I never even got to go in i went with my aunt and cousins to use the guest passes and they told me i couldn't go in and that the tickets expired when they were not even up 1 out of 5 stars earned

This is a cool water park. The life guards are super friendly and are very vigilant. They charge $5 to park and that's a big ripoff. You don't get a spot closer and there's no one directing traffic and that means people park horribly.

It's great for families and the prices are reasonable. I'd give it 5 stars if parking wasn't a joke and obvious money grab.

Today I saw the worst of people and management that did little that I saw to resolve the problem. The issue was the number of tubes to ride several of the ride and the lazy river. People were getting a tube and holding on to it taking them to areas that were clearly marked that no tubes we allowed, taking them out of the water preventing others from enjoying the use of them while they were eating or visiting the lockers. To get a tube, you had to wait and almost beg people coming off the ride them be the first to grab it when released. People were almost getting in to pushing matches trying to get a tube. A person at the end of the ride to make people give up and control the line of people waiting.

Great water slides and 2 lazy rivers. Season pass is a reasonable price.

Kids had a blast on all the water rides and Nana certainly enjoyed the lazy river!

After paying $180 for 2 kids and 2 adults they had 6 slides closed due to being under staffed. Both of there wave pools didn't work. I was already thinking about going to waterville instead because of this place being shut down for the bacteria in the water. Usually I like big kahuna but the last five times I've been they have a lot of stuff shut down. I would recomend waterville or Sam's fun city waterpark over this place they are way cheaper and they keep their stuff up and running.

Completely dissatisfied with staff. The lifeguards just sit there despite situations that come up. Typically if a rider is not moving as expected staff will jump in and provide assistance. NOT these lifeguards. The food wasnt great and the facility was not clean. The wave pool was inoperable so was the new kid section, the Bucaneer. Maybe my expectations were too high because this facility did receive a 4 out of 5 rating, however I was NOT impressed. I've been top many water parks and this had been the worst by far. I would not recommend.

Tons of fun in the sun! The slides were by far my family's favorite part. Very friendly staff.

We arrived at park while it was raining. They let us enter park while it was raining. The rain never worsened, but there were frequent and long breaks in the rain. Our family of 12 was content and having a good time. Our kids were having a great time in a mostly empty park. After a few hours, they closed the park due to the same rain they let us enter with (no lightning; no safety concerns noted). They refused a refund. They stayed open long enough to sell concessions, then closed. Very unfortunate business practices. Will not be returning.

Good family day if you get here when it opens to make it a value. Family of 5 will run $200 to include a full lunch, drinks and admission. We felt it was worth it. The park was clean, well supervised and run. Very few lines for a June day (weekday). We spent 7.5 hours here so we made it worth our investment. Overall good time. I would visit again.

I m giving the park a 3 star because my children did have a good time. The park has really went downhill in the last few years. Pools and slides were very dirty and need to be repainted, debris and trash laying around, and the bathrooms were so nasty we didn t want to use them. Also, a lot of the tubes needed air and you couldn t even use them. Hopefully, a renovation and a good cleaning is in the budget.

Overall the park was a fun place to be; however, I feel like after you pay 200.00 to get in to the park to play and after purchasing food and drinks for a family of 4 that the least that you could do is have free parking.

Drove a hour because it said it was open online, and even gave me the option to buy my tickets which luckily I didn't. We get there and sat for 15 min waiting for it to he open just to be the waterpark dont open until after Easter. Well it might be a good idea to put that on the website.

Beware of "soft opening" days where you pay full price for admission but half the attractions are closed. We brought my toddler on a Thursday in May and paid full price for him to play on the equivalent of an aging rec center baby pool, since it was the only area open to children his size. The staff was polite but completely unaccommodating when I expressed my disappointment. I will not return.

Wife, myself and 5 kids went on a Saturday. Lines moved quickly,staff was terrific with the exception of the food court. Very unorganized and most didn't speak good English.

Rides are fun and varied. Great for all ages and very kid friendly. Love the water park!!!

the people at the photo booth had the need to take my bag that i left behind the truck that they were in , and they had the thought of like if i take her stuff she will learn a lesson of people stealing so instead of coming up to me and telling me to get my stuff and move it when i was there , they hid it. it was unprofessional and honestly stupid and i so wanted a anxiety attack today so thank you to the people at the photo booth!! (near the entrance) - june 30th 2018 around 5:30ish to 6:00.

Spent a day with the family here and had such a great time. Nobody wanted to leave! We will definitely be back next time we vacation

There are so many different things to do there and the waters not to cold but it's not to warm either. Also I love there cool cups for slushies!

Half rides were off. One of the lazy r8vers were closed as well as many other slides. The wake ride wasn't on as well as many other things to do. The wooden porch area where the toddlers play in paradise island was splintered and falling apart. The food is worse than cafeteria food!

If you think this place was clean? I hate to see your house. RUN DOWN AND DIRTY. AVOID!!!

Family friendly and a great idea for a day full of fun in the sun!! Water slides, variety of lazy rivers!!! Something for kids of ALL ages!!!!

Retired military on vacation, first experience was not a pleasant one. Young girl at the ticket booth saw my ID, acknowledged it, and still charged me full price. When I told her she charged me the price for regular tickets, she showed zero compassion for the mistake, and nonchalantly went to get a manager, or an assistant. When he showed up, instead of refunding me cash, he stated the credit would go back to my bank. When I asked "how long would it take?" He replied, "3-5 days". I asked why couldn't he just give me the cash, he said his "Manager" told him it's not the policy". SO, I had to pay another fee for my family to enter the park, couldn't use my refund...and what makes it worst, the girl STILL got it wrong. I found it was like this at the food court as well. There is no sense of urgency, nor care. Lazy River and one or two slides were about all there was to enjoy after the debacle with the entrance fee. For the amount consumers pay, it's a horrible way to run a business. Highly recommend an upgrade and training.

Way overpriced. Paid $120 for my son and his friend to visit both the water park and the adventure park. Web site says adventure park is open from 2 pm to 9 pm. At 3 pm, the adventure park was closed. Called the phone number listed and checked hours of operation on a recorded msg which said golf open at 1, thrill rides open at 2, go-karts open at 3. Couldn't find this info on the web site or we would have planned to go later in the day. I spoke to someone who didn't know why things weren't open, then was transferred around until finally a rude lady told me the mini-golf is self serve. How does that work for people who didn't pay full admission price but just want to play mini golf? She told me go-karts open at 4. I told her that's not what the revcorded msg says, and she said it's been that way for years. Apparently they can't be bothered with updating their recorded phone msg to provide accurate information. Will NEVER go back to this loser.

Wasn t too bad. Good experience. Wish they had more rides. More the limited amount of rides it was more expensive that going to Tampa water parks or some Orlando water parks. But decent experience. Probably wouldn t go back

We had a blast. Such a fun park with areas for all ages. Lifeguards and staff were all very courteous.

If the food was cheaper I'd give it 5 stars! However, the rides were so much fun I will definitely be coming back!

It was an amazing experience. Me and my family had a wounderful time the lifeguards were very nice and it was worth my money.The the lazy river is nice and relaxing I advice every one go it really was an amazing experience.

I love Big Kahuna's and so does my family. We always have a good time. It's easier than packing everyone up for the beach and it's just as much fun. There are so many lifeguards that we always feel safe. The only complaint I have is the food situation. Some food is good (philly cheesesteak) and some food isn't as yummy. But you can't stand in one line to get everything you need. Everytime i go to feed my family we have to make a plan for who is going to stand in which line. I have perfected it but I would be frustrated trying to figure it out if I wasn't from around here.

Very crowded and a Young child had a # 2 accident in wading pool and staff shut down half of pool area. We were there least then an hour, after some conversations they agreed to refund our money.

It was super funnnnn but the only bad thing was the staff they seemed to not be happy to be at work or something but the other hand all the slides were super fun will definitely go back. I really do recommend going to this Waterpark!!!

Swimmers beware, Im a CPO, I took my family here for some fun. The water was absolutely nasty! Very cloudy, couldn't see the bottom. Nasty foam build up from skin cells and sun tan oil. Somthing is wrong with the filtration system or they just don't know what they are doing. If you got diarrhea, pink eye or ear aches I assure you it was from this water! I bet crypto is rampant in this water. A park this big should be ashamed to have the water look like this. Here in Baldwin county the health dept would shut the park down for this nasty looking water.

It's a great place to spend your day just a lot of stairs

Definitely a great place to go in this area, perfect for families, groups small or large. Prices are fair and I was here today with my family and my kids had a great time. I have a season pass for my family and enjoy getting a cabana. We will be back

FUN, FUN, FUN they have baby pools, lazy rivers, wave pool, water slides, mini gulf plus more. It's cheaper to get the season pass if you plan on going more then once. $5 parking fee. However they we're out off ice when we went.

Biggest rip off in Destin!!! They punish the season pass holders by making them wait in the longest line with the fewest employees to help. On too of that they close at 5:00pm!!!

Decent for kids. Slides are mostly for little kids. But if you need to chill, thus is your spot.

Had a good time but the over 42" making the cost of a child ticket $46.99 really made me unhappy.

Went late July 2020.
Disappointed that over half the park was closed. They say they were operating at reduced capacity but I think reduced capacity simply translated into "we are going to close the entire rear of the park." The patrons themselves were not practicing social distancing at all anyways. It was for no discernable reason that so many of these slides were closed as you could clearly see the water running through them. Their way of marking these areas off too was so sloppy and unprofessional with just yellow caution tape thrown everywhere.
The park is also just not in great shape which is shocking considering they literally had months to touch it up during the lockdown. Painting needed, leaky slides, broken effects.

Horrible experince. Waited over an hour to check out at the 1 and only store they have. The cashier had no idea what she was doing she charged us double for items and then rang up an item wrong. All together she over charged us $36. When we noticed we asked for her to take it off she called for help and we wait another 20 minutes and at this time the line was getting super long. No manager came to help so she tried to take and fix it herself. She then tried to keep the hat we boight at the wrong priced but i told her no i would like to pay the correct proce which was $5 less than she had charged us for. After all was said and done it was 1 hour and 12 minutes. I called the manager and was told they were coming out and for me to wait. After another 20 minutes of waiting we decided to go into the park. No one came to help. We were just ready to make the best of our day. Our first stop a kid got hurt and blood was everywhere and the lady in charge of the kiddie area knew but left the blood all over the ground i had to bring it to her attention and ask if she would be cleaning it. We left the area and it seemed to be a trend no life guard or person in charge of each area seemed to care of pay a lick of attention. Ans it def was not made for anyone with any kind of disability. As we left i went i to talk to the manager but they seem to not care either

We have a lot of fun here. Needs some upgrades since it's pretty old but for the price it's worth going.

OMG me and my son went two times this summer. It is so worth the extra hr drive for us to here because they have so much more then waterville! Everything was so much fun an food also. Buy tickets online line an you just walk up to gate show our phone with tickets an we were in. Save money by buying online. Cant wait for next summer because we will sure go back! Every ride was fun to the kiddy pool! Lockers to put your things in and you can go in an out if it all day. (Need debit or credit card for them no cash)

Great waterpark! We always enjoy our time at Big Kahunas! Lots of walking! Right in the center of Destin! Also very clean always! Also it's never to crowded! Only problem is that the staff are quite and they dont seem to care to see anyone!

It is great for a family outing or something among those lines I absolutely love it.

We desided to buy season passes this year. Paid an printed out online with it clearly being said online that doing so will save ypu time. Showed up an stood in the one line they had set up for over an hour in the direct sun saved no time would at as a matter of fact took 10 times as long to get into the park... I will not buy them next year... I will simply pay full price everytime i go just to avoid this.. I would leave 5 stars if it wasnt for this

I love waterparks and this one is a pretty good option. Lots of slides to try and the place is a lot bigger than it looks from the road. Great play area for the little ones and there are 2 lazy rivers (front and back of park). We had a season pass last year and the only thing we noticed was that by the end of the season it seemed like there were too many rides closed due to maintenance.

The park was very fun and all...but...the layout is just pretty confusing and it is hard to find your way around the park...it needs more directories or something to simplify it...and be prepared to come face to face with some very rude tourists as well as some rude people working the concessions that you can hardly understand...

Session pass is 53.00 it's a fantastic place for summer fun

Worst waterpark I've ever been to. Employees are rude and unhelpful. You get stuck on every single slide, so the engineering is terrible. They rely on you to bump into other people to get down the slide. Please please please do not waste your money. Not a very safe or clean waterpark. And the music is not family friendly, they only played trap rap while we were here. We were so dissatisfied that we left Fter only being here one hour. Big kahuna.... fix your S**t.... otherwise you will be out of business soon.

Not the most amazing experience, the people at the bottom of the slides didn't seem to enjoy their jobs

Staff is awful and extremely rude/unhelpful. Forgot expensive glasses behind and called 20 minutes after leaving (they close at 5, so approximately 5:15) but no one could bother to check in the bathroom where they had last been. I asked if with the large staff they had if anyone could take a couple minutes to check for us or if we d be aloud in as turning around in the awful construction traffic was not going to happen unless we knew for sure. I got the reply no we can t and hung up on. Our family has season passes here and I m regretting it.
