Super fun for families but a bit on the packed to tightly.

This is a much better water park than any other close by. This place blows Waterville out of the water(pun)
You feel very immersed in a jungle paradise once you walk through the tunnel. Fun slides, amazing lazy river, and great atmosphere. Only complaints are food prices inside the park(cant bring your own food inside so they monopolize this), usually pretty packed(not that theres a long wait for slides but theres always alot of people), and they havent updated the park in quite some time. You know they're making plenty of money, but they should be reinvesting more in the park. If they did that, I'd say five stars.

Great Fun. $40 a person seems a little much, but we had a great time. Got there when it opened which helped with the lines. Definitely will be going back.

Yearly season pass holders. We love this park. Big enough to take up an entire day and exhaust the family with fun, and not too. If to be overwhelming. Never have any issues with long lines either! I do have a love/hate relationship with one of the lazy rivers though!!! Always get stuck!

Zoombezi Bay is a great place for fun family times!! I highly recommend the lazy river!

Best Waterpark ever made I'm going to this park again

No Parking, No tubes, had to wait in line 45 minutes for food. And after waiting over a hour for a tube was told I had to give it up when EVERYONE else was keeping them the entire day.

We have a place in Destin and now that our kids are a little older we thought we'd try the water park. I was surprised by the no outside food or drink rule but thought, oh well we will just get food there no big deal. My husband stood in line for over an hour just to get a lunch for our kids then another 30 mins for the food to be ready. If you're not going to allow outside food then the park really needs to work on speeding up the food service. It was expensive to get into the park and the time waisted in line to get food was ridiculous.

It's a great place if you visiting the area its where an adult can be a kid with their kids and enjoy the water rides or just relax in a tube and cruise around the whole water park

Took a family trip her over 20 ppl. Staff was very rude. A man got in my child face because his daughter was sitting at the end of a water slide and when my child came down she slide into her and it started a huge altercation. Food was cold and nasty. We rented a cabana which was convenient but our hostess was very rude and not so helpful. A lot of the slides where closed in the park. We bought a package to include lunch snack and a souvenir cup they gave us souvenir cups from 2018 instead of 2019. It was not enough innertubes in the lazy river you literally had to hound someone to give theirs up. Alot of areas around the park were smelly. Will not be returning.

Super fun but food and drinks are expensive. Bottle water was 3.50

So much fun!! You and your family will love it. Fun for all ages. We get season passes every year.

We only played putt putt. The course was not as kept up as some of the other locations. Could use some more decorations for aesthetic.

Big park on side of HWY 98 and has alot ot rides and attractions,spring is best season to avoid crowds.

Great for the area! Don't go expecting Aquatica or some huge water park. Some really fun rides. Great for the family.

We went over the summer and had a blast!!! I m 32 and I had a blast!!! The kids especially loved it! There is more than one toddler kid area and that was amazing!! We could move about and they loved it!!

Fun and relaxing place but dang, this place is in the need of some serious maintenance. When you spend nearly 50 dollars per person one expects the paint to look fresh, the cracks to be filled and the boardwalks to look nice. Get it together folks!

It's not a bad place to go but is severely lacking in basic maintenance. They really do need to work on keeping the park clean. Public Safety is not in there standard that all right now we rode one of the rides and ended up losing two sets of bathing suits because they do not take safety seriously I would not recommend coming to this place

It was military based so it was super expensive for people who did not serve. Nothing against military but it was not fair for regular people. Price was very very VERY high without a V.A. card. It was way over crowded for $500 dollars (family of four).

Yes, there is a lack of tubes. In fact there are probably more food court cleaners and blue shirts standing around doing nothing than there are tubes.
Did I see meth scabs on somebody there, Yes. Made wonder about the sanitary issue. Did I see a band aid floating around in the lazy river? Yes. Did I catch a lifeguard dozing off at his post while on the lazy river, Yes, twice.
There's one lifeguard at the kiddie pool with the 3 slides when there should be 2. Way too many kids per area for one to keep an eye on.
Should you bring pool shoes? Yes, I'm not sure if that's water or piss in the men's bathroom.
Food was decent. Definitely not chic fil a waffle fries.

I used to like this park but then my daughter got injured there - due to the tubes being severely under-deflated - and they told me to go to the local ER, which we did. When the $61.00 dollar bill came to me, I sent it to Big Kahuna's office, SEVERAL times. I called them SEVERAL times, I faxed them SEVERAL times, and I wrote them SEVERAL times both by snail mail and email. I got one call and one email stating my case was forwarded to the proper department but then nothing happened- except the bill got put in collections. So now I paid the bill that Big Kahuna's should have paid and am letting everyone know about this. Granted the bill was only $61.00 but considering they told me to go and it happened at their park, due to once again their negligence, I feel that they should have paid it. Well, they lost my business for life!

We just love Big Kahuna's! We love the Cabanas! There is so much to do here!

Great little park but they need to make it a little more accessible for strollers.

A fantastic place to bring the kids (and it's fun for the adults, I have to admit!). Tons of great slides, plenty to do, and we come back year after year. It can be pricey to bring the whole family, but it's worth it if you have a full day to spend.

Some stuff was closed due to social distancing but we still had a great time.

A really fun waterpark with a lot of slides and two lazy rivers. We went on a weekend and didn't have to wait more then 5 to 10 minutes for anything.

A lot of tubes are deflated. Only negative issue we had. Season pass is a great deal for locals. Make your money back after 2 trips.

My family and I had a blast here while we were in town for family vacation. I m looking forward to going again when we re back in the area.

I visited the park 06/19/18. I initially spoke to Brian, one of the managers that works for Big Kahunas. He is simply wonderful and I cannot say enough for what he did for my family. My child is 9 years old and is a special needs child, who doesnt do well around a whole lot of other people, i called to reserve my spot, so my son would not feel so crowded. Brian was so nice, he answered all my questions, and when we arrived he personally walked my entire family to our section. We even had a sign that said "Welcome Michael and family" to the park. My son felt so special that day. I just wanted to make sure the owner of Big Kahunas knows what a great asset Brian is to this water park. He really took care of me and my family. I will be back and I will be speaking directly with Brian again. We love your park, and my family certainly enjoyed themselves as well. Brian you are truly an amazing, kind energetic person. Thank you so much for making my family feel so welcome at Big Kahunas!

Tiny compared to waterparks in Texas but definitely a fun time with the family.

We bought tickets online to save a few dollars since there was 13 of us. The website says all attractions are open. When we arrived, half the part was closed. I asked an employee and they told me it changed each day. I mentioned the website saying all rides were open and she told me they don t use the website to update information to people. Seems pretty dumb to state one thing on the website and it not be true. The only sign we saw in person about rides closed was as we left. I would not have payed for full price tickets for a park half closed.

Nice change of pace, something to do besides the beach. Just not enough shade and chairs at this park.

Great family day full of water fun. My mom Loved the lazy river and waterfalls.

I've been going here for YEARS I'm a local. They've gotten better then they used to be. Everything is priced high yes but it's really fun and the deals on the passes are great!

Great park, with great rides. Almost 1/4 of the rides were closed down though. Would have been nice to know before buying tickets. However we still had a great time. But, I only give 2 stars because there was one water fountain in the whole park that I could find and it was broke. With all the staff and maintenance working around the park I feel like they could have this fixed. But, when you charge 3.50 per bottle water why would you want a functional water fountain? So,

I read the reviews prior to visiting this park. It's across the street from my hotel so the kids were excited it was there. From the reviews I was expecting rude, uncaring staff, long wait times and closed attractions.
The staff was incredible. I've never seen such care and attention to safety. It was clean, lines moved efficiently. We brought our lunch to eat in the parking lot so I didn't experience the food although it looked pricey but not out of the ordinary for a water park. We will definitely return next time we are visiting Destin.

When I went threw the black slide was fun in the wavy pool

Not near as fun as I thought it would be looking through the broacher and when you're driving by. A lot of people which makes it packed. I will say for a place like that though the food prices are really reasonable. It's something to do overall

The bathrooms were totally discussing, service was rude and absolutely run down. Would not go back.

From beginning to end, this experience was disappointing and frustrating. We purchased season tickets online, assuming that we would be able to walk right in. WRONG. After standing in line, we were told that we would need to go to guest services to obtain a picture ID. By the time we had wasted that 30 minutes in line, the guest services line had time to get nice and long as well. A bit of signage, and/or a person "directing traffic", would have gone a long way in alleviating the frustration of lots and lots of guests. I did not encounter one person or family that was not complaining about the process required for obtaining the pass. The not knowing if you had finally made it to the correct line was the most unsettling part. The process was lengthy, slow, and downright aggravating. SIGNAGE!!!

The amount of steps that we had to go up and down just to get to an area for the adults to find seating was a workout. I'm am in no way training for a marathon, but I am certainly not out of shape. I'm not sure how the mothers of young children, or older guest were managing.

The seating that we found was crowded, and the area where we were sitting smelled of urine, much like what the boy's bathroom smells like in a school at the end of the day. It was nauseating.

When we decided to eat, we had to travel back up the daunting steps, wait in line forever for mediocre food, and then eat at a table with mustard all over it. The food was about what you would expect, but the drinks were flat.

Not one single employee seemed to understand their job description, and they certainly had received zero training in guest services. They were, however, fluent in shoulder shrugging and pointing. I never once saw a manager checking on the various areas.

Although I personally did not ride any rides, our kids did not seem super impressed, but they didn't hate it. There was one incident when my son stood in a long line only to be told at the last minute that he had the wrong color intertube for that particular ride. Again, signage would have helped, not to mention just common courtesy. The employee could see my son for a good ways away before he arrived at the point of it being his turn, but the employee never said anything. This seemed lazy and unmotivated on the part of the employee, not to mention disappointing and aggravating from my son's point of view.

The waterfall was the best feature there, but it was the reason so much walking was required up and down steps to get from one place to the other.

The bathrooms were not tended to once while we were there. The same toilet stayed stopped up the entire time, and over all the bathrooms just did not feel clean from the moment we arrived. Nothing did, actually.

Maybe we just caught them on a bad day, but given the fact that we had a difficult experience within every area of the park, I feel that it is highly unlikely. According to the locals that I talked with in the various slow moving lines, it is apparently always this way.

We will never be back to Big Kahunas. Shipwreck Island in Panama City Beach is far superior to Big Kahunas. We only drove the hour from PCB to Destin to try and change up our vacation a bit. Our boys are 12 and 13 now, and we thought they might enjoy something new. Big mistake on our part, but it won't happen again.

I've never given a review, bad or good, before. But given the consistently bad service, I just couldn't let it go without getting it off of my chest.

We did see a man named Bob with a tag containing his name and title-"General Manager" as we were walking out. It seemed pointless to speak to him about the service at that point. Besides, he was busy cutting up with the teenage employees, so it would have probably been futile anyway.

The potential for a great business is there, but great businesses don't just happen. Great businesses are born out of the implementation of great business plans and strong leadership. Hopefully, both will be implemented at some point, but we will certainly not be around to see it.

I love this place my favorite is the lazy river I go every Sunday

This place is DEFINITELY not worth the money I spent. They were out of some foods and souvenir cups. The food is overpriced. Than we had to pay $5 to leave out the parking lot. The Cabana is $150, there is NO PRIVACY.. I must say this is my last time at this water park. I should have taken my family back to Waterville or schliterbahn.

You cant bring in coolers or drinks. So plan on spending a lot of money on drinks and snacks. The people they have working in concessions dont care one bit that you've been in line for an hour just to get your kids a drink. It is so mismanaged! While standing in line everyone was talking about never coming back and how it was not worth it. I agreed completely and will never take my family back. Save your money!

Why go to the beach when you can stay clean by Big Kahuna's

This place has ALOT to do. I see the reviews about the tubes and I will agree.. there are 2 lazy rivers and 2 slides that all use the same tubes.. so my suggestion is find tubes, however long that may take, rides those rides, float where u want to float cuz once you give them up, you will play hell getting them back.. we have a family of 4 and it's super tough to find 4.. we did it though. The good thing about the lack of tubes is the lazy river usually isn't too crowded. We heeded the warning about the food and didnt get any (except dippin dots) but the pizza I saw go by looked yummy.. maybe next time.. all in all a great little park.. oh get a map or risk missing stuff.

Big Kahuna's water park is awesome. They have two great lazy rivers. Both lazy rivers have really unique slides that end in the lazy rivers. It's a bit expensive but it's so worth it. The food is typical park food. I recommend getting the annual pass online. Doing so gets you free parking and discounts on food in the park.

It was really fun, but I lost my prescription glasses and nobody called. They didn't have handicapped areas and there were to many steps for handicapped people

From what I personally have heard from both adults and children....it's supposed to be a great place to have fun and or even go to relax..its more than 1 idea going on ! Will give a review when accomplished on the list.

Easy entrance especially if you pre-purchase tickets on-line. Well maintained water park. Helpful staff - most of them. Only drawback is food service. Don't expect quick service during lunch rush. Food overpriced but surprisingly good.

Great day last Sunday! First year to buy season tickets and we are sure glad we did. All three of our teens met up with friends and had a super time while my husband and I relaxed. Perfect Sunday afternoon!

Awesome waterpark. Friendly staff. Fun for hours. Have visited many times over the years. Kids absolutely love. Won't regret your visit. Glad we purchased annual pass.

Great environment for the kids. Lots of activities...a bit pricey though for the tickets and the concession stand (especially given the quality of the food).
