Staff were very welcoming and kind, booked a room with a king bed and a queen sofa bed, got one double bed and one double sofa. No linens or pillows for sofa bed, had to be requested, though staff were very prompt to bring them. Surprised extra blankets weren t supplied. Breakfast NOT included. Had higher expectations of what a delta hotel would be like... rather stay at a Hampton or Hilton inn (with a free breakfast)

Went for 3 days in a suite I arrived at 2am left the suite at 1pm. Came back at 10 pm and room wasn't cleaned. I asked them to clean the room and they started to rush me to leave the room. Wen I came back the room was haft clean. Really disappointed for a 186$ room .

Good food, friendly service, and clean facilities. Layout of the building makes finding the right parking a bit tricky. Did not stay in a room, only attended a dinner in the conference center.

As part of our family Christmas celebration, with everyone coming from different areas of Ontario, we decided to get together in a somewhat central point and Guelph was it. A look on Google Maps led our search to this Delta hotel for it's convenient access, as well as proximity to restaurants, etc..
Our room selections included two king suites and a one bedroom suite (three rooms in total). All the rooms were equally clean and well equipped. The hotel itself is of the all concrete construction type, making for a more quiet structure over less expensive wood framed.
Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, save for three little issues; The washroom facilities in our king suite was configured in such a way so that the vanity was in one space, with a separate room for the toilet and tub/shower. For a guy like me with a 6'-2" frame, I found the toilet very tight to the adjacent wall. The shower stall was of the one-piece configuration which makes for easy cleaning, but made it dark and a little claustrophobic. I appreciate the cleanliness side of the equation, but a pot light in the shower space might go a way to help brighten things up...?
One other issue was the fact that when I booked the rooms, I was told that if our kids (who were staying in the other two rooms) arrived at the hotel before us, they could check in to their rooms right away. That story changed upon their arrival, as they were both made to wait until I, the guy who's credit card the reservations were made under, was there to show the card. Despite my calling to talk to the manager, there was no way they could get in. Frustrating, as I mentioned to the manager, we paid in advance and in good faith for the very rooms that our kids couldn't use. Sorry, 'Policy' was the reply. Score one for the otherwise trusting customer...
Lastly, as this was a family celebration, we got the larger one bedroom suite so we could all be together for Christmas. Unfortunately, this proved to be an adjoining room. Unaware of that, we received a sudden knock on the door from no less than a security guy telling us to be quiet. Hmm. A call to the front desk informed me that they had received a complaint on the floor, which we assumed was from the adjoining room. I pointed out that we had no TV or music playing and that the only 'noise' was no more than understandingly elevated voices from a family - including two little granddaughters - enjoying the evening together. As well, it was well before the understood quiet time. Perhaps a less heavy handed call to the room to make us aware of the complaint would have been a lot more appropriate than sending up a security guard?? We are reasonable and respectful folks and felt somewhat belittled by the experience...
Four stars for the venue, but only two for those in charge of policy making and tact. I feel that both need review.

Lovely clean hotel. We were in a 2 queen bedroom. The beds are not comfortable. One of the beds dips and was extremely uncomfortable. My back killed me both nights. A good nights sleep is the best part of a hotel. They need to check their beds.

Going through renovations so I cant overly comment. Had some pizza from the upcoming restaurant though.. OMG SOO GOOD!! According to staff they are going to open a pizza restaurant so this will certainly be a good place to get your food!!

The front desk people are amazing however.. my room wifi isnt working, and I paid 18$ for one of the worst breakfast buffets I've ever had. The bar and grill is under construction i get that, but they never even gave me a menu or a spoon for my tea.. :/

Went here for a conference and the amenities were great. Everything was clean, accessible and in the case of our conference the parking was free which is nice. I suspect the conference organizers were also happy with the location. (note: didn't stay in a room as it was a one-day conference)

I came to the hotel with my 2 sons aged 8 and 9 as a little getaway. A pool is very important to us, so I always make sure the hotel has one prior to booking. The website says this hotel offers a pool; however, what they don t tell you is the pool is across the street at a health club (no issue there) but children under 13 are not permitted. I did not find this out until I attempted to take my boys swimming. I feel this should have been stipulated on the website, I felt mislead.

If you don t need or care about a pool for your children then this hotel is lovely.

The restaurant is recently renovated and very nice, especially the patio. The rooms are clean and seem modern or recently updated as well. Some of their conference areas could use an update, but the spaces themselves are good sized and pleasant enough. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

We were there for a work holiday function. The room was large and well maintained. The wait staff was quick to clean up empty glasses and plates. The bar staff was slow and drinks were pricey. The buffet was good.

Recommended by a friend, my husband and I have used this as a meeting place, and his company is now using this to house Business Colleagues from Europe. These colleagues used to stay at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto and travel to Cambridge where the offices are. We have since set up a Corporate account with Delta and all visitors now stay here. All have commented on that it was an easy transition from the Royal York, and the standard for them did not drop by coming here. They have also commented how much they like having access to Movati (Fitness) REALLY good call.

Didnt get to go to the rooms. Had lunch/brunch in the diner with dad's workers ( we usually do once a year) last Sunday, 3 families in total. We normally got the breakfast buffet but since this year was abit later, we got to order from the lunch menu as well. Food looked incredible and I regret not ordering more. However the winter salad I did order was fantastic and I really hope they can send me a recipe. Servers were welcoming and friendly as always and I enjoyed the event. Looking forward to next year!

I was only there visiting a friend, but I was really impressed with how nice the interior of the Delta looked. The room I was in was also above and beyond what I would expect from a hotel.

Location of the hotel is very poor to say the least, it's always noisy.

One side of the hotel is too close to the road. So you hear cars constantly driving by. The other side is conveniently located near a fire station. Must have been my lucky weekend since they kept going out sirens blazing constantly.

The ac/heater in the room is super noisy. It sounds like your sleeping in a furnace room.

The service is poor, they only have two people at the front desk. God forbid they book a wedding or convention. You won't get through to the front desk.

I requested my room to be cleaned, it wasn't! Because of the front desk phone fiasco, I had to hunt down a housekeeper to get fresh towels an toilet paper.

If you value your sleep, I suggest looking elsewhere!!

I will NEVER come back!

Went to a work party there. Service was good. Drinks were expensive. Only drank pop and it was $3.50 each. Most events don't charge for non-drinkers as a thank you for being a designated driver.

Hotel was nice, rooms were kept clean, hotel staff was friendly. The breakfast at times tasted a bit stale (even though I arrived when they started serving food). The AC units in the rooms were quite loud and sounded as though they needed maintenance. The hotel is in an excellent location to get to any event on Guelph university campus.

I only stayed for one night so I can't elaborate on all the services, but the experience was very good. I'm a lifetime Marriott Rewards Silver member and was upgraded to a better room. Unfortunately, the first room I was assigned was a bit odd with a musty smell. A quick trip down to the front desk resolved that issue quickly. I was assigned a much better room and the front desk staff called my new room to make sure it was to my satisfaction. No complaints about the furniture, bathroom, bed, etc. It was quiet and I was able to get a good night's sleep. I ate at the restaurant for both dinner and the breakfast buffet. They do have a nice craft beer selection at the bar. I will stay here for the next trip to Guelph.

Nice
