Wow, what a beautiful zoo it was ! My 4 years daughter loved tractor ride at children zoo and she just loved tree house and walked twice over wobbling rope bridge and was asking for more. If you want to visit that place so plan it for 2 days as one day was bit insfuccient for us. There are so many exhibit at zoo and all need to deserve big star..Overall, I would like to give 5 star rating to this place.

Love this place. Always something new to discover every time I visit. I have purchased the 1 year membership pass and it's one of my best investment so far. Me, my wife and both children visit every other weekend and every visit is always something new that we have not discovered. I will be buying the pass again when it expires in 1 year

The zoo is awesome for members. Non members will find it quite expensive for a meaningful visit. With small kids, we usually spend a couple of hours for a quick full loop of the place. Love the sea lions and tigers when they're out.

Based exclusively on this particular visit, I have to blast the zoo and its managing agency, The Wildlife Conservation Society. I visited just before New Year's Day, an admittedly very cold off day in otherwise always bustling New York. I did not expect to see the lions and giraffes walking around or the zebras grazing, but these people opened up the place, charged full admission and pretty much had nothing happening. They charged extra admission to their Congo exhibit and when we got to the indoor gorilla exhibit -- well, the zoo keepers decided they couldn't be bothered even notifying the attendant in the admissions booth of the Congo Exhibit. There was a lone Komodo Dragon that looked about as bored as we did, reptilian admissions seemed to be the order of the day.

We recently visited here with a group of friends and our little ones. I always forget how massive this place is. It was a very hot day, but there was no shortage of fun. It was fun seeing the kids reactions to all of the animals (elephants, bears, tigers, monkeys, gorillas...) The funniest part was watching the bears fight over the little pond they shared. The best part was seeing how well cared for all the animals seem to be. It was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to visit again!

We loved it, my twins were having a great time.
The only thing is that now during the pandemic, people still don't seem to care much about Social Distancing. I think the zoo should have a person in each
exhibit to control for how long or at least try to tell people to keep moving. Because there was a lot of people looking at the same animal for a long time and we couldn't go and see because people wouldnt move.

But apart of this everything was so nice, so clean. We did had fun. I love this Zoo, it'll always be my favorite one.

As always had a blast with my family. Definitely recommend this zoo. They have plenty of animals to show and they are taking the proper precaution with Covid. Employees are professionals and extremely helpful.

I have been coming to the Bronx Zoo since I was two years old. I m 66 now. I was very impressed by Deborah M on the tram today. All the times I ve been coming, here she was one of the most pleasant and informative people that I have met. She is seasonal but I feel she should be made full time. Her nature and mannerisms were outstanding. Also there should be a pickup spot near the World Of Birds. Thanks.

It was a nice zoo but the general admission doesn't pay for much. You end up having to pay more to see special areas that from my experiences are normally included in the general zoo. Maybe it's just me but when the attendant tells me u need to purchase the more expensive tickets because the general ones only includes about 25% of the zoo there's a problem. It could be the fact that I'm spoiled by the free zoo in DC but I don't think that's the case. I've been to a variety of zoos through out the US. Over all still had a nice experience and the animals were very active in the morning when we went. Lion, Tigers and Bears oh my!

Great Time on a Conestoga Bus Trip. Grand Daughter especially enjoyed the Children Zoo and Nature Trex area. Most on our bus had a good time and enjoyed the variety of animals. Two suggestions: The maps are hard to follow. Better signage or color code areas. No signs for areas that were filmed from Secrets of the Zoo. My wife and I recognized TV show spots. Think highlighting those area would be positive.

They spent more or creating themes rather than bringing more animals or animal showing. not a good zoo compare to others in states. You have to walk miles and its impossible to cover the all zoo in one day. Yes parking prices are higher. No its not free on wednesdays they give you discount only due to all animals are not available for showing.

Wonderful zoo! Things you should keep in mind. The food is terrible. There arent any healthy options for kids (just in case you prefer that). We did not find water refilling stations anywhere either. Apparently they are right there.. So just carry an extra bottle of water in case you dont find one.

We went on a Wednesday for the free admission. We really enjoyed the time and even though the line seemed long to get in, it went quickly. I would recommend getting the all access pass for $15.00. There were a few things we would have liked to do like the Congo gorrilla exibit and the tree house. But it is a really nice zoo.

Our daughter went there for a couple of years to their camp and internship programs. Excellent program and learning experiences but the traveling back and forth everyday was annoying. You do what you can for your kids. It s always good to do this with a friends so sharing the drive won t be too bad.

So amazing and the animals are adorable. People are just savages. Wish more people remembered (or cared to remember) how to wait their turn. So much pushing and shoving not only from children but adults as well.

I would have loved this place if I did not have the luxury of growing up 15 minutes away from the San Diego Zoo. I loved how many birds there were! But my friends were not interested, as I think a lot of people are. The butterfly walk was so great though.

This the first time in my life I was disappointed with the zoo alot of animals have died ex: Panthers, polar bears, the large turtles moved, things that were Free on Wednesdays you pay for no trams until June, no train that take you around etc. I'm 55 and wanted my grandkids to enjoy what my kids and I enjoyed every I went to the zoo. Now it's better to watch it on T.V you may see a little more.So disappointed donated to see hardly anything and I just told someone to go there. My Grandkids will never get to enjoy what we once did Heart broken!

It's a good place to go to spend family time but if so of the stuff there wasn't that much money people would have more fun. Overall its a good place to go and hangout with friends and family.

I would love to give a 5 , but every exhibit we went to. The interactive feature were broken. Buttons did nothing and no one to ask. Overall it is 100% worth it, plan on going again.. just wish someone with more money than me can donate and fix what they have..

I just love going to places which stand as a contradiction to the concrete jungle of NYC. One of them is the Bronx Zoo. The staff is very friendly (Also their customer service) and the place is refreshing. But still, it is a place that lock animals, so it can never get 5 stars from me ;)
Oh, and never go when it is cold, you will miss a lot.

I was kind of disappointed couldn't ride the Mona rail so I couldn't see a good portion of the animals and the zoo just seemed in a state of sad disrepair some of the buildings didn't look like they were open or had anything in them but they did and some of the enclourse for the bigger animals were too small they couldn't move around at all I've been watching the show on TV and had hoped things were better but they didn't make alot of improvements and they have some much empty space they could use to make some better enclosures I don't know why they don't they charge you enough money to get it shouldn't b an issue

It is a perfect Sunday activity. My husband and I took our 1 year old and had a lot of fun. Wear comfortable shoes cause you will be walking a lot. They do have a cafe and coffee place inside and restrooms. You can also bring your own drinks and food if you want.

A spectacular collection of over 6oo different species is waiting to be discovered. I enjoyed especially the birds house where you can wander trough tropical rain forests and hear the birds sing.
