Great desserts options. Trendy place. Perfect location.
Of course the food is nice. But the three twits standing and chatting to eachother instead of serving us ruined it. Customer service doesnt exist actually. Not to mention the horrendous state of the menus.
Food is descent coffee is overpriced 7.50$ for a coffee
I always enjoy a cheat meal here. Best desserts around
Took my daughter here for crepes. Something like $25 for an undercooked goopy crepe and a black coffee. May as well throw your money into the bay. I took my daughter to the Cook's River Canteen at Gough Whitlam Park to show her the comparison and paid $13 for the same style of crepe and much better coffee and lovely friendly service. Sure the crepe was served in a cone with a plastic fork, because this is a takeaway cafe so we sat at the picnic benches but a gorgeous riverside setting, no battle for parking and a bonus biscuit with my coffee at almost half the price.
This place was OK, very loud music and the best thing on the plate was the ice cream, if the prices were a bit lower I would give a far better rating.
Great food and desserts. Vesi the server was very polite and friendly
Delicious dessert shop~
The amount of dessert is very large. If you are full, it is recommended not to order too much~
The crepe tastes very good, but it is a bit sweet for me~
The ice cream is also delicious, and the roommate thinks the fruit is a bit sour~
Overall it is a great shop~
Delicious menu! Great atmosphere and friendly staff
Yummy. Crepes were delicious. My favourite is the oreo one. Would come again
I have visited this establishment numerous times with different friends.
The consensus amongst us is agreed.
They serve large portion savoury meals and desserts, but the quaility of the dishes can be very average to awesome depending on the time of the visit.
The place is usually busy, crowed and very noisy, so the staff can be very abrupt at times.
Awesome range of desserts! So hard to choose between all of them!
We waited for some time and were ignored by the girl and guy standing and blocking the door. They were busy chatting to each other. When they eventually noticed we were waiting (standing in front of them) they turned and walked in side. They did not even speak to us. We did not end up eating here as the service was so unprofessional.
Always have an amazing time there... love the Banana Fudge Crepe
The Poli Oreo is must if you come here #YUMMY
Good Quick service...
10/10 for me...
Bad customer service and they don't have tap water.
Wonderful place to visit for a small dessert or something large for the whole group!
Delicious. Great service and ample seating. Highly recommend. Loved the Rio De Janeiro ice cream bowl, the coconut was my favourite flavour.
I tried the savoury crepe and dessert waffle and they were out of this world. The portions were pretty generous as well.
Love this place. Lime thick shake is the one to get.
Ordered Ricotta and Blueberry pan cakes and Nuttella crepes. They were ok. Then we ordered some drinks White chocolate CremBrulee and Nuttella based drink bothe were horrible, Its not rich tastes like we just had chocolate souce from woolies. Very watery and not enough richness of chocolate or Nuttella. Bad experience. Max Brenner is much much better!
Bad egg smell in a meringue cake. No good customer service.
Staff always pleasant and smiling, order taken and filled fast, following social distancing and all satisfied customers.
This place rocks! In peak times you may line up to get table but your served so quickly. They're true hospitality professionals! It's always a pleasure coming to this dessert venue. The selection is huge! So you're cravings are covered! Also turn up whenever you want. It's doesn't close until 1am. Brilliant
Music was so loud it blew our heads, despite asking staff politely twice as well as respectfully a third time asking the manager . He said yes but went and made it even louder. Very rude and unprofessional.
The Adults only ice cream was so appealing in picture but different when served.
We asked the staff why the cup in pic was overflowing in the pic but ours was not even filled up to the top, she didn't know why even when shown the pic in the menu against what we had been served. She referred us to the kitchen and they said "oh the pic is a different cup and smaller that's why it's overflowing and this is not" but you could tell our cup was the same size or even smaller.
Over priced and Just cunning people into ordering...
I would give it "0" or "-1" star if I could but it's not available.
Won't even go past the front door again and won't be recommending them to anyone either.
Yuma kuma (black day - Assyrian) the day we came here. Worst service ever. We got charged $40 for waffles; then they realised they over charged us. The food was disgusting including the service from the staff. They provided the wrong dish; then once we ate they asked for the wrong dish back. It took 30 minutes for this process. I felt like I ate cardboard not waffles. Never coming back here again
Too crowded at times !
The service is quick though !
The desserts are decent.
Best dessert cafe I've ever visited. Always packed and has variety of desserts, some average and some superb. They have such huge bowls, almost filling oneself. Nevertheless the atmosphere created is very nice with happening music and a place worth chilling at.
Here s my advice. Fast all day THEN go to Bay Vista for dessert
These folks know dessert. The menu items are world class and you don t just get an average presentation. Your sweets arrive carefully crafted using color, texture, shape and flavor to blow away your senses. It s a fun place with great bay/beach views and the perfect way to cool off after a day in the sun.
dont order the deconstructed strawberry cheesecake if you like your cheesecake with cheese.
A little pricey, but the portion sizes are HUGE. The tirimisu I had saw simply amazing. Wish the music was so loud as it was hard to talk to people.
Over-priced and over-sized. I had a lime tart which tasted stale. No table water and no table service. We were seated near the front and I don't know if this guy was a manager or a security guard, but he just hovered near us and made a lot of unnecessary eye contact.
Weird evening atmosphere as well, very loud and rowdy.
Our favorite dessert bar in Sydney since 2013. Place is very nice. Lovely staff.
Worst customer experience ever. Asked for some water for my dog and a waitress told me that was not possible. Ridiculous.
Nice place to hang out with friends for a quiet night in Brighton. Great coffee, amazing desserts and normal prices. I would definitely recommend banana crepe, it's quite big and filling but extremely delicious.
Great place to eat. Fresh food & the icy berry drink was excellent.
Great service, huge variety of dessert choices and delicious food. Whether you're after cold or hot, sweet or savory, Bay vista has a huge range of crepes, waffles, parfaits and icecreams to indulge on. Serving portions are quite large and note that this place can get quite busy during dinner hours.
Every thing was amazing prices where ok and grate service thank you bay vista
Friendly service. Large servings of your favourite desserts/crepes. Also light snacks/specialty shakes&beverages/kids meals and lots more. There can be a bit of a wait if busy but definitely worth it.
Absolutely stunning range of desserts to choose from and a beautiful view of the sea....what else do you need
Decent food and atmosphere of the place is always buzzing. Little bit overpriced
Food is below average. Service was crap! Gus peanut butter shake is just a jar of peanut butter with a straw in it not enjoyable at all!!
Do NOT recommend going. Oh Dezerts please come back soon sydney needs you!!
Okay, not good. I ordered lemon and sugar crepes. Very large sizing, and the sugar 'set' into a crunchy, overly sweet, sickly mixture (I couldn't finish). Coffee was nice. Pastries (taken away) did not taste very fresh. Quite expensive all round. Staff were great!
When you have a sweet tooth, you come here!
Its every dessert lovers dream, an abundance of options on their menu to suit everyones fancy. My personal favourites are the fondu for two and the Athens 2001.
A variety of dessert favourites that will push your stomach to the limits.
They are larger items and higher quality so price is a premium.
The difference of indulgence yr looking for. Brilliant.
Good atmosphere for group.
A bit noisy music, good range of desert and price
It's a great place to hang out but of lately the waffles have become kind of soggy and taste bit different than it used to.
Bay vista is a long standing restaurant very popular for its pricey desserts.. With a beach side view its popular with the younger crowd, families with children & the ladies.. Pancakes are fluffy with a choice of melted milk chocolate sauce or maple syrup do not make the mistake of getting both & pouring much of the sauce in the jug on the pancakes like I did or it will be overly sweet & you won't be able to finish it... comes with diced banana-strawberries & ice cream yum! Another rich dessert is the melted chocolate covered Profiteroles roles with balls of whipped cream & diced strawberries.. I noticed many people ordering decadent large bowls of gourmet ice creams with diced fruit looked appealing
Really indulgent - maybe ask for less nuts if you don't like nuts so much - can be quiet overpowering.
First time, will know to share next time. Great selection.
If you are into decadent chocolate desserts, you will love this place!
Amazing. We ordered takeaway. Presentation of the waffle was amazing. Taste was delicious. Ice cream and sauce was in containers so didn't melt or make the waffle soggy and everything was yummy. Hubby can't wait to visit again.
Great atmosphere. Dessert was amazing. Great place for the family.
We ordered the mud cake and caramel cheesecake. Generous servings but great for the sweet fix, really good quality and delicious taste! Love the presentation with the ice cream scoop and melted chocolate to pour over! Will be back for sure!!
A little on the pricey side, but the taste, presentation and seating makes it all worth it.
Famous for it's large desserts and has been here for many years.
I gave it the 2 stars because it is in a nice location and if there is a massive range of desserts to pick from and the long black was nice.
My complaints are it is expensive and the desserts aren't actually quality desserts. They are the kind of desserts where they stick together a bunch of lower quality confectionery sweets on some ice-cream(or sorbet) and serve it to you, which seems to be a popular thing these days.
I myself had the Ban-apple Pie, it was around ~$14. The pie's ingrediants tasted subpart and the crust seemed a bit old, not worth the money or the sugar coma it gave me.
Also, you guys have a nice setup for date's. Turn down the music so people can talk.
Great experience. The team is very friendly including the manager as we needed some clarity with the halal options and the manager came all the way and advised what s good to go and what s not. Good location and ambience on church street. A lot of must try on the menu. But if you feel like snacking go for the chicken burger (comes in a milk bun) with fries and it s simply amazing.
If you are after a good dessert, this is the perfect place. Nice menu, plenty of options and delicious food. Addicts to chocolate will love it. Sometimes can be crowded and not easy if you're going with kids.
The prices are ok for the amount of sugar that you can get in the plate.
Recommended for couples, families and groups of people who want to come and enjoy a delicious plate of sweet food.
Came with family visiting from overseas, went to order for the table, asked if they had tiramisu, and they said yes so I asked for it as well as the entire order, paid and went back to the table. 40 minutes later I was the only one who hadn t received my order, when I asked the waitress she had a blank look on her face, after 5 minutes she (the person that told showed me tiramisu on the menu)came back with a receipt and said well you didn t actually pay for it because I didn t put it through so it s not coming and that was it. When I mentioned what had happened to the manager, his response was, sorry about that, you know how these kids are and walked off.
That was my experience,
I am a local and will never be back.
Just went for a coffee. Couldn't try the desserts yet.
The worst waffle I ve ever had in Sydney. It s obviously not fresh baked. I m so disappointed. The waffle does not match its price! The only good thing about this cafe is its location.
Everything was way too sweet for me, and I always thought I had a sweet tooth. But if you like sweet stuff, you'll like Bay vista
