Bloomies is always a treat when you don't have one where you live!

High end department store with lots of floors and lots of stock - I got lost! The shine was slightly taken off by the dead fish in the perfume section display tank.

Bloomingdales certainly is "Like No Other Store in the World". I don't mean that in a positive way. If you're thinking about ordering furniture from them, don't. Go to ABC Home instead. We've received such uprofessional service from Bloomingdales. After spending thousands of $$$$ on bedroom furniture, and a major delivery screw up, my husband and I are now sleeping on the floor with no resolution from Bloomingdales in sight. I have never been treated with such disrespect and unacceptable behavior in my life.

I always thought this store was more expensive than it is. It's pretty much just like Lord and Taylor......a little more expensive. Certainly not as pricey as saks. The people there are friendly and when picking out a dress for my wife, the guy who helped us followed us around the store until we found the right dress.

This Bloomingdale's location is the throne seat. For shopping in the US of A. Service is usually great (experience mostly it high end luxury items and men's clothing) and the selection is phenomenal.
There are probably better places to buy a suit if you can spend the money, but for under 1k the selection and the service (including alterations) is unparalleled.

Beautiful and with attentive attendants, but can be kind of scattered and the store itself is very expensive.

Definitely a place to come for your holiday shopping. Of you are a visitor from a different state or country don't forget to pass by the visitor center to get visitor discount card. Has and amazing collection of fine jewelry and watches at the Balcony. Women bathrooms are in the second floor and seventh floor, men's bathrooms are in the basement and seventh floor. Don't forget to try the best frozen yogurt in town at Forty Carrots on the 7th floor

If u step one foot in Bloomingdale, you're going to come out with shopping bags!!! Love it here

Serious attendance problems. There are no sellers. But the products are really cool.

Department store, it is possible to find promotions and good prices but you have to look hard and don't expect outlet prices.

Had to make an exchange for something purchased online. The lady in the gift department helped me out. She was so pleasant and so helpful. Often returns or exchanges can take long. This was so simple and so quick and she was so nice.

Great place to find exclusive clothing. Everyone is very helpful and will always recommend the best options for what you're looking for. They also have Magnolia Bakery, Flip, and Le Train Bleu (expensive) if you're looking for food.

You can find all over here. Beautifully decorated and managed.

Chris of the mens colognes dept at Penhaligons is extremely knowledgeable! Great salesman as well.. Never hesitated to allow me to sample the scents on my skin, and ended up selling me Penhaligons Endymion.... I hope mgmt sees this post!

Great face to face personal sales assistance, I don't know what the followup service is like though as I've never had to use that aspect. Better customer service than I've had in the UK in large department stores in London.

I never liked bloomingdales in the past, too pretentious, but recently it has come on my radar again and I have been really happy with the sales, the rewards, the customer service and the product selection. Go bloomies!!

DONT EVER GIVE THEM YOUR MAIL ADDRESS. You will never be able to remove yourself from countless catalogs.

They have an Excellent perfume section and High standards on customers satisfaction.

One of my favorite places to shop in the city. There's so many sections to look at that I can get lost in here for hours. A good selection of home items, as well, if you are brave enough to venture to the top of the store. I've always had good luck here in terms of service, as well. The staff has always been very helpful.

BEWARE: Bloomie's Customer Service is located overseas, and their resolution of problems is non-existent: my experience indicates that they are completely incompetent.

I ordered three items online as birthday gifts for two relatives. One arrived, the other two did not, despite the building having a 24 hour doorman to accept deliveries. (Customer service said there was a delivery problem.)

Four times I requested that they be re-sent on an urgent basis. These are the four replies I got from four different customer service agents:

1. They will arrive in two business days. (They were not ever re-sent)
2. They are in transit- let us know if you don't get them by the end of the month (They didn't arrive because they weren't re-sent)
3. They were returned to Bloomingdale's and a credit will be issued. (I don't want a credit - I want the gifts to be re-sent)
4. We issued a gift card in the amount of the two missing items. (I never authorized my payment be converted into a gift card. I only ever asked that that the items be re-sent).

Before you order anything online for delivery, think twice. You will have no recourse if there is a problem.

I don't know how much money Bloomingdale's is saving by outsourcing their customer service to the Phillipines, but they must be losing lots of customers to this kind of gross incompetence.

Love Bloomingdale's for its large variety of items available. It provides for the everyday shopping and luxury high end items.
The staff are friendly and helpful which is a real treat these days.

Lovely clothes and (mostly) helpful staff. Could be improved by adding a more affordable section as even sale items were quite pricey.

An exclusive store that is an icon of the city. Very nice to dress, many important brands and some beautiful windows that change periodically. They also have stained glass windows where they make exhibitions of the artistic works of the children of the neighborhood school, if I read well ... of the school of the PS59 that is very close, a good way to contribute with the community and with the school students. Without a doubt a good option to visit in NYC.
It has all the services and even an entrance through the subway of the yellow line RQW

Heidi in Chanel handbag boutique is not professional at all. She will do anything for a transaction! She will talk to two clients at the same time for a same bag on waitlist and will sell it as she gets the transaction! And will leave the other client very upset.

I love coming here to mend all of my shopping needs I have a shopping addiction I will be honest so when I come here they have everything the newest and the latest fashions from luxurious to even basic designers the sales assistance are always very friendly and very kind

The Christmas window display and throughout the store was something I've never seen before. Way to go Bloomies.

I shopped in the shoe salon on the 5th floor and Mark assisted me. He is so helpful, professional, nice, courteous, friendly & for someone who I never met before, had a very good idea of what I like and fits my taste. Thank you!

Old multi storey store. Nothing special other than the name

I used to love going to shop on the second floor. Now that's renovated the associates are really unfriendly. They act like they dont need us the consumer. I cancelled my Bloomingdale's credit card. I was not treat in a friendly and engaging manner. Eventhough I had 4 sweaters in my hands ready to pay. No one ask me if I needed any help.
