There's ny style pizza, Chicago style-This is Colorado style! Get it with everything on it! So good.went for the 45th anniversary
We were told we had to try this place while visiting from out of town. Honestly we werent blown away by anything. The place seemed kind of dirty and the food was sub-par. Everything was sticky. The view across the street of the waterfall was nice. Maybe we should've tried one of the newer locations?
Our waiter, Patrick was awesome! Super cool guy and great customer service from him!
Hope to get him again next time we go!
This has always been possibly the best pizza in Colorado.
First it took 15 minutes to get our drinks ordered. The service was horrible. We barely saw our waitress. We weren t even given plates to eat our pizza. We had to get plates from the salad bar. When my husband finished his drink she refilled it with the wrong drink. Secondly they are a little too proud of their pizza....it was $35 for a medium pizza when it was just decent tasting. You get more crust than toppings. And if you want dipping sauce for your crust it s an upcharge.
Awesome ambiance. Fantastic pizza! Great salad bar!
I'd eat at BeauJo's again when I go through Idaho Springs, but the shabby decor is in need of an update. Still a good place to have a beer and a good time.
Pizza was awesome! i sat on the patio and there was a beautiful view of a waterfall! my service was below average.. I ordered a beer and never got it. If it had been busy outside I would've completely understood. being a waitress myself I let a lot of things slide when I'm out to eat but oddly he had plenty of time to chit chat it up with the table next to me. tbh it was the most cringe worthy service I've gotten. and really not getting my beer is my only complaint but this guy wasn't writing anything down either so that doesn't help.
Pizza. Pizza. Pizzaaaaaaaaa. That's all you need to know. If you want to tickle your taste buds with probably the greatest pizza in existence, then drop what you're doing and get over to Beau Jo's ASAP!!!
This place changed the way I eat pizza. A friend insisted we visit,on our trip to Colorado...now we insist others visit, too! Perfect after a day of sightseeing! Bring your appetite!
Awesome place to grab a pizza, especially after a long day of hiking!
Had to wait 40 min but was worth every minute. Best around for mountain pie
Pizza choices are fantastic! Atmosphere is super laid back which is great after a day of hiking and the service is always spot on! Definitely recommend!
Pizza was very good, fast service. Skip the nachos, the chips were very stale. We had a dead bug inside of our honey bottle which the waitress replaced.
My host said that I HAD to eat here...a must! Was wonderful!
Delicious, but very pricy.
Guess you can be when you have pizza like nobody else:)
Honey cheese bread was the best cheese bread I've ever had. Although I am a honey lover..-their honey is amazing! Their pizza is really good (their sauce is the best imo), employees are super friendly!!
Pizza was delicious. service was good. atmosphere and location are nice. parking is not bad with a lot in back of the building. salad bar is kind of slim but what they had was fresh and tasted good. Price is as expected for a 'boutique' pizza place- not outrageous, not dominos. 4.5 stars because of small salad bar and salad price.
Best Beau Jo's in colorado. Historic building with nice views and not just the mountians
For years I have stopped at Beau Jos in Idaho springs for their pizza. This last time was terrible! The pizza was so oil it was very unpleasant. When your hands are covered in oil that's bad.
They have a great gluten free pizza crust. They initially left out the cheese on my pizza, but they made a new one. It left me eating well after my dinner party had finished but they were extremely sorry and comped my meal.
The mountain crust pizza is incredible I never thought that using honey on pizza crust would be something I would try but it is great
Great place for pizza. Fire cracker pizza with Mountain crust is my favorite.
Got stuck in I-70 traffic, it was easy to get here and order and plenty of seating. Great pizza too.
I have been going to Beau Jo's for over 30 years. Always a great place to go to on a road trip or a quick jaunt into the mountains.
This is a Must is you're in the area. Everyone knows that and now you do too.
I love the pizza, but if they started boxing just the pizza crust and selling it in stores, then I may never leave my house for food again.
Great ambience. Very old feel to the place, yet well maintained. Their menu caters to a wide variety
Amazing gluten free pizza and calzones. Best ever!
Absolutely love Beau Jo's. From when I lived in Colorado to when I go back to the mountains to visit, Beau Jo's is a must stop. As well it's a welcome respite from I-70 traffic.
Claire was really sweet and the pizza was hot fresh and delicious!
Love their pizza; be sure to ask for honey for the crust
A must if you're in Idaho Springs. Great pizza, awesome atmosphere, and many delicious local craft beers on tap.
We have been coming to eat pizza here for many years and it has never disappointed us. Very big and busy place, but they always have great food and service.
a little pricey but really cool mountain town with great food and service they need to keep the air conditioning a little higher, yes it was probably close to 60 degrees where I was sitting in was freezing and the blower didn't shut off the whole time I was there. I did take a little while to get the pizza but worth the wait
Absolutely loved our pizza. I kind of wish I could repeat my first bite into the pizza for the rest of my life. Definitely recommend!
The pizza is always good. Enjoy it every time we go.
Omg, everything was perfect. Never considered honey on the crust, but I'm a fan.
Been coming here since I was a kid, service has gotten a little worse over the years but the mystique and pizza has remained incredible. I try to take newcomers to i70 to Beau Jo's as for me it's a Colorado staple.
Came from NE for this pizza. Awesome crust. Very good to dip.
The best Beau Jo's! None of the others compare. We go out of our way to go there and visit Idaho Springs.
Was recommended by several people and businesses and I can at least say that they were right that it tastes phenomenal, but customer service was lacking hard. Was first quoted 25 minute wait to enter, turned into 60. Then got a table, hidden in the corner. Our waiter was the bartender and he was tending and serving the entire bar area alone, it seemed. He also liked to get a little too close for comfort. Apart from that, because of our poor location, he left us without refilled drinks for over 25 minutes whilst we had been waiting for our food for over 50. All of the food arrived flawless, but a little slow and the waiter/bartenders ineffectiveness didn't help. Might return in the future, but was not impressed by the service.
My favorite Beau Jo's location and a perfect pit stop on the way to the mountains. The pizza is a style of is own with honey for crust dropping.
I have been going to Beau Jo's Idaho Springs, CO for more than 40 years; no better place to get a "mountain pie" pizza. You may need to wait for a bit but is totally worth it.
First time having "Colorado style pizza". I was afraid it would be like Chicago style, which I don't quite like, but it wasn't. It was unique. I don't prefer the honey on the crust like they suggest but the pizza was good nonetheless.
Great place and service as well as pizzas of course!
The pizza is different then what you would normally expect. The crust is massive and the toppings are deep. Definitely give it a try, even if you don't like deep dish pizza, this is different. Quaint feel inside.
It is really a must stop if you are blowing through town. They also have a good salad bar.
The pizza we got here was amazing. having never had anything like the crust with honey we decided to try that and it was probably one of the best choices we made our entire trip. We also got their salad bar and it was perfect just what we had wanted.
The town just keep surprising us and this pizza place really was a pepperoni on the top.
A well-established pizza joint serving mouth-watering pies and other dishes in a log cabin atmosphere. Our 14er-induced ravenousness was sated by by their numerous dining options.
Definitely a 5 star experience!
Great service. Great food. YUM!
I'll fill you in later.
As always, amazing food, great service, and cool atmosphere.
The food was excellent! I guess we made the mistake of building our own pizza - it was $16 for a very small pizza with two toppings. If we return, I know to just buy one of their specialty pizzas. The honey on the mountain crust was incredible!
Great little spot in beautiful Idaho Springs. Their secret to their pizza is the crust that s searched with honey. Not to mention you can get up to 5lbs of cheese if you want.
Great pizza, reasonable priced, service was good! Love the honey on the crust. Salad var was goid too!
I don't eat much pizza these days, but enjoyed my first visit to Beau Jo's. It's situated in a building that has a lot of history, and the pizza is very unique. I had a "Mountain Pie" for the first time, and will recommend this to any pizza lover. The pizza is very filling, but it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Idaho Springs!
This was my first time here. The pizza is amazing and the waitress was awesome. I got to learn about the building and see the mining maps in the wall.
