It's worth the drive from chicago or anywhere in the midwest.
Top rate national acts and high class service ..
Restaurants are A#1 and the casino is awesome..

Smoker's Paradise! This hotel is beautiful but it stinks, literally, it smells like smoke everywhere. We were on a "non-smoking" floor and could not even sleep due to the overwhelming smell of smoke. The casino is a huge smoker's meeting area and the non-smoking casino/poker area is a joke. To get to the non-smoking area, you must walk through the entire smoky casino.

I am shocked that so much money is put into this beautiful structure with beautiful views and a beautiful golf course, but it is completely ruined by smoke. We will never consider Belterra for anything, ever again.

We both came home with sore throats after just a weekend stay in this smoke infested hotel. Even if you smoke it will be awful. Cancel your reservations and stay away from here forever.

Totally Disgusting.

We always have a great time here. 19 Steak and Seafood has excellent steaks and there is a bean soup that is one of my favorites. This time, I opted for this strangely delicious green apple salad and a special vegetarian dish that the chef made up.

The spa is AWESOME. My wife and I have had couples massages everywhere but the consistency here is the best.

The standard rooms are very high quality and surpass most hotel rooms I've stayed in. The upgrade rooms (with the large bathrooms and jacuzzi tubs) are amazing. Room service breakfast is one of our favorite parts of the trip.

The casino is a bit dated, but is fun. Highly recommended for a quick one or two night getaway.

If I could give no stars I would. My husband and I have been going to the casino for years and have added up a few free night stays. Called tonight to make a reservation to use one of our stays and was told it was booked. They only allow a few comp rooms a night... So the hundreds of dollars we have spent we now won't be able to use . We won't be returning and will be spending our money elsewhere

Staff not helpful and the casino was a joke. Your property has nice accommodations but everything over priced and the casino was very bad , no pay outs. I am very disappointed with the casino especially. You can t win. I had trouble using my card and couldn t get it resolved. I won t go back again. Harahs is a lot better. This casino preys on the old and greedy.

Not impressed with hotel staff or rooms first time we stayed the non-smoking room was so smokey I thought I would get cancer from the pillow then last night there was no air to find the filter so full I thought an animal was stuck on it and the front desk staff could care less...seems like a problem to me but no one cares

The hotel and casino were beautiful. However, I had my 94 year old mother with me and she needed to use a wheelchair. All of the wheelchairs have no foot rests. My mom had to literally lift her legs up in order for me to push her. It was a real strain on her. I was wondering why that is?
Please let me know if you have another solution.

Would of given it five stars but several of the quarter slots were out of service! I do not go regularly enough to know if this is normal. The buffet is delicious and offers a large selection. Rooms are comfortable.

I was every disappointment. All the people were saying that the machines were too tight. Then when I tried them and agreed. I have been to the Grand. Anderson casino and many others in the area. You are disappointment to what I emnotment. Of the passed.

The casino is located right next to the Ohio River...

The casino is located right next to the Ohio River and provides for some nice views. The food we were served at various meals was all better than I expected it to be. The beer served was unfortunately all domestics. The actual casino is very small for anyone used to a las Vegas casino. The rooms were fine but some people complained about their rooms smelling since they were on the "smoker" floor.

Family group of 7 took my nephew to eat at the buffet for his birthday on 1/10/2020. This has been a tradition in my family for about 15 years for numerous family members birthdays. As many as 16 people have attended these birthday dinners. Last night was a huge disappointment as far as food quality is concerned. Crablegs were very soft and watery. Very old tasting and very tough to break open. The shrimp not fresh. Had to be a few days old. Very soft and spongy. Lastly, the prime rib was very over cooked and tuff. This buffet has really went down hill in the last few years. For about $40 per person, food quality should be a lot better.

It's been like 10 years between my last visit in t...

It's been like 10 years between my last visit in this visit. I was not as thrilled. All the new machines just takes all the thrill out playing the slots. The atmosphere wasn't the same either. Maybe I just have outgrow casinos and gambling, because it's just not bringing the same thrill it did when I pull the handle and coins come out of the machine. But on a good note it is one of the best casinos out of the ones that I have been to. So if you love The gamble then Belterra is the one to go to.

Rooms and service is good . Front desk staff is really friendly I like their slots as well as blackjack table . Stadium restaurant and bar has good food . I am a fan of their margarita pizza. Buffet is good too however, if you are a vegetarian watch out for chicken broth in soups and ham & beef in a lot of options.

Booked 2 connecting rooms and upon check in The hotel informed us that they were unable to honor this request. It wouldn t be such a huge deal except for the fact that this kept our family separated And they could have honor this request. Why they wouldn t still remains a mystery. After numerous visits to the check-in counter they finally concluded the reason was they were only at 50% capacity. This again makes no sense since our rooms were next to each other they just want the two that we connect and they simply moved one of our families to another room that connected the problem would ve been resolved which shouldn t of been a problem since the rooms adjacent to us were an occupied!

After trying to resolve the situation amicably we decided that we would simply check out two days early which meant we still stayed two days but the hotel refused to refund us our money!

Again our big problem was just the hotels lack of effort to work with us. We asked the person at the check-in counter to speak with a manager they refused and said they go back in the back room to talk with them and went in and out of that back room several times Claim and they were having conversations with a manager but the manager refused to come out and speak with us directly. This is not good customer service.

We even offered to pay the extra cost to move into a suite but we were told they could not charge us to a better room situation. What??? Is my response why would you not let us move and do a larger suite at a higher rate Again no explanation but they did go back and speak to the mysterious manager in the back room.

We paid for non-smoking rooms but the room stunk just like their service!

OK so I need to update my review. After being unable to resolve her situation with the hotel we opted to just leave two days before check up time. When we went to the counter to let them know we re leaving we were met with a totally different person and entirely different attitude. A young woman by the name of Dorthea was very helpful and got a manager for us. The manager, Amanda, was very gracious and helpful. She apologized for the inconvenience and miscommunication. Amanda I m sure she would get us a refund for the two days we won t be staying here. We left completely satisfied and truly appreciate the experience we had today!

Steak on the buffet was terrible. I was waiting for my steak to be cooked, and I noticed the following :

Employee, tall and spender with light colored facial hear taking orders, he was kind but completely ignorant. He subjected 10 clients that were standing there to get sick. How many others while I wasn't there ??

He would take an order, grab a raw and bloody steak while wearing gloves and place it on the grill. Then he would take a clean plate, with the same raw and bloody residue gloves, and place the cooked stake in a plate. With his bloody gloves planted all over it. When he handed me my plate, there was bloody hand prints and blood on the plate from his gloves all over.

I come here to get steak but left disappointed.

Will I come next Saturday, only if the problem has been fixed. I await management's response or I will have a formal complaint to health department first thing on Monday. Other people noticed it too after I pointed it out to them, they did not seem to he thrilled either.

In my accessible room there was no seat I the shower, so no way to use it if you can't stand on your feet. The hotel should add a wall mounted seat or have a plastic shower chair available. Otherwise a great place.

Had a pretty good time at this casino, I even left in the positive. There were unlimited free soft drinks. Go in expecting to spend money for entertainment. Don't go gambling your morgage away and you'll surely have alot of fun.

My friend and I are on a final trip as I near the end of life. Belterra treated us like royalty! They were kind, and thoughtful for any need we had. We were treated to a free buffet too!!! The place was so beautiful!! Just had an awesome time!!! Thank you all at Belterra!!!

Myself and my extended (in-laws) family were guest...

Myself and my extended (in-laws) family were guests in this hotel on Friday evening after the 4th of July. Check-in was okay and we were given a standard wheelchair around 2pm and put on the list for a motorized chair so that my MIL could partake in the Casino and the rest of the resort. Around 7pm we reported back to the Bell desk with the following issues: The wheelchair had NO RUBBER on the back 2 wheels which caused the chair to stop abruptly when transitioning between flooring types. It stopped so violently once that my MIL fell forward, almost onto the hard floor and stubbed her toe (which is now purple). After several issues like this, we were returning the chair back to the bell desk when it stopped again and my SIL ran into the wheel, cutting her knee in 2 places. When we asked for a different chair, or a power chair, it was reported that there were no other wheelchairs and the power chairs were still all rented out (5 hours later). They called "security" to see if someone over there could replace the rubber on the chair & were told "that wasn't their jobs." Then another bell hop proceeded to let us know that he attempted to repair the chair earlier yesterday but the rubber just kept coming off. To which I asked "Why wasn't the chair taken out of commission and/or replaced with a functional chair?" No one could answer. Instead, they got a manager, Jeremy, who kindly offered to comp one of our meals but didn't offer us any information on how to do so. Then, they couldn't offer a solution on how to get my MIL back up to her room on the 5th floor. So, we took her in the faulty chair, which took us around 30 minutes. The next morning, we went back to the bell desk to rent a scooter, because our names had been on the list since 2pm the previous day...and we were told that "Titanium and Onyx Members" had first preference (we understood that) and that the last one had been taken already by someone first on this day. There were no other standard chairs for us to use. We walked around towards the Casino & saw approximately 5 house-scooters sitting around in random locations. My in-laws left, but we stayed to visit the casino for a while longer. About 2 hours later, all of the in-house scooters were still sitting in the same places the were when we went into the casino. In addition to the chair that almost landed my MIL face-first on the floor of the casino, the young men working the bell desk were rude, mumbling amongst each other and laughing while we were standing there trying to get another chair. This was the worst customer service I'd ever witnessed at a supposedly 5-star establishment. I suggest choosing another casino in the Florence area if you have mobility challenges because theses folks could care less about your business or patronage.
