In the past, purchasing a new vehicle felt more like a dreadful task that just had to get done and the experience never turned out very well. Even worse, if financing at the dealership. Thankfully my perception of the car buying experience would be changed entirely at the Benson Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep dealership in Greer, SC, by meeting Steve Addington in Sales and Eddie Weeks, the Finance Manager.
The moment I arrived meeting with Steve Addington, I knew I d be buying a new Jeep only at his dealership. Steve was never pushy, he listened to what my needs and wants were for my next vehicle, explained my options clearly, never wavering from his word. He was fair and honest, entirely changing my perception of purchasing and financing a new vehicle. To top off his level of professionalism and customer service, he knew my time would be limited and had everything prepared for me in advance. My experience with the Finance Manager, Eddie Weeks was informative, yet very simple. No hard sale or pushy sales tactics at the very end trying to add in this or that - it was exactly what my sales person had told me it would be.

I bought a car from them back in May...my sales rep was good but now I see it as "getting me into a car". I told him I needed a car because I was moving and the commute from my new home to work would put me at 500 miles a week. He got me in an Avenger. I love the car but two weeks later I took it back for an alignment and a few other things....when I picked it up, they said they didn't find anything wrong. A few months later the car began to shake once high speed was reached (70mph) and upon stopping....the car needed brakes and roters!!!! A mechanic even said the car was damaged when I bought it!!!! Called them and of course nothing is covered in the warranty:/ since having the car, I have dished out so much money to fix it and it still shakes uncontrollably!!!!!! Please do your homework....I chose them because there are so many Benson cars in the upstate so I thought my experience would be great....but I regret purchasing this car....can't wait to trade it....

Staff is friendly but terrible experience with service. Brought my truck in cause it was having transmission issues, was later told it was my fan clutch, I explained to the service Rep that was assigned my truck, his name is Steve. I explained there is no way a fan clutch can cause transmission issues and explained also if my fan clutch was bad my truck would overheat. I have drove over 750+ miles in 1 day and never had any overheat problems. Steve didn t wanna listen to anything I had to say. Very rude and felt ripped off. Will not be returning to this location!

As for there Collision Center... Chip called me 5 weeks after a repair had been completed and tried to scam more money from me stating there was something he forgot to bill me for. I told him to send me pictures of/relating to the additional cost, he said he didn't have any, and that I'd have to take his word for it. I wouldn't trust there collision repair center, there a batch of criminals !!!

He contacted me first thing in the morning, brought the car to my job for me to see and test drive and worked out the deal while I stayed at work. Went in for an oil change on my 2018 Durango after calling to make an appointment and they said just to come in. I was told that it wouldn't be long but there were a few other cars in front of me. It took almost 3 hours and I had to sit there with my 2 year old the entire time. I even texted the number back that they sent out saying "if you need anything reply to this message" but I never got a response as to how much more time it would be. They also said a loner car isn't available that I would have to pay $35 for a rental when other dealerships I have dealt with loan out vehicles for service at no cost.
Worst dealership , ever will waste your time . Management is a joke.

What a wonderful surprise and even better car buying experience. My hisband and I were out running a few errands and stopped by Benson Jeep to take a closer look at the new Jeep Wrangler 4 door (we were driving our 2013 Jeep 2dr Wrangler). I live in Florida and this dealership had a version of the 2020 AWD Pacifica we had been looking at. Communication was great from the start with Cassie through online/text/email. She took pictures of the vehicle and texted me throughout the work day. She worked out a fair price and all the details without ever having to come into the dealership. We decided to drive the 6 hours to purchase from them with faith in their reputation.
It worked out great! Will, our sales guide once we got there, was a Pacifica owner himself and knew everything about the vehicle which was incredible from our other dealership test drives. Besides being an incredibly nice guy, he was very professional and had all the paperwork ready for us to sign and get back on the road home. No surprises.
The finance guy didn't waste our time and was very informative and sold us only what we wanted/needed. In addition, I didn't want to drive my car back home so I could ride in the new van, so they bought my Subaru from me at a price I was comfortable with and made that process extremely easy and quick.
They took care of a ton of paperwork and submitted our registration to our local DMV. Also, Will answered many of our questions over the next week by phone once we had a chance to get to know the vehicle. Exceptional experience overall and no complaints. We are extremely happy with our purchase and all decisions. We really appreciated all the help to make it happen. Definitely worth driving past all the other dealerships to work with this business!
