Went on a windy day so most off the lifts were closed. Non withstanding seemed like a pretty decent mountain but EXPENSIVE.

This place was great, conditions and coverage along with many fast lifts and no crowd. Monday mid March. fantastic!
Wow this was a fun mountain!!!! Totally coming again!!
Beautiful trails. Blues felt like greens but I'm not complaining. Perfect place for beginners to learn.
Love the new gondola, it makes great use of the bottom Discovery Lodge and opens up the west side of the mountain
The skiing is great for the Catskills but the upper lodge is always crowded. If you don't ski, plan on standing around. The food is basic burgers and pizza. The 'bar' is a window where you can get beer. No cell service and the WiFi is spotty.
On the mountain, glades are limited so if you're looking for a good terrain park, other mountains would be better. There are challenging runs and they have a ski school. It's close to NYC, the traffic on good weekends is incredible, and there are speed traps all over the place. Be careful getting there.
Awesome place to go skiing great trails excellent parking
Nice place for skiing during fall and winter season.
Good mountain for varying skill levels. Wide trails, some difficult terrain for more experienced. Trails are short.
Didn t have the greatest conditions (but it s not their fault it randomly warmed up). People were all really friendly, had good mountain amenities but didn t have that music-blaring-at-the-base hey we re a giant fancy resort feeling. Good mix of terrain, spent two days skiing it and there was enough variety to keep me interested and challenged. I was there mid-week and there were plenty of times I had the gondola to myself. The only drawback is that it s literally in the middle of nowhere. Not easy to find a place to stay that s close by. But I d definitely visit again.
Excellent ski instructors, great variety for beginners and intermediates, not too crowded, and good, natural snow conditions, although a bit icy.
Great place for intermediate skiers.but don't see any ski patrol.??
It was awesome! Just wish they had night skiing and also a way to move people closer to the slopes because the lifts let you out far from the start of the slope. It's a minor thing. I had a fantastic day! Thank you!
This is a lovely mountain that has a strong family vibe. It's has some new pics and a gondola which give it more of a big mountain feel but it still has the heart of a small area.
Belleayre ski center was best ski center I have ever been too
New gondola is a nice addition and skiable overpass bridge for easy access back down to base lodge.
Good place for beginners. Not too crowded. Simpler trails
Fantastic mountain, great snow, super friendly and efficient race crew
Best Bloody Mary of any ski resort in the NE. Snow is almost always great when weather permits. Love the Belle
The gondola is awesome. No more sitting in the cold and exposed to the elements.
staff and administrator were very rude and not helpful at all, try another mountain
Best in the Catskills: the ONLY resort with a gondola! A quick warm 8min ride from the bottom to summit. Coolest and most knowledgeable ski instructors and a great day program for kids. Belleayre has it all! Glades, wide trails, long trails, challenging moguls, and a sick park! My go to mountain all winter long.
We missed the gondola, I think they stopped after Columbus weekend but we went there to hike and it was perfect with the kids. Plenty of parking, great views, and we even brought a picnic lunch which we had at Overlook lodge.
Lots of fun. The gondola is a nice break, a couple of minutes to relax warm up and get ready for another run.
Such a fun place to be! Lots of beginner and intermediate slopes for anyone
Good for families with kids, nice glades if conditions permits.
Great conditions today! No one there! Stay away, so I can have the mountain to myself!
Very good place they treat Verterans with extra respect. Awesome skiing and good food.
View was amazing gondola ride was relaxing perfect for a day out and some nice pics. Allot of trails for skiiers.
The place cloce at 4:00PM on the monday that I went. I think that was too early.
Been going here for a while great place. Highly recommended, but bring your own skis.
Great kids ski camp and lots of beginner trails for me too. Upper half has enough to entertain the expert skiers. Something for everyone! Only wish the lodge had more space. Gets insanely crowded on holiday weekends.
If you'd like to avoid the crush of industrial skiing at Hunter, I highly recommend Belleayre, where the trails are nicely groomed and frequently all yours for a few dozen yards at a time. There's a sufficient number of runs to occupy you for a day and the longer ones girdling the outside of the network of trails permit for some long leisurely trips down while requiring some keen attention and fancy footwork frequently enough to keep you on your toes -- where you ought to be anyway!
Two people who love Belleayre Moutian. I drive from Queens N.Y.
It takes Two and a half hours to 3 hours to get there. But it's worth the drive.
We usually go in the middle of the week. I never have found the mountain to be crowded.
We have brought friends who seem to really enjoy Belleayre as well.
Very busy mountain on weekends or when the snow falls. Nevertheless it is still the best mountain in the 3 hour drive radius from NYC.
Great mountain! Lots of runs for all skill levels! Great BBQ and beer selection.
Super small mountain and can get super crowded, but does the trick for a day trip.
I just think Bellayre is the best. Really nice mountain serviced by helpful staff.
I loved the trails and how they were set up. As a snowboarder, I was able to practice the moguls without practically dying. They were a manageable size. There's a nice gondola, a good amount of lifts, and some lifts have midstations. The terrain park looked pretty cool with different levels of features. There was a really cool bridge you can ride on that goes over the road leading to the parking area. The views on the mountain were absolutely gorgeous! There were multiple lodges and parking areas which is super convenient. The employees were very friendly as well
New gondola improves access by 100%. Haven't tried the new restaurant at the upper lodge yet.
The new gondolas and lodge make this place a must visit for families. Great skiing and beers!
Great place to get some nice slopes with varying difficulties. Price has jumped up to $100 since last winter for a snow board, helmet, boots, and a ski lift pass. They are currently almost complete with a new expansion to the indoor seating area. The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful with new skiers and snowboarders of all ages and everyone is very nice and friendly.
Love the place peace and quiet and all around place to spend the day
Great place to Ski amazing people who work there. Took a while to get the rentals but the day was not lost. The mountain and lifts was great. Cant wait to go back
Horrible parking. No signs or guides to help with additional parking.
RAN OUT OF RENTALS! How is that even possible?! Waste of time and effort. Never coming back again. Experience was poor from start to end.
Excellent lessons! If you want private lessons, speak to Sarah! She can best match you with the perfect instructor. Family atmosphere, always a good time!
A great mountain for someone who hasn't gone skiing in a while! The rental process was a little chaotic, I would advice getting there earlier than you think you should. As soon as we got our rental gear everything was smooth moving. Super friendly staff, too!
2nd time here, nice place for skiing, spent weekend there with frinds.
If you want to ski, this is the place to be. New gondola lift to the top. Many trails, all skill levels.
I've only been here once, so I can't vouch for it when conditions are poor, but I had one of the best days of skiing I have ever had in the Northeast. They had close to ten inches of snow two days prior, and the conditions were amazing.
Both the groomed and ungroomed trails were fantastic, but I have to acknowledge their grooming team. It was easy to tell that their grooming team is well-staffed, well-funded, and cares about the quality of it's work (versus many more popular hills where the grooming operations are woefully inadequate)
Great family experience. Nice trails, friendly people!
The lift up and down is a 5 star. However the amenities is not complete yet, and there is a long unpaved way to walk to the ticket booth.
So the slopes were great. Some icy patches st the beginner level slopes, but overall great. The logistics here was awful. Took over an hour to get parking and the parking staff were definitely acting like they didn't want to be there. Rest of the process was fine though.
Great mountain with a variety of easily accessible trails of varying degrees of difficulty. They have a lot of lifts which equates to short wait times although the trails can get a bit crowded, but hey, that just goes to show how popular the place is!
The staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. I bring everyone here :)
This place is VERY poorly operated. The parking is a mess, takes forever to drop off and get back by shuttle with nothing but a mud pit for the kids to stand in while waiting. The whole place is like a poorly run state park with ridiculously overpriced junk food ($3.75 for a small bottle of water). The lifts in the beginners area are rickety and slow. Just not worth the hassle. The website is amateurish and led me to believe they offered very reasonably priced private lessons for kids. They DON'T. Confirming it with the staff doesn't help. They confirmed the wrong price on the phone. Even though there was clearly room for a customer confusion here, I was ultimately offered nothing to make things right, not a refund on the difference certainly, not even a discount coupon. The place is run like the DMV. We've skied many comparable places (Labrador Mt. in NY, Hunter, Pat's Peak in NH, Shawnee Peak in ME) this place is a big step DOWN from those experiences.
Great place but we aware they do not allow you to drop off your gear at the lodge any more. Unless you want to pay a $20 fee to be able to pull up to the lodge. Not a problem for adults, but if you have children, you may want to go to a different ski mountain!
Good skiing, lots of trails. New gondola is a nice addition, they need to find out why vent windows are falling out.
mid stations are honestly annoying for those skiers/riders who are going all the way to the top
Nice little mountain with a great lodge and a new comfortable gondola for cold days
Great little ski mountain! Plenty of lifts so lines are short. Skiing for all levels. Beautiful new base lodge.
Avoid the crowds and enjoy the great trails they have to offer.
This is an awesome ski mountain. Close to Hunter and Windham, but much less crowded. They got a brand new gondola this past season, that goes from the bottom right to the top. And faster than all the other lifts.
I have been on Outlook lodge which is higher than base Discovery lodge. This is very cozy lodge with fire place and all essentials services, guest services desk, bar, sports shop are all within reach. From the lodge there are short ride down to Chief quad or gondola, or step up to trial char lift. Highly recommended.
Incredible maintenance and upkeep of the trails, fantastic, friendly and attentive staff! I'll be going back again and again to ski.
Didn't have much interactions, but people were nice
Never Answers their phone. Don't bother calling them.
Good ski resort cheaper than others in Catskills. But lifts are slower and snowmaking capability is. Not great. Only 1/2 mountain open mid Jan 2016.
Challenging terrain, great NEW gondola, friendly vibe. Some of the older chairs aren't as reliable.
