I had just flown in and was racing the next day and in all sorts of trouble putting my bike back together. A bloke called Mike I think saved my skin and after the worst day in a long time, to roll on in off the street and to be looked after in 20 min was just life saving. He fixed my chain, then smoothed out a few other hiccups and charged me $10- what an absolute legend. Cycling is an expensive hobby which amplified this generosity. What a great shop.

Hello all, I highly recommend Bike Force Dockland, Huey and the team. From the first phone call Huey was very accommodating and made time for me to get to the shop to view the bike I wanted. Huey provided great advice on bike sizing and fit. He ordered me the right size and kept me informed about when it would arrive, when it would be assembled and when it would be ready to be picked up.
Great team. Always helpful and do some seriously good builds that I have experienced personally. If you ride Campagnolo get your bike their for a tune.
Had a fantastic interaction with the Bikeforce staff when looking for a new smart trainer. They offered some amazing prices across multiple brands and really asked questions about what I wanted before giving advice. I bought a BH Ultralight frameset and full ENVE cockpit (handlebars, stem and seat post) through those guys and brought in my own parts so I could custom build the bike to my exact spec. I got a good price on the frameset and ENVE cockpit. They were patient whilst I got those items custom decal-ed and they built it up to perfection, handlebar taping bang on, cabling was beautifully done (always the most time consuming and an indicator of the mechanic's skill and care in the build), saddle height set exactly so much so that the bike fitter was left with just tiny little "tweaks" to my position. Great service from Andy and his team, 5 stars and this is from a man who rarely writes reviews.
We have bought 4 bikes now from Bikeforce. They are amazing and work hard to find exactly what we needed. They even packaged our bikes for them to be taken overseas as we recently moved abroad. The bikes are super high quality and look fantastic. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality and service. My son recently upgraded to a 16 inch and is enjoying keeping up with his older brother. He had the Cannodale 12 inch previously and only took 2 days to pick up two wheel peddling WITHOUT training wheels. These bikes are top end bikes for kids but worth every cent!
Absolutely one of the best bike shops i have been too. Andy spent over 2 days with calls and emails sending me any requested information on a BMC that i was interested in. Ended up buying it over 3 other bikes from other shops. Matt the manager took time out and measured me up to a tee and fully set me up. Very well laid out shop with great products. Will be bringing my bike back here for any servicing. Highly recommend at least a drop in to check out their gear.
Appalling customer service. Went in to speak about a service after stacking my bike and was practically told they wouldn't touch it because it was "too cheap" and told me to buy a new one worth over $2500! Unable to acknowledge a customer problem and provide a realistic solution. You'd think with 0 customers in the shop and in such an awful location they'd to anything for a dollar but not the case. Probably takes the rank of the worst bike shop in Melbourne.
A big thank you to Bike Force Dockland for being so professional in dealing with the warranty issue associated with the carbon fibre frame of my Cannondale Quick 1. While they not longer sell Cannondale bike, they were fantastic in ensuring that Cannondale 'came to the party' and honoured their warranty obligations. It is refreshing to deal with a bike store that puts the customer first, especially in a difficult time for Bikeforce Docklands in this Covid-19 era. Thanks again Stephen
A good place to get ripped of. I brought my bike to fix a flat tire during my Uber eats shift, and as well change the tire of the front wheel. Meanwhile I went to ATM to withdraw some cash, the mechano set the new tube and tire although he had proposed me to borrow the tools just before then I would have fix myself. 76,5 dollars to fix a flat tire and sell me the cheaper tire, thanks a lot guys.

Great 2 year service for my road bike from Leon and the mechanics Nathan & Lewis. Feels brand new again & got a discount for getting my bike from them.
Bike Force Docklands in my opinion was one of the best bike store in Melbourne, with friendly Customer service and they are super duper kind.. The mechanic went above and beyond to complete my bike to the highest level I ve experienced before. All cables were tidy, symmetrical and well thought out for proper function. The attention to details that they put up to a bike is beyond expectation. From the owner to the mechanic to the floor sales, all the advice were spot on and very helpful, i will definitely come back and for sure will become the regular customer at Bike Force Docklands.
Worst Bike shop service in Melbourne. Arrogant and rude salesman/manager who think they are above the customer. Never going back in again. Wanted to purchase a frame, ended up going to another store and spent 4K.
Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I visited the store to purchase an indoor smart trainer. The staff were very helpful and did everything they could to address my concerns on its compatibility with my bike. In the end everything worked well okay and I am extremely happy with the trainer and their service.
They are a true testament to why we should support our local bike shops for the personal assistance and piece of mind instead of buying online.

Great Experience purchasing a high end BMC Roadmachine 01. Hue and his team know their stuff and were never pushy or rude, unlike other bike shops I have visited. They were always in constant communication and made several suggestions to meet my requirements. I have only ridden 100km so far on the new bike and can easily be spotted by the huge grin on my face! Make sure you pop in and give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

Awesome bike shop. Did a great job on my custom-build Dogma; listened to what I wanted, gave me some great alternative options and built it on time (one of their guys stayed late to finish it for me!). Servicing is really good - I've never had my bike off the road waiting for spares.
I bought my BMC from Docklands, and after sales service and help has been amazing. The owners are out on the sales floor and passionate about high end bikes, and it was a pleasure to deal with them. Mason is their mechanic, whose work is exceptional! I have had other mates take bikes in to resolve issues, complete rebuilds, and general maintenance and all have been super happy with Masons work. I do a lot of my own mechanic work, but there are some things you just need a professional touch. I also bought my kids first bikes there!! Good shop!!
Would not recommend. Poor communication. Inability or unwillingness to advance problem solve. I purchased a second from the top-of-the line bike over 2 months ago. Been back to the store 6 times as it creaks every time I ride it. It either gets coated in grease by the mechanic or just sits there. They don t follow up by phone as frequently promised. Tearing my hair out and considering VCAT.
I bought a pair of Giro shoes from this store. Took them home and used the trainer to ensure the cleats were in the right position. Found out that the shoes were a size too small. I am normally 42 in all giro shoe (I have 3 pairs) no worries,I bought from a bike shop so will be able to exchange! Well, was told by store person that because they had been worn I couldn't change. This is really disappointing!
I am one of those people who buy stuff from a bike shop, not the Internet, I try to look after our cycling industry. . Bike force didn't care, didn't exchange, they just kept calling me mate. I am disappointed that they didn't exchange the shoes, all my friends laugh at me that I still support bike shops. Internet they say,, any wonder!

As I was going through the bikes and slightly lifting the bicycle, an arrogant saleswoman with short hair that provided very bad customer service. She approached me and told me rudely not to lift it unless I was "prepared to pay $12,000 dollars to fix it". I merely lifted it less than 10cm above the ground.
I STRONGLY do not recommend this double standard shop to anyone. As for the shop, please learn some manners.
Customer service was pretty standard, but the attitude of the guy who was looking after me was pretty unfriendly. Plus the price was almost double of what a simple search on google would give you + shipping. Friendly and welcoming staff has a much better return than lower prices tho. Thanks
Superb experience working with the team at Bike Force - from my initial conversation to the delivery of my bike it was a first class job. The advice given, the service provided as well as the commitment to ensuring that everything was done on time from the whole team was really appreciated. Matt was down to earth when he sold me the bike. The price and quality of what i bought was just as just a competitive as anything for sale online - with the added benefit of being at a local bike store.
But it is the after sales service that has been pleasantly surprising. They know me by name - and I joke around with the guys in the store telling them that i am their most regular customer!
Every time I ring or email asking for help they are ALWAYS ready, willing and able to assist. They service my bike within short notice [so far i have always had it returned within the day] and every time i get it back it feels brand new again.

I purchased a budget mountain bike from this store about 12 months ago. The bike had major flaws, rear wheel had a buckle in it, front brakes didn't function well enough. When I returned with the bike to be repaired nothing was really fixed. I wasn't satisfied with this and asked for a refund, I was refused and told "It's a cheap bike" and was offered credit towards a more expensive model. I understand that you get what you pay for, but I did pay for a functioning bike, which isn't what I had. The staff were very arrogant and condescending. I'll never go back and warn others to avoid at all costs. There are plenty of decent bike retailers around without wasting time with bike force Docklands.
Just a quick note to thank you for your efficient and friendly service. I bought the bike 'over the phone' and it was delivered with changes as requested to specification and on time as promised. You ve also been very helpful in servicing the bike at the last minute before an event for which Im especially grateful. I just purchased a BMC roadmachine 01 from Docklands Cycles and I can say from the start of the process right through to riding the bike out the store, the experience was very enjoyable, perfect!
About three weeks ago I bought a beautiful new Pinarello from Bike Force at Docklands. I had looked around quite widely as it is a significant purchase for me, and a new road bike is something I would expect to enjoy over several years.
I found the service good, and it was useful that Matt followed through on prices for particular models via email. The prices were highly competitive- significantly better value than anything else I could find. Perhaps more importantly, staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and not patronising. I can empathise with the comments of another reviewer about women in bike shops not being taken seriously- that kind of attitude is frustrating.
The bike itself is fantastic, an absolute pleasure to ride. Apart from the fact that it is a significantly better bike than my former trusty steed, I think Bike Force have done an outstanding job on the fit. I am a small person, 5' 2" on a good day, and the Pinarello just fits. They've used parts of the appropriate size, and there was no drama or extra cost in organising things like a women's specific seat.
I am really delighted with the bike. I haven't had a full carbon bike before, and the Pinarello is definitely smoother. The Di2 is also terrific- a different and better feel than traditional gears. It looks great and rides better.

There are LBS's that try to be all things to all cyclists; and then there are the speciality ones, with knowledge. To top it off, I found a friendly welcome, concluding with time and attention given to a bike fit. Now I'm riding a beautiful Bianchi, and I know where to shop for all my future cycling needs. Bike Force Docklands is THE one-stop shop for all your cycling needs. I recently upgraded my road bike and cannot speak highly enough of the outstanding service that I received from Matt and his Team, at every turn. As a female cyclist, my previous experiences at other bike stores often resulted in me being either completely ignored, assumed ignorant of anything to do with cycling or most likely in store only to purchase something for "my partner". Not so at Bike Force Docklands. It was a pleasure to be taken seriously and treated respectfully when discussing all of the options available to me. I had researched quite extensively what it was that I wanted and I needed to feel confident in my choice as it required a substantial financial investment. Within two weeks, I was riding out of the store on the bike of my dreams, it was everything I have always wanted and more...Special thanks to Dan for looking after my initial inquiry and Scotty for the PERFECT Bike Fit - I did not need to adjust the set up in any way afterwards, it was perfect from the get-go! Got my bike caught on tram tracks, had a big fall, what a fright for a beginner ! I went into the store and staff helped me get patched up and fix bike. Luckily no major damage. I must have looked nervous heading out as one of the staff members Hue, offered to ride home with me, detouring out of his way home. Thanks - confidence back! Wonderful staff!

Bought my BMC here after some great customer experience and continue to have my bike serviced here. Had a crash recently and went in to get a replacement front quick release skewer; got one at no charge which is fantastic. Can t recommend the place the much especially if you are in the BMC camp! A couple of months ago I bought two road bikes from this shop. I was really happy with the outcome. The sales service was excellent, and so far the follow up service has also been excellent.
Went in to get an inner tube replaced, which all went well enough and was priced fairly, but also came out with my rear brakes disconnected, a fact I only discovered when I tried to apply the brakes in traffic and came a cropper (thankfully I was able to come off onto the pavement rather than under a car). To BFD's credit, after the inner tube failed again shortly thereafter (rear tyre was too worn to hold in the inner tube under pressure) and after hearing my story, Andy offered to replace my very worn rear tyre for free. Some might argue this was a simple mistake to make, and I agree, but it's also the difference between coming to a neat stop as expected and getting surprised and subsequently turned into road meat; on a slow, rainy Saturday morning in Docklands without much else to do, I expect pros to know better.

Can't thank these guys enough. Made the mistake of using the Dockland Public Bike Repair Station to pump up a tyre, resulting in tyre being completely flat. Walked my bike in and they had a pump ready to use (obviously this happens a lot) but had an issue and without asking one of the guys came over & helped out & pumped my tyre for me. Based soley on this I know where I'll be taking my bike next service.
Bad Service! I dont understand why bike shops hire the worst customer service people, when customer service is all they have to offer to stop people buying on line. I went in, didnt get any service. There were three staff there who all avoided eye contact. I finally approached one and asked if they had any long knicks. She said "no we dont have long knicks" an then walked off. I will not be going back there again.
I bought my Pinarello Paris from Bike Force Docklands and was really happy with the service. Scott and Andy are really knowledgeable, showed me all the options and helped me to choose the right bike for my budget and needs.
Follow up service and advice has also been excellent, particularly for my recent cycling trip to Italy. The boys provided advice about transporting my bike on the plane and gearing for the Italian hills and Dan checked my bike over before and after the trip.

I'm a local with an average bike I use to get around town when I need. All I needed was to pump up my tires. I've never experienced such a nasty, hipster attitude towards not just myself, but anyone coming in the store. The staff are disgustingly rude - maybe it's a terrible place to work or the pay rate it rubbish? I now walk the extra 800m to go to the Good Cycle pop up along the harbour.
Visited the shop last weekend and staff were more than accommodating in showing my partner and I around. Let us test ride a few bikes; even changing out stems etc to gauge fit. Will be back for sure. Thanks guys :-)

Only have excellent things to say about this store and the guys that work there! The team bent over backwards to make sure the wife and I were looked after during the three months that Andy (patiently) worked with getting us sorted. Plenty of parking around the corner, coffee shops and just a great pressure free experience. Which is good if like me - you don't make decisions on an empty stomach! In the end we purchased two bikes and we now happily look no further for servicing, advice and parts...!!
These guys are awesome! Great bike shop in Melbourne. These guys know their stuff and are super friendly, and they even sit down to have a chat if its not busy. I don't know all that much about bikes but these guys are always happy to answer questions and always go out of their way to help me solve an issue. If your on google search trying to find a good spot to go please check these guys out.
Don't let anyone who works here install anything that uses bolts - they'll either cross thread them or just forget to tighten them all together. I'm glad it was just cleats they messed up an not stem bolts!
Wonderful buying experience, called up to put a hold on a bike, account details sent straight away, bike was in better than described condition. The tech fit me up and took me through how to replace a tube on the go as well, he slowly walked us through everything top to bottom including his own chain routine. Everyone in the business was a pleasure to deal with. 10/10 would shop again. I m in Brisbane and will likely look to buy from here again in a few years, they even boxed up the bike free or charge. Up until 2011 this branch hired out good quality bikes at an excellent price of $50/day - perfect for the Capital City Trail which passes right by this shop. Sadly they have decided not to offer this service any more, and instead recommended a bike shop on the other side of the city which charges a crazy $150/day.
The Melbourne Bike Share doesn't have any stations along most of the Capital City Trail (why?!), so can only be used on the trail as an expensive, clunky and far less enjoyable option.
I really hope Bike Force will start holding even just a handful of bikes available for hire once again in the future, it doesn't seem too much to expect.

Great customer service! I purchased one of the least expensive bikes in the shop about a year ago and Hue, Mel, Zack and the team take care of me like I was a big spender. Very friendly and willing to tune or repair my bike while I wait.
just wanted to say I test rode about $20k worth of bikes here and they were great. priced up some custom options for me too. ended up with a different model from a different shop but if you're after a competitively priced road bike and without doubt the best range of brands available this is the place to go.
Purchased a Colnago C60 with Campagnolo Super Record and Shamal Mille wheels from Docklands June 2015. On my first ride, gear changes were terrible, skipping gears, grinding noises.
Next ride, same problems with gears. Returned Bike to Docklands, drop out was faulty, I was told.
Next ride, gears not changing properly, chain grinding on large chain ring. Returned bike to Docklands Campagnolo technicians assessed bike, and made adjustment and was told it is perfect.
Took bike to another Campagnolo Technician, (NOT Docklands).
Campagnolo Technician advised poor previous adjustment. Now at last - Running so much better. Would I take my bike back to Docklands for a service - IN NO WAY. Would I recommend this store - NO Comment
