I thought this dealership was great until I found how horrible the service department is. It s a shame because the sales side was great. I moved to SC from Ohio one month ago and my car died before I left so I had to buy a car as soon as I got down here. I m a 19 year old that has to support themself and decided to buy a 2016 Scion iA from them. Within a week I heard a strange noise when I turned the steering wheel. I brought the car in and they assessed that the car they sold one week previously needed new strut mounts. They tell me to bring the car back the next day so I drive from Asheville to Greer the next day. I pull in and they tell me they don t have the parts and they can get them the next morning. They brought me home since I can buy a car off them but apparently can t rent one. I use a family member lease to get to work. The next day nobody called so I called them and he told me the part didn t come in yet and then said we are doing our best and we are even getting it done free for you.... OF COURSE YOU ARE I JUST BOUGHT IT. The next day I picked it up and the noise is gone. One week later and it has come back. I ve tried to schedule a time to come in and they won t get back to me in order to figure out the problem. Also I noticed a light over my license plate bracket is burned out. I m wondering if they even put it through their service dept before selling it. Still haven t heard from them and they sure will never be getting my business. Steve and Roger are two people to avoid for sure. I feel that I have been heavily taken advantage of. They sure are quick to take your money though!

My sales rep Kelby was great I could use a person like him at my store. He took in consideration that I didn't have a lot of time to look at a lot of vehicles and showed me exactly what I needed. I told him I had 2 little ones in car seats and had another baby due at the end of August and that my journey wasn't going to do the job for me. He showed me the Pacifica, gave me the keys to test drive it while he got my journey appraised. I loved the Pacifica looks and safety features and was sold on it!! I told Kelby I needed to hurry up and go so I didn't have time to go back and forth negotiating, I asked him to just get me the best deal and call me with it later. He called me with the numbers and I said great I will buy it, the only problem I had was I just didn't know when I could get back to the dealership to pick it up! Kelby asked me if it would be better for him to deliver the car to me the following day at my house? I told him that would be easier for me and we set it up for the next day. I found out afterwards that it was his day off and I was really impressed with him doing that for me. He took the time to show me about all the features it had and made sure that I knew how to work everything. This is my sixth vehicle that I have bought from Benson's and everytime Has been great but this time Kelby my sales rep went above and beyond my expectations!! I live about 1 hour away, had been searching for the perfect vehicle for approx 2 months. Finally found it here! Steve from used cars helped me over the phone to evaluate the trade in value of my car and get me the numbers I wished for in almost no time at all. I went to the dealership the next morning and the whole process took less than 1.5 hrs, from driving the car, getting tags transferred, papers signed, and driving off in my new (used) car, this is unheard of! I have purchased a lot of vehicles, but this was by far the BEST car buying experience I've ever been through. They even gave me coffee and cupcakes! A lot of the staff came through to say hi and thank me for my business. Everyone was very professional and polite. I will be going back to this dealership again one day. Thank you all for your help. I have been in the market for a Jeep Grand Cherokee for several weeks and tried Big O in Greenville without any success. Probably the most unprofessional, non-customer service friendly manager and salesman I have ever seen in my life. Complete ignorance by both of them in regards to clarity of information when it came to obtaining my loan from my credit union. Way too many details and disappointments to explain here, but the take away is to NEVER......NEVERRRRRR buy a car from this dealership, specifically Joe the manager in used cars and Fred the salesman. If there was an option for a negative amount of stars to rate this dealership, there wouldn't be enough for me to click on. I will never darken the doors of Benson in Greer again, and I hope you will heed my warning and do the same.

Found Benson Dodge in South Carolina online and I drove 3 hours one way from Canton, Ga to get my dream car. My salesman, RJ, was straight up and straight forward from the beginning. There was no surprises or any typical dealership antics. We basically set up the whole deal over the phone before I made my trip there to get the car and everything was exactly as he said it was going to be.
