with a lot of people. Food options a clustered, so means may need to double back at lunch time.

It is a nice space to learn about animals and nature in general, but it can get pricy (which is understandable given the work the zoo does) especially if you want Total Experience. However, if you have a IDNYC you can get general access for free. You would need to enter through Southern Boulevard to activate a complimentary annual membership.

Our fav zoo and a great workout walking with the kids here
We love the train ride (seasonal) and the camel ride. There are mini shows that run here esp in summer that include story telling, puppet shows and short skits that are informative and entertaining for kids.. expect to have a fun day here! :)

Wear comfortable shoes. This is a huge zoo. If there is something you want to see make sure you check their website before you go. The maintain the exibits and often close exhibits temporarily for this reason. There is always a lot to see.

I go to NY multiple times a year and after watching the Bronx Zoo on animal planet, I decided to go. You will not be disappointed. Alot of walking is really the only bad thing I could say. There are alot of places to sit down to take a little rest if needed.
