We ate at the restaurant and had a terrible experience. We came as a party of 11. Our friends just got married and made a reservation in advance online for the wedding party. A confirmation was never sent to the bride. She had to call to confirm they still had our reservation locked in.We went to eat and off the bat I knew things would go wrong. Our server asked if we needed menus, did not ask if it was our first time eating there (it was), and did not make sure to address the whole table when giving information. I had to ask other members of the table what was being said. Next, we ordered food. I have to say, the menu is very pricey for what they offered and it is pretty limited. Most of our party ordered burgers (priced at $18) including my boyfriend. I ordered the short rib ravioli (priced at $36). My boyfriend and I also ordered two appetizers. Now they told us that food comes out as it is ready. Okay, understandable especially when the kitchen area did not look large enough to hold orders. While we waited for our food, my boyfriend asked for straws from our server. She never brought them. He had to get up out of his seat to retrieve another server to deliver us straws after waiting for 10 minutes. Mind you, the restaurant was not busy. I saw staff standing around the bar chit chatting. Okay so my food starts to come out first. The server continued to deliver my plates to the other side of the table. Super frustrating. So I start to eat in order to clear space for our entrees. They bring out my dinner first. For a $36 plate, I expect two things: either plenty of food or a flavorable dish. My dinner was neither of those. I have no problems paying well over that amount for a dish. What I do have a problem with is when it's bland AND I get a 4oz piece of braised short rib with only TWO pieces of ravioli. I asked for salt and pepper to make the meal passable. Okay so everyone starts to get their food. My boyfriend's burger was undercooked. He ordered medium well, they gave him medium-medium rare. He also commented on how bland it was. Another person's burger had way too much pepper. As we eat, I notice our server (or any other for that matter) never came to check on us or refilled our waters. The person with too much pepper on his burger had no water to drink. I also ended up not having water. My boyfriend attempted to flag down a waiter twice (quite loudly) and we were ignored. Others at the table ended up giving us THEIR waters because no one showed up. Finally, after everyone was pretty much finished with their meals, the waitress comes over and asks how the food was. My boyfriend mentions his burger was undercooked and I tell her my food was "Meh, okay" to which she replies "Oh, okay." At that point I ask for refills for the entire table. In our party, we had someone pregnant who unfortunately had an adverse reaction to the smell of the food she ordered. The took that meal off and she ordered Mac n Cheese and Vegetables. They bring her a bowl of shells in a cheese sauce and... wait for it... A BOWL OF PEAS. The hell?? Okay - so we get the bill. They billed us on ONE check and tell us that they don't split checks. Um...no one thought to inform us of this? So we speak to the server and let her know that had we KNOWN this, people may have ordered differently. The server tells us to figure out how to split the checks ourselves so she can put it into the computer. WHAT? On top of that, they automatically added a 22% gratuity to our check?? I think not. So we request to speak to a manager. The "manager" tells us that on the BOTTOM OF THE MENU is where we are informed of the check policy. Oh - I had no idea there was a TERMS OF CONDITION we needed to read to dine there. Wow. She also completely disregarded all of the other issues (named above) that we explained to her. So they finally split our checks (still did it wrong by billing food on incorrect checks). No apologies, nothing. We promptly left without purchasing items from the store (including bottles of bourbon and souvenirs that we intended to purchase).
