Such a cute and quaint little downtown area with many local shops and eateries. I enjoyed it's unique charm very much!
It s a tough job but someone gotta do it and these guys do it best.
Anything downtown is awesome!! Try out The Rooster and the Crow...that place is the New Place to go for eats!! The food is Delish!!
It's a beautiful place to spend your day...either shopping unique stores or finding the perfect place for lunch, then a walk by the waterfront...just beautiful
These guys do a tremendous service to Wilmington, encouraging and supporting businesses to locate into the Port City.
downtown s not safe I feal like I'm going To get shot down hear . Stay away
Downtown Wilmington is my favorite place to go and live out of all the places I've live in NC & VA and visited all over the country I called downtown wilm home for many years and am on a couple more years of work before I get back there for good and can't wait. All types live here, the modestly rich, the upper-middle, middle, low-end, poverty, no judgements made on anyone either it's such an open and diverse part of town which is part of why I love it. you can find a cheap stupio apt or a nice 3bd house to rent or buy and so many things to walk to! bars, restaurants, shops, record stores, ice cream, coffee, children's museum, historical buildings and museums, festivals, parades, farmers markets, you never really need to drive anywhere! and all the history makes it an even more reason to visit and stay. I never wanted to leave.
Many restaurants, different options, interesting shops great place to chill
Hands down the most beautiful place I've visited in a very long time. Wilmington holds itself true to its historic life but also offers a fun and festive modern spirit. Beautiful shops, gorgeous views and lovely kind locals willing to make your stay/visit one to remember. If you're on the east coast this is a must for your travel list.
I love this town. Love the history & the views are great. Best fireworks on the 4th ever
Fun to walk along the boardwalk. I was surprised at how short the walk is though.
Nice area, but needs more shopping stores for younger crowds
The downtown area has gone through many changes over the last few years. There are lots of great places to eat and drink at all times of the day. If shopping is what you desire, don't worry there is something for everyone
More renovations occurring daily
I love it it could be more places like this what's the downtown need to grow a little bit more for the population of people that they have
The waterfront and surrounding area is hip with lots of things to do. There is a brewery, artisan collectives, antique stores, coffee shops, boutiques, dining from budget to high end, and full of historic places to see. Some of the area is undergoing renovation/restoration for new restaurants and shops. There is something to do from the single bar seen to serene romantic moonlit strolls by shops and water. There is a lot of character and charm.
However, in recent stay downtown, there has been an increase in beggars and homeless that feel entitled to harass people who walk by or refuse to give them money. Just in a 3 hour period, we have been called all sorts of explitives. Downtown Wilmington would be better served to have shelters to help them, but to have strict rules to prevent them from harrassing those who bring business there.
Beautiful old historic homes. Well preserved and meticulously maintained.
It's HOME.. Lived here all my life. Seen lots of changes. Lots of memories. I was born in 1944.
I loved everything about downtown. So much to look at look and do
I had a great time at Wrightsville Beach and Steve at downtown Wilmington in Airbnb.
Atmosphere in downtown great.
Visit Floriana Italian restaurant in downtown Wilmington. Food was absolutely delicious and ambience was wonderful. I will be back soon
Really nice waterfront with friendly people and good for young children as compared to New Orleans.
Downtown Wilmington is always beautiful and educational. Great for tourists, shoppers, and foodies.
Love the "art district" as I call it. So many beautiful galleries to see and so many artists work to admire! Just not enough hours in the day to see them all! Definitely a do over again and again!
Downtown here is amazing. I'm proud to be a part of the river walk.
They do very good work supporting downtown promoting and special events
I like walking downtown on the riverfront it's really nice they have done alot of work to make it a nice setting
Always a treat to head for downtown, it's so nice to see all the shops and restaurants putting life back into our downtown. Being born and raised here it's nice to share mine and my family's history with my children. Our history here in Wilmington and the Cape Fear region is amazing, everywhere you look is history, take time to read the historical marker signs along the roads in downtown. There's never any place better than home.
I love the experience composition they have created over the years!
Great shops and restaurants. Love the atmosphere!!
Very nice place to be with a beautiful scenery people doing tricks singing songs love riding the horse again it's tour
Very hard to find street parking when only there 30 minutes or so.
Love downtown Wilmington! Great restaurants and shops!
Beautiful! They just fixed up a bunch of the roads and boardwalk areas. Restaurants, shopping, awesome ice cream! Trolly, horse drawn tours! And the view of the battleship across the river is cool too. Boat tours! And more!
Doing an update to the entire building 4 Monteith Construction
Wilmington is full of culture and life. Lots of local shops, bars, and good eats. Lots of architecture, and overall an amazing experience
Very nice atmosphere. Very safe place and good tourism representation the. Great walking area along the riverfront. Pet friendly and many restaurants there allow pets on their patios.
Loved it! Downtown Wilmington is a well kept secret. Kind of earthy but great vibe.
Lots of shops and places to eat. If you like quaint towns this is the place for you.
Many things to do downtown. Trolley system and night life also
I love downtown. Except for when there's alot of people. Amazing shops and eateries. Plus an amazing view
Great vibe. Water on one side, live action beer, ice cream, music, foodnon the other. What else could you want?
The Historical District reminds me of Gone With The Wind
historic places for visitors Wilmington in process of growing town
Love Downtown atmosphere!! Great shopping...Great food!!
E and my husband take walks down there with our dog Pudda.
If you're visiting Wilmington it is worth the stop. Walk along the waterfront and window shop the area to get a relaxing scene of the town. The waterfront walk is very quick but you can get a great view of the USS North Carolina.
This organization does so much for Downtown Wilmington! Ed is dedicated and obviously has a love of, and knack for, downtowns and their return to glory as the gathering place of the community.
Love the historic atmosphere. My sons enjoyed themselves.
This part of Wilmington is beautiful and is wonderful for walking and people-watching. There are many places to eat and to procure alcoholic beverages. The Riverwalk is worth seeing and if you can find a place to eat on the river, you can see the ships and boats as they slide by. Many people we saw were walking their dogs and one of the restaurants we ate at had a bowl set out for them.
