The Catering Outfit Review

The Catering Outfit is an excellent choice for any of your catering needs. My first time experiencing their work was at a party for about 300 people and it was impressive to watch them operate. From the creatively simple, delicious, beautifully displayed food, to the friendly, knowledgeable staff, these guys are true professionals. Since then, I have been to other events they have catered and I have to say, every time, the consistency of food and service is amazing. So amazing that we've hired them for our wedding in June!!

I only know this company as TCO2go, but a silver lining in this whole pandemic has been this company pivoting and opening a pop up restaurant.

Drive through as a concept is not really novel, but their tent set up in the parking lot makes it feel a bit more special.

Most importantly the food is good. The menu is southern / BBQ and is more upscale than any other drive through I've experienced. By Google's number of dollar signs rating I'd call the quality in the $$-$$$ range. Of course you're on your own for plating and presentation; trade off of the convenience you're getting!

My wife and I got married recently and chose The Catering Outfit to cater as well as Courtney to be our day of coordinator. The food was terrific and the staff was great! We used a buffet style and things went incredibly smooth! Our guests loved the food and kept letting us know as we saw them on the dance floor. The day of coordinator service from Courtney in tandem with the great staff of the catering group made our day stress free, despite having the rearrange due to weather multiple times. We would highly recommend TCO for anyone looking for a great catered experience for their next gathering.

The Catering Outfit is an amazing find in the Charlottesville area! They offer extensive menus at reasonable prices. The chef and team will cater to all tastes. Delicious! Highly recommended for weddings and other important events!

The pop-up dinner nights here are awesome!!! If you're lucky enough to find out when one is you should definitely go it's a treat!! So I only could imagine with the catering is like I would definitely use them!!

I have now been to a few events catered by the Catering Outfit and they have all been amazing! The food is delicious and the servers polite and extremely hard working, trying to make it an enjoyable experience for all. In fact we were so impressed that they will be catering at our wedding this June. Walter and his staff have been wonderful to work with, flexible and focused on making the event special but within our budget. I would definitely recommend them to others for a range of different events from casual to formal.

We are so pleased with the quality of the food, service, and overall professionalism of the staff of TCO. Additionally, we hired Courtney for day of coordinating and she was a dream to work with. Our wedding was seamless thanks to Courtney's expertise and management of the vendors and venue. We truly felt taken care of by Courtney. Highly recommend hiring Courtney and TCO!

Review of TCO2Go: The cigarette butts in the buckets weighting the cashier tent down are REALLY gross. Also, a lot of the employees stand right outside the front doors smoking cigarettes, which makes the whole process of picking up food unpleasant. I won't be back for that reason -- too bad because the food is pretty good.

Whenever I'm looking for an event that both excites and wow's The Catering Outfit is my go to! As a planner, having a strong caterer as a part of my vendor teams is absolutely key. TCO has continued to impress me time after time with their food quality and presentation, exceptionally friendly and skilled staff, and their ability to execute flawlessly on-site. I will always be confident going into wedding days knowing the TCO team is by our sides!

Participated in a tasting for a friend's wedding. Super impressed with the quality of the food and professionalism of the company. Also the tasting space is really nice!

I really wanted to like this company. They were recommended by another vendor for my wedding this past weekend. When we went for a tasting it was a lovely experience. Delicious food, wonderful service. Truly, this is where the positive experience ends. The closer my wedding got, the less I heard from them. The employee who was our contact there quit halfway through working with them, but that s no excuse for dropping the ball. They missed deadline after deadline with my rental company and hardly ever answered an email. I had to call and basically throw a fit to get anyone to work on my wedding. I thought, as long as the food is good, I ll be happy. It was mediocre. The pasta was watery, the green beans were under cooked. Everyone said the chicken was the star of the show...I m vegan. To top it all off, their staff misplaced my table numbers from a different vendor, and they hardly offered any help in tracking them down. So, now I m having to pay for those myself. Overall, a huge disappointment.

I m a huge fan of softshell crab and this sandwich hit a homerun this afternoon. Perfectly done w/ an heirloom tomato touch. Outstanding.

Poor customer service and attention to detail. I would not recommend working with them on this alone. Eventually I decided to forgo working with them as a result.
