We had our wedding at the Marriott Biscayne Bay this past Oct 24th, 2015. I wouldn't wish what happened to us to any other bride. We live in Omaha, NE and our dream was to get married (ceremony) with an amazing view (the bay in this case). We decided to go with the Marriott after touring 10 different hotels, because the view was exactly what we wanted. Everything else (hotel, reception room, etc) was pretty standard to any other hotels of this category. Anyways, from the time we arrived to Miami to after we left the communication with Bertha Galindo was great, she was eager to help and of course get us to sign the contract. And after we did... communication stopped. I got transfer to a different event planner which was no different in regards with the communication process. It took her about 2 months to get me 1 picture of the linens we were going to use. We tried to keep a positive attitude and arrived to Miami one week before our wedding to get everything finalized. We went to the menu tasting (food was amazing, probably the only good thing along with the chef and catering staff). At that point they informed us that our ceremony venue (our dream venue) was not the one we agreed upon when we visited the hotel for the first time. They were extremely rude to the point that they made me cry three days before my wedding. I don't think I've ever cried so hard, my hands were shaking and I didn't even get to enjoy my food tasting. Bertha had the nerves to tell me that she never took me to the site in question (I had pictures that proved otherwise). They said that they had the area with the bay view booked before we even went to Miami for the first time. We asked them to show us the contracts with the dates that they were signed to see who signed them first and they refused to do so. After two hours of the bride and groom both crying and desperate, this super rude manager entered the room where we were tasting the menu and ONLY said: You are getting married at the lower deck terrace, let's move on. I didn't even understand what he was referring to. Martha Mayea my new event planner had to explain that they gave us back our original venue. I felt relief but that did not help my nerves with our wedding coming up in two days.
The day of the wedding we decided to leave all behind and enjoy our day. It turns out it rained half way through our wedding ceremony and we had to move to the back-up room inside. When we arrived to the back-up room the room was not ready. All my groomsmen and even the priest had to help the personnel to accommodate the chairs to finish the ceremony. It was ridiculous. All of our guests standing next to the door waiting for them to put 50 chairs in two rows for about 20 minutes. Everything ran late after that. There was no communication to our guests either. After the ceremony they took us and the wedding party to take pictures and no one told the guests, who were looking for us to congratulate us. The cocktail hour was held next to the electrical stairs which was a tiny space for 60 people, and nobody knew what to do, where to go, nothing. It was like we say in my country "un despelote" a total mess.
My overall experience was terrible and I regret making the decision to go with the Marriott for my wedding.

Great location, nice breakfast and lounge. Except for three things make me wanna lower the ratings. Firstly, my welcome amenity, 1000 pts was missing on my folio. Secondly, the housekeeping was very unfamiliar with the make a green choice (MGC). If they didn t see a sign on the door, they should clean up the room, it s not means for three consecutive days without housekeeping, a member can choose the day they want by putting on the sign. The in-app messenger lady even told me I can only get 500pts for four nights MGC. Big NO, it s 500pts/night, 2000 in total. Luckily the front desk makes it right when I was checking out. Thirdly, I don t like the lady who servers Elite Checkin Lane. She said we have many Platinum/Titanium members here , those words didn t makes me feel like an valuable customer.

Nice hotel, great location.

Nice hotel, great location.
It is very close to the free metro mover station, which is free transport in Miami.
Close to other attractions too, e.g. bayside marketplace shopping.

I stayed here (room 1224) with my boyfriend as well as two of our friends from 11OCT18 - 15OCT18. We had the most amazing time! Mr. Cesario, I want to let you know that Marjorie S. - Lobby Ambassador / Concierge - is an invaluable asset to Marriott! She has gained Marriott Miami two more customers for life! Anytime we travel to Miami, we'll be staying with Marriott, to see her. Marjorie was instrumental in helping us find out more info about your Brightline Rail System (which a lot of locals are not aware of just yet). She went above and beyond to help us get to the Brightline for a trip we planned, to Ft. Lauderdale. The horrible experience we had getting to the Brightline Station was not due to anything concerning Marjorie, but when she saw us come back into the lobby shortly after leaving on our venture, she immediately came to check on us (really me). I was very discouraged and disappointed that we missed our reservations, but Marjorie told me to cheer up and to try again the next afternoon. She even went as far as to call ahead for us and then gave us the Brightline schedule for the next day! What a gem! With her positive attitude and help, we accomplished our goals the next day! I can't thank her enough. The entire Marriott team was fantastic, I don't want to leave them out. Thank you for the excellent quality of service you provide. I highly recommend staying at Marriott Biscayne Bay, if traveling to Miami.

I cant believe I was ask to turn the TV in my room OFF by security because they were walking in the hallway and though it was to loud. I told them is just a movie and that's the TV not a radio, they ask me to leave the hotel if I didn't want to turn the TV OFF i feel violated.

This review has nothing to do with the staff, but the incident happened at this location so I feel a review needs to be made.

We stayed here for one night with our son before a cruise leaving from Port of Miami. We had booked our reservations months in advance and I had called weeks prior to confirm a baby bed for our 8 month old. I then called again the day of arrival (several hours before our flight, about 9 hours before we'd arrive on the property) to confirm that we'd have a bed for our son.

When we arrived, the staff told us they did not have a bed available for our child and that a bed for a baby is "a privilege and never a guarantee." After reminding them that I had specifically called and been told that a bed for our son was on our reservation multiple times, they said there was nothing they could do because all the infant cribs were occupied.

1. This is a Marriott policy issue; do not tell a customer that you are reserving a bed for their child if you are not, in fact, doing just that.

2. If this was the case, Marriott should have, on the spot, done whatever necessary to get a bed for us from any hotel in the city that they could, no matter the cost. Instead, they told us to put our 8-month old on the floor and pack pillows around him or to try putting him in between us under the covers while we sleep. We had to explain what SIDS is and how their suggestions could have quite literally killed our child.

All in all, the staff was friendly, never rude, but I have some serious issues with this policy issue and even after being fully refunded the next morning, will try my best to avoid Marriott's in the future and will tell anyone I know traveling with children to do the same.

If you have kids, do your self a favor and don't stay here.

I am an Event, and Travel Manager for the Federal Government and this particular trip consisted of the planning and coordination of a trip for 70 international and U.S. military personnel. This hotel was able to accommodate such a large group.
Conveniently located on the harbor, this hotel offered great views and easy access to shops, restaurants, and a short drive to South Beach and the Wynwood Art District. The check-in was a breeze thanks to the excellent customer service representatives as our Sales Manager, Albert Baez. Albert was readily available before, during, and after check-out.

Highlights:
Spacious rooms with great views of the water/cruise ships
Walking distance to grocery store and eateries.
Pool/Hot tubs on the 5th floor and tons of meeting spaces
Several restaurants and bars on the premises.

Cons:
The hotel did not offer a simple option for free wifi - Forces each traveler to become a BonVoy member to access "complimentary" internet.

Overall I had a great stay at this hotel! 5 stars!

The hotel is not what they show in pictures! Extremely dirty pool deck , everything looks dated. This hotel need a complete renovation ! Besides i only got two large towels in my room , and called more than 3 times to get another set of towels which we never got ! We ended up reusing towels! First time in my whole life that I ve experience this issue ! Totally ruined my stay !

My family and I stayed there a couple weeks ago. We had a great experience. The front staff were friendly. Food was amazing. Close to home just wanted a family getaway for the weekend and we made the right choice. Will recommend. Definitely worth the stay.

I had exceptional service during my stay at the Marriott Biscayne Bay . I was staying at the hotel for business purposes and had an unanticipated need for computer and printing services. The staff provided exceptional support and troubleshooting, including investing personal time to ensure I was able to address my work needs. It was amazing!!!

The hotel is ok. The rooms are pretty standard. The whole setup of the hotel and shops connected are set up beautifully. The staff at the restaurant are welcoming and friendly. The only issue is checking in. There was confusion as to when our rooms would be available. At first they were not able to find us on their system (luckily we printed out everything before arriving). Then they said our rooms would be ready in 2 hours. Almost 3 hours later, still not available and there was no communication from the previous check-in person to the replacement. That took awhile and away from the experience.
Be careful when ordering from the restaurant, very spendy. I highly recommend going outside to other restaurants to save cash and have tastier meals.

The rooms were decent, breakfast was great, when a bar shuts down at 1am while there are still 50+ people including 2 presidential candidates, you should make an exception and let the business make money and staff earn tips. Bartenders don't know how to make an old fashion either. Yes, the bar weighs 40% of overall satisfaction in my book.

Adore this place. Have been so many times now, I have lost count. A smorgasbord of foods to delight anyone's palate. We had tickets in the luxury box area this time.....fancy, fancy. Super clean and no wait restrooms, goodies that aren't available in other places of the park. Carmel apple slices and strawberry shortcake......so good. Truly our happy place. Went to a lot more games this season. Sad its coming to an end, but we will be back again next yr. Beautiful park, lots of good eats and a fun, family friendly vibe.

Beautiful hotel, fabulous views. Check- in/check out a little slow, though. It took 15 minutes before they sent help, and the line was 6 deep when we joined it. Maybe it was a bad morning as I can't see a hotel of this caliber not providing excellent service.

Big rooms. Very comfortable bed. Big screen TV connected to the Internet. A small balcony. The bathroom door is opened inside the bathroom. That is very uncomfortable when using the toilet. Amenities are a shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and a body cream. Also available is a hair dryer. In the room itself is a small coffeemaker. Next to it there are couple of coffee pillows for the coffeemaker. Breakfast was nice. I would welcome more fruits and vegetables. Egg station is available. Home made granola is offered. Juices and coffee or tea is provided by the staff. In my coffee pot there were coffee bits inside. Later on I have ordered a burger delivered to my room. I like it medium well. The meat though was rather burnt.

This is the 2nd time we ve stayed here. Hotel is clean. Has plenty of seating area in the lobby. They have a great bar in the restaurant with great bartenders giving great service, thank you, guys. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced . The only reason I didn t give it a five star, is because we booked Bay View, And when we got here, all of the Bayviews were taken. The person that checked us in, did seem to try his best to give us the best room possible. Room was clean. They do have a pool area and bar with plenty of space. The bartender that helped us on Thursday July 26 around noon was very friendly and gave us great service. So 4 stars for hotel and 5 stars for all the employees who helped us while we were there.
