I actually enjoyed this place, I use to come here a lot when I was a kid growing up. Slides where a lot of fun, food was good, it's very crowded at the big wave pool.
Great alternative to the Big water parks around town.
The staff was awesome
Fun fun fun
We come here every year! Love it so much. It just needs a little updating....
Way too crowded!! Used to love going to Big Surf. Hard to enjoy yourself when there are so many people.
I love this place and will be going back all summer. This place was clean, fun, great staff and excellent food. Thank you big surf for a great refreshing day at the park!
Could use more bathrooms and a lazy river that goes around the entire place, but other than that it was great.
The whole park was smaller than I thought lol. The wave pool is cool though
Fun for what it is:) at least 5 of the water slides were down when we went so that was a bummer.
Great water park with a great wave pool and surf lessons
I found two handfuls of Nails in the wave pool the staff didn't give a damn they're just happy that my nine-year-old didn't get any stuck in her foot the water smell like Canal water the prices are higher than ever in the new lockers are ridiculous to figure out and I've been a big surf customer season passes for several years now it was better before somebody thought they had a good idea while whatever they've changed it hasn't been for the better and I believe the nails came from where they redone some wooden fencing over by the orange and green slide I guess their workers were jerks
I came here for years when growing up, and now it's a great place to take my kids.
Big surf rocks!!
Can't wait for it to open for the summer.
Needs renovation and the purple slide still out of commission and they need better stuff for toddlers.....
Great water slides and wave pool kids love it. Don't forget to bring your own lunch because food is kinda expensive, but you can't bring any food inside the park so be prepared to have a cooler with sandwiches and plenty of cold snacks. My kid was so excited he didn't leave for lunch until it was time for the Surfers to surf which was from 5-5:30 I think and no one can get in the wave pool without a Surf board. You should also bring your own Boggie board unless you want to pay $6 for a rental.
Very fun! Went there as a group. Some areas were closed off for the time we were there. One of the lifeguards seemed to not notice while I was choking for some reason though. Also, maybe a few more rides? After like 20 minutes you have ridden most rides. Also, most lockers seemed damaged or useless altogether. Two friends sharing a locker had to change lockers multiple times. Other than that and some other minor stuff, food was ok, salt on the pretzel was overdone and salt didn't taste good. Good prices on food. I walked in with 25 dollars, got a drink, pretzel, and kettle corn with a little bit left for dip n dots.
I really didn't have fun working there this Summer. Honestly the place needs to be touched up and some things need to be replaced
I was a great way to get out of the house and cool off.
Great swim park with a fun wave pool and lots of variety on water slides, several for adults, and young kids. It is old but still fun.
Great staff, great service and good place for family.
It's a small park, good for a single parent because it's easier to keep up with your kids. Go during the week so it's not so crowded.
Very fun the wave pool is awesome the stuff is too expensive though but keep up the good work
Amazing place. We had a blast. Food and drink are not allowed. Only water. Food prices are high. No floating devices of your own. Must use theres.
Food expensive just like any other water park
It was alright but it felt like it was missing more
water slides...well i cant really complain its really nice
Few rude people there ha
Over all it was nice experience.
Thanks God they don't allow food from outside. This prevents families to bring their food from home, like tons of tacos, fajitas, tortillas, rice, been, ground meat, hot dogs, giant bottles of sodas, bottles of ketch up, mayo, mustard.....if that was allowed, at the middle of the day you would see food splatter all over the place, semi empty plastic bottles rolling on the grass, kids running with pieces of tacos, fajitas, tortillas, dropping them all over the place, with mayo, ketch up , mustard spread on chairs, grass...........A REAL MESS.....
BUT......THANKS GOD....you are only allowed to buy food at the restaurant, and is overpriced....so families will take a break and go to their cars in the parking lot and open their food containers and mess everything up in the parking lot.
In the evening I have seen so much left overs abandoned in the parking spots, like empty cans, plastic bottles, plastic bags and I was thankful to Big Surf management that they prevented that to happen in the park.
Thanks Big Surf!
Buy the season pass if you plan on coming more than once. I'm not about the wave pool, but mainly just come here for my two year old to walk around in the water. Nice toddler area and baby slides. There's water buckets and water cannons. A nice shaded water bench in two feet of water for parents with kids. The older kids love the wave pool and renting rafts. All the slides are fun and the lifeguards do a decent job at enforcing rules and keeping the peace. The food and drink, of course, are outrageous. Overall a nice place for the summer with a season pass for some water fun.
I absolutely love Big Surf! The staff id courteous.... and very helpful! I purchase season passes for my family and we love that place so we're going to go all summer long... looking for a cool place to beat the heat and that's not expensive than big surf is your spot! 2 thumbs up!
Restrooms were so smelly it was hard to change! Very unsanitary! I wonder wats in da water! Restrooms need around the clock maintenance! Prices are ridiculously high n so is the good stand! So eat b4 u go! Save $!
Family had a blast, we took advantage of a groupon. Some items could use a little updating but overall it was a good time for us and the kids.
Family fun, making memories. Parents remember you have 18 summers mKe memories while you can
Great place to take your kids and family out on the weekends..get that Aloha Spirit bruh
There was a "dangerous area" (extremely slippery) near the entrance of the wave pool where I saw 3 ppl fall. The lifeguards did not even acknowledge that 3 ppl had fallen within 10 mins of each other to perhaps check what happened. They were too busy mingling.
We went on a Friday when they weren't busy had the best time ever had less than a 2 minute wait on any of the slides
Great place to relax and let the kids play. Food is not overly expensive. I ordered a large pizza and drinks for five and it was enough for all of us for under 25. The only problem is there isn't enough shade for the number of people they let in the park. Get there early or wait for someone to leave are your only options. The kids always love going. Their was one police officer on duty walking around, which I thought was great. I wasn't worried about someone taking our stuff from our seats while we were playing. They have lockers, changing rooms and plenty of restrooms.
Had so much fun with my family. The staff was nice and everything looked clean to me.
I honestly love this place. I received a season pass as a gift and I've going at least once a week with my friends. A wonderful place to go if you want to relax at the wave pool. I have taken advantage of both the raft and boogie board rentals. Their slides are thrilling. Though not as numerous as other water parks they are well maintained.
Had a great day. Food prices were good, not outrageous, think movie theater, not Disney. Loved the slides, a good mix. Lots of areas for all ages. A wade ares with slides for the little ones, another kids pool, slides for beginners to the adventurous. The wave pool was great, my son says it's better and bigger than Wet n Wild. We will definitely go back.
We took a surfing lesson, two mornings with minimal people. After trying to get lessons in California, this was the best experience! John was a great instructor who by the first day led us to take a wave all the way in. Highly recommended!
Trash company. Only open on weekends in the middle of the summer.
We definitely will not be returning to this waterpark... Their website looks great and really boasts about all that they have, however it is not the case when you get there. For a family of 3 we spent over $100 just to get in the door and rent a locker to store our towels and car keys. It is very small, dirty and the lifeguards are so rude! My special needs son was whistled at and yelled at so much by the lifeguards that it was not enjoyable for him, his father or myself. I even yelled right back at one of the lifeguards letting them know he is special needs, which is something that I try not use as a crutch for him, but they wouldn t leave him alone even though his father and I were right there with him. All he was doing was walking fast up the path (not even next to any water) to the rainbow slides and and jumped up a couple times out of excitement. Upon entering the facility, we were given the wrong directions for attractions, when my son was set to go down the rainbow slides the lifeguard told us that since our son was special needs that we would have to get a clear wrist band, so were told to go to the first aid station to do so. We went to the first aid station and were told to go to the entrance because they knew nothing of the sort. We then went to the entrance and were told to go to their management office. We finally went to the management office and they didn t seem to know that there was a special clear wrist band for special needs. They ended up giving him another regular wrist band with the managers name written in permanent marker on to. This wrist band didn t seem to even effect how my son was treated... in the 2 foot deep kiddie pool area my son was whistled at and yelled at for putting his hands on the side of the pool. We maybe spent an hour of the 2 hours that we were there in the water. We were so over the poor customer service, rude lifeguards, filthy grounds and facilities that we just left. My recommendation would be to go to any other waterpark besides this one!
Wasn't too busy. We had a lot of fun.
Could take a little better care of the bathrooms but other than that, everything was great. :)
Will come back
Best wave pool. Line ups during the week are minimal. Affordable.
Cute park. Not very big but you have what you need for a water park. Love the rainbow slides for kids. Wave pool is huge.
Please more fun slides that are not just basic tubed ones but more like big slides kinda like how sun splash has "The Toilet"
Big- Lots of activities for all different ages. A bit dirt and landscapers are needed. The food is pretty expensive. But the people are nice and helpful.
The pools are really dirty not just from leaves but dirt and rocks on the bottom of the pools. There should be a big pool 3-12 feet for just swimming.
My daughter and I love big surf. We love to do the wave over and over!
Very nice place, had so much fun with the kidos. The place is huge so a lot of space for everyone. Very clean and tidy.
Had a great time with my daughter, grandsons, niece, and great nephews on Saturday. Thank you for all the years you have been here.
i recently went here for my friend s bday party and it was disgusting! the slides aren t even clean nor are they fun. i kept getting stuck on the rides. the wave pool was the only fun part about the park. however it was NASTYY! the water wasn t clear and it was warm! there was chunks of skin flakes in the water as well. atleast the waves were mediocre.
Really very affordable and there are great deals available on Groupon. The wave pool was its main attraction. Worth it!
I was there for the Dino's Gitdown Chevy Truck show. It was AMAZING!
Outstanding place to take kids 7 years and below. Plenty of space, usually not crowded. But summer pass and two admissions will have equaled the cost of the summer pass. Traditional admission is $35 and Military is $20z Lockers about $8-12. The only issue is there s no lazy river and the wave pool only creates one wave per ten minutes. Would like to see more continuous waves.
Food is a little expensive but the rides are super fun
We had a great time. There is only a small designated are where alcohol is allowed but I understand. Also at the end of some of the slides, in the shallow water that slows you down, the slides were very dirty. 5 stars minus theses 2 things.
one of the lifeguards rolled her eyes at me and looked away when i asked her if anything rhymed with orange. later in the day, she gave me her snapchat. i didn't add her because she treated me so disrespectfully. great water
Was here for wet electric. Cant wait for wet electric 2020!
#turlockandco
Big Surf is a Phoenix area institution for a reason. It's a great place to spend a hot summer day.
there was really fun slides and the wave pool was awesome but it was a bit of waiting in line to get on the slides and i always got hit by other people in the wave pool.
Nice wave pool and slides are fun...needs more seating and umbrellas to get relief from sun...needs better food too.. average looking..however still a good family fun time...my boys enjoyed it..
Had a blast I haven't had that much fun in a long time,,, lil side not I was told that BS is the OG Water park built in the good ol U S of A!!!
Great place for the family. Not a huge park. Great deal on Groupon!
