Very noisy. Huge range can make it difficult to decide. Ice creams nice and very creative but better Gelato down the street for a better price. Young girl with long black hair who served us upstairs Sunday night needs some service skills. A smile is free and goes a long way.

The desserts here are incredible and very filling. They are like a meal in themselves, so make sure to leave plenty of time after lunch or dinner. Actually, you could even just have ice cream for dinner, why not?

I can t say this enough customer service!!!

To the Tall skinny guy with black hair you have to be the worst staff member I ve ever had to meet in my life I think your name started with M Mick or Micheal or something like that..

First off I go to a lot of restaurants and give a full review on the radio.

To the Owner and Manager your staff stand around talking to each other!!! Also the music it s way to loud you might want to think about turning it down as a suggestion.

Now the tall guy with black hair who looks like he is in his early 20s he was clumsy and rude!!!

I will never come back again the food was good so good job to the chefs and money for value was reasonable.

But you may think of hiring some new staff that want to work!!.
If I wanted some one to be rude to me and my friends I would go to fast food takeaway joint!! Not a restaurant that is supposed to have excellent customer service! And this was not the case at your venue and also if you re going to smoke please spray some deodorant before serving us I am sure no one want s to smell your staffs smoke when we are having some delicious deserts!!

I am a Shamed to have eaten at this place I was told so many good things about Bay vista desserts bar.

Very busy and great spot for desserts. Went with friends late night on public holiday. We arrived 10 minutes before closing, was scared to be served. Staff were very helpful. Thanks for accommodating us

Massive choice for a dessert lover, which I'm not by the way. And the size of some of them is unbelievable. Nice that it is open till late, which is quite rare in Sydney.

I've been here quite a few times over the years, and it's always such a treat. The desserts are HUGE and are always tasty. The music, however, is super loud. So, be prepared if you're planning on coming in for a 'quiet' date night dessert.

I have visited this amazing establishment on multiple occasions. The food here is seriously second to none. The Quality and Quantity of the food is on par. Most dessert places will charge you an Arm and a leg for something half arsed. When coming to Bay Vista you will be paying great prices and the size of the food is definitely to share. Still doesn't stop myself from ordering a Thick Shake and Crepes each time I do come here haha. The team here are amazing and make myself feel welcome to always come back. A busy dessert bar, so prior bookings are preferable. But, the view outside is just amazing.

What is not to love about this place! It is near the sea, it has music, is like a pub but instead of alcohol it is CHOCOLATE. Any dessert you can think of they have it, chocolate they have it in barrels. My eyes are always bigger than my belly when I go and the food is always delicious. Never been disappointed.

Had the waffles and cronut. Not worth the price at all. Tasted stale. Regret is all I got from here.

This place is a hole and the staff are so stuck up. There are a number of other dessert places in the area I would definitely rather go to.

Bay Vista is a treat, i have read through the reviews below and believe they are extremely harsh and critical. One of the best place's for dessert in Sydney, great atmosphere and amazing views of the bay. I would ignore the below reviews and try it for yourself.

Place is in a good position with an average menu and too pricy. The menus are dirty to the point that you might catch a disease.
I had to order waffles with different tops and drinks for three people and that had to happen at the counter. I mean do you expect us to do your job? I talked to the manager about that and with an I want to hit you attitude he replied that this is their policy. The staff were rude and never turned around to check if we needed anything else. No wonder that this place is going from bad to worst!!! Never going to step my foot here again. Btw the waffles came within 2,5 - 3 minutes and as a chef I assure you that they were premade.

It was really beautiful place near Clovelly Beach. We had risotto and special specific type of Italian dish with octopus and chorizo. They were good size for share. We had a great view to the beach. The staff was very friendly however the prices were a little higher than your average medium price for lunch. If you like seafood it's the place to go. They also have fusion Italian dishes.

The bulldog at the door was rude af! The menu...too dirty, too sticky, too unacceptable!!!! I ordered the Africa Wild as it was the only thing that i could read on the menu and it was tasty.

A now classic dessert place in Brighton that serves not only sweets but also savoury treats until well into the late evening. Always busy, so allow extra time. Also recommend wear stretchy pants because the servings are as huge as they are delicious. Definitely a treat!

Agree with most other reviews here about this place, they need hire better staff and definitely some basic hospitality training, as simple as it might sound, the staff here seem to lack very basics of this industry such as smile on staff's faces, greetings, follow ups on table, staff behind the counter are just running around like a headless chicken with very little clue!

If you have a craving for sweet or savoury treats and want a decent catch up with friends, this is your place! It can be extremely loud inside. With so many pages to their menu and being open late hours, I can see why this place remains so busy consistently and easily a favourite with the locals here.

Open till late at night, great to visit when you've friends over and need a place to hang around after hours.

Serves are pretty big, they are great for sharing and is a bit difficult to finish after dinner.

A decent dessert bar along the Grand Parade. Yummy, vibrant, and affordable. Worth trying!!

Bay Vista is a Brighton favourite for desserts, so be prepared to wait 30-45 mins on Friday and Saturday nights. Their desserts are okay, but very expensive. The chocolate used there is very high quality chocolate, similar to that of max brenner.

Best night music was off the chain. Great atmosphere & just such a big hotel loved it loved it. Be going back again with family that live not so far from there. Recommend this place to everyone

Extremely popular doesn't always mean good, the atmosphere is great but their product is overpriced and grumpy staff (well not all but most of them are grumpy).

Great selection. Staff are great. Sooooo busy at times. And the place is crammed with people.

I'm not much of a dessert person but it was lovely and very extra. There's also savoury and i had a grilled sandwich but wasn't something to rave about. However, great place for family and friends who have a sweet tooth!

Worst experience ever, waffles were dry, service was horrible, food was overpriced. Bugs in our water, and to top it off, was charged a dollar to refill hot water. Do not come here, would not recommend.

Fantastic place for desert and only food place including innovative products with beach view

Went on a rainy weekend day and the restaurant was still very busy so we had to wait about 15 minutes just to get seated. BUT it was definitely worth it as the food was unique and there was a vast array of options. We got the Supreme Fifth avenue cheesecake which was not very nice but the Swiss alps was delicious! be sure to get there early for a seat.

Quality desserts , but the pricing did not make sense at all, everything was an add on .Spent $30 on my own dessert which was pancakes and an iced coffee .The service was poor too ,and didn't know you needed to pay for tap water these days either.

Three sweet orders and one savory. In summary for any sweet delicacy will be served swiftly, other than that just have to be patient.

We had Peanut Butter Jelly A Thickshake, Mango Smoothies, Premium Waffle Strawberry NYBC, and Premium Smoked Salmon Waffle.

The thickshake is too sweet, the smoothies is alright sweet, and waffle plating presentation is quite amiss(maybe better with a custom plate), the salmon waffle was perfect.

Overall was good, too bad we got full to quickly.

A nice place to get a late night dessert and glass or two of wine with a friend. Not too loud so conversation can still be had comfortably. No botrytis on the wine menu though.

Pancakes on the rocks have better pancakes. Bay Vista s are all sickeningly sweet. Ugh.

If I didnt have teenagers I would give this place a big miss. Set in the inhospitable part of Brighton Le Sands were parking is a "good luck to you my friend" and the busy road is a noisy neighbour, Bay Vista is somewhat of an oasis.

I say somewhat as on the occasions that we have been the place is rowdy and noisy. Could everyone be having sugar rushes I concluded?

Quite likely as this is a sweet toothed individuals Wonka factory. From the well thumbed, dirty menus that you get they have lots of varieties that would send any kid on an astral high. Ice cream combinations larger than your head, waffles with sickeningly sweet syrups and cakes and slices of all descriptions.

If thats not enough sugar for you, combine it with one of their hot chocolates for a food coma.

Our kids love it, of course they do, and as it would seem so do many other kids as the average age of the customers here is teen and millennial. It could also explain the noise and why I suggest that if you are older than 30 you may want to bring ear muffs and/or a hip flask.

The Bay Vista serves up some very cool deserts. The place is always pumping with music so hope you enjoy a loud and lively atmosphere. There is also seating upstairs. The Inca Gold is a favourite and recommendation. They also serve delicious waffles. It's right across from Brighton Le Sands beach. So after a nice meal have desert here to top it off. Sometimes you have to line up...it's that popular!

As a fun and tasty experience, this restaurant / cafe / dessert palace is a great place to pop in. We came in with our 3 kids and the place was mostly full with the small queue at the front clearing quickly. A diverse clientele of families, friends, young people just hanging out and ordering large (and in some cases, huge) desserts. We had some crepes and waffles with Nutella and fountain chocolate. Sweet, sticky and very luxurious and we loved it from the first mouthful. 2 plates were enough for the 5 of us and cost just over $30. The music is loud with a strong beat but not too much.

Dirty old menu s, dessert was well below average, whipped cream more than anything to fill up the huge serving glasses. Over priced for basic ice cream and chocolate. Only good thing was how quick everything came out.

Pretty ordinary on the service n the method of not serving tables upstairs and paying before hand etc etc does not work for you guys... also the coffee was not even mildly hot.

The custom ice cream bucket we had was awesome but not being able to substitute a flavour was a bit weird especially since they were out of that flavour and we werent allowed to choose something else. It was also unexpectedly busy but overall great desserts and lively place

The savoury food was average. The desserts some good some average. The service not good. The waitress was standing next to us and the Register. When asked if we could have water she said you have to get it from there Pointing behind her then walked away to do nothing. It was also very quiet there at the time. When given water at the counter she wouldn t take three steps to bring to our table even though she had no other customers. The barista lady glared when the kids stood up to leave and were picking each other up playing. The girl at the door didn t say goodbye or thank you she just turned her back. No greeting either when you go to order. Rubbish really when so much competition around them.

This is one of those places that I would have absolutely adored in my teens and early 20s. It has a fun atmosphere. Loud music. Tasty and generous food. I realised when our orders arrived that I should have shared with my wife. It was so much! I will definitely go again. The only negatives were that the music was so thumping loud it made conversation difficult and also the staff were just not that welcoming.

Great atmosphere and staff are friendly and helpful. Food is good but servings are too much for 1 person and are extremely rich.
