I use to love to shop at this store, but I went there recently and it is not the same store as I remember. The store is more cluttered. The sales people are not as helpful. If there are sales going on, then you will still get a good bargain. Check the prices and the Internet. The regular prices are on the expensive side.

Another shopping experience you can't miss while in NYC. It's a bit more expensive than Macy's. Aside from that, if you've seen that old funny movie starring Robin Williams, that is Moscow on the Hudson, then it's a bonus to visit this shopping mall. One of the funniest scene was filmed here.

Great way to spend a day shopping, grabbing lunch or drinks or froyo. Always find good pieces here to inject some fun in my wardrobe and get good service. Love the fine jewelry selection and the home store!! The Christmas and hannukah stuff in the home store is so beautiful. One of their ornaments is coming home with me this year. Only thing is I wish they had more cruelty free options--most of their makeup and perfume is tested on animals or owned by parent companies who test on animals.

I've been shopping at Bloomie's for 39 years. I was a young teen who hung out with an older fun crowd who lived for spending Saturday afternoon shopping for our night's party drag, It simply had the best clothing for all age groups. I grateful for those who allowed me to tag along and gave me a valuable lesson in buying quality not just for the price tag.

The appeal is embracing the whole shopping experience; the architecture, the individuality of the departments, staff and of course the vast patrons that make Bloomingdale's well Bloomingdale's

Great upscale department store, much better than Macy's. Lots of trendy fashion brands you usually only find online. Retail prices are on the high end but they have great sales on some often hard to find items and niche brands. Very attentive staff and not too pushy, although not necessarily the most knowledgeable about fashion but that's to be expected.

Staff on the floor is friendly but management is not. Had an interview at this location last Thursday, and even missed a day of work only to have my time wasted! The lady that was doing the LP interviews rushed through both people she saw prior to me. The first young lady was interviewed for only 15 minutes, the second gentleman was in there for about 2 and half minutes and I had a 7 minute interview. The woman conducting the interview didn t know half of the basic Loss Prevention proceedings, couldn t tell me anything about a normal day in that department or the LP team, kept telling me about how prestigious the store reputation is and kept telling me about the store s holiday hours. When she asked if I had open availability to work I said I do but I also informed her that I have a son, she kept asking about my ability to work because she s often found that working people with children are unreliable, marked my resume and said that s all she needed from me before letting me know that I could see myself out of her office. The company definitely needs to retrain their hiring staff if they re so big on their class and prestigious brand.

This location still has some flair and makes the shopping experience pleasant, unlike other midtown department stores. The staff is polite and there's a decent selection of products. I don't usually go to department stores anymore but this is an institution and I'm glad it's still standing!

Everyone loves to spend money here but they should hire people to clean the restrooms. When I went in I did not want to use them they were filthy. If i am expected to spend a great deal of money the public facilities should at least reflect that of a decent place.

If you been to Harrods in UK or Shanghai in China, then there is probably nothing to see in the shop, same old things all around the world, BUT if you are interested in showcase, then it probably worth it:)) FYI,the train station is right in front of the shop.

One of the great old New York City shopping destinations, challenged may be only by the original Macy's. Nothing will be cheap, but Bloomingdale's is the symbol of commerce and status of the Upper East Side.

My first time at 59th store on 01-13-2020 to buy the coveted duchess rose for my wife's bday. I was waiting to be helped for a few minutes because the lady behind the counter was busy helping another customer when another sales associate nearby offered to help me. She said the lady on duty will be back in a few minutes but if I already know which fragrance to get she'll do her best to help me. She did a fine job. Thank you for your kindness.

So wrong, on so many levels

So wrong, on so many levels
I am a former LOVER who feels abandoned!
Not a helpful salesperson left in this department store. The housewares department is quite possibly number one on my list of least helpful people in New York City! I sincerely hope you never have to buy an overpriced pot , pan , knife or GASP... COFFEE MAKER!! Excuse me sir can you please explain the difference between this Nespresso machine and That one?
. No Mam, I only sell the pods
Can you tell me the difference between those pods sizes and those pods because they are same color but names are different c?
. Not really which ones do you want? ?
bye bye overpriced underwhelming Espresso Pod salespeople !!
The friendliest most knowledgeable person there was the chef who does the demonstrations and doesn t sell anything! He actually recommended an amazing knife brand which I purchased ELSEWHERE!

Bloomingdales, you are sadly dead to me!!
Yours Truly,
Big Mistake ...Huge!

It's been quite a while since I've been here but Bloomingdales is still classy and chic as always. It's just too pricey for me, I kinda like saving money despite the warm friendly sales people.

I love Bloomingdale's. It's the mother ship. I believe I still prefer the 3rd Ave offering to SoHo, even though I tend to be more in shopping mode when out in SoHo. Great selection though of great styles when I'm not in bargain hunting mode to scrounge through items at Loehman's and Filene's.

What a cool place to visit. Even if you don't have anything in mind to buy..its huge. Laid out well. The little bakery on the first floor is nice. Go during the holidays. The 8th floor has a cool gingerbread house. A life size one.

Friendly staff, and good experience thus far. Over a year ago I brought something that wasn't to my liking and they staff was amazing to get me a new one and left me with an amazing experience. Shout out to their Kilan section. A must if you're looking for a new fragrance to make you stand out.
