My experience with Bill Kay was a positive one, which is rare it seems with most dealerships today. First, April and her staff was very accessible online which is nice for the more tech savvy customers. I was able to work out the basic pre-approval online along with lining up what cars I was interested in.

Once at the dealership Joe Pantaleo (sales) was very helpful and Joe along with Chris Baumann (Assistant Manager) were very accommodating and worked hard to get me into the vehicle I was looking for. They knew the range of payment I was looking for monthly and were able to get me into the vehicle I wanted below my expected monthly payment.

I have bought many vehicles new and old and this has definitely been one of the best if not the best and easiest car buying experiences I have had. When all was said and done I walked out with a nearly flawless used BMW 330i and couldn't be happier. I will definitely recommend Bill Kay to friends and family and will continue to do business with them in the future.

No more courtesy car from the service department. If you charge premium prices you should offer premium service. They offered courtesy cars for a long time so you could come pick up your vehicle. Not anymore

Bad experience all around. I may have bad credit but I had enough money down that I could have gone to a different dealer. I picked this dealer because it was close to where i was going to be for the day and I was on a very tight schedule. I work 2 jobs and had not had a day off in 2 months. They also offered to wait on the title of my trade in so I thought why not. Sales lady i had was jennifer, when i picked a couple of cars to look at i got attitude as they were at the other location and that was too much for them to deal with. When I picked a car it smelled so badly of smoke i told her i didn't want it, she assured me they would get rid of the smell. Hiding the smoke smell does not count for getting rid of it. They put 2 new tires on but did not balance them and did not put matching tires together on the front, needless to say I had a wobble when going over 60. That is basic maintenance, that does not cost them anything, that just shows you what kind of dealership they are. They lied about the oil change which was supposedly just done.I am now overdue for the oil change and have had the car for less than a month. i had to threaten to bring the car back to get some of the issues fixed. I thought that as they were a big dealership they would care more about their customers. I was very wrong. The car now smells like chemicals and i felt sick on the way home driving it. over a week later and i still have the smell. I felt they were patronizing when i went back to the dealer for the 3rd time out of my 6th visit they were too busy to help because it was a busy saturday, i'm sorry my time is not important.
so to summarize, employees with attitude, service techs who can't do basic maintenance and detailers who don't care about the condition of the car that is to be sold.
the crazy thing is all of these were easy low cost fixes that will end up costing them customers because not only did i put this review up but I told everyone I know about the bad experience

Loved my purchase from there. But the service department are down right crooks. They charge you for a diagnoses even if nothing is wrong. Problem is, something was wrong and it just got worse because they told me it was nothing. Now, it's a much bigger issue and getting fixed somewhere else because I'm not getting ripped off and stolen from again by Bill Kay on Ogden. Thieves if you ask me.

Avoid Service at ALL costs. My husband worked with BLAKE at the service department with an engine light issue. The FIRST visit they found a BROKEN part, which was replaced at the cost of $800. The day AFTER we picked up the truck, the engine light went on again. BLAKE said before the first repair that the issue was one of two problems. They had seen this issue in this model vehicle in the past (3 other vehicles) and because the light went on a second time, it had to be the OTHER valve. $600 later, the light still went on. BLAKE admits that they replaced a part that WAS NOT BROKEN during the second repair and "its possible that the tech neglected to turn off the codes". BLAKE further cannot confirm that this was the case the FIRST time we had the truck in for service. So, this service department is in the business of REPLACING PARTS THAT ARE NOT BROKEN and charging their customers. Further, they are in the business of ADMITTING THEY COULD HAVE MADE A MISTAKE in turning off the codes and upholding their customers to fees. BLAKE stammers when he speaks, he doesn't actually know what's going on. BLAKE'S position is that because my husband approved the second repair (at no point was he told that the part they were replacing was NOT BROKEN) that we should be liable for the repair work. They now claim that they have since driven the vehicle more than 80 miles AFTER MAKING NO FURTHER REPAIRS that the engine light does not go on and they don't see anything wrong with it. Hm. I wonder if they turned off the code this time and that's why. We will NEVER visit this service department again. They lie and cheat their customers. My credit card company will be notified as will the Better Business Bureau. WARNING to anyone who trusts BLAKE or the service department at Bill Kay Chevrolet!

UPDATE: Tom the Service Manager called me because he learned I was "threatening" them with a negative review. Tom is argumentative and unhelpful. He stands by the replacement of parts that are NOT BROKEN and the fact that we were charged $600 for a repair for which their only evidence is three other vehicles that were fixed "the same way". The only difference is that my vehicle light went back on after said fix. They have had the car a week and for them, the light remains off. Hm. I wonder if they finally reset the code after collecting my $600 and now it's fixed. What a MIRACLE!

My Experience with Bill Kay has been horrible . I went in twice . I am upside down in my vehicle so was not surprised when told would need a down payment . I was told if I could come back with $2000 they were 100% sure would be financed due to the fact I have been paying on current vehicle for over 3 years and never ever missed any payments or late. I go in with the $2000 a few months later . They go through process again of verifying my job and pay . I was railroaded . I was denied due to the fact that they now tell me not long enough on new job . I have been in the same field for the past 17 years . I recently had taken a new job in same field with same pay but closer to my home where now living . I told them this up front but assured me no problem . Well I now am still receiving denial letters from over the 25 or so finance companies that pulled my credit to finance . They have caused my credit score to go down tremendously with all the inquiries .

Went to buy an used F150 2018. They were willing to negotiate. Sales manager is a bit of a bulldog, I would use another word, but only talked to him for about 1 minute. Too aggressive, I am always willing to talk. Take it or leave it attitude. Financing was forever, they were understaffed. Got a good deal on an extended warranty. Just avoid the sales manager and walk out.

Purchased a used van from Bill Kay Chevrolet. I was wary of the process because of the stories you hear about shady used cars salesmen. Can confidently say I did not have that experience at Bill Kay. From the start, they were respectful, patient, and honest. They gave clear explanations of pricing and options, including things like why the cash price was higher than the financing price for a vehicle (bank kickbacks, for those interested). And they were willing to make deals and do what they could to make the experience as seamless as possible with all of the discounts they could offer. They were upfront about what they could and couldn't offer, and I never felt like they went back on their word. The entire experience took less than 4 hours, and I felt no concerns throughout the process. I would definitely buy from Bill Kay Chevrolet again. In particular, Paul Degrazia was a very helpful salesman. Highly recommended!

I would highly recommend you not waste your time at this Chevrolet dealer. I bought a used car here and not even 2 weeks later the check engine light came on. I called and asked them if they could do anything about it and they said no and that I would be charged to have them diagnose what was wrong with the car. When I was on the phone with them I was put on hold several times and kept being transferred to different people. Horrible customer service and they sold me a car that doesn't even work. No dealer has treated me like they did and their quality is not what they promised it would be.

Paul was very understanding of a personal budget I had in place for myself, and the type of vehicle I was looking to buy. We had a lot of give and takes with different models, and eventually found a car that fit my needs, and close enough to my price. Once we both started "pushing pennies", we were able to come to a reasonable price for the vehicle, that didn't break my bank and still allowed the dealership to make their money. I have already passed along Paul's information to a few co-workers of mine!

Purchased a Chevy Silverado from Don McCue less than 2 weeks ago. It came with a certified warranty. In less than 2 weeks the truck broke down. Burning, thumping, completely stopped working. Had it towed to Bill Kay since it was the nearest Chevy dealer around and Carl has refused to give me any info. We are supposed to receive a courtesy car and have not been given one. I have been forced to rent a car at my own expense. When I spoke to him to find out if we were going to be reimbursed he informed me that we "may get reimbursed" but it must be a chevy, gmc, cadillac, or a buick. I had to return the nissan altima and am now in a chevy again at my own cost. Carl is very condescending he has stated at least 50 times that he is following protocol. Customer service is piss poor. The breakdown happened on a Thursday. I followed up 10 minutes before it was 24 hours on Friday and was informed that it has been less than 24 hours and there is nothing to be done, protocol! Bill Kay has done nothing to help me, Don Mccue has done nothing to help us. It seems that we are now out $30k for a piece of crap! Buyer beware!!!!

As a first time Chevy owner, I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the service received at Bill Kay. My 1 month old Chevy Volt stalled and died while on the highway near Lisle. GM's roadside service left me on the highway for 90 minutes with no heat in my car with 9 degree outside temperatures. The tow truck driver dropped the car off around 6pm at the nearest Chevy dealer - Bill Kay. Service said that they could not provide me with a loaner vehicle and that current loaners are reserved for those who previously made appointments. I suppose I will schedule my brand new car to breakdown in advance so that Bill Kay can prepare. They said that their service department would call me at 7:30am with an update and that I needed to call in the morning to request a loaner vehicle. 8:30am, the next day, I had not received a call, so I decided to follow up on the loaner car and status of my vehicle. No status update was available. I was told that no loaner vehicles are available and that I could call back in the afternoon to request a loaner again. I requested a rental car, but was told that I could call Enterprise and Enterprise must have a GM car or I would be responsible for the cost of the rental. I was also told to contact Gjovik Chevy in Sandwich, IL (45 miles away) where I originally purchased my car 1 month ago to get a loaner. After calling Gjovik, the amazing Gjovik staff immediately took ownership, called GM roadside to have my car towed again to their dealership, and provided trouble free service. As a new Chevy owner, I recommend staying away from Bill Kay. The message that I received from them is that they will help you only if you bought from them and if you didn't purchase from them, then prepare to get a runaround.

Brought my 2016 Corvette Coupe that I purchased in April 2018 as a CPO from Bergstrom Chevrolet in Middleton WI into Bill Kay with a transmission shifting problem. This was my first visit to Bill Kay and the dealership was highly recommended by members of my car club as THE place to go for Corvette service. They were right! Chris Schaefer was my Service Advisor and John Knopf was my technician. Both did an OUTSTANDING job from the moment I arrived. I explained the problem to both Chris and John. Very nice to be able to talk directly to the technician. Chris called me every day with a status report. John determined that the transmission valve body needed to be replaced after searching for codes and bulletins. It took a couple more days to get the replacement part. When I picked up the vehicle, I was very pleased that the jerky, slow lower speed shift problem had been eliminated. Paddle shifting response was significantly improved as was the automatic shifts. John also completed the standard inspection and oil change / scheduled maintenance items. All of this was covered under the CPO warranty. I am completely satisfied with my first Bill Kay experience. Chris and John have earned my Corvette service business for life!

Bill Baresch and Bill Kay Chevrolet are class acts when it comes to a car purchase. After having dealt with another dealer just last year, I decided to try my luck at Bill Kay Chevrolet after hearing many positive reviews. The instant I walked in I was greeted and made sure I was being assisted. Bill Baresch took the time to work with me in the purchase of a Certified Used Chevy Equinox. Throughout the entire process he was honest, friendly, and knowledgeable. I was there late on a Friday and never felt like I was rushed, even though they had to stay a little later. I would not hesitate to recommend purchasing a vehicle from Bill Baresch and hope he is still working there several years down the road, so I can buy another one from him!

Would definitely do business with them again, and refer others to them. I love my new Cruze.

Bill Kay Chevrolet was the third Chevrolet dealership I visited. Being a TrueCar buyer, I wanted the best deal. And I had done my research. I haven't bought a car since my 2002 Honda Civic. I could tell there was a paradigm shift in the car buying process. I ended up buying my 14 Ashen Grey Chevrolet Cruze LTZ from Eric Pieroni. Eric explained the pricing breakdown and made me understand how the numbers worked. But it was more than just numbers. He gave me a tour of the dealership and focused on what I wanted, rather than just selling a car. Unfortunately I'm from DeKalb, so I will not be able to service my vehicle at your dealership. However, if I was closer, I would absolutely take advantage of your free carwashes on Saturday morning.

Would give 0 stars if I could.. filled out and online application to see if I could get pre-approved before driving an hour away for them to tell me no. The sales lady who called me was extremely rude when I told her several times I won t be coming in until I know I can get financed, eventually she said someone from finance would call me in a few hours. That never happened, so I called, he rushed me off the phone and said he would call me back in a hour, that never happened. The next day someone of finance decided to call me, asked a bunch of questions I already answered on the online application, THEN AGAIN said someone in finance would call me back in an hour or two.... That never happened... I called back again and spoke to the finance director, he said he had no notes from who I talked to before and he hadn t been in the office since Saturday so basically no one should have called me anyways... then asked ALL of the same questions I answered with the previous guy. AGAIN told me I would hear back from him within an hour or two.. ya think that happened??? NOPE! The next day SOMEONE ELSE calls me acting like I havnt already talked to 3 different people and starts asking all of the same questions I ALREADY answered to two different people! I told him I wasn t answering them anymore and he needs to speak to the people I already talked to... Then later I get a voicemail saying they can t finance me.. Very rude about it, didn t say they hoped to have my business somewhere down the road. Nope, just can t help ya, sorry bye, basically. Horrible customer service! Get your act together..

Eh don't waste your time here if you're getting your car serviced. Can't speak for the staff for selling the cats and all that but the service staff are pretty rude and very unwilling to work with you. They're pretty pricing for diagnostics and repair too i was shocked. Don't bother going here, drive the ten or so minutes to the Chevy in Naperville. Go to the Wolf! They're so nice and very fairly priced. More than 50 dollars less for a diagnostic!

Scheduled an appointment to have the oil changed on my vehicle. When I arrived and checked in; the adviser informed me of a recall. Unaware of that. I was given more information and decided to add that to the oil change. The experience was very positive. The wait time was only 2 hours for the oil change and recall check. The waiting area was clean and included a tv. I would've preferred more than a coffee machine, but the gesture is still nice.

Brought the car in for a rattling window to be fixed under warranty multiple times. The window made all the noise in the world on the way to the dealer, and on the way back from it, but apparently it "could not be replicated." Yeah, right. Oil change cost $50 too.

If only I can put 0 stars on the parts department I WOULD!! Brent had me just waiting for no reason literally said 'please hold' put the phone down NOT EVEN ON HOLD and had me waiting. I can hear him having a conversation in the background with another employee. I put him on hold and called another dealer to place my order for the parts I need and came back, Brent still had me JUST WAITING. If he didn't wanna help could've told me he didn't want to assist and thats all!

I initially brought my car in because another dealer nicked a wire during a repair. They found the problem quickly and fixed it without any fuss. They did such a good job that I had them do another cosmetic repair I had been putting off. I really appreciate all they did for me and they have great employees working for them!

Five years ago I called Bill Baresch to talk about purchasing a used vehicle for my wife. He made that buying experience wonderful. He is a very patient and thorough person. There was no pressuse at all durnig that process. I thought back then that we would be back for another vehicle. Last weekend we went back to see Bill about replacing our 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. Again we were treated to a great buying experience. We purchased a used truck from him and could not be happier with both the buying experience and our new vehicle. He has been very helpful answering questions about the new technology I didn't have on my old truck. We will be back when it's time to replace the first vehicle we bought from Bill. Thanks again for making our experience a great one.

Bill Kay sold me a used vehicle and told me it went through their entire inspection and checked out looking good. The vehicle broke down 3 weeks later and they will not do anything to make it right. It won't even turn on anymore. They do not stand behind their word of taking pride in what they do. The least they could have done was work with me in making this right.

Had the car serviced and took it on a road trip. The tire that had been patched started losing air. I called the dealership, explained that I was 160 miles away and wanted to get the car to them. They got me in immediately when I got to town, found the problem, corrected it, and only charged for the valve stem. I'm very grateful for their willingness to work with me on such short notice.

Sales team was great. They worked with me on the price of the vehicle. Didn't get a great value for my vehicle, even though it was in very good condition. We included a truck bed cover and bed extender in the deal. It took approximately a month to get those items in and dealership kept my truck for over a week. The bed cover was on the lower value end and is already starting to deteriorate after 4 months.

DONOT GO here! They have good deals online however when you go to the dealership and see that you are a person of color, they raise the price significantly. Then I was waiting see the finance guy and he took another white couple that came way way after me.I came with my own financing and everything I signed say that my bank is my lien holder. Then,I Received a payment book from a totally different bank than on my contract and when I called Bill Kay finance director told me very unconcerned that that happens sometimes !!!! I have never experienced nothing like this in my life.

Went to the dealer to see if we could upgrade to a 2018 Equinox. Going in we knew we were pretty upside down on the car we were looking at trading in. When we used their online calculators, it seems like there might be a chance (we are eligible for a few discounts/rebates that they do not advertise). It didn't work out and that is not why we are only giving 2 stars. We knew it was at best 50/50 that it would work out (not sure if they figured in everything we would be eligible for and didn't bother to ask). What we didn't really like is that as soon as our salesman (I will not name) saw that the 2018s we sold he tried to put us in a 2019 and I told him that I knew it wouldn't work out. He also misplaced my wife's D.L. for a short period of time and had the galls to tell my wife "Are you sure I didn't give it back because I always do?". It took awhile but he did find it and said another salesman had it (????). The sales person kept talking to his manager and didn't ask to fill out a credit check till the very end, normally it happens a lot sooner. Then they didn't even want to negotiate, it was like we were wasting their time. The last car we got from Bill Kay, they went above and beyond to work with us. Hell, the last few cars we got for Bill Kay they went above and beyond (our last 6 out of 7 where purchased/leased through Bill Kay). Just seemed like they didn't even want to try to make anything work. Couple that with a comment that was passed on to my wife (even if it was just a joke) and then leaving a message for the GM and never receiving a call back, the place seems to be changing. Who knows in a year when my leased car is up if I would go back to Bill Kay or explore other Chevy Dealers in the area Very disappointed.

I had never bought a car before, and was afraid it would be a horrifying, expensive and altogether defeating experience. After my sister came here, I decided to take a look and was soooo pleasantly surprised! One of their salesmen - Eric Pieroni - worked so closely with me to help me explore my options. He was honest, upfront and fantastic. I didn't feel pressured, and while I'm still shopping around for just the right car, Eric made himself feel like an ally in the car buying experience. Once I do make my decision, I'll be returning here and dealing with him directly. This place is great - great associates and a great experience!

Bought a 2018 Trax from this dealership, love this vehicle. Overall good experience with this dealership.Helpful team Jennifer, Demi, John, and Joel were of great help. Jennifer answered all questions, suggested different vehicle, options, pressure free sales, timely and short process. John helped with financing. Joel knowledgeable and helpful with different service contracts. Demi helped with internet sales listings and available vehicles.

I worked with Paul Peterson and he was very helpful with answering questions. I went back to the dealership hoping to negotiate the price of the vehicle after looking at a few others and that ended up taking close to 3.5 hours. I know they were understaffed on salesmen and Paul was trying to manage multiple potential buyers at once, so I don't fault him. But it was frustrating to just sit and wait around. I didn't understand why others on the sales floor weren't pitching in to help. Paul advocated on my behalf to negotiate the price and value of my trade in so I could buy the car.

I really wish the financing part was made more clear to buyers. There needs to be some type of comprehensive sheet that outlines the difference financing options. We left to get cashier's checks feeling really confused with what we needed to bring back to the dealer. Closing on the vehicle once we had the cashier's checks took about another 2.5 hours. It just felt like everything took a long time. I live about an hour and a half away; I think if you live closer to Lisle/Naperville, it would be easier because you could run back and forth without having to commit 4-5 hours.

Overall, the people were nice and I appreciate that they worked with me on the price. It just took a long time to get the paperwork done. I'd recommend them to others, but would tell people to be prepared that they get busy and the actual purchasing piece might take a while.

JENNIFER IS AMAZING! After weeks of dealing with salesmen who were disrespectful and unkind to me, who would not listen to my needs, the FIRST thing Jennifer did was listen. She heard my needs, she offered me options in my price range, she showed me additional options even if the dollar difference was slim, and she was professional/knowledgeable through it all. Then, the managers went above and beyond to get me into a vehicle after a nightmare with Ford and needing to get out of my lease. I am BEYOND grateful to the entire team who spent a Saturday afternoon working with me and making my car shopping experience completely stress free! THANK YOU.

AFTER A FEW UNHAPPY EXPERIENCES AT SOME OTHER DEALERSHIPS, WE SPOKE WITH SALES AT BILL KAY ON THE PHONE AND THEY OFFERED US A GREAT DEAL ON A LEASED 2016 EQUINOX BEFORE WE EVEN STEPPED FOOT IN THE BUILDING.THEY HAD EVERYTHING ALL SET AND READY TO GO WHEN WE GOT THERE. IT WAS QUICK AND PAINLESS AND EVERYONE WAS HELPFUL. IT WAS A RELIEF TO GO TO A DEALERSHIP THAT JUST MADE THE SALE SIMPLE INSTEAD OF TRYING TO SCARE AND OVERWHELM A CAR BUYER. WE PLAN TO BE RETURNING CUSTOMERS, AND WILL BE RECOMMENDING BILL KAY CHEVROLET.

Picked up and ordered a few parts for my Cadillac. Parts manager was friendly and helpful. Cashier was also friendly and upbeat. Couldn't ask for more or better service. I have a hardware store that I use frequently and the cashier there is a complete opposite. If the hardware store wasn't convenient and there was a closer one I wouldn't go there. So smiling upbeat people are a welcome change. Keep it up.

They are friendly and diagnosed the problem right away. They rescheduled our appointment because the part was not in stock. Called up when it was in stock, got us in right away and got our car back the same day.
