bhandal dental surgery Review

I have been calling the practice since 8.15 this morning.I didn't get through until 9.04am.When I told the receptionist she offered no Opology. Won't be going there again...poor practice when it comes to customer service.

I was referred from my practice for a tooth extraction I cannot fault this surgery Dr Pom and nurses Irina and Hannah were excellent

Not a good experience. Had my tooth extracted and although appreciate the apointment there were staff in and out the room throughout the whole thing. Also anaesthetic was given without any ease and after care discussion was short and blunt. This place lacks care and dignity. Also worry about hygene with staff in and out the room.

I was referred to this practice as I had a particularly bad broken tooth. The reception staff were very pleasant and professional, the treatment I received from A. S Bhandal was first class quick and painless, I would highly recommend to anyone.

Our dentist was Manjeet Bhandal. Every time we go it is a very pleasant experience.

Had a cracked tooth that lead to a huge abscess, booked an emergency appointment on the phone and was seen an hour later by Nikesh, very professional and knew the problem straight away. He advised treatment with medication, came back a week later and within 15 minutes I d had an x ray and 2 teeth removed. Always had a bad fear of dentists but would recommend Bhandal dental and Nikesh to anyone! Great work mate, well done!

Absolutely disappointed with the service very unprofessional, went in with my 3 young children in the heavy rain!
After waiting in the queue for 5 minutes was told to fill in 3 forms before the kids could be seen. After filling in the forms the receptionist told us the dentician couldn't see us, as he has gone for break and we were told to rebook!
when I booked they didnt say you will have to come and fill in 3 forms and that if you go over 3-4 minutes over your appoinment time they will not see you!!!! The delay was the queue and filling in forms! we arrived 5 minutes before our appoinment time.

Cannot comment on the service as I failed to actually get an answer to my phone calls to register. Always advertising on free radio but don't have enough staff to answer the enquiries........not a good sign

So I suffer with day to day anxiety, it amplifies when out of my comfort zone. I was a nervous wreck on the Wednesday I visited for a complex tooth extraction, Parmjeet Bhandal dealt me with and ensured me everything was going to be fine and to come back on Friday morning with a little more hope. I returned on Friday, still terrified, Parmjeet greeted me so normally like we had been friends for years, this helped me. After a small episode from me due to nerves, Mr Bhandal helped me with some breathing exercises before the procedure and kept my informed of everything along the journey. Overall I cannot thank him enough to helping me through it, unbelievable dentist and incredible human! I can t rate 1,000,000 out of 5 otherwise I would!!!

After neglecting a crumbling tooth for a few years it finally became infected and was causing me severe pain. I called in on the off chance on Thursday pm to book an appointment and was seen within 15 minutes. I had x-rays taken on a state of the art machine and was assessed. Due to the poor state of my tooth I had to be referred to Dr Amrik Bhandal and was given a course of antibiotics. I had only just got in the house when reception called to book me in on the Sunday at 8:50am. As the pain got worse and I could not sleep I called Friday morning at 8:30am to see if the appoint could be brought forward. The tooth was out before 9:30am. He was amazing as were his team and the reception team too. Can t thank you enough for all of your help and already enjoying being pain free.

So I was told not to go here as they are called the butcher's! And I decided I will make my own mind up.

Wow they where right!

So I had my tooth removed, and whilst the procedure was happened I had one of the staff holding my head down.

The gentle man was wearing screwfix mask and I could literally feel him breathing over my face.

Once my tooth was out they told the staff lady to send me straight out the doors, didn't let me rinse my mouth and gave me no cotton until I left.

I was left standing on the main road whilst I had blood all around my mouth and where I tried to put the bit of cotton in my mouth blood was dripping down my hand.

I was shaking and feeling vulnerable.

Its now 5days later and I'm still in pain! My tooth next to the one I had out is really hurting and is wobbly.

I've tried to call many times today and I've got no answer.

So if I was you I'd AVOID this place at all costs

Terrible help. I had an implant in Portugal and these guys refused to remove the stitches I need to take out after 8 days of surgery. Simple stitches!!! :/

No, thank you! Wouldn t use it again. Dr Bhandal might know his stuff but he missed number of fillings that needed to be done and also didn t even look at my teeth properly. In the end he left his practising dentist to do all the job. Was told I eat to much sweets (which I don t) and rejected to do some of the work that needed to be done. Ended up going to another dentist and paying twice.

I am a nervous patient but was referred to bhandals through a friend, I managed to get a same day appointment and Mr Bhandal made you feel very comfortable , the procedure was non invasive. I had a better experience than I previously thought. I will be making this my regular dentist now. Thanks

Will be anothe 15 mins. Was finally seen at 10.30 . Not kept updated or concerned at all about keeping patients waiting . Time to find a new dentist !

I have visit today bhandal dentist with very big tooth pain. I wanted to extract it. Everything was great, quick and easy. Kind personnel and doctor.

I am on warfarin so my own dentist would not do an extraction I needed, so they referred me to my hospital, i was contacted by Bhandals to come in and I had a tooth extraction done by Dr Amrik S Bhandal, the procedure went very smoothly and painlessly, the reception staff were very welcoming and professional, thank you i will recommend your practice to anyone i know that needs any kind of dental work, i was very impressed

I was referred to the practice by my own dentist for 2 extractions Dr Bhandal took time to explain the procedure and advised to have only 1 done today and to come back at later date for the other as he saw no benefit in me being sore on both sides of my mouth his manner was calm and reassuring I felt so relaxed 1st class service

I went for an emergency tooth extraction on Wednesday and Pav and his dental nurse were welcoming and friendly, they were attentive and I even advised I don't like needles so they made sure not to show it to me by telling me to close my eyes. The whole procedure was over in 15 minutes and it was completely pain and stress free. Very reassuring considering I had a fear of dentists before this.

Popped in today for a Wisdom Tooth extraction. Receptionists were very helpful. The Nurses/assistants were chatty with me and made me feel at ease. The Dental surgeon, I believe was Mr Bhandal. He explained the process, each step and was very polite and showed concern for my wellbeing throughout... a fantastic guy. Thank you very much to all involved with my experience today. I'd give 6 stars if it would allow.

Was referred from my own dentist for a root removal and a tooth out I had a bad experience with a dentist some years ago so was concerned about having teeth out however My dentist at bhandals was brilliant I didn't know he had pulled the teeth till he told me that's it over I can't thank him enough he has restored my faith in dentists i would go to him anytime he made the whole experience easy thank you

best dentists ive ever had! really flexible and helpful booking appointments, plenty of decent dentists and great service.

Adding to this, had several treatments today and the relatively young male dentist I saw was fantastic. He is extremely reassuring, has great patient manner and happy to answer all questions clearly and very patient. Would highly recommend.

Was refered to have teeth removed had first one done today. The whole team made me feel very safe re covid, also very friendly and helpful extraction done quickly with lots of after care advise

A great service today. I had a wisdom tooth extracted and couldn't have been in better hands. Nikesh was effecient and informative. I was in and out within 10minutes. Thank you! I have never found a dentist I am comfortable with but Bandal's makes you feel as comfortable as possible!

These people are fast, efficient and professional. Always been seen quickly and deal with the issue quickly so your in and out in a matter of minutes.

I've had a few issues in the past with dentist where they made me feel uncomfortable and they were rude. This meant I avoided going for awhile.
This year I decided I'd go to a new dentist and I have to say Everyone at Bhandal has been brilliant and I find myself actively recommending them. Always friend and ready to put you at eases. Very considerate and interested. They should be very proud to have should a great team.

Needed a wisdom tooth out for months. Passed around by other dentists until finally I came here. Had an appointment for an xray the first day, then the tooth was extracted the next morning. No messing about, I like it .

Couldn't sleep at night from a worsened tooth ache. Went in the next morning. They identified a crack in the tooth and cemented it up. Booking for filling in two weeks. No more pain. Best service. Very fast. Decent price.

Extremely pleased with the experience, 5 stars are not enough! I was able to book an appointment straight away, seeing it was an emergency. The staff are absolutely brilliant, helpful and, of course, highly skilled. I definitely recommend!

i had an extraction today at Bhandals with Nikesh, what a fantastic dentist who made me feel at ease and did a fantastic and very swift job. i was very nervous about appointment after past experiences however i was pleasantly surprised. After being quoted a two week wait by my local dentist to have a cracked tooth and suspected abscess looked at i gave Bhandals a call first thing this morning. appointment was made with no issue on the same day at 5pm , i arrived early, filled out the relevant forms, was seen very swiftly and by 5:14 was on my way, excruciating pain and irritation gone. Many thanks to Nikesh and the team at Bhandals for doing a great job, this practice is highly recommended and will be my go to for any future work needed.

Very poor service & rude staff. I did Visit to fix my teeth and paid for the treatment but they have not done properly.

What a shame, was sat for a hour before going back to reception to ask why the wait? Was then told that the dentist had moved onto another patient as they wasn't sure we were here? When checking in they took appointment card, name address etc, but didn't know we were here? She then implied that we didn't check in properly? Joke, reception needs training in booking people in properly, like i said, shame because the dentist himself is superb, a really knowegable guy with excellent bedside manor, so in summary, great dental guy, absolutely discusting reception service

A late review.

I had a filling with one of their dentists and asked for a certain type of filling but that was ignored by an arrogant clown who used a filling of his choice which I assume was the cheapest for the surgery even though I was paying myself.

The receptionists have a face on them, unwelcoming and quite unprofessional.

Also on that occasion I was listening to two nurses speaking about a dentist having it off with one of their colleagues another nurse, was wonderful and very professional to hear.

Possibly one the best dental practices in the area, I ve always found the staff to be friendly and professional and the fact they take on NHS patients is fantastic. Wow!! Just wow!! I got referred from my dentist to Bandal this morning. Within an hour of them receiving my referral they contacted me and got me straight in. My dentist was A.S Bandal. I had a tooth extraction and he was amazing from start to finish, always reassuring me everything is fine. I wasn t even in that chair more than 5mins that s how amazing he was. Also the help of his dental assistant she was amazing too. I think I will be making this practice my new dental practice. Thank you Bandal.

I was referred for an extraction. I booked my appointment when I needed with no problem. The extraction, x rays and everything took about ten minutes. It took me more to fill in the form! Everybody were very professional. They gave me instructions and material to take care of myself. It was a brilliant experience, pain-free! I strongly recommend. Thumbs up doc!!!

Past ecperiences have been generally positive however recently I have not had a very good experience with this dental surgery.

I had to have a root canal treatment, which was carried out well. A temporary cap was placed over the tooth until such a time that a "permanent" one could be applied after the Christmas holidays.
This temporary cap did not fit well and prevented me from closing my mouth properly or comfortably and subsequently broke twice that same day and once more in the following days.

After the "permaneent" cap was put on, while still in the surgery, I told my dentist that my teeth were not coming together correctly and the first time he was happy to continue shaving it down. However it still would not fit properly and after the third or fourth time of me saying so he said I would just have to get used to it as from his test (putting special paper between the teeth and seeing if it could be removed when pulled) he could see that in fact it was fitting correctly.

This apparently "permanent" cap also broke on the first day and has broken no less than three times more since then. I am now left with gaps btween the teeth where the cap was in which food gets stuck whenever I eat something and which causes irritation to the side of my tongue where it rubs.

Neither cap was "tooth-shaped" despite a mould being taken of my teeth for no apparent reason. This my teeth were unable to come together as the cap rose higher than the rest of my teeth which caused problems while eating and caused much discomfort.

I now have to have this cap replaced but fear that the same will happen again if I return to this dental surgery.

Brilliant service! I broke a front tooth yesterday, my usual dentist couldn't offer me anything until well into the new year. I rang up Bandhal this morning and an appointment for later in the morning - and now problem solved! Efficient, friendly staff and my Christmas isn't ruined after all!

I was unfortunate enough to need a broken molar extracted at end of November, was in and out, tooth out in about 10 minutes, that included wait in foyer, didn t feel a thing and no after pain, brilliant, I don t like the dentist but this has changed my way of thinking. Many thanks.

plus side+ rang at 11,got booked in at 12, on new year's day (believe they felt a bit obliged to take me 'cause I had an appointment at a sister clinic, but my dentist cancelled, so they sent me here)
minus side- I got there in time and was sent upstairs,after filling paperwork,NOT TOLD ABOUT ANY WAITING TIME. saw everyone in the waiting room go in, saw it filling up again and again everyone was called in before me. after an hour I went downstairs and asked reception for a glass of water, mentioned I had been waiting an hour, I was asked for my name and date of birth for some 5times, even made to write the date down by the two receptionist ladies consulting themselves and calling doctors regarding my waiting concern. they said that the waiting time is up to 2HRS. WISH THEY SAID THAT AT THE START. I said I'm fine waiting and asked for the water again and finally got a glass after one lady went and brought it for me. reception ladies did get stuff together after i went and talked to them downstairs, they said they'll try and get me in soon and might have even apologised, but altogether I would not say they were friendly or helpful much.

another minus - neither doctor or nurse apologised for the waiting time, it was a less than 10min consultation, I needed antibiotics prescribed. nurse was obviously a trainee, doctor was spending more time explaining to her what she had to put in the computer than checking my mouth(which hardly needed checking anyway, I have a swollen cheek,so an infection, hence, i only need a prescription)

I have been with this practice for 15+ years, I had a consultation for tooth extraction in October and today I went in for my appointment which was to have another consultation to discuss the extraction for the one front bottom tooth that is extremely loose and causing pain and problems talking and eating.. I am a known nervous patient that they know through past experience I need to be sedated for any extractions and I had spoken to them previously about this and they agreed,

Incompetence at its best!

Booked in for a routine check up 27/03/2018 which was handy as I had a bit of a sensitive tooth, had an X-ray and told by the dentist that everything was OK, it just needed a good clean and will settle down after a few days. The following day I woke up to the worst tooth ache that I had ever experienced! I called the dentist on the 28/03/2018 and the dentist told me to not worry as because he gave it a good clean, it would take time to settle! I did explain that Bank Holiday was coming up and I did not want this pain over it, he was adamant that he didn t need to see me again and it would settle!
Good Friday comes and the pain was even worse, I couldn t eatI I called the dentist, and they offered a emergency appointment for the Saturday but told that they don t do any operations on the weekends anway!! Saturday, seen by another dentist, told that I have an infection, given antibiotics and pain relief and told to see the original dentist to have the tooth taken out on Wednesday 4th April 2018. When I go to Boots to get the pain relief I was told that a dentist was not allowed to prescribe the pain relief prescribed. I then have to return to the dentist to get another prescription! I have been in pain all the Bank Holiday and eating food has been extremely difficult! Complaint logged and I am waiting a call back for an explanation to this organised incompetence!

My wife, Doreen, has ALWAYS been petrified of the Dentist. Finally went a couple of weeks ago after 30 years of moaning about pain. Given antibiotics she returned today and had to have a tooth extracted. The kind & gentle treatment she received from the Dentist who gave her constant reassurance has finally removed her fear. It was the Covid19 lockdown...
The date was June 2nd 2020 and although I hate dentists (due to past experiences at other dentists)...
I needed to see a dentist urgently ; I had a huge abscess in my gum (my right side of my face and neck was quite awollen) I was given, the 3 lots of antibiotics from a local dentist, which helped temporarily, but I was in so much pain, that I couldn't eat or sleep and I was referred to Bhandal Dentist Practice, to get emergency treatment.
I am petrified of dentists and concerned about Coronavirus, but ALL the staff, at Bhandals, were wearing PPE and were friendly, kind and put me at ease.
I was given an xray and my gum was numbed and amazingly, I didn't feel the needles.
The Dentist talked me through everything, he was doing.
He was gentle and I didn't feel any pain or discomfort, when he pulled the tooth out.
I knew, the gum would be sore, once the numbing had worn off, but honestly, the soreness was minimal and a couple of ibuprofen, was enough pain killer.

I've had teeth pulled out before, by other dentists and I've always suffered with a dry socket, which is extremely painful, so I spoke to the Dentist at Bhandals, about my fear of suffering with a dry socket, but thankfully, I didn't get a dry socket and my gum has healed.
It was the tooth and the whole tooth that was extracted...
I knew this, because the Dentist, gave me my pulled tooth ; I have never been given, my pulled tooth before at previous dentists and I'm glad I was given it, as I could see, that nothing had been left behind in my gum.

Went in on Wednesday scared like a baby due to my horrible experience with dentists in the past (no this surgery!!! ). After explaining my fears dr Mohamad Casha made sure I'll be looking forward to any future visits! The team was super patient and helpful, ensuring the visit was painless. I left really happy and still amazed how pleasant a dentist appointment can be!

I attended as the result of a referral for a difficult tooth extraction and was very impressed. I was put at ease and everything was fully explained by my dentist. I would definitely recommend this practice and it exceeded my expectations.

not happy !!!! the dental surgeon clanged a metal tool off my tooth to see if it hurt , when i had already told him i was in agony with it !! Not the sort of service i would expect from a dentist who has built his career to such epic proportion, he now employs idiots !!! Being a qualified Psychologist it truly males me question the ability of the staff at this surgery!. They seem more focused on getting people in and out of the doors than to offer a good dental service. Have changed dental surgeries and Will Not be going to this butcher again !!

I was referred by my own Dentist for an extraction & was absolutely terrified.....no need though as the treatment I received was amazing....The two dental nurses put me at ease straight away (sorry i can't remember their names!) I was in and out in no time and the whole procedure was pain free!....highly recommend...especially if you're a nervous patient!!

A prompt service with all necessary impressions, the adding of a new tooth to denture, all being completed within 24 hours.

Booked & was seen the same day.Needed two fillings which were carried out immediately. Ms Jaspreet Singh and her assistant carried out the work in a quick and professional manner.
This is a very busy practice so reviews need to be balanced. I can only speak from personal experience but have to say I am very satisfied with the service recieved.

I cannot recommend this practice enough. I had an emergency appointment at 7am on a Sunday morning to have a tooth extracted, all members of staff were very attentive and made sure I was calm and understood what could happen due to it being a rare case.

Ever since this appointment, I have cancelled my private appointments at my previous practice and use Bhandal for all of my dental appointments.

Lovely team, very experienced and every appointment is hassle free.

I am the worst patient when it comes to dentists and needed a wisdom tooth taking out for over a year. I finally plucked up courage and half heartedly called Bhandals (foleshill). The lady that booked me in was really sympathetic and reassuring. She booked me in first thing the following morning (Wednesday) so I didn t have time to worry.
The dentist I saw the next day was so lovely and also made me feel at ease. I had to be referred to mr Bhandal for the extraction, so needed to come back. I was called within an hour and booked in for Sunday morning. This morning (the day of the extraction) I d worked myself up so much that I could hardly walk or talk. Mr Bhandad removal my wisdom tooth so quickly, that there was no time to think about what he was doing. He has a really calm and caring approach, and within 10 minutes of arriving at the practice, I was walking out again.
Everyone I dealt with at the practice was kind and caring, and sympathetic to my anxieties

Went with wife for an appointment this morning ( Sunday) started to fill in medical form and only managed name and date if birth before she was called in. By time I completed form tooth was out and she was almost ready to go. Prompt service fast work. I'm used to going in waiting called in have injection go back to waiting room for ten mins before going back in for treatment. Today called in tooth out and leave in ten mins. Cant fault them. Will be using them my self.
