Gary Borger was great from start to finish in the litigation process. He was professional and was on top of every issue as they arose(and there were a lot with my case)! He didn't sell me out for a quick deal! He knew my position and He fought for every issue that was dear to me! He always used logic and reason and his vast law knowledge and experience to navigate the court system. He always responsed quickly to my phone calls and emails and was always extremely prepared for court dates and mediation dates. I had reached my full retirement age and retired, but, because of the major reduction in my income, I was no longer able to afford my alimony payments. Mr. Matez was assigned to my divorce settlement case by the courts, and with agreement by my attorney and my ex's attorney. Having never met Mr. Matez prior to this mediation - and having never been involved in any type of mediation - I was pleasantly surprised by his relaxed and friendly approach, and how he quickly put both my ex and myself at ease. He spoke to both of us and offered encouraging words to both relax us and to put us on notice that this was to be a positive mediation designed to begin the process of negotiation where negativity would have no place. The mediation began, continued and ended in a positive manner and, to my pleasant surprise, we were able to reach a mutual agreement in this first and only session. I am truly appreciative of Mr. Matez's approach and obvious expertise in mediation. Additionally, Mr. Matez had everything formalized and to both of our attorneys in mere hours. I am very fortunate to have had Gary Borger as my attorney. Initially, I sought him out since I read about his focus on Collaborative Divorce which I thought would be an amicable approach to end my marriage of 24 years and an alternative to litigation. With collaborative divorce, both parties must be on the same page, honest ,forthright and focused on solutions. I was all for it. However, it became clear to me and to Gary, that collaborative divorce would not be possible in my case due to a series of events and the resulting dishonesty and relentless antics of the other party. Gary was extremely knowledgeable and proficient in handling all aspects of my case which included the issues of child support, custody, parenting time, and alimony, as well as sorting through complex financials, a closely held business, coordination with a forensic accountant, and tax related manners which became significant. During the most emotional times, Gary facilitated a sense of calm and rationality which helped me to focus on the end result I was seeking. He treated me in a respectful, dignified and non-judgmental manner. He was kind and empathic towards the challenges of my children and was focused on protecting them from all the chaos. Gary has a keen and discerning understanding of human behavior coupled with years of experience in family law. During the process, he exemplified the highest ethical standards and I highly recommend him to handle your case.

I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Matez and his staff on numerous occasions for the last four years. Mr Matez is an outside of the box thinker. He sees things in a way that other lawyers can not. I have also had the pleasure of working with another associate in the firm, Mr. Ingram. Mr. Ingram is prompt in his responses and has bulldog determination when needed. The office staff has always been friendly and they make every attempt to assist you if they can. However the main reason I continue to come back to this law office is for their honest advice. Some of their advice I have taken and other advice I have not. We started with Jack Ingram who was very helpful starting our case. He listened and gave sound advice. But as the case took a turn, we had Mr. Peter Halden become our primary attorney. What can I say? Without Deena Betze and her wonderful team, we would have been devastated. It was an ugly divorce and custody battle and I was forced to hire a lawyer in the States while being in Germany.
