Fitz refuses to give corporate phone number, and their corporate building is PERMANENTLY CLOSED. & this is a warning for POC they are racist and will most likely try and SCAM YOU if you are POC!! we ve been renters since 1999 n NEVER experienced this when moving out of any apartment/condo/house/townhouse!! If you enjoy living under a socialist regime, you'll love this place. Constant threats of what you can and can not do. After one year I'm finally out. Rent is high for what you get. I travel a lot with my job. During my one year lease, I probably spent maybe 60 - 90 nights there. Don't look to get your deposit back or minimal amount at best. My apartment was very clean. I was charged an extra hour cleaning for $75 and $50 for new stove burner plates. The sad thing is that I used the stove <10 times to boil water. Since I was hardly ever there, I ate out most of the time. This place will do anything in it's power (which they are good at) to nickel and dime you to death. Don't make a mistake and call the office for anything because you will probably just get upset. Horrible place and thankful I found a nicer apartment with great landlords for about $400 less per month.
Parkside Estates is wonderful! They pick up your trash and are very accommodating. I have not had one issue at all and it was a very pleasant experience for 2 years! Thanks for all the hospitality, Parkside Estates!
I would like to thank the whole staff at Parkside for a wonderful place to live for the last 4 years, I would highly recommend your Complex to anyone looking for a quality place to live both inside and outside of apartment. Also a special shout out to your maintenance staff...Wow! What can I say except...These people were amazing for me over the 4 year course.
If you run any kind of internet based business or require constant internet connection for your well being, DO NOT move here. They have in building wireless that you are required to use with no hard wired connection and it is provided by some 3rd party company that does not maintain it. There is not enough bandwith for the entire complex or for each building and the internet goes down at all hours of the day sometimes for hours of a time, or it will just constantly lose signal every 10 minutes for hours on end.
We have been complaining for the better part of a year and they have not done anything to fix it. The other thing is due to a contract they have with this 3rd party provider, no one else such as Comcast or Verizon is allowed to provide internet service to the complex. I begged Comcast to give me my own line when they came to do my HD cable, but they insisted they were not allowed. I called their customer service and went all the way to a regional manager who finally admitted per the 3rd party company contract, Comcast is not allowed to service the complex for internet.
I imagine Parkside is trapped in this contract with a sizable monetary buy out and that is why they continue to make us suffer terrible internet connection. It is paid for in our rent each month but we surely do not get a solid connection or good internet service in return. They keep saying they are having it tested and upgraded the equipment, but the service gets worse every single month and there is nothing you can do about it short of moving to another complex that allows you to choose your own internet provider. Unfortunately there aren't many "nice" apartment complexes in this area that don't cost an arm and a leg so they know they can get away with it and refuse to fix the issue.
Other than that it is not a bad place to live. The prices are way too high for this market though. I have lived in Chicago and Atlanta where the cost of living is 2-3X higher than this area, but the rents here are actually higher than either of those cities. You will pay around $1300 a month for a small 2 BR unit. They know there are a lot of transplants due to the Marcellus Shale and they are gouging on rents which are $300-500 well above market value for what this place should really cost. Amenities are nice except for the trash. They have one compactor for the entire complex and it constantly overflows and/or breaks and trash piles up outside of it attracting flies and racoons. Some units are renovated but some are not and still have the 10+ year old appliances and W/D facilities.
Sadly as I mentioned there aren't many other rental options in the area. The places near Southpointe want well over $1500 for a small 1BR and the other nice complex over in Washington has been 100% occupied and on a 5-month waiting list for the last 3 years because their prices are actually reasonable and more in line with the market. People come and go here every 2-3 months. I've had at least 10 different next door neighbors on either side of me in the last 2 years, so I imagine they are renting to a lot of the oil workers in the area and gouging on the rent rates. One other note is the office is closed on weekends so if you have a problem you are pretty much on your own. They do not consider A/C to be an emergency and you will have to wait until the office is open again for them to respond. My A/C went out Friday night and I put in a request with their "emergency maintenance" and no one came out until Monday afternoon. It was 85+ degrees in the unit even with windows open and fans on. This was in the middle of the summer and they simply do not want to have to pay one of their maintenance techs overtime to come deal with weekend problems.
Think about it and check apartment ratings before you rent here. As I said, it is a halfway decent complex, but they get away with a lot because of the lack of other options in the area.
My apartment is very spacious, very updated and clean. Both Woman that run the Management are super nice and friendly, and quick when they are getting back to you about a problem. The 2 Janitor guys I have had Help with are amazing , they are there at my door when I need them! Very pleased with my year lease at Parkside. Great parking for all tenants.
I have lived here very long time and any problems I have had has been addressed quickly. I appreciate Dave our maintenance guy always very kind and helpful. Cannot thank Dave enough. I also think that Michelle has been doing a great job since she became manager for Parkside. Also our other maintenance man Dave also so helpful.
Absolutely love Parkside! The team all the way around is amazing. Our manager Michelle is extremely professional and does an awesome job making sure tenants are happy and puts together nice events for our community. The maintenance guys are extremely efficient and housekeeping keeps the grounds and buildings very clean. I would 1000% recommend this apartment complex! From the staff, to the amenities, to the location, Parkside is PERFECT.
The property s landscaping seems to be well maintained, I saw a crew here cutting some trees back off the road a few weeks ago. I ve also seen how quickly the snow removal company arrives once the snow is falling. Very fast it s throwing the salt. The property manager is very particular and seems to have this place really under control. I d recommend anyone to live here. Complete turn around of how it used to be.
Toilet water fron an upstairs toilet overflow ran through the ceiling and soaked the bedroom, closet, and bathroom. I called the emergency maintenance number and got a total runaround. They came and fixed the toilet upstairs and my place was left untouched. I called again and was told they would repair the plaster once it dried. The carpet was drenched, the paint was bubbled on the walls, the bathroom floor was still flooded. My other calls were not even returned! I called again the next day too. I reported the problem to the office as well. I had to find another place to stay that night. After 3 days and some nasty conversations the problem was finally addressed. Still not exactly a good job either. The price they charge for apartments here is already insane! You think they would take better care of their tenants!
I have been living at Parkside for almost two years and I absolutely love this apartment. It is clean and updated. The price is fair considering everything but electric is included...even cable and internet!! I chose a third floor apartment with washer and dryer and when my washer broke I had a new one the next day!! The maintenance staff is awesome and fixes any issues immediately. Dave is the best! Jana in the office is super nice and helpful. Everyone that works there is so nice to my 2 year old. The pool is an added bonus. I definitely recommend.
This place a frigging joke!! My gf gpt an apt here in may 2017 dryer has been on last leg since then! Had Maintenance guys here 2 times and same run around now 6 month later finally had an hvac guy come to look at it and leave her apt trashed!!!! With dirt and debree and the kitchen floor is now scuffed up!!! For $1100 a month do not get a lease here.........
I ve lived here since May of this year & I love it here! The staff is super nice & helpful. The apartments are really great & the balcony is so peaceful and relaxing to sit on. The pool and gym are also top notch! It s also nice and quiet here 98% of the time. Neighbors are friendly. Highly recommend!
Cheaply built, you can hear your neighbors every move. This is not an exaggeration, it s uncomfortable. The quality of the people living here is the biggest issue. There were multiple gun shots on the property and in the building with little to no recognition. The cops are there constantly, domestic violence, drunk and disorderly. You will be woken up all hours of the night during the week with either someone s base or drunk people fighting. The buildings also smell like animals very badly. I m not sure if there is an animal hoarding problem or what. Not worth your money or stress, not peaceful living.
if i could give no stars i would. youll never get your security deposit back, charge you for an insane "clean up fee", and maintenance entered my place multiple times while i was showering changing etc. trash place
The apartment is very spacious with updated appliances. The buildings stay clean and always smell good! It also convenient parking! Amanda and Patti who maintain the property s appearance are great! They love my dog so much and are super helpful with any questions I have!
Very bad maintenance! The dirt from the field stayed like for weeks! Only one trash site which sits at the entrance and very dirty and disgusting especially during summer time! Also very bad sound isolation due to thin wall structure which makes you hear any sounds from your neighbors!
