They got me in and out same day for multiple repairs, they were honest about what repairs could wait, and they had a place for me to drop my 49 foot gooseneck trailer.
Was quoted over $300 to get my drivers side mirror replaced in my Ford. Went and bought it brand new for $64.00 off of Amazon and did it myself. Don t get ripped off.
Every time I go I spend 4-500$. labor rates at $150 per hour. That's more than our senior structural engineer billable rates at my firm. People are friendly and work efficiently. Just prices are tough to get around.
I just had a good experience buying a truck from here. Having not bought a new vehicle since 1997, Josh Tenney took the time to sit in truck with me and go over all the features of a modern, electronics filled, vehicle. Josh provided a smooth, accurate purchase with financing alternatives to achieve the best deal.
Really disappointed I had to give one star they don't even deserve that. Went in to have a misfire fixed they charged me for head gasket and cam $11,000 back in November. Truck sat all winter started misfiring this summer in the same cylinder it went for November. Come to find out they charged me for a wire harness and the install but never put it in. Cost me 6 days downtime over a mistake they made.
Went to pick up special ordered tires, with an appointment. Called at 3 o clock, to confirm. Arrived at 3:20 and parts guy went home and nobody else was able to assist. Told wouldn't be able to get the tires till Monday. Very poor way to run things. Will likely be taking our business elsewhere in the future
We called all over Minneapolis to schedule an oil change for our 25' Class C motorhome. They got us in quickly and it was only $40!!!! Camping World charges over $150. EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I was a little hesitant based on a couple of the reviews. But, didn't have many options for my C-Class Motorhome with E450 Ford Chassis. I can say our expectations were greatly exceeded. The facility is very nice and they had several other RV's already there for service. I was expecting it to take several days, but they literally called me the next day after quickly identifying a short in my exterior lights, doing recall work on the tranny module and they also fixed a severed airbag wire caused during after market seats installed. The only charge was for the non warranty airbag wire repair. We were so pleased that I will be bringing our coach there for its next required service. Far better experience than the unprofessional atmosphere I encountered at another local Ford Car dealership. And Boyer is more appropriate anyway for big rigs.
Approximately the 9-5-2013 Boyer Ford put a transmission in my truck ,then on 11-4-2013 I brought my truck to them to fix a cold start problem and they put new windshield wiper motor and told me that they fixed the cold start issue. I brought the truck home it sat for 2 days then I tried to start it { outside temp was 46 degrees } did not start until I plugged it in. when I called about it they gave me the run around. I asked to talk to a manager they said no one was there. I did not have the time I needed to go to work { 11-6-2013 the west side of ND and they knew that} on the way my truck ran like S**T so I called them again this time I was Pissed off it ended up costing me twice as much in gas. On my way back 11-29-2013 on highway 61 going east driving 70mph I hear a bang looked in my rear view mirror there's my drive shaft in the middle of a 3 lane hwy. I walked back picked it up put in the bed of the truck and called Boyer Ford '' they are on holiday the recording said " . So I called them the following Monday spoke to some named Mike let him know that I have photos of the drive shaft in the middle of the hwy he first said that it was not their problem and the further into the conversation he said that they would like to see it so I replied great '' HE IMMEDIATE RESPOND OH THERE IS NO MANAGERS HERE SO HE DID NOT WANT TO SEE IT AND FOLLOWED UP BY SAYING GOOD LUCK " Since no one had worked on the truck but them and the drive shaft had to be remove in order to replace the transmission. I'm telling everyone and anyone DO NOT trust them I can backup everything I say with photos and documents from the company that is fixing the truck, so far it has cost me over $600.00 Hope this will help you Lets start with I thought that a dealer shop would take care of there customers. Boy was I wrong thay replaced my transmission less then a year a go in the first 30 days the driveshraft fell off on the highway I took photos then called Boyer ford the service center told me that no one was there in the middle of the day to help me. thay would not return my calls .you have to disconnect the drive shaft to put in a new transmission , now the flywheel is bad because the new stater was not tightened down correctly.
Took my truck in because of tail light and turn signal problems. Also, there was a whining noise in engine compartment. Told them to call before fixing whining noise because i thought it was something else besides a serpentine belt. I knew I could have replaced a serpentine belt myself. They didn't call and replaced the serpentine belt and it cost me $177 in labor for a belt I could have replace myself. When I picked up the vehicle, I tried to remote start the vehicle and it didn't work. I told them it worked when i brought the vehicle in. They said there wasn't anything they did that would have caused the remote start to quit and it was the cold weather causing the remote to quit. They also said it would cost me more money to hook up the computer to find out what was wrong. After refusing to pay them another cent, I drove the vehicle home. After doing some searching under the hood, I found that the mechanic forgot to plug in the hood switch which he had to unplug to replace the belt. Once I plugged the switch in, the remote start worked. Boyer used to be a great place to get work done; now it is like they don't care. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Previously have had other issues with them and tried talking to a manager. He just blew me off. The only good thing about the place is its parts department which has always been very helpful and cheaper priced than our local Ford dealership.
Only reason I would give a 1 star is I couldn't give a zero. Called to get part numbers for a couple parts I couldn't find anywhere and they refused to give them to me. Only dealership I've ever ran into that has ever done that.
Awful experience. Diagnosis changed several times. Invoice was resent and bill changed by over $1,000.00 (one CSR contradicted another one, not knowing the bill had already been sent). Work didn't hold. Engine is now down completely. Never met projected completion times. Never answered phone. Left on hold over and over again. Clearly apathetic about a customer they knew was broken down in the middle of the country. Clearly in the business of finding ways to charge every dime possible. Not looking out for the customer - AT ALL. We cover most of the US with our fleet and this is the worst and most dishonest experience we have ever had. The new engine they quoted was several thousand dollars more than any other quote received, they felt as if we had no choice.
One star just because them trying to do some to help but nothing work! I just got new Isuzu NPR gas a month a go and all ready been at service two times and even now I need tow my box truck again! It's not start yet! Only a 1,150 miles on it. First time I was stop there because my transmission shift for no reason on hwy at 55 mph and higher from 6th gear to 4th gear and engine rpm's at 70 mph like almost 4500 rpm's screaming and burning gas as crazy I got even on video, and mechanic at Boyer Trucks said: it's normal for gas engine! No load in box, no wing approach, no pushing acceleration pedal (even relies it), level road! and mechanic said it's normal, I think or mechanic not updated or software for diagnostic from last century! and buy now no updates! Second time my GM gas engine with 1k miles on it does not start, I called for road assistance and them towed truck to Boyer Truck, after two days them called me and said '' truck was start with no issues! and you lucky we found ground wire in fuse box was loosed - we tight it" I was so glad at least some fixed! And now four days later my box truck seating on my driveway and blocking car in garage, no start again, them said you can tow it to as again but we can look it in about week. And in short story- I paid for new truck $48K's and can't use it!, just wasting my time with "professional" service of Boyer Truck authorized to do service for Isuzu. My guess them just pumping money from customers just because in Twin City's metro only few dealers to service Isuzu and them keep them self busy by not doing properly repair or there mechanics has no idea what them doing!
Wow. Some really bad service. Dropped a work truck on December 12 for some minor repairs (side mirror replacement and door wire harness). Had scheduled an appointment for the 13th. Called at the end of the day and they said they were busy and didn t have a chance to look at it. Called again on Monday (16th) with no luck. After pressing, they said maybe they would be able to look at it on Thursday (19th). Net Net just got the vehicle back on January 9th with no explanation of why. This is a work truck and it was out for nearly a month when I thought it would be out for a day. No outbound calls from the service department they would only respond after I called. Not sure what is going on but if you need a vehicle serviced this place is extremely slow. Response to the response from owner - exactly who do you suggest that I speak with when calling your general number (I have the number memorized because I called it so many times while waiting). Here is the deal. There are a bunch of small business owners that have the smaller vans that need same day service. If you can provide it you will have a ton of service business. If you keep a revenue generating asset for a month, sorry you should get out of the game.....
Complete waste of time and money waiting more than 3 weeks for my truck to get repaired just needed to replace the wheel studs one phone call from service advisor in 3 weeks two times that I tried to call they patch me through to a voicemail fabulous fabulous customer service if you have nothing else to do and don't need any vehicle to drive. I'm not going to talk to anybody from management because they could care less. if you take your vehicle to boyer or you buy a thing from Boyer you get everything that you deserve the only thing that would be better is the knock the dealership down and put up an office building
Your alignment people either can t read prior repair tags or just plain make up what they want. And the service adviser is just as complicit in your failures.
Picked up a work truck (Isuzu) from service shop. They diagnosed and fixed a very confusing issue. Work was completed in a timely manner and staff was curtious. Nice clean shop!
they suck went there for diagnostics . they told me that my lower intake manifold gasket was leaking. I showed it to two different mechanics but they were not able to find any vacuum leak they told me that it needs a catalytic converted too and it turned out that it only needed spark plugs only
I bought an E350 Cutaway Cube Truck and my experience with Fernando and Ben was terrific. They are a bunch of really helpful gentlemen- not much room for negotiation with the price, but it was a fair deal, and exactly what we needed.
The work was performed in a timely manner and they washed my truck when they were done. I had some warranty work done on my 2015 f150. I had to drop it off and pick up my rental for the night. There rental vehicles are not very nice. I dropped off a 2015 f150 and was given a 1997 f150 with no a/c and there was less then 1/4 tank of gas in it. I was less then impressed.
I been here a hour almost two hr. jus for a oil change and I'm don't only one here unacceptable and I will continue to go to another ford wouldn't recommend to any one services is terrible
Great Dealership. They have a large selection of work vehicles for every industry. I won't go anywhere else for my business! I'll be coming back this winter to get a plow truck!
This is the place to take your pickup! After having problems with another Ford garage, a friend recommended Boyer based off of their heavy duty truck department. These guys were honest, fast, and very nice to work with. I will be taking my pickup back to Boyer in the future!
Boyer Ford in Superior WI. Very bad experience! Terrible service, it took 2 months for them to replace our RV engine. They replaced it last year, the engine was under a 3 year warranty, both parts and labor, we used it three times, the new engine they replaced broke down too. Jasper the engine company provided another engine at no charge, however, Boyer charged us $4,000 for labor on this second new motor, which was under warranty, the same charge they billed us for the first one! We never received an estimate prior for any service, we assumed because it was under warranty a new motor and installation would be covered, as stated in our warranty. Their bill was not itemized, no hours even recorded. The first time we had used Boyer in Savage, less than a year ago, we paid nearly $12.000 and had a good experience.
Then they left a present in our toilet, as they clearly used our toilet while it was being repaired. Never ever again!
p.s. I tried to get this sorted out with the manager at the Superior location to no avail. The little "automatic" apology doesn't help, but rather points out, there must be many bad reviews to have this "canned" apology in place. I have left a message at the number below.
I used to really like Boyer, but.my last two experiences took way longer than anticipated. One was a scheduled oil change that took ~5 hours, but they comped it so I thought why not try again.
The last time was a scheduled inspection on Thursday and they didn't get to my truck until Monday. This was during cold weather (-20f below), so they were busy, and my truck was not worked on. I was surprised to find out they didn't staff weekends when so many vehicles were in need of repair.
They didn't have a courtesy car until Wednesday, and when I did get one it was a 2wd F350, probably mid 2000s.
Seems like they do quality work, but I don't trust their timing estimates.
Service dept was really frustrating. Had my truck for 13days and only fixed half of what they were supposed to. Had to bring it back again. Was supposed to have it for 2 days the second time . Had it for 5.
I went back to Boyer to get the work complete when I was able to schedule and knew I could manage the four kids, dog, and schedule without my regular vehicle.
The weather was better -- and so was the service!
I appreciated that Boyer took care of the customer service fix though it was no longer in the covered window. They also checked out a few other small concerns I had. Because of the last incident, the team set me up with a loaner vehicle. I really appreciated it and it helped me feel better about trusting that the work would get done in a timely way.
Ultimately, the original service problem may be deemed the fault of the nature of the Ford repair time window. I wouldn't have brought my truck in during a winter blizzard (or the winter at all!), but the customer service repair had a short time period in which to attend to it.
-- Original incident, Winter 2019
I received a letter from Ford about a customer service negotiated fix to address carbon monoxide exhaust entering the back gate of my Ford Explorer. I called days ahead and scheduled the service. I requested estimates for two other issues. They told me they d needed half a day to do it.
I brought it in when it was scheduled. I arranged a rental vehicle so I could leave it two full business days (planning ahead figuring 4x the estimated time would cover it!)
I had to pick it up at the end of the two days. No one had even looked it. No estimates were done. No service was done. I m out the cost of a rental vehicle and hours of my time.
I had a problem with my wife's Ford Escape on Monday. The Truck was at New Brington Ford for over 24 hrs, until I got a call from them saying that the fix was $609 + Taxes. I called Boyer, and Mike quote me the same repair with the part included for $250 out of the door. I when to drop the car on Tuesday afternoon (Drove the car from New Brighton Ford to Boyer) for them to work on it on Wednesday morning. A really nice Lady (which sadly I do not remember her name) at service gave the option to wait an hour and drive the car home fixed. A little over an hour later I was driving the car home, and saved not to spend an extra $400. Just to be clear, nothing wrong with New Brington ford other than the price I was quote. Mark was great there and when the extra mile to help me the problem... Anyways, Boyer is my new Ford Dealer from now on. Thanks Boyer Service Department.
Took truck in to figure out a drone at 70-75 mph.. Couldnt figure it out. Paid them to remove and replace u-joints and the drone was still there and now a bad vibration. They made an adjust ment and the vibration was less pronounced but still noticable. Had them check it again and Vicki said the driveline guy checked it out and it was the rear end for $2300. I came in to drive it with the driveline guy and he thought it was a balance and possibly shimming, though the balance issue/vibration was never a problem before I brought it in, He also said he didnt say it was the rear end so Vicki was trying to charge for something that wasnt even a problem. That is potential fraud in my book. Find a good local guy that others trust. The stealerships are there for one thing, to sell you something that you keep spending on to repair.
I wish I could leave less stars. Called the day before for an oil change and they said they could fit me in at 7am and would take 45 mins. I show up and it takes 2 and a half hours and they said they never had me in their system in the first place.
Very helpful and very willing to get me in while we were passing thru. They know I wont be a regular customer but they went out of their way to help me anyway. Best place I've ever been for service.
