I visited Bronx Zoo this summer towic, the second time was on Wednesday and it was a bad idea, if you want to enjoy don't go on Wednesday. The first visit, which was not on Wednesday, was great experience for me and my family. We plan

The best zoo you're gonna get out of NY but if you aren't showing up literally right at opening you're missing attractions and that's a big hit to your wallet if you're getting those 40 dollar passes to view only half the place.

Really enjoyed it. It's pretty big so nearly impossible to see everything in one visit. We were there Sat. 9/14 and it was overcast and low 70s (perfect weather!) so it wasn't very crowded. We moved through pretty quicky and we saw probably got to see 80-90%. Will go again sometime.

Had my first Wild Encounter today at the Bronx Zoo and I can not express enough how wonderful the entire experience was. The staff was so friendly and amazing. We went to the cheetah encounter as a surprise birthday present for mom and the staff helped to keep it a surprise to the last minute. Needless to say she loved it and everyone went above and beyond to make it a special event. We can not wait to go back and participate in another wild encounter, meeting the animals was an experience unto itself. It gives you a new appreciation for the animals and the trainers and all the great work WCS does. Everyone should go to a Wild Encounter at least once.

As an animal lover, I go to this zoo quite often. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can find them all over the park and they will gladly answer any questions about the animals, or teach you something new. It's a nice day trip. It's huge, but the setting is beautiful as you make your way through the zoo. There are many different events throughout the year for families and some for adults only. Daily activities change throughout the year. It's worth checking out at Christmastime, just bundle up because it's cold. I suggest that you bring a stroller for the little ones because it's a LOT of walking. If you have grandparents or elderly people in your group, you may want to get a wheelchair/scooter because there are also a lot of inclines as you walk. You get a good workout in after spending the day!

Went to the Holiday Lights experience and it was FANTASTIC!! Members get 40% of tickets and it was still worth the price of admission! Kids were enthralled with everything. The lantern walk is a phenomenal photo opportunity and worth waiting in line for (line moves quick) everything else was also done well! Didn't even feel bad about paying 6$ to toast a marshmallow ;)

Great settings, and good variety of animals. But not pleasant to be stopped at various attractions to be charged extra. Rather have cheaper tickets overall with option to apply for discounts, and to control crowd levels - require booking in advance with some first come first serve options. Also make all these options extremely obvious.

The zoo is great considering it's in the Bronx which is it's own Jungle. There is a shuttle which quickly brings you all over the park and there are lots of activities for kids and adults of all ages. A pretty good size zoo and a family can spend a whole day here.

Loved visiting the Bronx zoo. Timed entry tickets limit crowds by a lot, the southern boulevard parking lot was not even a third full on a Saturday. There were instructions everywhere for enabling social distancing with instructors reminding everyone to maintain distance. 99% of the crowd wore masks, kids included. We felt safe and unexposed the whole time we were there. Our 17month old loved everything, particularly the children's zoo. Though all the indoor exhibits like the Madagascar, world of reptiles were closed, there was still a lot to enjoy. Boy, what a fun day!

The Holiday Lights offered a chance to create some Seasonal Cheer during this very different Holiday! The very colorful Giraffes are mesmerizing! The "Smore Stations" at the end is a great idea! The fire pits, roasting marshmallows, getting toasty, is perfect set up for socially distancing appearing more normal!! Only disappointment was almost entire park was in white lights. It was dazzling, but more color would have created more excitement and "wonder".

Love this zoo but pretty soon with all the exhibits they keep adding it may take more than one day to see it all. I think it's well worth the price. We usually bring our own drinks and food from home because the food prices are too much.

After living in the city for more than a decade, I finally made a day visit to the Bronx Zoo. What a delightful visit featuring many animals and creatures from around the world to learn about. Fortunately most walking paths are under the shade making for an enjoyable walk on a hot summer day. Be sure to arrive early in the day if you plan to cover all areas as the grounds are expansive.

I went to see the holiday lights. The lantern animals were so beautiful! And it was a few days after the snowstorm so it was even prettier. I loved watching the ice sculptor, it was a unique experience. The bat puppeteer was hilarious! Everyone was really nice and welcoming.

Considering that it's in the Bronx, it was neat. Its not like people say. Its definitely something you must experience. One other thing i really like was that its close to. And Besides it being close to home. The zoo staff are very friendly and the zoo is very clean.

Great place. Lot of Exhibits. Love the place. Lions..tigers..elephants..reptiles you name it. It is like real jungle...nice monorail..nice shuttle..affordable tickets..very educational. Only think I did not like it using camels for raiding..ever for adults..please stop camel raids ..or keep it for little kids.
Congo Gorilla exhibit..Asia jungle arr the best. One day is not enough to cover ..

Best zoo ever. Lots of great animals, rides for the kids and places to sit down because there is a lot of walking. Skip the kiosks that sell food. Eat at the main restaurant. Lots more healthy choices.

The best zoo in the world. We are members. Disappointed that I didn't check the opening date for the Bengali Express, we were a week early. We went into Jungle World since we walked all the way to Wild Asia. Our membership includes entry to there, as well as the Congo and Children's Zoo. We did go to Congo that day too.
The new thing for this season is the Dinosaur Safari. It was too crowded so we went back the next day and waited just as long as it had been the day before. It wasn't so bad. We had been through the whole zoo the day before so didn't feel like we were missing doing other things by standing in line for an hour and 20 minutes. And it's the only thing at the zoo that our membership didn't include.
I didn't have high expectations of the attraction. Was pleasantly surprised. The animatronic dinos were great. It rained while we went through it, kind of made it more authentic..

An oasis in a busy city. Calm and peaceful with loads of trails through the park. Definitely a must see even if you don't have the time to experience everything. The Christmas lights were unlike anything I've ever seen before and the tree as the centerpiece was truly something to behold for the performance and display of stories in light within it's branches. Be prepared for lots of walking and if it's cold outside, definitely dress warmly as there are few places to duck into to warm up.
