Bisk Education Review

Every department complains that they are compensated well below the industry average and that their technology is TERRIBLE. The computers at the tiny cubicles are a day away from going blue screen of death on their user as their processors whine. I've seen whole days of productivity wasted as computers lock up or completely crash and no one is able to fix or replace it.

Almost as bad as the technology is the quality of managers - notice I said manager not leaders. These people are so selfish and childish caring more about the size of their office and parking spots than their teams. They'd rather spend funds renovating offices to make them bigger and putting in additional reserved spots than giving raises to hard working employees.

Its almost a 50/50 split between reserved spots and free spots. Its a bigger violation to park in one of those spots than to miss a deadline. Priorities are so crazy here.

If I could give a zero I would. Worst customer service I've ever seen. $95 dollars down the drain for books I can't use and all I'm told is sorry no returns!

Good company with a heavy focus on the employee engagement. Lots of training, upper management heavily engaged even to new hires. Different areas all work together; from software, enrollment, development, and management. Any position is a foot in the door to a career.

If you love micro management, politics and being treated like a child then you should work here! HR only looks after the company. Managers treat you like you re trash then smile like you re friends. If you leave they steal your PTO that you work for! If you don t have pto and you miss a day, you re fired.
Company is hurting. High turnover shows how great the company is. The job is easy but I d rather play in traffic then deal with management

If I could give them a -5, I would. DO NOT USE THIS INSTITUTION AT ALL! When I was engaged, my fiance died on the phone with me. I contacted my professor and let him know what was going on. I ended up arguing with tech support because the CD that they sent me was faulty and it took them over half of the semester to get me a CD that worked. I ended up withdrawing from the university and they still sent me books for the next semester. I sent the package back in its original packaging with everything that they sent me. Not only did I send it back, they claimed that I was missing a CD in the package that I didn't even open. They charged me $80 for something that I never received. I have been arguing with them over 5 years about charging me for something that I never received. I have even filed a fraud report against them, which I'm pretty such that they will be getting soon. Not only that. I got D in the course that I took due to me not being able to get my assignment in because the CD did not work that the school created for me. I withdrew from them and went to Capella where I finished my master's and graduated with a 3.88 GPA and was inducted into the honor society. This is by far the WORST online institution that I ever encountered. They are insensitive and their customer service is the worst! It took them over 6 months to process my supplemental withdrawal and I have made it my business to let EVERYONE know to RUN away from them! I'm still battling with them. They are extremely unethical and even refuse to pull my calls where I let them know that I returned their materials in the original package so I have no idea if anything was missing because I just put return to sender on the package and they still charged me. I really wish that they would go out of business and stop screwing people over. They also claimed that I had a balance after my withdrawal and refused to tell me what for until they reported my account to the credit bureaus once again for something that I never received. I have proof of all of this and it's sad that they want to attract people by promising them things that they will NEVER deliver. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT sign up for these people. I hate writing reviews for people in general but someone needs to be saved from disasters like this and especially from reps who make statements such as "well we're sorry to hear that not only did your fiance did and your mom get hospitalized the day of his funeral and we were late processing everything, but since we cannot prove that you never received your material, we have to charge you anyways although we did receive the rest of your material". Like I asked them, why would I send some of the materials knowing that I was withdrawing from your school and keep something that must be used with the other material? You'll thank me later for telling you about this disaster of an institution!

Do not utilize this company for your education needs. Career Army Officer with 2 Master Degrees. Decided to take a Masters Certificate Program. They are great and very responsive, but when they receive your signed enrollment papers, that all changes. You can never get any issues resolved. Total joke of an education experience when half of the classes are just slides for you to review. Then they state they sent me a book, which I never received. Then I am harassed everyday with calls and emails and threats from their collections department. Worst experience of my life.

I'm giving one star based on the interview process alone. I applied for a position here even though the reviews are far less than favorable. The first call was with a gentleman named Jonas. His questions were pointless and his tone was very flat. When the second phone screening call came, the gentleman that called me sounded rude and arrogant. He asked me a bunch of negative questions like he was trying to deter me from working there before I even got a chance to! His tone was also very flat and he seemed uninterested in the conversation. He asked me did I have any question . Hell no! My only question was WHY DO YOU DESERVE ME! I can tell this place is trash based on the reviews and the little interaction I had just over the phone. I couldn't imagine walking into this place to work each day!

What a joke!! This company lures you in under the belief that the position of Lead Generation Rep is a nice sit down office job where you will be interacting with potential students and assisting them with information as to which college they will attend. It's all a lie!! Most of the customers you'll be making calls to aren't even interested and have already told Bisk numerous times to remove them from the dialer!! My first week I had people using explicit language and threatening me, I had one woman scream so loud that I had to take off my headset. Management won't do a single thing to help you and actually expects you to create leads from the irate calls. The last straw for me was being told by my boss that I would have to stay on the line, and listen to an irate call until THEY hung up!!! I walked out the same day, its not worth the crummy $10/hr they pay you. Its barely above being a telemarketer, RUN FOR THE HILLS!!

Great company to work for, they have funded my MBA program 100% since the day I have worked for them. You have to work hard for the company but they will work hard for you as well. I really enjoy working for the company and sad to hear so many complaints because that is not the environment I experience.

This school is a big rip off. They let me start school without letting me know that my financial aid wasn't released to them. So now I'm in debt 3,000 something that my financial aid could've covered. Do not go to this school

DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS INSTITUTION! I applied for the RN to BSN program, With copy of the transcripts they registered me as a non curricular student in the RN to BSN while wating for the official transcripts with the promise that with the arriving of the Official transcripts they will change my status to curricular student. I started class and at the second day supposedly my satus changed, but never mentioned to me me that I was registered on the Basic RN program and I needed to start from scratch even though I am a registered Nurse. They just noticed that my school is not nationally accredited! Now I am in the third week and this lady called to informed me that the tuition fee is not going to be reimbursed.
And I have to keep paying my bi weekly fee of $295.

Horrible customer service, agents don t know what s going on and they will not team up with the school to assist students with issues after being enrolled. They continue to pass the buck until you figure it out on your own.

Wish there was a lower rating than one. BISK is an absolutely terrible company to do business with. I do not understand why some universities use them for student services. I have gone through multiple student representatives and each one has been less than helpful and don't seem to care about anything than collecting payments, regardless if they are correct. The financial department has also screwed up my billing and sent out for VA certification for a class that I had not even requested Post 9/11 benefits for. It is truly frustrating when you have to step on toes to do other people's jobs for them. If you can avoid BISK, please do so.

I currently work at Bisk in the Marketing Department and have really enjoyed my journey here. I have been able to collaborate with some really talented professionals across multiple disciplines. The company has afforded me various opportunities to improve my business skills over the past 2 years and have rewarded me with a solid career progression that I can be proud of. In the past 2 years, the atmosphere is only getting better and our President is truly dedicated to making Bisk a top place to work in Tampa Bay.

My transcripts are being held hostage for $19.22. A returned book charge that I paid for. Now I have a hold on my account.

Bisk Education is not registered with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but does have several complaints listed. University Alliance is Bisk Education's umbrella brand, which also has endless negative complaints online. Check out the rip off report for Bisk and University Alliance.

Bisk and University Alliance degree and certificate courses are out of date or inaccurate. San Fran's internet marketing certificates are barely even relevant as most of the information is from prior to 2010. Don't waste your money.

The culture at Bisk is disappointing. Departments constantly fight against each other and avoid blame. Employees at Bisk are treated poorly and underpaid. Performance metrics and KPIs are contradictory. Mediocre performance is promoted. No parking - be prepared to take a bus to your car. Employees are fired for "performance" with no paper trail of poor performance write ups. Management is often poor leaders and never given the proper training or industry knowledge to manage teams. Overall, Bisk and University Alliance are not desirable to work for.

This really hurts & upsets me to be writing this review on what I truly once respected and enjoyed a place of employment. My long term plans & goals with BISK ended as of today. They hired me as Senior Enrollment Representative for the Certificate Dept over a year ago; with 10 years experience in Education Admissions (campus & online), I was treated like an entry level, or even lower level employee. I have never experienced such degrading & piss poor management. From undermining what the CEO s vision really is, to no integrity & micromanaging throughout the entire 8 hour shift; the culture shifted immensely over the last 6 months. No leadership at all & the sad part is they don t even see the problem and won t admit there is such favoritism among the department. The company itself is pretty fair and decent, but the MANAGEMENT IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. The revolving door will keep on spinning & I pray one day Mike Bisk realizes that so many people s livelihoods have been affected. Now; I am out of a job and suffering because of selfish men & women that have no regard of others & their lives. So much for being BOLD, REMARKABLE & HUMBLE ... Unfortunately- these 3 pillars are NOT AT ALL PRACTICED.

Ruthless. I broke my shoulder lost my mother and my daughter was murdered in a domestic violence situation and THE day I qualified for long term disability they called to tell me I was terminated. I might mention I was one of the top sales people.!i started work there on commission and that was changed. I am sure this is also why they do not offer short term disability. Not a good company

The financial services are the worse, was promise to follow up with but never did. Ended up having to get up with them several times and issues still not resolve. Had to cancel class and returned the book that never used but ended up having to pay anyways ?!? Will never attend any online class with bisk ever again.

President of company is indecisive and shows a lack of direction and strategy. He has put the future of the company in self proclaimed experts that believe strategy is going on slideshare and finding what other companies are doing and trying to copy it. Unfortunately, these presentations they find do not talk about the great people behind them. Something that is key to changing culture.

Spend more time on listening to your employees and fixing the issues that cause the problems instead of creating a new logo and website to hide them.

The absolute worst! They sent me a book for a class I registered for, and at the last minute the class was cancelled because there were not enough students. I took a different class instead to complete my Villanova Course. They then proceeded to harass and demand I pay for the return of the book I never used, and only had in my possession because they cancelled the course at the last minute! I am on the verge of pursing legal action for bad business practices and wrongful purpose.

beyond annoying that my university is connected to this company. there is ALWAYS an issue and nobody can answer your questions.

Horrible culture and place to work. Most unprofessional company I have ever worked for. They make you sign a non compete and then you realize they are in the bottom of the pay grade in the industry. Don't waste your time their policies are archiac and they are out of touch.

I've been at this company for two years... they died me after maternity leave... the reason being sending the wrong template to student... I know that was a lie... they claim we don't sale education that's a lie we have a goal of 20k or better if you don't meet that you get write up... there polices always change.. never informind employees of anything... the management sucks they never know anything... they don't know how to manage there teams... they show so much favoritism.. you get paid less to do so much woek. Nothing going is consistent... it was a great company the momemt after I had my baby that's where. They showed to true colors. It's like I was wro.g for having a baby and taking leave... they are big time liars.. do to work for this worthless company... you will never get a promotion u less you kiss and sleep with the dean... or management and get feed leads.. you work super hard for nothing
