Blackfoot has a great overall selection of motorcycle brands and staff that are interesting to talk with. But from experience your new bike will be delivered dirty and fuel tank empty, not what I would prefer from a hobby shop that sells 15-30,000$ products.
Just purchase a new bike from Blackfoot. Great experience, treated with utmost respect. Knowledgeable staff who care about customer service, know their bikes. I have purchased two other new bikes from a different bike shop and the service I received there doesn't even compare. I have had service done at Blackfoot with my other bikes so can tell you they always try to help you out, explain everything and are just easy to deal with. They also have the best hours in the business.
A+
Customer service is non existent. Prices are overinflated to the point of unreasonable.
I went into check I a helmet. Saw a 400$ price difference online. Sales rep said would price match. But then had manager involved to review :
First excuse to not match , well that is. USD. Nope this is in Canadian prices
Second excuse ; well there shipping , nope free shipping to Canada
Well it won t be DOT rated from online , incorrect. All shuberth helmets come DOT rated
Then was told. That a great deal I should buy I online
Unfriendly staff. Overpriced
I would never want to deal with them when came to any sort of warranty issues.
My money will never be spent in there again
I have only ever dealt with salesmen on the phone, on in particular.
Ron Newman has been nothing but a pleasure for me to deal with, he is always willing to answer questions, I have had a hard time picking a motorcycle but Ron has really really helped me figure it out!
As Well when I was in the shop a sweet beautiful young girl named Taylor I believe, helped me with street gear, she was very knowledgeable, and was so helpful even though i'm not 100% sure what i want!
Thank you Blackfoot Motorsports!
Great place to get parts, always helpful and knowledgeable staff. Would reccomend
"Outstanding, Above and Beyond!"
I recently purchased a Triumph Street Triple from Blackfoot Motosports and I was blown away from the amazing service I received. It all started when Dave started a conversation with me and recommended a motorcycle safety course after learning I had zero clue about motorcycles. He gave me lots of tips regarding how to start riding and shared many stories of his own endeavors as well. After taking the motorcycle safety course I knew exactly where I would go to get a new motorcycle. Dave walked through the whole process with me and was concise, prompt, friendly and understanding the entire way. He then referred me to Tabitha to complete the deal, and she made signing the papers feel like I was doing autographs. I felt very comfortable purchasing this motorcycle and before taking delivery, Dorian made me feel I was part of the family and gave me worldly advice that assured me that I could ride with confidence one day. His walk through was exceptional and thorough, I've purchased many vehicles in my life and never had I experienced such outstanding service.
I know who I will talk to when I need a new motorcycle, and I definitely know who to refer people to when they need a motorcycle. Dave and Dorian went above and beyond, and I sincerely appreciate the amazing positive experience I received.
Wone Yip is the best thing since sliced bread. Awesome salesman - professional, knows the product and does it all with a relaxed cool style. I had a warranty request after - one phone call was all it took. No paperwork, no fuss - it was just fixed.
I walked in here hoping to look at a specific new bike. They did have the bike, and I was very nicely greeted by someone from marketing. I was then directed to sales, and I briefly talked about the bike. I told the nice associate that I would be willing to purchase the bike in full, but I would be unable to pick it up until April (I really wanted this bike, and I just won't have a licence until then haha). Anyway, I was told that it wasn't possible; it is taking up floor space and such, so I understand their reasoning. I then went to another dealer across town and bought the bike there where they will be able to meet my particular needs. No hard feelings, it just wasn't meant to be.
Awesome service department. Tobias Langer gave me a lot of confidence that it would be repaired properly and it was.
Big place with lots to choose from. Staff are rushed and get frustrated when you ask questions.
Rowen at the parts desk, is absolutely the best parts person I have ever had to deal with. If you need any bike parts, Rowen is your guy. He knows his parts like the back of his hand and he goes above and beyond to help you, and quick! He s super friendly and easy to talk to, unlike most sales guys who try and up sell you things you don t actually need. Five stars, because Blackfoot Motosports needs more sales people like Rowen.
Recently purchased a Kawasaki H2-SX from here! The Salesman, Won, was awesome to deal with and very informative! Love my new machine!
This review is for sales and service. I started taking my Suzuki Vstrom to Blackfoot Motorsports for the more major service intervals and I have been very happy with the service scheduling and delivery. Well... the last servicing of the vstrom resulted in my discovery of a shiny new KTM on the sales floor with a price that was too good to pass up on. Tyler LeBlanc was superb at answering all of my questions and facilitating the trade in of the Vstrom, through to the delivery of the KTM. I love the selection of bikes and the obvious enthusiasm that the sales staff have... it shows.
Awesome selection of new and used bikes. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Amazing quality service from representative, Simon. He's definitely the guy to talk to!
Great place. Lots happening. Friendly staff. June 15th - A big high-five to Miles for getting me on the ride of my dreams. Back in the saddle and itching to twist the throttle of the big six.
Can t say enough for the service I received from Miles Cantafio at Blackfoot Motosports while purchasing my new Ducati Panigale V4. This is the third bike I bought from this dealership and have always been well taken care of. Thanks
Went in with my daughter. Had great no pressure service. they've got some cool little electric bikes for kids and riding gear to suit. Of course they have the hardware for adults too...
Had to order parts but staff was helpful, notified me when the parts came in. Picked them up all went well, as it should.
Had a great experience buing my bike here! Everyone is friendly here. Wone was awesome to deal with and very helpful. Thanks Dorian for squeezing me in for a last minute test ride and polishing her up! Would recommend Blackfoot to anyone!
These guys are becoming the go-to motorcycle shop. Price matching with online sites, friendly staff. Not much else you could ask for from a seasonal shop.
Motorcycles: you want. They got it! Parts, too. Even old bikes.
I would not order lower cost parts from this place. Go to GW cycle instead. These guys add a $5 fee on top of all their orders. The parts cost the same at GW and no special fee.
Very great experience for my first visit there, All the staff were wonderful. Specially Mike Becker, I'll always look for him when I go there hes so helpful :).
I recommend going to blackfoot motosports if you're looking to buy a good bike or a bike part.
Just need to comment on their customer service. Phoned around to other yamaha dealerships yesterday looking for some OEM bearings. BFM had a great response time and had every thing I needed. Was dealing with Bret in parts specifically.
One other phoned me back at 4:56pm and close at 5:00pm. I just ignored their call since I had no time to make it there before closing (also already been to BFM to get what i needed)
The other, well, still waiting for a call back. The girl at the parts desk phoned me after leaving a message with reception. She stated "I have a million things on the go" 3 minutes after opening and never phoned me back with any availability of parts. Why did you call me if you're not willing to help and make me feel like I'm interrupting your work day...
If you need yamaha specific parts, BFM is where you want to go if you want to have your questions answered and retrieve the parts you need.
Huge store with a lot of selection! Friendly staff, great quality stuff for you and your machine. Awesome tire prices, and they price match parts.
I purchased a 2017 YZF450 from Blackfoot Motosports this spring. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, which made the process easy and fun, I will definitely be purchasing all the accessories i need for my bike from Blackfoot and can't wait to get out riding! Thanks Blackfoot!
Mike was a great help in installing my new uckear speakers into my helmet.
Cole kussman was the absolute best helping me make my choice!!!
Very unprofessional staff, I applied for a motorcycle and they asked me for all my documents and papers and all of a sudden never heard from them with an answer, I Text and called and they ignore my texts and calls. I wouldn t recommend this dealership.
If you re looking to buy a motorcycle, I strongly recommend seeking Harsh as your sales person. I have nothing but respect for that individual. He s one of the reason why the motorcycle community is alive and well in yyc. He helped me a lot when I got my first bike. Gave me advice and tips how to keep my bike mint. He doesn t just sell you the bike of your dreams but you also gain a friend in the process.
Even if you re not trying to buy a bike, he welcomes you to even just say hi, or have a conversation about motorcycles. 5 stars don t do justice to the service he provides.
A whole bunch of passionate friendly folks. I felt so well taken care of. AND they put on fantastic events. Just a top notch dealership.
Have been trying to fix my bike over the cold season, and went here to get some help. Jay helped me a lot, and gave some great recommendations. Will definitely be back here in the summer
Dealt with Ron Newman several times now and always a pleasurable experience. Very knowledgeable and works hard to find the best bike suited for your needs.
Knowledgable staff, lits of selection, and online price matching keeps.me coming back
Can't believe they are a Triumph dealer. Been in 3 times and have been invisible. Never call back or follow up on parts. Spouse bought a motorcycle here. I went to Harley.
I spend big coin at this place and Megan Newman and Danika need a raise
Out of stock. Did not know when they would get any in.?
Great place for all your motercycle needs. Vary helpful staff
With some hesitation, I went bike shopping at Blackfoot. Their reputation was already tainted by my experiences with their overly bureaucratic policies around parts: a $4.90 gasket for my dirtbike also required a $5 "special order" fee. After questioning the parts counter they directed me to a senior person who piped on about increasing costs in the industry. Seriously? A 100% shipping charge??Needless to say I now acquire my parts elsewhere.
Unfortunately Blackfoot is the only BMW dealer in Calgary so I did some pricing between them and Argyll Motorsports in Edmonton. Argyll gave me their best price with some incentives; I asked Blackfoot if they would match but they said they wouldn't match anything without something in writing. Also, they said they didn't have access to the specific bike until well into the summer. Sent them a follow-up email and received no response. Went back to Argyll who not only found me the bike, but were willing to bring it from Ontario within 2 weeks. They also gave a special deal on a GPS. Done deal. I guess if Blackfoot needs something in writing, I can show them the bill of sale from Argyll...
Blackfoot has clearly gotten too big and bureaucratic, and there is an underlying sense of arrogance from management. I just don't understand how, under the gloom of our current economy, when a customer comes in to buy a $35K bike they don't put in the effort. I certainly am not going to do a lot of work to BUY a bike, but I would expect some effort from a company to SELL one.
I guess it's karma when bureaucracy around a $5 part helps to kill a $35,000 sale.
Stopped into BF yesterday to pick up some heated gear accessories. The guys behind the counter are always helpful, and have good pricing. Highly recommended.
On the sales side, Wone Yip is back at BF.
The man, the myth, the legend!
Swing by and talk to him about trades or used bikes...hell talk to him about new bikes! Talk to my buuuuuuuuuuuuudy Wone!
They're just a bunch of try hard wannabe's. They should rebrand it to " the posers choice"
Get a better deal at pro am...these guys are unbelievable to deal with. Never get a tire change there ,they tell u up front can't promise you the won't scratch your rim. Can u imagine
This place is not my favorite ! I did buy my 636 there when it was pdi the fuel line was open and it was slightly letting air in , that led to me riding to work with out front brake function one morning!
I had no choice , at least I work at the car dealership and my techs were able to bleed the brake fluid and she was good to go !
My buddy brought his GSXR and they damaged his pain with brake fluid and there was components left loose he noticed that later when he brought the bike home
guy who sells helmets and gear is a pompous ass , an arrogant person ! not a good time when you need help and to be stuck with him
Fantastic experience at Blackfoot. I have been dealing with sales, service, parts, accessories and the guys great. They are always there to help out. If you want accessories, talk to Mike Becker. He will go out of his way to help you out, price match and anything else in between. A real great group of people. Thanks a lot.
Honestly the worst customer service I ve ever experienced. Took my bike in for is first service, they neglected to address any issues I had. Suzuki should be ashamed to sell their product at Blackfoot.
You need to meet Mike at Blackfoot Motorsports. He was more than helpful - going above and beyond with equipping my Kawasaki with the right parts and accessory modifications. He has a ton of experience and passion for motorbikes!
They have customer service that will get the job done! High regards for Blackfoot!
I knew for the 2017 dirtbiking season that I was wanting to upgrade from my KTM 200 xcw. I wasn't quite sure which bike would be the next best purchase. I walked into Blackfoot Motosports and Blaire C. spent a lot of his time and attention discussing with me what exactly I was looking for and what would be best. Blaire answered all of my questions, explained features and considerations to myself that I didn't even think of. Once I purchased my new bike everything was taken care of so well by Blaire, I didn't have to worry about a thing. The day of pick up he went over all of the very important details. I would highly recommend going in to speak with Blaire if you're in the market for a new bike, his years of riding experience and knowledge can't be beat.
Great range of bikes and accessories friendly and helpful staff. Dealt with simon armstrong on my visit more than helpful
You'd swear the receptionist rehearses saying the parts counter is lined up. Everytime you call same answer yet you drive there and they're not busy. If you're that busy maybe hire more staff? When you do go there seem to never have any parts either. Such a shame used to be a great place.
This place is seriously the best toy shop in town! From the super friendly and knowledgable staff, looking at you Miles Cantafio, to the unbelievable inventory. The support that I received from the moment I walked in, to weeks after my purchase is outstanding. I could highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking to buy!
Great service, a little light on inventory but still worth shopping here
I enjoy dealing with Blackfoot on a Regular basis, Robert is the biggest help. He always is so prompt, friendly, and helpful when looking for any parts or accessories need! The service received is excellent and they are also super helpful when we need a unit looked at in a rush!
picked up my first motorcycle in Canada from Balckfoot and these guys have made my experience great. Tyler and Dorian were so helpful and made sure I got everything right.
Great deals, great people and amazing work.
Purchased my motorcycle and have taken bike in for initial service. Friendly staff and very helpful.
Been with these guys since the first day of riding. Tyler who is a very patient and friendly gentleman has helped me since day 1. Another s/o to Braiden on the sales team who also helped me to make the right decision on my second bike several month ago. Both fellas are knowledgeable and passionate towards what they do. Strongly recommend. Thanks guys!
Blackfoot's service and sales staff is world class and they carry all of the best brands (Dainese, Arai, Klim, Schuberth, Revit). I was in looking for a new jacket and Andrew was a huge help fitting me in the perfect Dainese jacket. His knowledge of the products was awesome, and I will definitely be back to see him for a new helmet this season!
Shopped at BM the other day and had a great experience! The place is well organized and the staff members (Daniel helped me) were excellently knowledgeable and eager to help. I would definitely return to this store. 5 stars.
My husband recently purchased a new Yamaha WR250F from them and was treated exceptional. From Ron Newman (sales manager)to the service department. Thank you
Blackfoot team is the best. Best bike service shop & service team I have encountered. I was a frustrated customer from the lack of help in an Edmonton shop, not to mention names but it's on 63 Avenue Edmonton that was no help... Blackfoot trouble shot my bikes issue & repaired it under warranty no questions asked. They always keep me in the loop & will drive 3 hour one way to get the A++ service My bike requires!!! Thanks Blackfoot Motorsports, you rock!!!!!! Jesse H BMW HP4 guy.
I had the pleasure of dealing with sales specialist Harsh on the purchase of a new bike. The whole process was the best I've had working with a salesman on a big purchase. He is extremely knowledgable about motorcycles, parts, gear and gave me some great advice about some things I wanted to get for the bike. He always comes and says hi when I am in the shop and has checked in with me to see how things are going with the new bike. When I picked the bike up I noticed some small surface scratches on a couple of fairings. He said that when I bring the bike in for the first service he will take care of it and he kept his word and personally took care of it for me. He brought out the buffer and some different compounds and did a great job with them. I am very impressed and Blackfoot is lucky to have him on their team. He definitely goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy. He gets 5 stars from me and I never give anyone 5 stars lol . Also worth mentioning are the service and parts people who have also been really great everytime I bring the bike in for service or have purchased parts and gear. Blackfoot is a great place with a really great team!
When I was looking to purchase my 2016 BMW R1200GS, I sure am glad I stopped into Blackfoot Motorsports. I was greeted by Rene Fontaine. Don't let his puppy dog eyes and fancy new hair cut fool you, this guy is passionate about motorcycles, and knows the BMW Motorrad lineup inside and out. He was able to answer any questions I had about the R1200GS. Every time I go into Blackfoot it's always a pleasure running into Rene.
I purchased a Triumph Bonneville T120 from Blackfoot Motosports this week. The overall experience was excellent. The Sales Advisor, Lindsay, was first class. His knowledge and enthusiasm for Triumph bikes was very evident and he couldn't do enough to help. This is the second bike I have bought from Blackfoot and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. Great job!!!
Ron Newman and Gavin Birchall "forced" me into demo ride on the Scott Genius E-mountain Bike! LOL! Turns out, these bikes ARE the real deal. I appreciate their generosity and taking the time to set me up, and to allow me to ride the bike. Its cool to see BFM getting into the E-Bike market. I have done a lot of business with Ron Newman over the years and I've always been super impressed with his level of professionalism and service. I'd strongly recommend Ron, Gavin, and George for your moto needs. Danika White is super knowledgeable and helpful if you are looking for a new moto kit on the accessory side. Great folks.
Went in looking for some advice on some gear, the guy at the accessory counter In the dirt bike area went above and beyond with customer service especially while also helping 2-3 other customers at the same time, no hesitation with any questions asked definitely knew what he was talking about. I was able to take my time and try on multiple helmets and boots without feeling pressured. One thing I think could be done better is the listing the prices on gear so customers don t have to ask all the time. Other than that I m very impressed.
Taylor did an excellent job of helping me out. Give her a shout if you need assistance with finding gear that works!
I regularly shop at Blackfoot for parts for my dirt bike. Scott at the parts counter has helped me get the best parts for the best price for my bike. He's very friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to parts. I will always be buying my parts from Scott in the future.
Mike at the parts desk really put his all into getting me the parts I need to put apes on my triump !
Wide variety of motorsports products. Friendly staff; however, my experience has never felt genuine as I feel like staff are trying to sell me on things with every interaction. Customer service phone reps also sound very impatient every time I make a call. Phone calls go much better once I actually get the department I'm calling for.
Bought a Triumph Bobber from Michael Szeles who was helpful and responsive. Bike arrived earlier than expected and I really like this bike- well put together and sounds great! First service and installation of heated grips was easy to schedule and went smoothly with no issues. I have enjoyed dealing with Blackfoot in the past and have bought most of my gear from them.
Been a customer here since 1989, 34 years later I don't have a single bad thing to say about them. Excellent staff, the service side of things is awesome.
Great service and don't make you feel like an idiot when your new to motorcycles.
Great products with intelligent advice. The guys in the parts department went above and beyond. Mike even pulled out some tools and helped adjust the SENA speakers in my helmet. You don't get that kind of service everywhere.
Once again, Simon went above and beyond for us. Messaged us when the bike we had on our "wish list " showed up asap and made things happen! So knowledgeable about the bike and no nonsense about the price point and just amazing customer service. He made my hubbys 40th surprise birthday present the best one EVER! Thank you Simon!
I purchased a Triumph Tiger with the assistance of sales staff Paul Millar. Excellent experience all around! I would highly recommend seeing him if you are interested in purchasing any motorcycle at Blackfoot!
Went to buy Ducati accessories and Michael of Parts helped me a lot. Thanks. Checked some motorcycles and everyone asked me if I need some help. You can feel there's no pressure if you are just browsing for another bike.
Thanks wone and the whole team for doing a great job with my trade in and new purchase!
I just bought my first Motorcycle, a Suzuki DRZ400, and Blackfoot Motosports in Calgary was excellent to deal with! Braiden Gordon took great care of me. He has tonnes of knowledge and answered every question I had as a novice rider. Talking to Braiden was like working with a 30 expert; and at only 26 years old. He obviously loves what he does. Braiden covered everything off from getting me on the right bike, then giving me a complete rundown on it and even made sure it was loaded down on my truck just right.
In fact the whole Team at Blackfoot took great care of me, including Taylor who helped make sure I got the right helmet for my riding.
Thanks Blackfoot Motosport!
Great store and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable.
My visits here have been.. average. There's barely any women's gear, and the parts counter staff can be busy and intimidating.
Good customer service ones i got it, sorted out my order that had been mixed up.
I just wanted to give a shout out to Doug MacRae at Blackfoot Motosports and say thanks for his help! its appreciated.
I was helped by Simon Armstrong in the sales department of Blackfoot Motorsports - and I must pass on my thanks for the excellent service he provided. Between his broad background on various types of bikes and his mechanical knowledge plus experience in riding - he answered all my questions and made my decision on bikes very easy. His follow up on any questions I had after I had left with the bike was excellent. I recommend anyone looking for a new or "used" bike to ask for Simon - I've been riding for many years and Simon is the best person I've come across - with no pressure!
I picked up a new BMW R1200 GSA triple Black. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had to trailer the bike back to Lethbridge and the sales staff helped me with making sure it was secured properly. The bike rides like a dream.. Loving every minute with it.
Dorian Wegener is an amazing hand, thanks for all your help loading my bike and walking me through everything!
David Bloomfield hands down one of the best salesmen, walked me through the shop helped me pick the bike for me, answered my million texts on when I can pick up my bike, super friendly and easy to deal with! 5 stars for both men!
Can't even count the number of time Ron Newman has helped me out... He's the guy if you're looking for a great buying experience.
Miles was a huge help in helping me build and order a stunning White Panigale V2! Thanks for the great costumer service!
great motorcycle dealership Freindly and helpful staff always help me get the right things for my motorcycle
