Big wave pool with enough power to create waves large enough to boogie board on. A bit dated and the food is average at best.

1st time here and the family live it! Family had a blast!
My favorite place to go with the kids! Its prefect for ALL ages!
Honestly, the overall experience here is not that great. The amount of chairs is not nearly enough for the amount of people that come during peak hours. The food is over priced and nothing is "fresh" as it's all processed and frozen. The drinks are over priced, and of course you cant bring in outside beverages, because that means they arent making money.
And lets be honest, they took the sand away from the location and it is just nothing but hot concrete no matter where you go. Overall, not a pleasurable experience.
Aside from aggressive adults in the wave pool, everything was amazing. I would not recommend taking your little ones in the wave pool during early afternoon as I watched 5 kids get elbowed in the face and launched into the water by adults on their boogie boards. Aside from that, ice cream was great, sitting area on the lawn was phenomenal, and the people that run the place were very delightful and helpful! I know my 8 year old niece had an absolute blast!
Theres know way of expling this place it's crazy fun.
Had a great time. Some of the slides are in pretty rough shape, but the wave pool is amazing, and the food was actually really good.
As an aspiring surfer in AZ this is the place 2 go! Season long surfing passes cost about $360. Surf lockers r $75. Surf lockers sold out the 1st day so if u want 1 then come as early as possible. The H2Oslides r fun 2!
This park is smaller compared to Wet N' Wild (Hurricane Harbor) in Phoenix. There's not many slides and a lot of the slides are similar. I climbed up one of their stair structures from which there were about 4 different slides. 3 of them were essentially the same, just different colors and the 4th one was one of the super steep ones that goes straight down (I didn't go on that one).
The wave pool was ok, and I think the waves come about every 15 (?) minutes, but I noticed some brown specks floating about when I came back at dusk to cool off. That was not a welcome sight....
Specks aside, the water park was a satisfactory experience and nice way to cool off on a summer day.
it is super fun riding the waves. I love this place.
It was a lot of fun. A little pricey, but they all cost about the same. Baby blue rectangle floaty is the type they rent for the wave pool. Plenty of shade spots, but get there early. Tubes for the slides are included.
I wasn't all that impressed with this place. The water was warm the entire time. The park wasn't clean, the bathrooms were disgusting. When I was walking up the ramp to the tall slides there was a USED condom on the ramp. How does that even happen at a water park. There were also multiple women & teen girls walking around in thong bikini's. I normally try not to be the fashion police but this is a family park not the beach... come on now.
Was super fun! Lots of slides and the wave pool was awesome thanks to Jenn and her hubby!
Park was fun and had more than one pool for younger kids. The wave pool was not so great. They shared time in the wave pool with surfing and body boarding so you wait an hour during time allotted for suffering (5 to 6) and body boarding (2 to 3) surf boards are 20$ to rent...?
Fun for kids of all ages. Who doesn't love a waterpark
19$ on Groupon! It's definitely the cheapest I could find in the valley but the park is old. Slides are not super exciting but the kids are having a good time. The lockers are 16$!!!
Its a fun place with the exception of the wavepool .were you have to pay for the rafts and older teens and young adult try to pummel the smaller kids with the rafts .in the wave I caught two of them trying it as a team on my 8 year old daughter and her friend.I guess trying to get a raft .but when I confronted the situation they moved to a different area in the wave pool.so stay with your kids in there the rest of the place is awesome.
$30 for 2 sodas? Sorry that's ridiculous and unnecessary.
Cool place ENJOY THE CLEAN RESTROOMS THANK YOU SAMANTHA N JEAN YOU DO AN AWESOME JEAN. LOL
If you're temporarily closed and I checked your website before I left my house you should have a big giant banner on your home page about it being closed!!! Very upset!
Expensive to not have as many attractions as other waterparks, especially the food.
It's fun if you have the money, be warned some of the slides and walkways get extremely hot and can burn your feet if you aren't careful
Park is a bit dated, wave pool had big waves, wish they were more frequent. I was injured on one waterside, I think should have been without a tube, it bounced me off one of the walls sending me face first into the other wall, and I came out upside down with the tube on top of me.
For place that had been here since the 60s, had a blast with the family do recommend
Great for kids! My daughter is 4 and they have an area for kids her age with slides and a pool and also a smaller area for little kids that she would like to play in too!! We got a Groupon for $50 season passes so I just think this was a great deal we spent the whole summer there and had a blast!! food is a bit expensive but it is definitely worth it!! You can't bring in food and backpacks do you get checked!
My son and I visit Big Surf at least twice a year. We seem to have a good time when we go. No issues thus far.
Everyone I was with, kids and adults thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Water fun for the whole family! Slides, splash pools, awesome wave pool and more! We love just floating along in the wave pool. Completely relaxing.
We brought our small private school to Big Surf today. Joe Shannon, the manager, took such good care of our group of 14. When we arrived, we had a space directly in front of the wave pool, with plenty of chairs and shade. He also provided us with a cooler full of water and gatorades. He ushered our group through the crowd which eliminated the long lines He ensured our students and team members had a great time, which we did! Venturing into the community with individuals living with autism can be challenging. Joe recognized that and his kindness is greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back!
So glad we bought the season passes. Great place to chill with the kids!
This place was perfect for my son s 9th BDay. He had a blast going in the wave pool. He said that was his favorite. We brought water. That was important. It was hot and the water saved us. There was plenty of umbrellas to lay underneath we found them around 1pm. Parking was easy and free.
Hard to see from road. Across from soccer field / Phx Rising.
Always have a great time here i wish they would have a low budget day though for low income families
This is one of the great waterparks in Arizona, my family has been going here since the sand used to singe our toes. Its very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food is good and there is plenty of shady spots to get out of the sun and enjoy. We always have to spend at least one day of the summer getting shot to shore on the waves.
My friend her 3 year old son and me with my 10year old and 4 year old been here and we had a blast. Staff is friendly. Park is clean and water have a good temperature. We had so much fun!!! Only negative was the expensive prices for food!
I had a lot of fun with my friends at this place, I would go again, definitely!
We had a great time today! Big Surf is 50 years old! That's crazy! We had kids from 4yrs old -17 years old, they all had a great time!
Great place to take your kids and have great family time.
