My wife and I have been attending for over a year. We love the services and we both have been attending bible studies. My daughter likes the high school program as it has engaged her in more in-depth discussions about the Bible and what it says.

Having attended large churches most my life I've come too look for 3 things that a large church must uphold. 1 strong biblical teaching. 2 a passion for worship more than just singing. 3 a desire to care for those outside the church. This church has satisfied those requirements for me and I believe it's why this church grows so much.

Mission Hills is my home church and my husband and I felt welcomed from the first time we entered their doors. The pastor and his wife are friendly, caring, and approachable. I always leave feeling like I have learned something, been challenged in my walk, or that I'm in good company. I love our kids program and how engaging the programs are for all ages! MH does an exceptional job of investing in the lives of children. There are a variety of adult Sunday School classes, as well.
I can't say enough about the friendly people and warm atmosphere. If you're looking for a church, I would encourage you to give Mission Hills a try.

I come here on Sundays and it's really enjoyable. Craig Smith is our new pastor, (Mike Romberger moved to California) and he has a good sense of humor, and he has this passion that makes me believe that God is good, and I know Jesus/God are real, and it's just a great place to announce your faith. If you are an Atheist, they have this group called Starting Point for people who doubt God exists, but let me assure you he does, and God is Almighty and all Powerful. It's really fun. And they have doughnuts too.

I have not been there, but wanted to refute the person that gave this church a one star for saying that we should respect Obama. Almost the all leaders and Kings in the biblend were ungodly... and that doesn't change how we are to treat them. We are to be submission to authority because it glorifys God!! GOD is the ultimate authority. As we submit to authority, on our jobs, to our husbands, to our leaders. Not that we follow them when they want us to do stuff that is ungodly. Examine Daniel and how he navigated thru that situation. Still honored the king while saying he would not worship him... the problem in America is that we refuse to let our "rights" be trampled on. We're not willing to suffer to be a light... to further the gospel. We don't have to agree with Obama to respect him, Cuz by honoring him we are honoring God.

Hi Sammie,

Hi Sammie,

I am truly sorry that you feel the way you do about Mission Hills Church. Permit me to provide a bit of elucidation. Initially, I did not understand the context of our Pastor's sermon about respecting authority; however, after hearing Mike speak, I fully understood. The foundational tenets of Mike's sermon were directly from the Bible. In Romans 13:1-5 it is written:

Respect for Authority

13 Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. 2 So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. 3 For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you. 4 The authorities are God s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong. 5 So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.

In essence, what the passage relates is that it is God's design, and "The authorities are God's servants, sent for your good" - even though it may be very difficult to understand the purpose of God's design. We must have faith, and I do hope that you will come back to our wonderful church community. I would love to discuss some of my thoughts with you, and listen to your thoughts and concerns.

God Bless,
Jim Savard

We love this church. We visited others in the area when we moved here almost 5 years ago, but felt right at home here. Pastor Craig is a truly gifted teacher and a genuinely caring person. Great kids programs and opportunities for adults to connect. Love the live FB feed for the times we can't make it due to illness. We're very grateful to have this church so close by!

We LOVE this church. Pastor Craig is transparent, authentic, real...not "preachy" but also very biblical. I LOVE the worship team(s) and the music here. I get very moved and love the balance of Contemporary music that is not overly "Rock and Roll" but has a soft element of that. My husband even chose to be baptized here (recovering Catholic)!

Amazing church, and incredible welcoming atmosphere. My kids love every minute of the Sunday School services and the music/worship and message are exceptionally well put together. Pastor Craig is incredibly entertaining and relatable while offering intelligent and practical guidance based on scripture.

Mission Hills is not a perfect church, but it is a God honoring church. I read the previous review, and while I disagree with a lot that Pastor Romberger said in the sermon the poster referenced, the review is not an honest characterization of Mission Hills, or of Pastor Romberger's sermons in general. Pastor Romberger uses an expository preaching style, passage by passage through the bible. He does not skip over sections that many would rather avoid to not offend different factions of their congregation. The sermon referenced was on 1 Peter 2:13-25, and addresses submission to authorities. Politics in general, and left leaning politics specifically are not preached from the pulpit.

I'm looking for a new church and these comments are very discouraging and to see people trying to preach the bible. Everyone's interpretation of this amazing book is different let people be and allow for all forms of Interpertation. Not everyone looks at the world the same. Love all religion and politics. Be strong about what you believe in.

I am a disabled senior, and an ordained minister (38 years in ministry) so I am due double honor. I contacted these people for a lift to church, and it took them over 2 weeks to email me and say "We don't have any organized ride sharing". They have organized bank accounts with millions of dollars though...."Inasmuch as you did it not to the least of these..."
