Very poor attitude and performance by Manager. inspite of them accepting a booking for 2045 hrs for dinner, Manager informed us that the kitchen was closed at 2100 hrs as there were no more customers for the night.. This was inspite of the fact that they are listed as open till past midnight.
Who takes these decisions and why that cannot be passed on to customers who have come for dinner.
Sorry state of affairs of a potentially good restaurant.
Also If informed politely ,it would have been accepted instead of being apologetic Manager kept repeating that' it was beyond his control, if his staff from Kitchen decided to shut the kitchen early. He kept repeating that it was uncontrollable situation. It showed a total lack of managerial skills and Responsibilities.
The situation was bad because we already had snacks, then after ordering dinner,we were told after 15 minutes that kitchen was already shut. The Dinner orders should never have been taken.

Owners need to streamline things ,if they want a good prospective venture to be successful and make a name for itself.

On the positive side ,the starters we're good and we would like to visit again ,only to sample dinner.

One of the guys here talked us into buying his dish saying it's nice and spicy and how much we would appreciate it because we were Indian.

This dish was so ******* spicy I had to ask the waiter for a glass of milk and to remove all the chilli's.. one bite was enough

Worst experience ever !!

Worst experience ever !!

I went to the restaurant in the afternoon and first impression i got was ignorance ( as if they were not happy i was there ) the waitress didn't seem to know the menu nor could recommened anything, however i went with butter chicken and 2 naan ( btw it was 1 naan sliced into 4 pieces ).. the staff sat at a table behind me and i just had to raise my hand time and again asking for service. No water was served neither asked with my meal.It all seemed rushed or the staff was uninterested, probably underpaid to even care.
I will never go here againnnnn....!!! There are far better options and with reasonable price in and around holborn.
I will never visit this restaurant again.
I'm forced to give it 1 star.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Not a popular place for lunch as we were the only ones there.. very expensive for the quality. Quantity is good, staff was friendly, service was prompt (not surprising given there was no one else. The bathrooms were not well maintained again - for the location and price one expects better. One would do better to try the street food at southbank and walk down to the theater rather than opting for this expensive place.

Booked a table here for last night, upon arrival we were left standing in what felt like a dingy corridor for a good couple of minutes before being greeted by a member of staff. We were told they fully booked (restaurant was less than half full). I stated we booked then there seemed to be a disagreement in front if us between two members of staff as to whether we could actually be sat down. Once they decided we could, we were given menus and then just left. We waited and waited, tried to flag down some staff to no avail. After 25 minutes of not even being asked for drinks orders, we stood up and left. Extremely dissapointed, the worst service I have ever recieved, in or out of London.

Went to this restaurant after a quick search on google. I ve had a few meals out in my 57yrs across many parts of the world but none quite as bad as this. They tell of authentic Indian street style food but the meal was so full of spice it was very difficult to enjoy or taste any authenticity. Very poor, odd decor and overpriced. If you want a good Indian meal, this is certainly not the restaurant to head for.

The ambience can't be more authentic, open, welcoming. Money well spent on decor. Music was perfect punjabi and hindi mix, peppy. Food 10 on 10. Best chicken lollipop I had. Butter chicken and biryani awesome. Right at the heart of Holborn. Staff great as well. Looking forward to be a regular.

The place is nicely decorated and has a good vibe, there is wide choice of drinks. There is a lot of space inside, good alternative to overcrowded weatherspoon nearby.
Food was tasty but nothing special really. I think this is something they could improve there.

We dined as a group of 13 and had a great evening. This restaurant absolutely does not deserve the bad reviews that I have read here, based on our experience.

Firstly, the service was incredible and the food fantastic - large portions, hugely tasty and beautifully prepared and presented.
Our dishes were really cleverly spiced and thought through, which firmly took the menu into 'fusion' territory.

My partner and I shared our starters and mains and they were all fantastically delicious and different - a great Indian dining experience. I wish every Indian delivered like Bollywood Stories.

Everyone around us also raved about their meals and we left a very happy group. Do yourself a favour and don't hesitate booking this restaurant.

The only one star that I can give is for the nice flashy entrance (apart from the option to post this review) and may be for one of the starters.
The worst that I could say was the dark and dingy ambience and the loud blast of music that was being played for much of the visiting crowd form India/Pakistan - a lot of who were happily encouraged singing the songs out loud in a karoke to the dismay of other guests.
I also pity the one lady and the guy on the bar who were serving our table !
For a moment felt being transported to a shady restaurant where the families and the quieter lot aren't welcome.
Toilets were a mess and with the flushes not working the worst was the red stains of betel leaves (if one knows what it is).
The ones in Housnlow and Southall are a better experience to this and I sincerely hope that this review is taken in the right spirit and whoever is responsible for running this is able to do justice of opening up this place in the nice location of Central London.
Long long way to go though !

Empty restaurant, poor service and I didn't wait to see how bad the food was! Ordered chaas after which three people came one after the other to confirm my order and ultimately got the wrong order. Place was empty and sad for an evening out

We were absolutely delighted with this place. The food was excellent and very authentic, the street food reminded me of home and the indo-chinese was spot on. Great service. Highly recommended.

Visited this restaurant on a spontaneous one and I'm glad i did. Lovely vibe, good music and an excellent change of scenery from your usual London establishment. Was recommended to order the honey chilli chips by the lovely Gabby, a very professional, well presented and well mannered young individual. Its good to see someone who is very knowledged and passionate about what she does, her smile and the way she carries herself really makes you feel like your are in good hands when dining at this restaurant. She represents the establishment very well, along with the other staff who all made my visit quite pleasant. I give high recommendation for this restaurant and do encourage you to pay a visit. 5 STARS!

Rude, Disrespectful, awful experience. Non muslim Indian owner selling Halal meat, thats a NO! As i found out only after i had eaten there, that they claim they are Halal but they aren t. The owner is a clown who wears a tracksuit walking around at tables showing off. Workers were rude to my pregnant wife when enquiring about Virgin cocktails just because we don t drink Alcohols as the staff & management are not muslims. Food was poor, extremely spicy with 0 flavour, completely overpriced for it portion size. From the starter to the main we waited 50mins.

The night ended with an argument as i refused to pay for optional service charge, because of our poor experience, as we were leaving the owner called me and my pregnant wife cheap-skates . After hearing this i told the manager to step outside, it almost escalated to a violent fight outside the restaurant as many customers were in shock of how rude the staff & management were. If my wife wasn t there to calm me down i would have resulted in harming the aggressive poor english spoken Indian manager for his rude nature & money grabbing tactics.

I met d guy who runs d place a few months ago...he explained to me tht he was trying to tell a story wit d food...about hw a person goes from eating street food to luxury food as they progress thru life...absolutely impressed! Fast forward a few months n I went here for a friend s dinner...broken n stinking toilets, no story wit d food, usual menu nothing special...only saving grace is d quality of d food n the decor which will get old soon. Ordered Indo-Chinese: the veg momos and veg hakka chow mein noodles which were amazing! The noodles were exactly how I like them (especially the spice level). The momos were properly filled with vegetables and the green sauce served with it on the side really enhanced the flavour but beware, that green sauce/chutney is extremely spicy.
Also loved the ambient with all the current Bollywood songs playing in the background (although the volume can be a bit lower so people can talk amongst themselves).
Overall, money well spent, for sure.

This was my breakfast fix for the 6-days I stayed at Club Quarters. Their food and service is great. They do a great cooked breakfast menu and the buffet. A bit confusing when both are offered together, and ended up paying for both on the 1st day. Their English breakfast, the Salmon and eggs etc were really nice. Didn t really enjoy the poached eggs on the muffin on my last day as the eggs weren t cooked enough to my liking. But great atmosphere.

I booked this place for a team dinner.
The booking was easy but it did take some time to get a reply in the beginning.
As I have not been here before, I went to try out the menu during my lunch break. The food was really tasty but the chili prawns was very spicy.
We asked them to tone down the spice.
However on the night I could not taste any spice.
I was disappointed on the team dinner night. Some of us ordered mixed grill to share. For me everything in that was mushy and did not taste of anything. The mains were ok but nothing special.
The staff were every friendly and the service was fast.
Based on the lunch I had I would go back but based on the dinner I would not.
