A large department store with all brands that you have to offer that. We were looking for Calvin Klein Underwear and got spontaneous 10% discount. Should we have seen, however, do not have to.

For the French: I advise you to go to The Kooples. Prices are cheaper than in France!
To that you add: balances and exchange euro dollars => you are necessarily winners !!!!

Union Insanity and lazy employees. Was in the ladies shoe department trying on shoes and had narrowed my choice down to 3 different pairs of shoes. I gathered my things and the 3 boxes and looked for the associate who was helping me. Stood there for about 10 minutes and then noticed 3 other Bloomingdale associates chatting and laughing together-doing nothing. Non of them approached me to ask if they could help. So I walked over and asked if they had seen the lady who was assisting me? They informed me she went on her break and these three associates refused to help me. "We're unionized and we can't help you" was their reply.

This was my first time visiting this Bloomingdale'...

This was my first time visiting this Bloomingdale's (though I'm a native New Yorker); I went on a Wednesday afternoon, and the store - I visited the first floor only - was a lot busier/packed than I'd expected (in comparison with similar department stores like Lord and Taylor). The amount of people combined with the rather cavernous, overly dark, and odd/inconvenient layout of the first floor made getting around quite annoying (and I'm very petite & had no bulky bags, so other customers were likely even more exasperated).
Cons: As mentioned, the store felt like a dark, claustrophobic cave & it was hard to simply walk around to browse - poor lighting might be fine on another floor, but utterly silly on a floor solely dedicated to makeup/beauty products). I was pressured/accosted by sales staff from every single brand (one literally grabbed my arm to pull me into a chair in their section); some staff did not take my polite refusal (I employed a more terse verbal response & classic NY glare then). A couple sales reps from two brands were downright condescending when I asked questions about their products & best way of applying them.

Pros: the selection of makeup/beauty brands & products was extensive, more so than most peer stores. I had lengthy interactions with two brand reps (from YSL & Bobbi Brown) who were incredibly instructive, informative, and took their time with me (vs trying to rush through & seek out another potential customer). I ended up purchasing products from each of those brands.

Overall, this Bloomingdale's has a wide selection of brands and products, making it possible to get whatever you may need in one place & a single trip. I strongly advise having a list or general idea of what you need/are looking for - saves a lot of time. If you can avoid or aren't bothered by pushy sales reps, then I recommend braving the crowd and patronizing this store.

Bloomingdale's Santaland is tiny, but the Santa was great. There was almost no line so we had plenty of time for photos. Professional photo packages are available, but personal photos are encouraged too.

Workers here are pretty chill. The few times I've come here it's been a great experience. It is a little pricey but hey, I won't complain. Just walking around here I met a kind worker who introduced me to the House of Sillage cologne and WOW was it amazing. $275 per bottle but for me, totally worth it. Forgot the individual who introduced me to it but regardless, it was well worth it.

Although I'm not usually a fan of department stores as they are usually overcrowded and overpriced, this Bloomingdale's has amazing customer service. The saleswoman spent over an hour helping me pick out Pandora charms for a joint family gift for my mom. A few days later, I received a personally written thank you card as well as occasional event invitations. I ended up having to return one charm, which ended up being almost 5 months later, and again received great service despite the delayed return.

This review is for the Thanksgiving 149 dollar so-...

This review is for the Thanksgiving 149 dollar so-called "deal" dinner for 10. There was nothing right about this meal. The food was mediocre. In no way would it have served 10 maybe at best 6 (when we saw how much food they actually gave, we had to go out and buy more). The best element was the turkey, which, of course we cooked ourselves, although the cranberry sauce was respectable. You could easily have prepared the same meal for about $50 dollars and had much better quality food (which we ended up doing anyway -- making the stuffing and gravy ourselves). No mashed potatoes included, and the bread was not fresh, the butternut squash soup was tasteless, and the sweetpotatoes were over-sweetened. This was a huge disappointment, and to top it off, they had the nerve to charge tax on top of it -- not stated in the advertisement. In addition, you would find out when you picked up the meal, that each dish could have been purchased separately for about the same price as the combined "deal". Although the wait staff at Burkes are pleasant enough, there is hardly anything good I have to say about the acutal product .. from the deceptive advertising to the mediocre food.

The original Bloomie's! This and Macy's are Manhattan icons, and it was fun to stop in and make a few purchases. Honestly, while you can certainly get into financial trouble here, the clothing items purchased were priced very reasonably and the yogurt bar on the top level of the store had very tasty yogurt. The service I received in the Men's department was top-notch.

My favorite place to find some high quality clothing and get a great deal. The sales rack and downstairs area for younger men's clothing are filled with great deals. I find myself getting lost in the clothing here for hours but always can find a great find.

Richardo in menswear was very nice - the 59th St location has a great layout and great selection of items. I prefer this location compared to the location in Garden City which has a limited selection by comparison.

I had a terrible experience here today at noon.

I had a terrible experience here today at noon.
20$ lunch (for 1 burger and a bottle of water) landed in the garbage!! inedible- and no, I'm not usually picky.
After waiting for several minutes for the woman at the cash register to take my order ("hold on," she said, "I just have to finish this"- she was number punching from a piece of paper), I proceeded to wait while she tried to get attention from her coworkers to find out the price of the veggie burger I was ordering. I waited for 15 more minutes watching at least 4 different staff members behind the counter amble about with no seeming function whatsoever. 4 more staff waiters stood about on the other side of the counter. I watched what I reluctantly presumed to be my burger sit on the counter getting cold while someone arranged for my side of fries.
The fries were ok, greasy, but fine. The burger was a cold paste molded into the shape of a burger and topped with a thick layer of cold mozzarella. Garbage!
