Best Western Federal Way/ Tacoma Dome Review

Very nice hotel. Only staying one night on our way to Seattle. Very comfortable and good value for the area.

I love staying here when going to see something at the Tacoma Dome. No worries about traffic after the show, just walk over to your room! Staff is great - friendly and very hard working.

Anywhere but here... Mold, freezing and gross breakfast. Stay away! I talked to the staff and they said they could not do anything.

A small group of us recently stayed here. It s a very average hotel. Rooms and lobby area are very outdated. The breakfast was very average as was the restaurant food. The hotel is also away from the downtown area. Not recommended if you want something more dynamic. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Didn't stay there, visited a friend and it was ok , nothing going on everything is still closed. No free breakfast and the restaurant is closed nothing to do or see.

Great location, clean and comfortable rooms. We always stay here when we are in town to see a concert.

Nice moderate hotel with great breakfast included. If going to Tacoma Dome or La May Car Museum only hotel you can easily walk from. Free garage parking under hotel with stay.

We came into town to watch the eclipse and do a little site seeing between Portland and Seattle. We booked this hotel for one night to save on money before we got into Seattle. We booked a regular room with a king size bed. When we checked in, we were given a free upgrade to a suite because they had overbooked our room by mistake. The room was spacious. There was a dinner table, couch, and coffee table in addition to the couches/living room set. The extra space was nice but not necessary since we would only be there to sleep for a few hours before we took off in the morning. The tv didn't have many channels, but again, it didn't matter to us. Breakfast was free and probably the best we've had during our hotel tour. You could make your own waffles and they make fresh omelettes. There is a good selection of pastries. My favorite was the French toast. They provide sugar free syrup as well, which is appreciated. I wish there were a wider selection of fruits but I think I may be a little picky. Everything they provided was great. They also had biscuits and gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs and cheese, oatmeal and yogurt with a variety of mix in options. We didn't get to stay long but driving around, we could tell the neighborhood was a little sketchy but that's not their fault. You might want to keep that in mind, though. Its super close to the Tacoma Dome. The staff was friendly. The room we stayed in looked a little dated but apparently they are in the middle of remodeling.

This is the best Best Western I've visited. The bed was comfortable, the HVAC worked as it should, and the breakfast rivals most full service restaurants.
The check in went smoothly and the personnel were courteous and friendly.
I recommend this place without reservation and will stay there the next time I'm in town.

Very nice hotel and definitely the place to stay if you're going to a concert at the Tacoma Dome. Just a short walk from the hotel to the Tacoma Dome. Very friendly service and the food in the restaurant was very good. Two thumbs up!

Best Western Tacoma Dome is always a pleasant stay for us.

A great stay with the Best Western, as always. This hotel is conveniently located next time the Tacoma Dome and public transit (which I believe leads to the airport). It's also pet friendly and the Seasons restaurant is pretty good with a great staff!

Room was very nice. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Was very impressed with the selection for breakfast. I will definitely be staying here again.

I spent little time here during my stay and most everything was standard and adequate. Oddly there is no cold water in the room; the sink ranges from warm to blistering. Nothing else positive or negative of note.

Went here for a Mary kay event. The room was nice, the staff was great, and the food was amazing.

Booked my room in early November and they didnt have the room I reserved it really sucked. We were severely dissatisfied with the service. We tried to check in early and they wouldnt let us saying the room wasnt ready only to find out that they didnt have the room we reserved.

I had accidentally made a reservation for the wrong night, but a lady at the front desk (I think her name was Krystal?) was just the sweetest and fixed everything for me with a smile. Great service!!!

Room was clean and well prepped. The staff was really friendly. I left a coat there and they went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of and got my coat with my keys back. Will for sure be staying there again

Disappointed stayed one night 12/9 was supposed to have a queen bed it was a full at best uncomfortable, run down nothing like pictures! Restaurant was terrible had to ask for napkins and silverware after we received our terrible over priced food, to busy to give us water as well! For my stay I was charged 3x the amount I agreed too and on my receipt still waiting on refund and still waiting on manager call, this even after I was assured when checking out that my $70 deposit would be released not only was it not released but charged 3x the rate so not ok they have ability to access my account more then agreed and I have to wait for my own money due to their error!! Save yourself the hassle and headaches of staying here!! I could say more about the terrible experience but this start should give you the idea of not wasting your time at this place.

Location right next to Tacoma Dome was perfect. The breakfast was awesome and the dinner menu had great choices.

It was a very comfortable stay but lame to be turned away for not having a bank card to support my funds I prefer using prepaid

I am not sure about all the negative comments here. I am one of the most picky travelled. For the money this is a great place. Very friendly staff, great rooms, good location. We were a family of 4 and it was perfect. The breakfast is a grand affair with an omelet station.
I don't give out 5 stars but I do for this place.

It was convenient location to venue/Dome, but the hotel AC was not working properly and all the ice machines were broken. Will not return.

I travel a lot for work. I generally stay at Best Western Plus hotels. They are usually descent quality with friendly people. Last year I had 90 days spent in Best Westerns. I called this place 3 times trying to book a room. One time they answered then said immediately I needed to hold, whereupon they hung up on me. I called back another time and had the same immediate hold, after 5 minutes of silence I hung up. I tried one more time and before they put me on hold I told them I just needed to book a room. I was rudely told to call back in 20 or 30 minutes because they had a bunch of people in front of them. I understand being busy and PROPERLY setting customer expectations. None of that was done. I then asked for the manager and was told they don't have one. I asked for the owner or GM and was transferred to a phone with a full voicemail... What a crock of B.S! There is another Best Western NOT a plus but has terrific people that work there and rooms that have just been remodeled. It is in Lakewood, WA. Drive the extra 10 minutes and skip this place!

There isn't near enough parking for the amount of hotel rooms they have. They said A was full, so park in B.... there are literally 20 spots tops in each of the 2 garages they have. Had to pay $20 event parking to even park my car.
Other than that, everything was fine. Very irritating when you can't even park at the hotel you are already paying for and staying in.

After being excited over an opportunity to be in a jetted tub in room after driving for 8 hours from Idaho .. I was devastated and ended up sleeping in my car

The room was very nice. The beds could have been a little bigger but not bad considering the room size. Had a great wireless internet signal. Service was a little slow but the hotel was booked solid. The convenience being located next to the Tacoma Dome is excellent.

My door did not lock and I was told there were no other rooms available and there was no parking available for my truck.

Very clean. Great breakfast buffet. However, the showers are barely above luke warm.

Was at a professional event, parking was difficult but the place was clean and the service was great. Had a buffet dinner that was not very good. Suggest if buffet available order off the menu, it's much better.

Beds comfortable the staff is pleasant , the designed rooms could be better for the price.

Booked a Jacuzzi room in November 2017 for our stay in January 2018. They gave our jacuzzi room to someone else. Even after we tried to sign in before normal sign in time on our scheduled date. Huge disappointment. We had obviously been looking forward to this, and booked so far in advance its just B.S. they gave the room to someone else. We booked straight through the hotel. Not a 3rd party.

Clean room with basic amenities, microwave, coffee maker and mini-fridge. Conveniently located a couple blocks from the transit center. Lack of bathroom counter was highly inconvenient. No ice on fifth floor.

Horrible. I had been driving for 18 hours straight because of a family emergency and had my room already reserved. After arriving, I went to my room. The key I was given for the room worked so I opened the door only to find the door had the chain lock on it. An old woman came to the door and said in broken English she was already in there and to go get another room. I was in shock!!!! I went back down with all my luggage to the check in. This old woman had already called down to tell them I had tried to get in her room, keep in mind the key I was given was for that room and it did work for that room. The people at the desk said sorry, we'll give you another room. I asked why they gave me the key to that room to begin with if it was occupied? They said they did not know because the owner of the hotel just takes any room they want without notifing anyone. The did give me another room on a different floor. They did say they were sorry. My stay was horrible. Not only all of this but the food was horrible. Do not stay at this hotel if you do not want to be taken advantage of and you don't want to have your assigned room taken and used at random by the owners.

Super sketch hotel, elevator takes forever. Was working at the taxoma dome hotel so it was nice to relax back in. A room between shows.

Clean and comfortable room. Good service at the front desk. Free breakfast beat my expectations.

Decent hotel for the price. In the shower the water temperatures were reversed, but thats no big deal.

0 stars. First time I've ever rated somebody a big fat goose egg. THE ABSOLUTE WORST customer service I've ever received. They messed up my reservation. None of the staff was on the same page or able to fix their mistake. When I finally spoke to the manager he said, "sorry you don't know how to make a reservation." I don't know him or the other front desk employees still have jobs. If their skill level is any indicator of the kitchen crew's skill level, I'd rather starve. Do yourself a favor and hit up La Quinta. Worth the few extra bucks for sure.

First, when I arrive this best western the elevator is so slow, i waited for 10min. second of all, This place is no air conditioning right now. FD person said open the window.
This is a joke. I don't know what to do. Why I paid for this condition!!!

Yesterday drove to Tacoma to see Elton John concert. Walked into the lobby to find 76 people in line waiting to check in. It took 1hr 15 min to check in. Had to cancel dinner reservations at a nice restaurant we were planning on going to before the show. Manager came out and said we'd get 1000 pts and drinks in the bar would be discounted. Downside to that was there were many people in the bar and service was slow at best. Understaffed all around. They had a similar experience the night before staff told us as EJ played there the night before. Paid $300 for one night. Piss poor management. Never again...

There were 30 of us in as many rooms. The AC wasn't working and having the windows open wasn't an option as muggy outside. No cold water in the rooms... The rooms were clean and morning breakfast was standard fair.

Forgot to post....parking garage doors were left open full time, and elevator card reader was broke in parking garage so anyone off the streets can go into hotel and go into the parking garage.

Excellent hotel for the price. Offers hard to find value for your business travels.

Sheets and pillows are terrible, car would have been more comfortable. I rarely take the time to rate, but if I can save just 1 visit this post was worthwhile.

Great place to stay. Especially if attending an event at the dome. Clean room, nice decor, great hot full breakfast and free parking and free WiFi.

Unfortunately, worst Best Western stay ever. Made reservation for handicap shower. They just had standard room. Stood in line for almost an hour for check in. While they upgraded to a suite, there was no cold water in the sinks. Shower was almost opposite. Took forever to get lukewarm water. Never want to see this place again!

No pool so thats not the vest on a hot day. The breakfasts are great! The neighborhood is sketchy, but it is very close to lots of venues, museums, shops etc . The staff are really helpful they give very good service. The service definitely adds to the hotel. The hotel is a little dated though they do seem to be trying to update it.

Room was outdated, blood stain on pillow case, mildew in the shower, water damage on the ceiling. Staff was nice and breakfast was great. Hotel was very quiet.

Hotel needs an overhaul - low water pressure, toilets don't flush very well, lumpy pillows. Very rude front desk person, Victoria Castaneda.

The hotel and value and great, and they have a good free breakfast, and it seems like a safe area. But upon my last stay, there was someone already occupying my room. They did give me another room, but after some hassle. And the second room was nice. But I felt unsafe through the night, as someone else may have been assigned to my room as well. I would probably not stay there again.

Standard hotel. Comfy beds, quiet at night. Lots of TV channels to choose from, and the wifi is actually decent and up to speed. Breakfast is served and it is luxurious and has the option to request a custom made omelette delivered to your table. Only complaint is the elevators are very slow and you can wait for 3 to 5 minutes after calling the elevator.

amazing breakfast and relatively quiet hotel. only problem was finding parking on saturday night when tacoma dome had an event.

Served purpose ... older hotel with lingering smells and lots of dustiness, low water pressure for shower .... otherwise what is expected from a high quality major brand hotel ... I will return as last resort before I go to the off brand motels
