Don t expect much during the pandemic. Their website says 50% capacity but what they don t tell you is that several rides are closed too. Considerably over priced for the what you re actually paying for!! Would be a much more enjoyable experience if things were actually as advertised.
Drinks are alot food and stuff but thats every where i had such a good time with my 9 month old he loved it and we never really do waterparks beach he so little but lazy river kidding he loved it floating with his vest on.
Disappointed to say the least. The entire kids lad was closed. The three slides that drop into the 6 pool closed! Then 3 hours after opening they closed the two slides that allow double riders. Made excuses each time I asked what was going on. That s half the park closed! Not at all worth the high cost of admission. Throw in the horrible food and service we will not be back.
Personally, my family and I really enjoyed it. I mean, yes, the admission and the food and drinks were a little pricey but what isn't overpriced at the beach? The slides were pretty fun. The wave pool was kind of disappointing, but we didn't even really spend time there. The yellow slide with the inner tubes was the most fun in my opinion, and the large black slide, Jumanji, was also fun. Only other complaint with the rides would be the Thunder River. This particular ride was frustrating because the current was swirling and you would get going the way you wanted and it would push you back the other way. I was stuck on one part of this ride for what seemed like ages. They also had a great Lazy River for those just wanting to hang out and relax. Also, the lifeguards seemed to be really whistle happy and would blow their whistles at the slightest disturbance. I understand their concern for the safety of their guests but it almost diminished the fun. Overall it was really fun and we all agreed we would like to go back again sometime.
Wasnt really cool. Better for smaller kids the one in pensicola is alot funner and seemed bigger

I'm only giving them 3 stars because there were a lot of attractions roped off and not functioning. If half the park is closed they shouldn't charge full price.
Cool water park in golf course. Lots of attractions for the kids to do and quite a few for the adults including go karts, giant swing and a few others. My only Grouch about this place is that it is very pricey for a family of four.
The fee for the park should match the park.. You shouldn't charge full price if you don't have but 3 slides open.. I think it would've been a much better experience if they had operating equipment!!
Dirty smelled like pee . not enough chairs or umbrellas, won't let you bring in water to drink in this heat.half the park is closed who does renavations in the middle of summer at a water park.
My lil ones 12th birthday so we took her and a few friends. They had a blast i actually really enjoyed myself. We got season passes so we will definitely be going alot more. i was really surprised how the lines moved so efficiently and the staff was very friendly and courteous.
Nice for kids. Lots of water slides. Food was expensive and the food staff is in no hurry to get your order out. Overall great Time.
Always a fun time and has a fun put put golf course.

Not impressed. There's no order or direction. Everything is hidden just enough that your constantly trying to find your Bearings. There's a bad Hornet problem around one of the food ares.
Overall the park was great and the kids had a blast! Now for the but.... we stood in line for roughly 30mins to order food. Once the food was ordered we stood there for another 40 mins waiting on our 2 chicken tender baskets to be finished which seemed crazy since there were three people taking orders and what seemed to be 6 people in the kitchen most laughing and joking around while really only one young man worked on the orders and one young lady made pizzas. There were multiple families waiting for similar orders. Once our food was in the window and the cook said order up it continued to sit there while the counter workers just stood leaning on the counter until I asked him to give me our order that we had waited long enough, which he then did but with no condiments or straws for the drinks. All in all I would say the park was fun but as I have seen in some other posts, the kitchen staff does not seems to have any real since of urgency or want to be there! We will definitely remember these issues next trip to Destin!
Great waterpark! Lots of slides, 2 different lazy rivers going around the park, wave pool, waterfalls, lots of variations to accommodate very small children to teens and adults. Very attentive staff, very safe park, lots of lifeguards.
Rude staff, not enough tubes/floats, place was dirty and way too much money for what you get.. I would not recommend, nor return.
They charge for water even after u spend 32$ on drinks
The water park was a lot of fun but the ticket for this fun was way overpriced for what you get. No outside food allowed which would be fine if they had reasonable prices but they have VERY high prices on all the food. $5 for Corn Dog only no fries, chips etc. Corn Dog with fries $9. Just want a bottle of Water...that is $3.

Cramped and chaotic. Not much to do if you are not a water slide fan. The water "roller coaster" would get jammed up with riders, and it was impossible for them to un-jam and get moving again. Gets crowded quickly and hard to find a spot to cool of on a hot day.

We had fun at Big Kahuna but it was a bit pricey. There is some maintenance that needs to be done,especially in the different lazy rivers. The locker area is a nightmare. The area between the lockers isn't very big,people congregate there to apply sunscreen,check their phones,etc. The locker are also EXPENSIVE. For the large locker I believe it was $15. Drinks are also pricey. I'm not sure about food prices because we ate dinner afterwards at a local seafood restaurant.
As with any park, the food, parking, admission tickets and locker rental is extremely overpriced, but with all of that said, the park is a lot of fun. The bathrooms are awful, but the rest of the park is very clean and very well ran. The customer service personnel were extremely friendly and I was glad to see the amount of lifeguards that were on duty. I believe every square foot of water was in sight of a lifeguard which was very reassuring. The lifeguards were definitely on top of everything going on.
I was there the day before yesterday with my family. I was trying to go down stairs to get on a ride when I slipped and fell down the four steps twisting my ankle and hitting right hip on all four stairs going down. The surface in the water is extremely slippery!! Of course the lifegaurd apologized profusely and said Big Kahuna's is "talking" about repainting steps. I am sure Big Kahuna's makes enough money where adding texture to the step in the water (like they have on the steps outside of water) should be available. Not even 15 minutes later my niece was walking into the kiddie pool on the slope and she slipped and fell as well. Definitely a disappointment and safety hazard!!! This needs to be fixed.
Clean park. Friendly staff. EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL lifeguards. I have never seen more attentive lifeguards ever. I was in awe the entire day!
Every time me and my family go a portion of the park is shut down and the bathrooms are never clean and they are dark and dengy.
Totally not worth it, the food is awful, there is not enough slides and they close slides just to save some money, I worked there and I thought they were so unfair with the guests, and people that worked there. Don't waste your time or money there as I did.
It is so family friendly. The staff could be nicer.
Pros: Good Adult Rides. Clean. Good Discount for Fathers Day. Good Location. Easy parking. Military Discounts. Cons: Not sufficient shade...need more umbrellas. Some rides you get stuck in whirlpools and lifeguards just sit and look at u (Shipwreck in Panama City Lifeguards help you to make it more enjoyable). Only serve junkfood. Overall a fun day. We will be back.

Ummmm, mediocre. Really old and very dirty. They definitely need to close for a day or so just to clean up. Most of the employees are children but they are professional and vigilant. Would I go again? If there was another water park near me, NO, but since it's the only one in the area, I guess I'll go only when they have specials. They are also kinda over priced.

Nice water park. Crowded but fun. One person serving drinks was absolutely rude. She appeared and acted that she would much rather be somewhere else. She intentionally spoke and shaped her mannerisms so that a very apparent passive aggressive behavior was present. She moved so slowly that the her co-workers were able to make 2 drinks to her one. We actually left soon after. The park, however, was pretty decent, hence the 2 stars.
A great way to play in the water without the sand and salt of the beach. Not usually over crowded.
Could not use any of the water slides , tube required but there were not any left
Great place to spend the day with the family. The park is pretty big so expect to do a lot of walking. The kiddie areas are great and they allow kids with life jackets on a lot of the slides. My 4 year-old loved that he could go down some of the same slides as his big sisters. I HIGHLY recommend renting a cabana. You have your own personal space and a cabana attendant that will bring you food and drinks (food and drinks not included). You also get a personal safe, table with chairs, and a chaise lounge chair. It's not cheap, so go early, get a cabana and spend the whole day at the park.
I am a local and season pass holder. Extremely frustrated with the staff and customer service this season. Waited 45 min for food after waiting 25 min in line and none of the staff members wanted to assist me in any way. I was over charged for what I ordered and I think next year we will be finding somewhere else to spend our summer days.
The water park was exciting overall, as the staff were friendly and the rides were spectacular, the only downside I saw was sanitation, especially back in 2008 when some kid used the bathroom in the pool.
Big Kahuna Topical Mini Golf is a joke!! Dont waste your money here. They have 3 courses to pick from the pathways are littered with debri and the wooden walkways are severely rotten
The golf greenways were also littered with debri and not well taken care of. Maybe in its prime days this was a good place for mine golf but now its real run down.

Spring Break 2019. Only the mini golf is open. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. But staff was only the teenager in the ticket booth. Has multiple colored courses so people shouldn t be waiting on the group ahead of them but we all seemed to be on the blue course so ??
The real issue for us was the course had debris from all the palms and bushes on every putting surface. Nobody was sweeping or blowing it away except maybe at the end of the day? Some of the tunnels that traveled to the second level of the hole were so clogged with debris we had to use sticks to move our ball through. Took off 2 stars.
Very cool water park that has been a staple in Destin.
It was ok. Over the years I've been several times. But last year I bought season passes. I didn't enjoy the park as much as only going a few times a year. The more I went the more I realized how over priced it was. The food was the nasty park food ever. The lockers are over priced. The lines are super long. And with a baby its just not fun to have to walk miles around a park to get on rides just to wait in line. They say members get free parking good luck finding a place. I didn't renew my pass n think I'll visit shipwreck this year.
Not my favorite place. Water is way to cold even in kiddie pools, you can see they have a big water loss and constantly pumping in more cold water. Hard to navigate all the little passages and walkways, some lead to nowhere. Crowded. Just poorly designed with that big hill it s on. We went to Panama City Beach water park and it s so much better, flat and spread out.
Great place to have fun for a day. I took my two nieces here a few weeks ago and we had a blast! There are tons of rides to go on and the lazy river is a wonderful place to go and relax in. I can't believe how fast you could get through slides and rides even with it being busy. They have a good cue and waiting system so you can always have fun even when it's busy. Check it out if you're in the area.

As locals we visit every year and have had annual passes. Sometimes it's just too packed and feel that they should limit occupancy. Also wish there were more healthy food options and lower prices on junk food :)
You guys need to order more floats/tubes. Plus, the pirate ship in Bombs Away Bay is closed; kids LOVED that! Also, the concession stands have no sense of urgency. We had not bought season passes for several years but you guys still haven't fixed the "same ol' problems" even after all this time. Makes me not want to renew and Shipwreck Island is not much farther away.
This is a nice place for the family! Plenty of slides for everyone of all ages to enjoy!
Kids always love this place. Could clean up and repair the bathrooms. Food court could be cleaner. Great place to bring the whole family.
The park was a little run down. Could stand some upgrades and fixes. The mini golf course was overgrown and several holes were completely filled with water or dirt. There was garbage thrown everywhere and like the water park really run down.
Played putt putt there had a great time for a good price.
If the staff was consistent from week to week on the rules would be better. Also need more tubes for the lazy river I dont want to walk ot i want to float. I am a season pass holder and will be getting season passes next year hope to see a change next year
Very fun and very clean water park. It was a nice change-of-pace from the beach.
We spent $193 to enter the park for 2 adults and 2 children. This was way too much money for this water park. It was run down and many areas were filthy (especially bathrooms). Several rides were closed altogether. Pretty disappointing for the price.
We go here with our family every year its very kid freindly and you can chill and relaxthe cost is mid and you can get all the attractions for the price of 38 dollars if you go there just make sure you go on a sunday or monday the place is pretty big and theres a lazy river and some big slides get there elary or your going to wait a long time but have fun -local tour guide
