Belterra Casino Resort & Spa Review

It's not Vegas but still it is a nice Riverboat Casino.

I was treated well. Accommodations were non smoking but the entire floor still smells like cigarettes covered in air fresheners. Great place to stay if you're an old white person who Gamble's and watches football

We always had a good experience at Belterra. We've been coming here for years and we know many of the staff by name.
Recently however it changed hands. Boyd Gaming bought it from Pinnacle Entertainment.
The transition to Boyd however was a disappointing failure.
The Belterra is out in the middle of corn country and there is nothing to do but gamble. They closed the Casino and most of the restaurants and shops. A couple of them were open to cash only and the golf course was closed for aeration!
They originally planned on being open at 6pm on the 15th of Oct. We were even a little bit excited.
Then they told us 8pm. Then they told us it would be 8am.
We couldn't stay so we only got to play the slots for a few minutes before we had to leave. There were busses full of people who didn't get to play at all. One was from Canada! Think they'll be back?
Easily the most disappointing stay we've had.
I can't believe they didn't close the entire facility to get this transition completed.

Staff friendly great place for a weekend get a way.

The smoking in the casino is terrible. I had to go back to the room because my eyes were burning. The room wasn t much better. We were on a non smoking floor and that s all you could smell. Also their was a bunch of trash behind the nightstand.

Went for an overnight stay and we got there kind of late, but was hoping for some poker and they don't have cash tables such as 1-2 no limit or limit games. Very small poker room. Learned how to play craps more in depth and that was fun. The hotel room was nice, but the sheets did have a black mark on the sheets that I feel they should have noticed when making the bed. Overall good experience though.

Stayed the night with my husband recently. We booked the luxury king room and the room was wonderful. It was very big a spacious and plenty of room to lounge around or walk around. Everything was clean and accommodating, the bathroom was clean and the shower was very nice. Our only complaint was that despite the bed being very comfortable the pillows were not comfortable at all. The pillows are very firm and not very plush. You just feel like your head is up way too high when laying down and it hurts your neck. Other than that it was pretty quiet and the views of the fog rolling in that morning were lovely.

Also just as a note, there is very poor cell phone reception here. We literally had no service most of the time staying here.

Never won a thing. The slots I came to play were all down. However my sister had a great time. Would come more often but that casino just don't like me. Lol will try to come more often after my Biloxi trip last of May. Furnished by MGM. Had fun anyway.

The rooms were free from being a rewards member. It is probably the nicest hotel I have been in but the location is in the middle of no where. There is no cell phone service (the hotel does have wifi) and the next decent town is 30 minutes away. If going for a casino, this is great, but if you are looking for a hotel, go to Cincinnati.

This was a wonderful casino. Rooms were very nice , food was excellent and the casino was fun. I actually won $220 .first time I ever won any significant amount in a casino. This place leave good memories. I cant wait to go again.

Most expensive buffet ever, 98% smoking awful, bathrooms weren't clean.

Nice place but plan on loosing money if you play the slots, machines are tight bet 4 bucks win 5 cents theres a serious problem I go quite often but I won't be going back to this casino for a very long while.#MiamiValleyRisingStar##

This was a nice hotel, however the casino is all smoking, and to get to the non-smoking area you have to walk through the smoking area. This mot good for people with breathing problems

First time here got $10 in freeplay and did not even win a penny I take that as a sign as not a good Casino very nice environment will not be back yes for that little reason which to me is most important

Came up there two Fridays in a row and was not able to play the slots. Did not receive a notification for the casino being closed on March 2nd

Inexpensive rooms, good service, decent food, and nice location. Minus one star due to an odd noise in the ceiling, likely the vents. When I let the front desk know about it they sent someone up and they started banging on the wall in the maintenance room next door. Not sure if they were trying to fix it or taking out their aggression but the noise persisted.

They offered another room and I decided the noise was less annoying than moving rooms after I was already in bed. They let me sleep in past checkout time though so that made up for it.

A million times better than Hollywood Casino. Two thumbs up!!!!

Once again a nice stay at Belterra. Room was great. Food was great. Very friendly staff.

Went to get away for a couple of days. The rooms, staff & food are great. Always so clean . Will return many more times.

I love this place ! I've spent nearly a million dollar's just at this casino ! Yes I got majorly hooked on just one slot game.
I won big a few times.
The hardest thing to do. Is know when to walk away.
Yes I lost alot of money.
And won alot of money..
But win or loose. It was all about having fun and a good time. I could always hold my head high. Even leaving dead broke.
Key rules first. Always make sure your bills are payed before you go.
Always make sure your car has a full tank of gas when you leave. So you'll have enough gas to make it back home. Take food & snacks with you. So you can save $$$
Know your spending limits.
And try to stick to them.
Always remember it's not all about winning. Or getting rich.
Its all about having a good time. Ty, and all the luck to you.

Friday night is crab night all you can eat buffet, it's $40 a person,the service is good the crab legs are good and sweet. Decent variety on the buffet.

Atm's were down and cage attendant's were extremely slow. People sitting (not playing)at front entrance games and wouldn't get up.

Great stay. Breakfast buffet very good. Only casino in Indiana I enjoy going back to.

Beautiful building and clean room! But you will smell smoke everywhere even in the non-smoking room. Casino is good but we had no luck. Non-smoking area inside the casino is too small, it s like 95% of the casino is smoking and 5% is non-smoking. If you are smoker then this place is for you. Not recommended for the non-smoker like me. I also had to wait literally 6-7 minutes for the hot water to come out of the facuet. After talking to the receptionist she said sorry we had no power for 3 hours, not sure what is that had to do with the hot water come out of the faucet but ok if you say so.

It is nice. Only a few places to eat. But the stadium is one of our favorites. Staff is nice. Rooms are beautiful. Huge bathroom, nice pillows and beds. Would come here again.

Things have gone downhill drastically since the new owner. The buffet is not worth it. The employees were standing around talking and the fruit sald bowl was completely empty. When we asked for fruit, they pointed to CANNED PINEAPPLE and still did not replenish the fruit salad. Belterra used to be my favorite casino but not anymore. Very disappointed.

Went to the sports bar in the Resort. It was a great atmosphere and there were tons of TVs!

Neat architecture, formal meeting rooms and nice hotel rooms.

The Buffett was amazing. Definitely recommend that on your stop here

We stopped at Belterra to get something to eat. The food is wonderful. But, if you're going to play slots, it's not very lucrative!

Awesome place to see a concert, win some money and have dinner at The Stadium.

Tried to get price for a room on August 23 couldn't understand women on phone after 10 minutes hung up

This place isn't non smoker frendly. It smells of smoke everywhere even in the small non smoking area. I dont know if all casinos all are the same this is the only time I have ever been to one. Other than the smoke it looked nice. I didn't stay long, I only lost $4.

I do not go there that much. Which is a good thing. Lol.

10+ Bad reviews in the past six months convinces me to take my money elsewhere.... They're obviously not doing anything to improve even after the management reads and responds to these reviewers.... That's too bad for them. So, thank you too all you reviewers!!! You've saved me a two hour trip!!!!

Saw Shawn Klushs' show...very cramped but a good time.

Went to the buffet that cost 100 for 2 people and a child for Steak and shrimp night. It was around 7 . They still had a few hours before they closed and after paying and sat down was informed they had run out of steak. Had the rest of the food no tbeen amazing. We prob wo<6plod have asked for

They take and take. Unless you spend hundreds or thousands you likely will not win big

It is a favorite place to visit for a birthday celebration .. Parking facilities, wheelchair available, restaurant, golf course ..

Nice casino. They are associated with MyChoice Rewards. You don't have to gamble alot to earn free hotel rooms. The hotel is very nice.

Very disappointed again. They need to step up their service and casino cleanliness.

Very unfriendly dealers. Almost seems impossible to walk out of this place satisfied, let alone a winner... the woman pit boss told me to "go cry about it" when i mentioned the dealer's 7 straight blackjacks in a row. Something fishy going on with this casino.
