Love to go here on the way home after hiking in Shenandoah. The bbq is fantastic and the sides are even better. Everything is homestyle cooking and the service is very friendly.

If I could have given it a negative it would have been well into the negatives the service was bad the seating was uncomfortable the parking was treacherous and the food was flavorless the brisket was overcooked and dry and had no flavor the only thing that was any good was the corn bread and butter the pulled chicken sandwich was not pulled the sweet tea was old and sour the coleslaw was dry and Bland and everything was overpriced

Wow, this place is great.

The pulled pork and chopped brisket were winners, along with the pork belly, which was smoky, savory, and delicious. And the hush puppies and fried green tomatoes were winners as well.

Save some room for dessert too!

Fantastic food, fantastic staff. Gives Texas BBQ a serious run for the money.

Excellent, beyond anything i hoped for, this is Real bar bque! Open pits over wood fires the smell alone is captivating, the staff outside so welcoming and friendly. The choices are so expansive it was hard to choose but then they offer a 3 choice variety plate! Holy cow i struck gold! Sides are varied coleslaws, beans fries yummy stuff. My husband is already wanting to go back,maybe we will see y'all there. Enjoy

I've long heard about this place and this was my first visit. Apparently everybody has heard about this place because it was packed. The barbecue insides were very good and I would probably have given this a 5 if it hadn't been so crowded and difficult to park. I would probably not go back at noon but certainly at some other time.

Pigs everywhere! Great BBQ! Buy a shirt and get a free dessert each time you wear it in.

Literally the best barbeque I have ever had. I go here every time I'm in town. If they had one back home I'd weigh twice as much.

I first ate the food from BBQ Exchange when they catered my daughter s wedding in June and I ve been making the 45 minute round-trip a couple times a week ever since!! Working my way through the menu and it s ALL so so delicious...
Exceptional by any standard

The desserts were great The barbecue was not to bed to give you a big meal for what you get it's a little bit pricey but most barbecue places are not cheap however wasn't to bed I've had better and I've had worse I rather go down to Williamsburg Va or Varina Va.

I CANNOT say enough about how much I loved this place. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was reasonably priced, and everything was delicious. My biggest problem was trying to decide which sides to get, because they had so many great ones! Was exactly what I was hoping for in a BBQ spot.

Visiting my sister and her family in the area and this was one they said we had to try. We got a big pan of brisket and brought it home for dinner. So good there was nothing left afterwards. Will be one of our regular stops when we come to the area

First time eating out in six months, and it's the same quality, value, and great customer service, just at an appropriate distance. Thank you for our first night "out" this summer!

Love it! It's the best bbq in the area! Brisket is on point and the sides are really good...plus the carry Pennsylvania Dutch birch beer!

Always great food and service. Fried pickle spears, grilled pork belly, cornbread and pumpkin rolls are amazing. Every time we come back to Va on vaca we stop here. Thank you again....

One of, if not the, best BBQ restaurants in Virginia. There are few that do both pork and beef well, but these folks have it down. Worth a trip from NOVA to eat here.

The food was good. But when I am in the south I expect the bbq to be awesome. I have had way better bbq in NJ. It was a little bland. And kinda expensive.

I had their food when they catered our work halloween party and it was great because it was free and because it was really good too. We just went tonight for dinner and it was kind of a shocker for the price at first at 44 bucks for 3 adults it's kind of pricy or more pricier than I would have thought but it was a really good meal but It just seemed enter when it was free at work!

Had the barbecue plate with turnip greens and Cole slaw. I t was so good that we had to buy a pound to take home along with a bacon brownie and rice Krispy treat. Can't go wrong with this choice.

Great food and a local favorite but it is time to expand to a larger place because it is so popular.

Good BBQ and I like that they have so many sauce options. The house-made pickles were my favorite. They have a great ordering style like Subway or Chipotle so they work people through at a pretty decent pace.

That has to be some of the best BBQ I've ever had at a restaurant and I have lived in states all over the east coast all the way west to California.

GREAT food...!!! We are from Richmond. We ordered our food drove home to have it for dinner tonight... firstly there was a hiccup with our Mac and cheese... but was fixed at that time. Thank you! Next, unfortunately the young lady on the porch at 11am this morning handing out orders wasn't friendly... I know we all have off days but we all have jobs because we have customers. Now we sat down to eat and we didn't get ANY of the sauces that we ordered...
again the food was great, but disappointing not to have gotten everything.

The food and the service are both fantastic. The atmosphere is fun and comfortable and you get a sense of family and enjoyment when you eat here. Delicious, reasonably priced, and great variety on the menu.

It's really good for the area, but I have had much better across the nation.....

This place is good old fashioned BBQ at its finest. It won't dissapoint.

I tried calling five times ahead of time to get take out. No one answered, i drove 25 min to get there and there was a line to the door. I stayed another 25min and the lined barely moved. At which point i saw 2 people get take out.. I asked them and they said they answered the phone. I called from the line and on the second call i finally got through.. But was told it was going to be awhile.. So i left..
This place makes great food but does not have the infrastructure to handle peak times. This was a friday night and it looked like only 4 people were working. The management may think its fine not answering the phone while busy but they will lose customers who only want to pick up..not to mention the customers they lose because the line is like the dmv. Several people left this long line.. The company could better with a properly managed team.

About $10 a person for a plate. Season your BBQ with your own flavors, hot, sweet, vinger, bacon.

First time eating here and I must say that this place is everything. If you need that bbq fix I recommend you come here.

Food was delicious! Service was pretty quick despite the fact they were pretty swamped!

Great authentic bbq (low and slow with smoke). Great selection of meats to try and platter options so you can try more than one at a time. Lots of sides to choose from as well. Fried green tomatoes are wonderful. Good sauce selection if you feel the urge to use it (my fac is the QX Sweet)

Delicious pulled pork and the best hush puppies I've ever had! The staff could not have been nicer to my little girls. We were really glad we stopped.

Absolutely incredible. Everything made there. Good portion sizes, good prices. I am absolutely stopping here everytime I need food near Gordonsville.

The BBQ had a really god smokey flavor, very juicy and tender. The rib meat was just falling off of the bone. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good BBQ meal.

Any amazing BBQ experience. Think flavor explosion meets throw back 80's feel. Great stuff!

The meat is very very smokey. Great desserts. Fantastically curated beverage selection. Try some of their special hot sauces.

I drive an hour and a half to eat this great barbeque. Highly recommend the Barbeque Exchange. The place gets busy but they have a very good staff and restaurant runs like a well oiled machine.

Best barbecue you can find without going to a building that's been condemned! Parking is challenging. Will be back, but probably do takeout.

Busy, but delish! We swung through here after apple picking, having chosen from Google on a whim (we aren't familiar with the area), and we're glad we did! It was very busy on a Saturday afternoon-- the line was long, but there was still space to sit inside, so that was nice. The food was really good-- pretty standard pulled pork BBQ stuff, but done well. The hush puppies were good too!

Traveling through town. Excellent food and location. Fast and courteous staff. Highly recommend!
